And I’ll say it again: It’s not fair to regulate what an 18 can view based on what is appropriate for a 5 year old. Not only is it not fair, it’s not allowing teachers to reach some of our TEKS (state objectives).  I am sick and tired of having people who have no idea WHO I teach, WHAT, I teach, or even HOW I teach it.

Babynames.com is now open at school, but I have serious problems when I teach Paradise Lost and Dante’s Inferno. My head spun when I tried to have my students go to www.hellpizza.co.uk to examine the pizzas and try to identity the allusions in the pizzas (did they come Inferno, Paradise Lost, or the Bible?) – the students were blocked. We weren’t given a reason why – just the white screen on censorship.

And please don’t tell me to write a Help desk ticket – I’ve done those before, and (if they ever get allowed), the teachable moment is gone. even if they get it approved for the next day, I might already be in another unit – I *am* on an accelerated schedule, you know.

I was told by one person that I should have my web page requests turned in at least 32 (preferably 48) hours before I want to to use. Cute. There are two issues here sparky, that I’d like you to consider:

1. When my students do research, I have no idea what webpages that they will stumble upon and read. Sure, you could say that I could take all of the extra time to determine a set number of appropriate webpages and only allow students to go to those webpages, but that is ridiculous. Since when is it appropriate for teachers to constrict learning? That’s like saying we will ONLY use the textbook to learn from. No workbooks. No experiments. No demonstrations. No field trips. Nothing. Just the textbook. Also, it’s not in line with the College and Career Readiness Standards. Do you think NetTrekker prepares high school students for internet-based assignments in college?

2. There is NO WAY for teachers to determine what webpages are restricted to students, so even if I wanted to comply with #1, there is really no way for me to, unless you want me to send IT a copy of every webpage that I use instructionally?

Argh. Anyone out there have any tips dealing with the censorship of the internet?

At the UFC 106 post-fight press conference, Tito Ortiz mentioned that he had been approached about being a coach on The Ultimate Fighter 11. Ortiz expressed an interest in coaching opposite Forrest Griffin – then meeting Forrest for a rubber match at the season’s conclusion. On the latest edition of ESPN MMA Live, Griffin seemed less interested, stating that he could go his whole life without coaching a season of TUF again. In their respective coaching stints, Ortiz and Griffin coached against the least successful coaches in TUF history – Ken Shamrock and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson respectively. A coaching battle between the two should prove to be competitive.

A coaching duel between Ortiz and Griffin on TUF 11 would be ideal. Neither fighter currently poses a legitimate threat to current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida, yet both still have viable names in the sport. Coaching TUF 11 would do nothing but enhance their viability. Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin are both fighters who can sell pay-per-views without a title on the line, and a second stint for each as a coach on TUF 11 would enhance the fighters’ ability to do so. The foundation of Forrest Griffin’s career is The Ultimate Fighter reality show – from winning TUF 1 to coaching against Rampage. Coming off two knockout losses, against Rashad Evans and Anderson Silva, and a slightly controversial decision victory against Tito, Forrest should do whatever he can at this point to maintain his viability as a UFC fighter. As for Tito – he is the most actively self-promoting fighter in the history of mixed martial arts. Tito knows a good opportunity when he sees it; that is why he has been campaigning for the opportunity.

1: Pushing too hard in this unhurried low-energy cycle will slow you down to a pace where patience and humility will be your only means of moving forward. A slower and more patient approach will produce the results you want.

Несмотря на то, что “Крем” не является приключенческим сериалом, трюковых сцен там хватает. В одной из них главная героиня, испробовав на себе волшебный крем, превративший ее в красавицу Клару из ее любимого романа, вдруг обнаруживает, что банкой с кремом заинтересовалась оказавшаяся рядом собака и уже готова утащить ее. Героиня, бросившись в погоню за собакой, выскакивает на дорогу, где ее случайно сбивает машина.

К счастью, в ДТП она почти не пострадала, более того за рулем машины оказался модный фотограф, сразу отметивший красавицу профессиональным взглядом.

Съемки были особенно непростые. Во-первых, готовился сложный каскадерский трюк – в сцене ДТП героиню подменяли профессиональным трюкачом. Во-вторых, снимались животные, а к ним нужен особый подход. Четвероногих героев было два: черно-белый песик Фиц и рыжий кот Тима.

Съемки велись в одном из московских дворов. Чтобы избежать накладок и аварий (ведь задействованы автомобили), перекрылись все подходы и подъезды к месту съемок. А случайных прохожих и автовладельцев сотрудники ДПС и администраторы разворачивали в обход, почти как в известном фильме: “Бабушка, туда не ходи, сюда ходи”. На всякий случай, на площадке дежурил врач “скорой помощи”.

