About Me
I'm a food writer with more than a hundred Boston Globe articles to my credit. Now I'm trying out the writing-for-myself thing. I live with my husband and a few cats who also love to eat. I spent a year in cooking school and then two in pastry kitchens. I like to say I'm a pastry chef, retired, at the old age of not-in-my-twenties-anymore. Now my day-job allows me to fund my food writing habit (as well as pay the mortgage until Mr. Food is out of law school!). I'll eat nearly anything once, unless confronted wtih canned tunafish. I'll eat pickles, as long as they're not made from cucumbers. My favorite dessert is cupcake (chocolate cake, vanilla frosting) and I love a good bowl of pasta with cheese (fresh grated Parm-Regg). And, if it's baseball season and I'm not in the middle of eating or thinking/writing about food, good chance I'm watching the game. Go, Sox!
