But then you probably haven’t heard this. Even I was surprised when I heard this. Because it is SO different from what you would normally expect. Serj Tankian’s vocals stay the same mind, but this is oddly beautiful and somehow works.

Unexpected spanish guitar solos and even more unexpected violins slowly build up until at the end, there is virtually a string symphony taking the place of what would normally be still something amazing, but more something you would kill to.
But this is a positive thing. Too often now, bands come with an album of the same song and sell millions. And this isn’t right. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it forever. Variation is good. In fact there is nothing negative about variation. It keeps people excited, prevents boredom, makes sense. Without variation things die. Without variation people rebel. Without variation, I will go back into my eastern european industrial rock phase. That is not a good thing.
Slightly ironically, to explain this I am repeatedly using the word variation, but you understand where I’m coming from.

The Field Sparrow nests mainly in the southern part of Québec and in the Maritimes. Absent during the winter, it goes to join up with its own kind in the eastern United States, or down to the southern part of the country, where it will again find the tranquility of bushes hedging fields, clumps of young pines, and clear and bushy fields and woods. An insect-eater during the nesting period, it feeds on seeds during the other seasons. Its length is 13 to 15 cm.

Le bruant des champs niche surtout dans le sud du Québec et dans les Maritimes. Absent en hiver, il va rejoindre ses comparses dans l’est des États-Unis ou il descend dans le sud du pays, là où il peut retrouver la quiétude des arbustes en bordure des champs, les jeunes plantations de pins ainsi que les champs et les bois clairs et broussailleux. Insectivore durant la période de nidification, il se nourrit de graines en d’autres saisons. Il mesure entre 13 et 15 cm de longueur.

La paruline des pins, tel que son nom l’indique, niche exclusivement dans les pinèdes et dans les forêts qui contiennent de grands pins. Bien qu’on la retrouve dans l’est des États-Unis, on peut la rencontrer au sud du Québec et au sud-ouest du Nouveau-Brunswick. Insectivore en saison estivale, elle s’alimente de graines variées et de petits fruits en hiver. Gourmande, elle s’arrête parfois aux mangeoires que lui offre l’humain. La paruline des pins a une longueur de 13 à 15 cm.

Nothern Goshawk

The Northern Goshawk is a raptor who lives all year round in all Canadian regions and can be seen in Alaska as well as the northern United States. It mainly attacks birds, including ducks, and mammals. Preferring large mixed and conifer forests, in Québec it nests mainly in mature leafy forests and in plantings of birch and poplar trees. Its length is 51 to 66 cm and its wingspan reaches 102 to 117 cm.

Cooper’s Hawk

A vulnerable species in Quebec, Cooper’s Hawk builds its nests from the Outaouais to the Beauce region and will sometimes spend the winter in the southernmost part of Quebec where it settles in mixed forest areas. It is a bird of prey and its diet is made up essentially of sparrows and occasionally some larger species, up to the size of chickens. It also feeds on small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects. Its length ranges from 35 to 51 cm and its wingspan is 74 to 94 cm.

Espèce vulnérable au Québec, l’épervier de Cooper niche de l’Outaouais à la Beauce et passe parfois l’hiver dans l’extrême sud du Québec, où il fait des forêts mixtes son repaire. Oiseau rapace, son régime alimentaire se compose essentiellement d’oiseaux passereaux et, occasionnellement, d’espèces plus grosses, allant jusqu’à la taille d’un poulet. Il se nourrit aussi de petits mammifères, de reptiles, d’amphibiens et d’insectes. La longueur est de 35 à 51 cm tandis que son envergure varie de 74 à 94 cm.

Now, you can check the status of a suburban train service with a phone call. The Central Railway (CR) has tied up with the Indian Rail Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to start a control room that would give necessary information on the suburban trains to commuters.

“Commuters can now dial 139 and check the status of suburban trains running on the Central Railway. It has specially been designed for the monsoon so that commuters can know the status of the trains and plan their journey accordingly,” said Shriniwas Mudgerikar, chief spokesperson, CR. “This is a pilot project and it would be continued till the end of September. Thereafter, we will review the project and take a decision accordingly,” Mudgerikar said.

The 139-helpline service, which is managed by the IRCTC, was used for checking the PNR status, arrival and departure of long distance trains until now. This would be the first time that this helpline service would be used for checking info on suburban train services.

The service, to be introduced initially in trains to and from the metros, can be availed through the toll-free number of 139, with passengers being given the option to choose from a menu ranging from Indian to Chinese and Continental.

“In an attempt to minimise complaints from the passengers, the IRCTC has submitted this unique proposal to the Railway board. Once this is implemented, it is expected to bring a revolutionary change in catering services on trains across the country,” said Group General Manager (Catering), North Zone, Aneet Dulat.