Сцену с машиной снимали в несколько этапов. Растрепанная Маша Семкина (Клара) выбегала на дорогу, перед ней пролетали несколько машин и резко останавливались прямо перед затормозившей черной “Шкодой”. Поначалу актрисе было страшновато, и она не добегала до несущихся почти на нее автомобилей. Но после нескольких дублей нужный эффект был достигнут.

Сцену с собакой снимали отдельно. На площадку привели двух почти одинаковых черно-белых псов. Ирина, отвечающая за животных, объяснила: “Мы взяли двух похожих собак из соображений гуманности. Им предстоит множество дублей, когда надо много бегать и резко тормозить. Если все это будет делать один пес, то у него сотрутся лапы. Совесть не позволяет нам так эксплуатировать животных”.

Их “коллега”, рыжий красавец-кот по кличке Тима, на удивление индифферентен к бегающим вокруг собакам. Даже когда одна из них подбежала к нему знакомиться, он лишь презрительно скосил на нее зеленый глаз. Хозяйка кота объяснила, что у них дома давно живет собака, поэтому Тима привык к ним и, в отличие, от других кошек, не считает их классовыми врагами.

Самыми ответственными съемками стали кадры, когда героиню (точнее, ее дублера) должна сбить машина (не насмерть, естественно, – Клара отделается испугом).

“Это очень сложный и дорогой трюк – здесь автомобиль по-настоящему сбивает каскадера. Мы надеемся снять его с одного дубля”, – пояснил линейный продюсер Александр Уваров. Он выглядел спокойно, ведь над трюком работали профессионалы – команда голливудского постановщика Владимира Орлова.

И вот, наконец, наступает решающий момент. Группа затаила дыхание. Каскадер выбегает наперерез несущейся машине. Раз, и он вспрыгивает на капот. От удара лобовое стекло идет трещинами. Каскадер скатывается с капота и остается лежать вниз лицом на дороге. Итог: снято с одного дубля, лобовое стекло всмятку, зато исполнитель практически невредим.

“Я капот не помял, как и говорил”, – смеясь сказал герой дня.

Calculated Power Rankings, Unit Strength, Strength of Schedule, and Estimated Final Record following week 10 of the NFL season. I use an engineering method of iteratively solving for best fit to the data (scores) to create the ranks and related applications that corrects for opponents played.

 Everything is based on correcting the scoring offense and defense of each team for opponents, by calculating the expected scoring against an average opponent, instead of averaging the points scored against the actual opponents played. This allows all teams are evaluated on a level plane. Power is defined as scoring offense minus scoring defense, the list sorted by the net difference.

I run a full season calculation, and a most recent 4 weeks calculation and blend them (4:1) to acknowledge change and teams that are hot/cold.

Power Rank:

New England retains its hold on the top spot, meaning a NE upset prediction is coming for next week in a battle of 1 vs. 2. New Orleans rises past Indy, getting back to #2, slightly behind the Pats. A NO win this week likely will propel them back to #1, a position they held much of the season. Minnesota is finally playing like a top 5 team on the scoreboard, and finally rises up to #4.

Two huge changes this week. Pit takes a big fall out of the top 10. There are two comfortable data points for them, one in the middle of the top 10, one around 16. They have waivered between both all season, almost as if they are two different teams. Incidentally it strongly corresponds to Troy and his health status. San Diego makes a strong upward jump following their blowout of the Broncos. It likely will correct down a bit, but they have been on the move upward for several weeks, similar to last season.

Overall the field is compressing, most of the positive change (via the change indicator) is near the bottom, most of the negative change is near the top. Seems that the top and bottom are correcting, the top isn’t as great as they seemed, and the bottom isn’t as horrible as they seemed. A lot of the leagues bad teams seem to be on the verge of making some real improvement. Tennessee however remains absolutely on fire.

Off = Projected offensive scoring against an average defense (PPG)
O Rk = Rank of offense
Def = Projected scoring by an average offense against the defense (PPG)
D Rk = Rank of defense
Chg = Difference between data run of most recent 4 weeks and full season (hot/cold) (PPG)
C Rk = Rank of change.

Strength of Schedule:

Instead of using points, or quality opponents, etc, the method that I chose to rank the strength of schedule is the average power rank of opponent played. The current power rank is used and each week the full season recalculated.

