Hibbing man said he was wrongly forbidden from preaching in park.

DULUTH – A fight over street preaching at the annual light display in the city’s Bayfront Festival Park spilled into federal court here Monday, with the city of Duluth stuck squarely in the middle.

Peter Scott, a lay preacher from Hibbing, claimed in a recent federal lawsuit that he was forbidden from preaching to passersby during last year’s Bentleyville “Tour of Lights,” which features a massive Christmas tree, Santa Clauses, reindeers, penguins and other holiday sculptures illuminated with more than 3 million lights. Some event organizers told him that “people don’t want to hear religious crap” during the event, his suit said.

Steve Jankowski, a Duluth minister and associate of Scott’s, claimed that he was warned by the city that he could be arrested for trespassing if he resists a request by event organizers to leave. He and Scott want a court order restraining the city from arresting them for expressing their religious views.

Jonathan Scruggs, an attorney with the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Alliance Defense Fund, which advocates for religious freedom, argued Monday that the city stepped on the First Amendment when it threatened to arrest anyone who violates Bentleyville rules against political campaigning and preaching.

If we forget where we have come from we won’t know who we are. Pearl Harbor Day unfortunately is an important day in our history. WallBuilders Broadcast. The Barbary Coast war in the Marine Corps hymn we hear the words from the halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli. The Shores of Tripoli referred to our first war after our war for Independence. North African Muslims were attacking American ships at sea, taking Americans hostage, and then charging ransom for American citizens to be returned, usually in very poor condition from their treatment. In other words that war in the early 1800s was a war on terrorism. Here is a link to the WallBuilders Live! presentation that discusses this point. Just as the liberal media distractors have pulled our attention and favor away from our war on terror, liberal edu-crats have all but silenced the education of our young people on World War II. How do historians explain the apathy of Americans?  The country was in the midst of a depression where jobs were scarce enough already.  Though no doubt many Americans were shocked by the stories of atrocities being committed against the Jews in Germany, once those Jews became potential competition for jobs, the sympathy ended.   “A Fortune Magazine poll at the time indicated that 83 percent of Americans opposed relaxing restrictions on immigration”   (“Voyage of the St. Louis.” United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. I couldn’t help but think of the St. Louis after reading a conversation about a  link to the recently released 180 Movie on an internet discussion board.  Though responses to the link were minimal, they were defensive in nature. The responders were obviously irritated that the 180 movie  would compare abortion to the horrors of the Holocaust and accused the movie of being a logical fallacy.  One poster asserted that if the pro-life cause was so certain of their position, then they should let the truths about abortion be proof enough to convince people that abortion is wrong.

Would presenting people with the facts about abortion really be enough to sway this country towards the repeal of Roe vs. Wade?  I think the answer is obvious.  Though Scripture teaches and science has confirmed that the tiniest of humans is indeed human from the get-go, people continue to debate when a baby should actually gain the status of personhood.  Women cling tenaciously to feminist mantras, in spite of graphic descriptions of the abortion process and in light of findings that indicate a baby in the womb most certainly feels pain.  The truth about abortion can easily be found, just as it can easily be ignored.

It is more convenient to label the pro-life movement as “inappropriate” for discussing the similarities of the Holocaust and abortion, then to actually consider those similarities and possibly, even just slightly, altering a personal stance on abortion.  For when a person opens up her mind (or his) to that debate, she risks the possibility of losing a personal right (whether real or imagined).  And if there was anything to be learned from the voyage of the St. Louis, our personal rights must be protected at all costs.

Even if that cost is another person’s life.

We can only share the blame when we either commit great acts of evil ourselves or when we turn a blind eye.  But this implies there is something we can do.  We can choose not to abort.  We can choose to tell our family and friends not to abort. We may even be bold enough to tell our work colleagues not to abort.  We can discourage women we do not know entering an abortion clinic not to abort.  But most of all, we should petition for the rights of unborn children by letting politicians know murdering children is unacceptable.   If abortion were criminalised this would have a great positive impact.  Not just because of the numbers of lives saved, although every life is precious of course.  But because it would be indicative of a positive change in our world if such a divisive issue could unite the majority to be willing to be a voice for these silent victims.