Taking a cue from her predecessor, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken all possible measures to appease the taste buds of a diverse population. She has not only customised menus by adding the popular local delicacies, including machher-jhol and sandesh for passengers travelling to West Bengal, dhokla and khaman on Mumbai trains, and avial for Southern trains, but also given a wider variety for the passengers to choose from. The new menu, with added options, has come into effect from the first week of June.

These are just a couple of highlights of the latest Fairy Tail chapter. If you haven’t read it yet do not read it as it contains spoilers!

- Hibiki of Blue Pegasus helps out Natsu by uploading a map into Natsu’s head to lead him to their location so Wendy can heal Erza. (yes, literally uploading. see picture below)
- Hibiki explains what his power is and explains why Lucy hasn’t heard of it is because it’s a relatively new one.
- Gray fights Racer who starts the “Dead Grand Prix”, summoning a horde of magical motorcycles.
- Racer’s magic appears to be “race” and “speed” related, consisting mostly of motorcycles and tires so far.
- Gray figures out you can actually ride the summoned cycles even containing SE plugs and thus jumps on one and chases Racer.
- The fight continues until they encounter Leon who Gray tells to jump on his motorcycle and help him.
- Leon demonstrates some awesome ice technique destroying Racer’s bike and Racer decides play time is over.
- Gray and Leon try to fight Racer who appears to be too fast for them, then Leon suggests they should be able to fight him if they concentrate and they thus throw off their clothes, confusing Racer and the girl who was with Leon.
- Racer speeds up even more, dodging Gray and Leon’s technique and then Leon says he’s discovered Racer’s weakness and the chapter ends.

Personal Opinion:
The chapter was off to a good funny start in true Fairy Tail tradition with Hibiki uploading a map to Natsu’s brain (see picture above). Some of the techniques displayed in this chapter were truly amazing and others were simply disappointing to a certain degree. As if the author was low on inspiration on that particular character. The speed theme for Racer was good but the throwing tires and motorcycle business was just a little bit too lame if you ask me. it could’ve been better..
I have to say though, Hibiki’s abilities are one of the coolest abilities I’ve seen so far, aside the ice users ( I find myself being always biased towards water and ice users for some reason ).

LUCKNOW: Hung up on the line to enquire about your PNR status? Do not crib. 139 has an SMS-way out. The call centre service of railways that came into existence about two years back has become a little more friendlier.

Sources in Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) confirmed that sms service on 139 has become functional. Currently, it can be used only for enquiry of PNR status of passenger’s ticket.

Write — PNR (give space)(type PNR number) — and SMS to 139. The message will be delivered within no time. Since it is not a toll free service you might have to pay Rs 3 per SMS. “The service has just been started,” said sources.

The plan to transfer array of services provided by IRCTC on mobile phones through wide network of service providers had been in the offing since long. This time around, sms can be sent from any of the service providers except two. And most probably, it is BSNL and Reliance that are not providing the facility to its users.

The all Indian enquiry 139 already provides information about PNR status, arrival/departure of trains, seat availability and fare/accommodation when passengers call on it. For further queries, passenger can press a star and talk to the customer care executive as well.

Though BSNL, MTNL, Vodafone and Airtel users can connect to this number for information, sources added that sms service might not be available on all of them. Just as calling up on 139 is not free of cost service similarly sms service is also not a toll-free one.

Passengers can use it to confirm the PNR status after the information has been fed into the reservation chart which is usually an hour before the train departure. Since the service is a new one it might make passengers face some initial hiccups like time taken in providing PNR information.

On the other hand, Lucknowites will have to wait for booking a taxi through 139. Lucknow station was supposed to be one of the several stations where IRCTC was said to extend this service soon. However, regional office does not have any information on that.

“I am not aware of any such thing planned for Lucknow,” said K M Tripathi, chief regional manager, IRCTC, Lucknow. On the sms service, he agreed there was a plan to start the service soon.

In questo momento non mi ricordo quale sia l’ultima pubblicità massacrante della 3, compagnia telefonica operante in Italia. Ma in ogni caso non fidatevi.

Sto per raccontare un’odissea allucinante che oggi ha avuto un epilogo a dir poco vergognoso.

La mia azienda sottoscriveva nel maggio 2006 un contratto per una rete di telefonia aziendale con 3, o meglio, con la società H3G.

Tale contratto, spiegatoci ampiamente prima dal commerciale e poi direttamente dall’assistenza clientela che risponde al 139, ci vincolava a due anni di servizio, l’H3G ci forniva di nr. 6 videotelefonini, per i quali avremmo pagato un canone di noleggio e un canone mensile che garantiva un minimo di telefonate comprese.