Seas = Average power rank of all opponents all season
Prev = Average power rank of teams played thus far
P Rk = Ranked difficulty of past schedule
Fut = Average power rank of teams yet to be played
F Rk = Ranked difficulty of future schedule.

Estimated Final Record:

I use the power rank, current record, and future opponents to estimate the final record for the team. The net scoring against an average opponent for one team is subtracted from another to determine who is favored and by how many points.

If a team is favored by 14+ points, I assumed that they win 100% of the time.
If a team is favored between 7 and 14 points, I assumed that they win 80% of the time.
If a teams is favored between 0 and 7 points, I assumed that they win 60% of the time.
If a team is not favored between 0 and 7 points, I assumed that they win 40% of the time.
If a team is not favored between 7 and 14 points, I assumed that they win 20% of the time.

Overall the division leaders remain stable. In the NFC however, Philly has moved into a tie with Dallas in the NFCE. Всем известно, что Александр Лещенко и Аня Бессонова победили в проекте “Танцюю для тебе-3″. Вот 10 интересных фактов из жизни этой пары на танцевальном шоу канала “1+1″!

1. Аня и Саша были знакомы до шоу “Танцюю для тебе”, но никогда не могли подумать, что встретятся в танцевальном проекте на паркете и будут танцевать в паре за мечту талантливого ребенка.

2. В репетиционных залах работа пары проходила ежедневно без исключений. Они работали слажено и в комфорте, по 5-10 часов в день! Аня сравнивала эти репетиции с подготовкой к Олимпийским играм. А ночные репетиции Лещенко посвящал балету, так как дневного времени не хватало.
3. Александр Лещенко:
“Я рад, что смог реализовать множество своих идей. Рад, что продюсеры проекта дали возможность воплотить мои идеи постановок в жизнь! Долгое время они теплились в моей фантазии и на шоу “Танцюю для тебе” я их осуществил. Для танцев неоднократно были построены масштабные декорации и сделаны спецэффекты, благодаря которым мы смогли передать атмосферу древнего Египта, продрогшего города с одиноким мостом и даже советского дворика, мы танцевали на паркете со снегом и дождем!”

4. Все кому не лень сплетничали и даже писали о романе Бессоновой и Лещенко, хотя это осталось только сплетнями. Они мастерски держали интригу, и оказалось, что любовь играли только на парке, а в жизни они хорошие друзья.

5. Александр Лещенко вместе с балетом “Форсайт” неоднократно представляли свои постановки на паркете. Лина Верес, директор балета “Форсайт”:
“Мы оживили легенд нашей эпохи. Каждый из танцоров преобразился в образ легендарных мировых знаменитостей. Было создано несколько специальных номеров для проекта канала “1+1″. Это шоу стало яркой ступенью в жизни нашего коллектива и в жизни хореографа нашего балет Александра Лещенко!”

6. В один из эфиров Александр получил травму глаза, и следующий эфир его выручил маленький Давид,  который станцевал вместе с Аней Бессоновой в паре за Сашу. В больнице Лещенко провел неделю: интенсивно лечил глаз, делали уколы прямо в роговицу… И в один из тихих часов в больнице танцору пришла идея одной из самых ярких постановок за все время проекта – Египетский танец, в котором восставшие из мертвых Фараон и Клеопатра в борьбе за трон крушили статуи и пирамиды.

7. В прямом эфире Наталья Могилевская изменила на паркете Яме с Лещенко. А Юрий Горбунов прокомментировал на всю страну этот факт: “Яма уже не в моде.
У нас Лещенко есть!”. Саша и Наташа за минуту успели станцевать джайв и другие бальные направления, все полной импровизацией.

8. Благодаря идее Саши Лещенко одновременно на паркете шоу появилось три Инны Цимбалюк и два Юры Горбунова. Ребята станцевали номер пародию на известных ведущих, а те в свою очередь даже поучаствовали в финале их постановки, а в гостевой комнате за кулисами пару ожидала эффектная Инна Цимбалюк в исполнении дяди Жоры.

9. Пара победителей Лещенко-Бессонова станцует на Венском балу в Австрии! А Давид, за мечту которого танцевала пара, выступит вместе со своим кумиром – гимнастом А. Залевским.

10. Впервые выбирая из трех пар, за пару победителей зрители отдали 59,5% голосов! Это рекорд для шоу и безоговорочное доказательство народного признания таланта Ани и Александра.
И уже на следующий день после финала “Танцюю для тебе-3″ Александр отправился в репетиционный зал, чтобы создавать новые номера, возможно и вместе с Аней!