Whether you walked into a concentration camp in Nazi Germany in the 1940s with Swastika flags at every turn, lifted your arm to do the salute at the soldiers and cried “Heil Hitler!”; or you walked into a building with the insidious title “Family Planning”  and demanded for an abortion, you are lying to yourself if you think the latter is no crime to humanity.  Who is more guilty? Those at the abortion clinics who see the outcome of each execution everyday or the Germans who just wondered what happened to their neighbours, or even friends, during World War II?

If you have committed abortion God is willing to forgive you.  I am arguing for the rights of children to live, not asking for people to be burnt at the stake for aborting their child.  I ask you to reconcile yourself with God.  Lives may be saved not just physically but spiritually too.

By the way I looked up some information about abortion in Australia and this message came up from a site that I thought was interesting:

So there you go.  Anti-abortion protestors do make a difference.  We do save lives.  Otherwise why would they be so worried about us?  I would imagine, I would hope perhaps, that soon they will also warn people to not watch the “180 Movie”.  A sign the documentary would have reached out to many.  They  can bury aborted babies.  They can hide their bodies from their mothers.  War criminals may try to cover up genocide, but one day all these great crimes will be exposed by God Himself.    One thing they will never be able to bury though is “180: Changing the Heart of a Nation”.   Jesus already gave His blood.  It’s time for us to change our hearts.

It is disturbing to see just how far the religious are willing to go, to push their propaganda and agendas onto innocent people, children especially. Youth are especially vulnerable and are most damaged by this kind of misinformation, because they will be confused about their reproductive rights as well as historical events.

‘Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I’m pregnant again. I don’t want kids so close together.’

So the doctor said: ‘Ok and what do you want me to do?’

She said: ‘I want you to end my pregnancy, and I’m counting on your help with this.’

The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: ‘I think I have a better solution for your problem. It’s less dangerous for you too.’

She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.

Then he continued: ‘You see, in order for you not to have to take care of 2 babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we’re going to kill one of them, it doesn’t matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.’

The lady was horrified and said: ‘No doctor! How terrible! It’s a crime to kill a child!’

‘I agree’, the doctor replied. ‘But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.’

The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.

He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that’s already been born and one that’s still in the womb. The crime is the same!

Love says, ‘I sacrifice myself for the good of the other person.’ Abortion says, ‘I sacrifice the other person for the good of myself.’

That’s all I want to say as far as the meaty content of the video. Now for the disclaimer: there are disturbing pictures and video footage of concentration camps, as well as images from parts of the abortion procedure. These are not long and drawn out, but are used by the video to draw an interesting parallel and show the brutality of both. I urge you to watch this video despite these upsetting scenes. It may change the way you view a number of things, but it will especially change the way you view abortion (and how you vote).

Fabulous words. He can go be “trusted” by  the “dumb f***” in the rest of the world who give up their information everyday.

For those interested, privacy settings for you will be changing again, and it’ll get worse. People think they are so in control of what is seen- guess what, you aren’t- he is. It’s not so much about what is seen, but what is shared.

Call me old fashioned, but I just wish we could go back to the way we were before. Normal. If you wanted to know something you didn’t stalk someone online, instead you communicated with them. You took the time to sit there in front of someone and ask, watch their expressions-reserve things to yourself (which you have the right to do). I miss this.

[c] I read the legit article by Adventist  General Conference Church President Ted Wilson in Adventist World yesterday. The volume is one of the best that has come out in months. I am so proud of its composition.

I just wanted to say that people are strange these days. More specifically, boys. I’d say men, but-eh. Sorry. That word goes to those who prove themselves as that. It’s like calling someone a doctor.

Their motives, drive, weirdness- are people honest? The majority, no. How depressing. People act way under their age, they give you silent treatment, ignore you, leave when you walk in; they have agendas- not that I didn’t know that before but, man, it’s getting creepy.