Al termine di questi due anni, avremmo potuto domandare ad H3G di cambiare i terminali chiedendone di nuovi, continuando a pagare un noleggio ma avendo sempre i telefoni nuovi. Considerando che circa l’80% del nostro lavoro si svolge telefonicamente, questa ci è sembrata la soluzione migliore e più adeguata, oltre ovviamente ai vantaggi tariffari per la rete aziendale.

In aggiunta a questo, c’era una sorta di assicurazione kasko, ovviamente pagata con un canone maggiorato, che garantiva la sostituzione dei terminali in caso di guasto in 24 ore.

I due anni sono trascorsi più o meno senza grandi problemi, eccezion fatta per un inizio traballante sull’affidabilità dei telefonini e per problemi di linea abbastanza frequenti.

Ciò nonostante, da parte nostra MAI un ritardo di pagamento o richieste impossibili.

I problemi hanno iniziato a sorgere a contratto scaduto: è apparso immediatamente chiaro che cambiare i telefonini sarebbe stata un’impresa titanica.

Finalmente, dopo quattro mesi di richieste, il numero assistenza clienti 139 ci informava che erano pronti sul portale di 3 i moduli per la richiesta della sostituzione dei terminali, spiegandoci che avremmo dovuto limitarci ad inserirvi i numeri imei dei telefonini da cambiare con relativi numeri sim.

Il primo fax di richiesta di sostituzione è stato inviato il 31 ottobre 2008.

A seguito dell’invio, mi premuravo di ricontattare il 139, chiedendo i tempi tecnici di consegna dei telefoni: la consegna sarebbe avvenuta entro 7 giorni lavorativi dalla richiesta, quindi entro i primi quindici giorni di novembre.

Soddisfatti per la risposta, non ci siamo più preoccupati, perchè finalmente sembrava tutto a posto, per di più in tempi limite, dal momento che i telefonini in nostro possesso erano diventati davvero difficili da utilizzare, non tenevano più la carica, erano davvero arrivati alla frutta per così dire.

I giorni sono passati, ma non è arrivata nessuna consegna.

Così, intorno al 20 novembre 2008, abbiamo iniziato a chiamare il 139 per avere notizie sulla spedizione: il servizio clientela ci ha ripetuto per giorni che i telefonini erano in transito da Milano, quindi in brevissimo tempo sarebbero stati da noi, appena fuori Varese.

E invece i giorni sono passati, peggio, I MESI SONO PASSATI.

Centinaia di telefonate fatte al 139, decine di fax inviati al numero verde per i reclami: NESSUNA RISPOSTA.

Nessuno sa dirci il perchè di questa situazione: chi risponde al call center dice prima che i telefoni sono stati persi dal corriere, poi dal magazzino, poi dal produttore, poi che ci sono ritardi perchè sono mancati gli approvvigionamenti… insomma, una montagna di chiacchere, nessuna risposta esplicativa e concreta, neppure alle missive scritte.

Arriviamo a fine febbraio, e ancora niente. DA OTTOBRE A FEBBRAIO, QUATTRO MESI.

Nel frattempo siamo stati costretti ad acquistare nuove batterie per i telefoni vecchi, per i quali H3G continua a farci pagare il noleggio, nuovi caricabatterie, e per un caso abbiamo dovuto acquistare anche un telefono perchè quello in nostro possesso per il quale pagavamo il canone non era più funzionante, ma la società telefonica non provvedeva alla sua sostituzione in quanto “era in corso” la nuova fornitura. Pertanto, per non avere ulteriori danni a livello professionale, non abbiamo trovato altra soluzione che procedere ad un nuovo acquisto.

Il call center della 3, trascorsi questi termini INCRESCIOSI, a fronte della nostra ennesima telefonata, ci risponde: mah, forse nel frattempo sono cambiate le offerte e le disponibilità di telefonini, inviate di nuovo il modulo. Ubbidiamo. Niente cambia.

Arriviamo a marzo 2009: dopo non so quante telefonate e lettere pesantissime, ventilanti non da ultimo una richiesta di risarcimento danni, finalmente vengono consegnati 4 dei 6 telefoni (corrispondenti alla richiesta di ottobre non a quella di febbraio), ma sui restanti ancora non è dato sapere nulla.

Pertanto, trascorsa nuovamente una settimana, decidiamo di inviare un ultimo fax, dando tempo altri 8 giorni dal ricevimento per avere la consegna di quanto richiesto; in mancanza di adempimento, ci saremmo ritenuti sollevati da ogni obbligo nei confronti di H3G per manifesta inadempienza contrattuale e ci saremmo riservati la facoltà di adire le vie legali per la richiesta di risarcimento danni.