Любая многосерийка – красивая неправда, в которую все мы верим. Но “Теория лжи” – это просто энциклопедия искусства не только красиво обманывать, но и самому распознавать неправду. А хотите узнать, где и как пришлось лгать его создателям? Еженедельник “Сериал” решил провести собственное расследование!

Ложь ради рейтингов

В начале прошлого телевизионного сезона телеканал FOX решился на отчаянный поступок – узнать у своих зрителей, какой из сериальных слоганов проектов канала они помнят лучше всего. Безапелляционным лидером оказалась знаменитая фраза доктора Хауса “Все лгут”. Телебоссы призадумались и решили, что ради хороших рейтингов нужно красиво соврать – то есть снять сериал, который полностью будет базироваться на искусстве лжи.

По изначальной задумке главными персонажами сериала должны были стать мошенники, которые бы из серии в серию дурили честный народ. Но ведь куда интересней научить зрителя распознавать ложь! И за дело взялся сценарист Сэмюэль Баум, который давно уже хотел экранировать книгу профессора Пола Экмана “Психология лжи”.

Ложь во имя Тима Рота

Чтобы уговорить Экмана стать прототипом главного героя, тоже пришлось соврать. Профессору Калифорнийского университета, который вот уже 30 лет занимается проблемами лжи, предложили назвать актера, который, по его мнению, справился бы с ролью его самого.

Экман назвал своего любимца – британскую звезду Тима Рота, который, по его словам, вряд ли когда-то согласился бы сниматься на телевидении. Но профессор явно не знал, насколько упрямы телебоссы – гонорар в 250 тысяч долларов за серию заставил Рота изменить своим принципам. Злые языки утверждают, что Рот согласился лишь потому, что в ближайший год никакие киношные проекты ему не светили, а сидеть без работы не хотелось. Но на самом деле актеру понравился его будущий персонаж.

“Мой герой меня просто пленил, – утверждает Тим Рот. – С каждым эпизодом он раскрывается все больше и больше, я до сих пор не выучил его до конца. Этот невыносимый лжец сам по себе является актером! Играть его весьма нелегко, но очень занимательно!”

Ложь ради зрителей

Сериал появился на экранах в январе этого года, как замена неудачным продуктам сезона 2008-2009, но умелая рекламная кампания сделала свое дело. Авторы использовали уже раскрученного Хауса. Практически все постеры и рекламные ролики “Теории лжи” были одновременно рекламными роликами “Доктора Хауса” и строились на противопоставлении слогана первой многосерийки названия второй: “Все лгут” и “Солги мне” (оригинальное название сериала – “Lie to Me”).

Более того, даже главные персонажи Хаус и Лайтман весьма похожи – примерно одного возраста, слегка небриты и потрепанны, циничны и саркастичны, уважают только свое мнение, умеют чертовски красиво врать. Некоторые зрители, как выяснилось потом, даже думали, что “Теория лжи” – ответвление “Хауса”, а доктор Лайтманн появится в больнице Принстон-Плейнсборо в качестве консультанта или же даже пациента.

“Лживая” схема телеканала сработала – рейтинги первой серии “Теории лжи” стали самыми высокими среди новинок января, что обеспечило показ не только первых 13 серий сериала, но и его продление на второй сезон! А вот это уже правда!

1. Дебютная серия вышла в эфир 21 января 2009 года.

Dolphins-24, Panthers-17: Dolphins were without starting RB & wildcat King Ronnie Brown Thursday night. Ricky Williams took the load and carried the phins to victory with 2 rushing td’s and 1 rec. TD. Panther clawed back into the game with WR Steve smith going for 80 rec. yds and a TD. Delhomme was sacked a season-high four times, twice by Dolphins LB Joey Porter. Delhomme, who threw the ball 42 times, is now 0-5 when he has 30-plus pass attempts this season, and 4-1 when he has 25 or fewer pass attempts. This was a game for the panthers to show their turnaround, but sad to say i think that game kicked them out of contention. Good game Sparano.

Colts-17, Ravens-15: These two were once one franchise until the expansion for the ravens.  Truth be told about this game the ravens Defense was looking confused and tired against peyton manning giving up a 1 handed grab by TE Dallas Clark for  a TD and Giving up a career high 108 rec yds to WR Pierre Garcon. LB Gary Brackett intercepted Joe Flacco deep in Colts territory, halting a nine-play Ravens drive. The Ravens had one last chance, but a lateral attempt by Ed Reed on a punt return was ruled a fumble and recovered by Indianapolis, which again they skate by unbeaten at 10-0

Cowboys-7, Redskins-6: Sheesh! if u like defensive battles then this was your game for sure. Redskins K Shaun Suisham connected on two FG’s to give the skins theri score but missed 2 key FG’s. The Redskins were able to control Tony Romo for most of the game, but when it mattered most, the quarterback came through. He completed 7-of-8 passes for 60 yards on the winning drive and kept several plays alive by eluding Washington’s pass rushers and connecting with WR Patrick Crayton for the TD.

Lions-38, Browns-37: “battle of the bads” is what this was. Both young QB’s held their own for their teams by combining for 700 yds passing and 9 TD’s. Of course there was no defense, what did u expect? After a timemout, Stafford shook off a left shoulder injury, suffered on the game’s second-to-last play, to throw the deciding touchdown pass in obvious pain. It was Stafford’s fifth touchdown pass of the game. He finished with 422 yards and two interceptions. That boy got some heart coming in and throwing the game winner on an injury.. Good job Detroit

Packers-30, 49ers-24: Coming of a great win over he cowboys, the pack was looking to show some strength in the numbers against a fighting 9ers squad. The Packers ran out the final 5:56 of the game, thwarting a 49ers rally. Green Bay looked like it were in cruise control, holding a 23-3 halftime lead. But the 49ers scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to close the gap to 30-24. The Packers took over and never relinquished the ball. way to hold onto a win. The pack is still alive

Jaguars-18, Bills-15: The 1st game sice head coach Dick Jauron being fired from the bills showed some hot spots. WR Terell Owens was “unleashed” for 197 rec yds and TD………………..But wasn’t good enough to get the win. The Jags were not gonan let an important victory slip away. The Jaguars completed a 12-play, 68-yard drive with a 3-yard touchdown pass to WR Mike Sims-Walker. A two-point conversion on a quarterback keeper by David Garrard gave Jacksonville a 3-point lead with 1:02 remaining. The Bills last-minute attempt to get into field goal range ended with a Ryan Fitzpatrick interception. All is well if T.O catches the ball even without the win.

Chiefs-27, Steelers-24: The Super Bowl champs have ben struggling to find out their true identity this yr without Defensive Captain Superstar Troy Polamalu to rally the troops. QB Ben Roethlisberger threw for 398 yds, 3td’s, and 2 picks in a shocking loss. Those turnovers would haunt the steelers late in the game. Kickoff return By RB Jamaal Charles gave the Steelers flashbacks of the previous week in Cincy. Chiefs rookie kicker Ryan Succop hit a 22-yard field goal in overtime for the victory. Kansas City had trailed by 10 points at halftime, but rallied to send the game into overtime and eventually get the win. Still in all, The Steelers are the champs until further notice so they get a pass.

Vikings-35,  Seahawks-9: The Seahwaks didnt belong on the same field as Peterson and the Purple men on sunday. They flat out got smoked in every aspect of the game. The Vikings held the Seahawks to only 4 rushing yards on 12 carries which is ridiculous. The Vikings pulled starting quarterback Brett Favre at the start of the fourth quarter, holding a comfortable 28-3 lead. Favre also set a single game record for the Vikings and got different receivers on all 4 Td’s…MVP??

Giants-34, Falcons-31: Exactly 42 days since the Giants last win, Eli and the boys took a whole different approach in East Rutherford on Sunday. It was win or die, no more living off reputation. The Giants Run game was sluggish as its been all season with RB Brandon Jacobs Looking for his 1st 100 yd game. With the weight of the world on his shoulders, Eli Manning took to the sky for a career high 398 yds passing and 3 td’s.  Falcons tied the game in the last 30 sec. of play with a TD pass to TE Tony Gonzalez. OVERTIME!!!! The Giants won the coin toss in overtime and drove 49 yards in seven plays to set up Lawrence Tynes’ 36-yard field goal. This has to be a relief for the G-men… they’re still alive.

Saints-38, Buccaneers-7: with the game tied 7-7, it looked as if the Bucs would put up a fight…. that’s until………….Tight end David Thomas scored on an 11-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees on the Saints’ opening possession of the second half to put New Orleans up 24-7. The Bucs fumbled the ball away to start the second half, and the Saints immediately responded with Thomas’ TD to put the game out of reach. The Saints are still marching and unbeaten.