Abbiamo lasciato trascorrere non 8 giorni, ma esattamente il doppio: da H3G nessuna risposta. Ultima telefonata al call center: veniamo nuovamente rimbalzati, persino in modo scortese.

La misura è colma.

Contattiamo un rappresentante di Vodafone e chiediamo la portabilità dei numeri, non prima di esserci assicurati che H3G non avrebbe potuto addebitarci alcuna penale in quanto il contratto non era ancora adempiuto, dopo oltre 5 mesi.

“Casualmente”, ricevuta la richiesta di portabilità, H3G si fa viva e chiama, dicendo che volevano dare seguito ai nostri reclami: la telefonata è parsa assolutamente una presa in giro, quindi noi abbiamo rinnovato la nostra intenzione.

Credevamo fosse finita lì, e avremmo anche soprasseduto su richieste di rimborsi o quant’altro.

Se non che oggi ci arriva l’ultima fattura di H3G, CHE PRESENTA UN ADDEBITO DI 2.400 EURO PIU’ IVA COME PENALE PER RECESSO ANTICIPATO.

Chiamo immediatamente il 139.

Si, perchè dovete sapere che per i clienti non esiste altro modo di contattare la società H3G: o si chiama il 139, dove per il 90% si trovano persone messe lì per non rispondere a reclami e per prendere tempo, oppure si invia un fax ad un numero verde, che evidentemente viene cestinato: io ne ho mandati almeno una dozzina in cinque mesi, non sono mai stata degnata di risposta.

Chiamo il call center quindi, incazzata a dir poco. E mi sento dire una cosa che mi fa incazzare ancora di più:

- DAL 31 OTTOBRE 2008, DATA DI PRIMA RICHIESTA, PER H3G NOI RISULTIAMO VINCOLATI PER ALTRI 24 MESI, poco importa se l’oggetto del contratto, ovvero la fornitura di videotelefonini, non ha avuto luogo.
Pertanto H3G ci applica la penale.

Facendo il sunto:

- H3G è chiaramente inadempiente, non avendo provveduto alla consegna dell’oggetto del contratto se non parzialmente e dopo mesi di ritardo, eppure pretende il pagamento di una penale
- H3G dimostra di non aver inserito alcun nuovo contratto, perchè fino all’ultima fattura ha indicato gli stessi canoni sia di noleggio che di abbonamento, mentre il passaggio secondo loro sarebbe da noleggio a comodato gratuito
- H3G non da possibilità ai propri clienti di contestare alcunchè, tanto è vero che nel corso dell’ultima chiamata al call center, dopo aver prospettato l’ipotesi di una citazione per danni, l’addetto mi ha risposto che avremmo comunque dovuta farla o verbalmente al 139 oppure via fax al numero verde, ditemi voi se è serietà questa
- H3G si guarda bene dallo spiegare che la richiesta di sostituzione dei terminali in realtà è un nuovo contratto che vincola il cliente ad altri 24 mesi. Infatti, a domanda esplicita, gli operatori hanno puntualmente negato il tutto.
- A specifica richiesta di nota di credito per l’importo addebitato di 2.400 euro, H3G nella figura degli operatori del suo call center risponde che loro non compiono mai errori di fatturazione, pertanto quanto richiesto deve essere pagato.

Potrei continuare.
La rabbia è davvero tanta, troppa.

Io scriverò alle Authority competenti, alle associazioni dei consumatori, a Striscia, Mi Manda Rai 3, a chiunque e ovunque, perchè questa è una vergogna che non deve succedere a nessun altro. E se c’è qualcuno che mi può aiutare riportando questa storia, ringrazio in anticipo.

E non è solo una questione di principio: 2.400 euro non mi sembrano una bazzecola.

Un consiglio: se potete, STATE LONTANI DA 3!

§ 2º – Para os fins previstos neste artigo, o empregador comunicará ao órgão local do Ministério do Trabalho, com a antecedência mínima de 15 (quinze) dias, as datas de início e fim das férias, precisando quais os estabelecimentos ou setores abrangidos pela medida. Appropriating business-speak, I could be the depressive complement to my exemplary beloved. Indeed, the re-creation of a conceptual experiment cannot be experimental, only cynical.

Most people thought the heel displayed on the plinth was the work. This was not my idea, and grudgingly approved. Ultimately, I accepted the heel, like Weiner’s wall texts, as a last remains of the act.

I was perhaps most pleased that a number of people saw neither the heel on the plinth nor the shoe on my foot and asked, “Jennifer, where is your work?” I didn’t tell them; perhaps they never found it.