Cardinals-21, Rams-13: Division rivalries were jam-packed in schedules back to back this season to generate excitement…. this game came down to the last play. Rams QB Marc Bulger fumbled for the second time in the game. With 28 seconds left and the Rams trailing 21-13, DE Calais Campbell knocked the ball out of Bulger’s hands on fourth-and-17 from the Rams 19-yard line and the Cardinals recovered. The Cardinals still lead the division.

Chargers-32, Broncos-3: The Rolling Chargers were looking to extend their current winning streak to 5 in a row and take the division from a tie to owning it on Sunday in the division bang-out. Boy did they ever. The Broncos were unsuccessful in their four red-zone chances and three of their six second-half drives ended when they couldn’t convert on fourth down. The Chargers still have some juice in the tank.. They are playing dirtier than ever right now.

Patriots-31, Jets-17: Being down 21-0 early in the game, Jets QB Mark Sanchez was looking the running rookie making mistake after mistake after throwing 3 picks to Pats CB Leigh Boden. Patriots RB Laurence Maroney scored his second touchdown of the day, a 1-yard run. Stephen Gostkowski’s extra point gave New England a 31-14 lead with 5:06 remaining. The Pats are the div. leaders and show no signs of slowing down.

Raiders-20, Broncos-17: More division clashes as The Raiders benched Jamarcus Russell and it might have been the best thing to do all along. QB Bruce Gradkowski came in and led the raiders to a sure fire win against a rolling Cincy Bengals Team in search of showing the world there the real deal.. they failed. Gradkowski was far from perfect, but his two-minute drive to tie the game was clinical. He managed the clock well, completed a critical fourth-and-10 pass for 16 yards to keep the drive alive, and then found the right match-up with backup rookie cornerback Morgan Trent covering Murphy on the tying score. The Bengals are still the Bengals ladies and gentlemen.

Eagles-24, Bears-20: this time of the year the Eagles become the Gridiron bullies. They showed the Bears that on Sunday but with a little help From none other then Bears QB Jay cutler. Jay Cutler threw his only interception of the game. With the Bears trailing 24-20, Sean Jones picked off a deflected pass from Cutler at the 50-yard line with 52 seconds remaining. He seems to blow it all the time now. Eagles WR DeSean Jackson had eight receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown. His 48-yard TD grab in the third quarter was his first score (he had six total TDs coming into the game) of less than 50 yards this season. Jackson also had a 10-yard run and was on punt-return duty. Eagles are in the lead fro the wild card race with a lot of football still to be played.

Titans-20, Texans-17: Ridin high off a three game winning streak with Vince Young as starter, the Titans look to extend that streak in Monday Night’s Division Rivalry. VY took the stage and used his legs and his arm for 150 yds and a TD along with RB Chris Johnson rushing for 150 yds(5th str8 game with 120+). DAMN! Texans QB Matt Schaub Drove down the field with 50 seconds left in the game. In field goal range Texans K Kris Brown missed the fg that would have sent the game into overtime.

Валерий Харчишин вновь рискнул своим здоровьем и начал репетировать в танц-зале новую постановку с Софией Новиковой, не жалея ног и коленей. И подарил своей “мечтательнице” Кате Трачук новую “взрослую” бандуру.

Будущая мама Анастасия Приходько не решилась на активный танец, но подарила зрителям песню “Любила” с участием своего партнера Кирилла Радостева и балета Александра Лещенко. Певицу за сценой сопровождал сонм помощников, которые аккуратно доводили ее до сцены и тут же подхватывали под руки, когда Настя в белом платье и с аккуратным маленьким животиком спускалась за кулисы. Как она и обещала, вместе с Константином Меладзе, певица подарила Рите Кирсановой скрипку известного чешского мастера.

Лидия Таран очень переживала за свой новый номер – постановку под песню “Ветер перемен” из кинофильма “Мэри Поппинс, до свиданья”, где участвовали все дети-”мечтатели”. И огромной неожиданностью для ее девочки Виктории Вечирко стало то, что губернатор Херсонской области лично приехал, чтобы сказать о решении местного облсовета о выделении 260 тысяч гривен на ремонт и оборудование станции юных техников в селе Преображенское. Собственно, в этом и состояла мечта Вики.

Впервые за весь сезон на эфире “Танцую для тебя” появилась Ирина Билык. Как заметил Дмитрий Дикусар – обычно у нее в субботу всегда были какие-то выступления, концерты, поэтому она никак не могла прийти поболеть за него прямо в студию. Но зато, как правило, следила за проектом по телевизору у себя в гримерке и присылала ему смс, которые очень способствовали хорошему настроению.

Es ist schon wieder vorbei, das geht immer viel zu schnell. Das YOUKI – das internationale Jugend Medien Festival – ist letzte Woche von 17. bis 21. November in Wels passiert, und wer nicht dort war, hat wieder mächtig was verpasst.

Unter komplett neuer Führung, heuer mit Peter Schernhuber als Chef überhaupt, wurde das Festival jünger, internationaler und sowieso über-drüber. Heuer hatte ich auch das erste Mal das Gefühl, dass das Internet während des Festivals selbst nicht ignoriert wurde, es gab also einen YouTube-Channel, einen Flickr-Stream und einen Festival-Blog. Die letzten beiden liefen über die Leute von subtext, die das recht fleißig betrieben. Nur der Flickr-Stream starb irgendwie nach dem ersten Tag, weil man keinen bezahlten Account hatte…

Gestartet wurde mit der Eröffnung am Dienstag Abend im MKH. Mit dem genialen Film 12 Explosionen von Johann Lurf wurde begonnen, und nach den obligatorischen Reden wurden noch zwei Ehrungen der Stadt Wels für zwei ehemalige Mitarbeiterinnen des Youki-Festivals vergeben, die Sponsoren (recht spaßig heuer) vorgestellt und dann noch mit den Filmen Höhenrausch von Siegfried A Frühauf und Foodfilm von Viktoria Schmid. Foodfilm war ein Film, der nur aus Fotogrammen bestand und so die Aneinanderreihung der Zutaten für Buchstabensuppe, Gulasch, Kaiserschmarren und Kaffee war. Und eben das Kochte der Shorty (“Herr Short, so viel Zeit muss sein!”) dann auch, während auch live-Visuals davon gemacht wurden. Aber ich habe vergessen, von wem. System Jacqeline vielleicht? Von denen ist jedenfalls auch der ziemlich feine heurige Festival-Trailer.

Eine der offiziellen Festival-Paparazza von System Jaqueline, und diese Dame hat auch mein Lieblingsfoto von dieser YOUKI geschossen.

Am Mittwoch startete dann das richtige Festivalprogramm, mitsamt den Wettbewerbsfilmen und dem anderen Programm, das heuer aus einer FM4-Filmreihe “Alternative Approach To Youth Culture”, aus den Film-Sofas, Media Meeting, und natürlich Parties bestand. Irgendwie hab ichs aber geschafft, jedes Filmsofa zu verpassen…

Der hier heißt Alexis Dos Santos, und ist ein ganz ein Lieber. Der argentinische Jungregisseur hielt heuer den Regie-Workshop, gewann mit seinem Film Unmade Beds 2009 völlig zu Recht den Crossing Europe-Publikumspreis und zeigte diesen und Glue heuer auf der Youki, noch Monate vor der regulären Veröffentlichung in Österreich. Unmade Beds kommt im Sommer in unsere Kinos und den sollte echt jeder sehen…

Am Donnerstag beschallte B Fleischmann mit Marilies Jagsch und Sweet Williams van Ghost den alten Schl8hof und sorgte damit bei den Youki-Besuchern für melancholische Träume. Das Trio könnt ihr so, nur mit weniger Gitarren, hier sehen.

Danach war natürlich noch längere Party im Schl8hof, es gab ja aucg genug Leute kennenzulernen. Den Freitag mit dem tollen Kleinstadtkonzert musste ich leider, leider sausen lassen.

Am Samstag war es dann soweit. Die Youki-Gala, der fulminante Abschluss und die Preisverleihung dieses Festivals, war da!

Den heurigen Sackerl-Award bekam Makka. Naja…

Den Special Award gewann, für mich berechtigt, doch nachher heiß diskutiert, der Schweizer Augustin Rebetez mit seiner Post-Party-Dokumentation Carnaval, in der er mit emotionsgeladenen Schwarz-Weiß-Aufnahmen die beinahe melancholische Stimmung nach einer Party einfing. Scheinbar war es nur ein Teil einer zehnteiligen Serie, die ich irgendwann einmal gerne ganz sehen würde…

Die vier Würdigungspreise gingen an Bolzplatz von Lucas Drobek, The Third World War von Simon Sommer und Jakob Grasböck, an King Harry von der Wiener Gruppe „Freitagsrunde“ und an Asmus von Moritz Walter.

Gewonnen hat, noch viel umstrittener und heißer diskutiert, Railrunner von Fabian Uitz, der nur mit der Handy-Kamera gedreht wurde und mit zwei Fingern, die am Zugfenster “auf” den Gleisen dahinschlittern, die Musik- und Actionfilmgeschichte aufs Korn nimmt. Hier wurde vor allem die Idee ausgezeichnet, was allerdings auch zu Recht in Frage gestellt wurde. Mir persönlich gefiel die Idee, auch wenn mein persönlicher Favorit 21221 von Sebastian Kientl war, der allerdings gar nicht ausgezeichnet wurde, genauso wie mein Platz 2, Pastforward von Xenia Bluhm und Martin Kucera.

Die Youki-Kantine hat den ganzen Betrieb immer mit Essen und Trinken versorgt, und das sogar ziemlich vorzüglich. Für die Gala bereiteten sie eine Landkarte aus belegten Broten vor, das sich sowohl sehen als auch mit Genuss essen lies.

Zum Abschluss gabs noch Party mit DJ Robert Buchschwenter, der schon letztes Jahr recht tanzbar war, und heuer ziemlich aufdrehte.

Als Abschluss bleibts mir eigentlich nur zu sagen, dass ab Februar die Filme für Youki 11 eingereicht werden können, und ich noch auf die Bilder aus meiner Lomo gespannt bin.

“Para! Para de gritar!”

Os dois meninos agarraram o de óculos, que continuava gritando e agora se debatia com uma força / que acabara de despertar / numa noite escura e barulhenta. “Shhhhhhhhhhh”. Mas já era tarde. Não só os zumbis que estavam próximos à casa – agora outros chegavam, do condomínio inteiro, talvez de toda a cidade. A passos lentos e certeiros, esquálidos, eles cercavam a casa com suas gargantas selvagens e famintas: cem, duzentos. E vinham outros.

“Caralho, mano! Caralho! Olha o que você fez, véio! Seu filhodaputa, seu corno.” O menino andava de um lado para o outro, olhando hora pela janela do sótão, hora para o de óculos, franzino, que ofegava de olhos arregalados, ódio, seguro entre os braços do chefe. Sentindo que ele não mais fazia força tentando escapar, o chefe solta-o e se dirige à janela, onde avista o Inferno.

“Caralho, mano! Putaqueopariu! E agora, cara?!”

O chefe fechou os olhos para pensar. Os zumbis teriam força para arrombar as portas, derrubar as paredes, subir as escadas e devorá-los? Enquanto pensava nisso, uma lufada de ar lhe atingiu o rosto e seu corpo gelou ao ouvir a voz do outro menino gritando fraca, fina e rouca

“Goiaba!”

Goiaba era o apelido do de óculos. Seu nome era Mateus. Ele tinha doze anos e era o dono da casa. Foi ele que, numa tarde de terça-feira, chamou os amigos da escola para jogar o videogame que tinha ganhado de aniversário uma semana antes. E agora Goiaba estava caído no jardim de sua casa, provavelmente com as pernas quebradas, urrando de dor ao sentir os dentes ferinos dos mortos rasgando-lhe a pele, mastigando seus olhos, espalhando seus intestinos pelos ossos expostos dos malditos.

No sótão, os dois meninos recuavam passo a passo. Nenhum deles sentia o chão sob os pés. É como se estivessem no azul de ar do céu, suspensos por anjos, e seus pés se agitassem na liberdade do voo. Até encostarem na parede, agacharem-se no canto e, simultaneamente chorando e não chorando, abraçarem a desgraça, a desgraça, a desgraça.

Früher hätte ich meine folgenden Fragen in (irgendeinem) Forum gepostet, heute wo ich twittere und blogge kommts eben hier rein.

Ich habe zwar diesen Blog hier bei WordPress.com, möchte aber einen “eigenen”. Also mit eigener Domain, eigenem Design und wo ich evtl. auch ein wenig Werbung platzieren kann. Grade das Thema Werbung steht dabei aber nicht im Vordergrund!

Wie ich eine Domain erwerbe weiss ich bereits aus eigener Erfahrung, ich hatte auch hin und wieder mal eine kleine Homepage, so das ich einige Webspace-Anbieter kenne. Nun suche ich aber ja quasi einen Anbieter, der sowas wie einen Blog-Baukasten anbietet. 1 & 1 bietet sowas scheinbar an, allerdings sind die meisten damit wohl nicht zufrieden, wenn man diversen Beiträgen im Internet glauben darf.

Und, verstehe ich das richtig das ich mir eine Domain sichern kann und dann darauf WordPress aufsetze? Wenn ja, wie?

Da ich ja grade bei Twitter einigen Bloggern folge, hoffe ich mal auf eure Hilfe! Gerne als Kommentar hier im Blog oder bei Twitter.
