Seria um ultraje ficar de mau humor depois de “ganhar” uma coisa mais gute-gute como essa! E eu coloquei ganhar entre aspas porque eu paguei metadinha dele! rsrsrsrsrs Eu e meu irmão, novamente, deixamos o último de nossos rins para pagar o kit. Hahahahahahahaha!

O kit é o Do-the-trick buff and line. Há outros dois. Na hora, até fiquei tentada a pegar o com o 224, mas pensei melhor. Com esse kit, você pode fazer o rosto todo. O kit com o 224 é específico para olhos, entonces…

Esse kit é composto pelo 187 (duo-fiber), 168 (blush chanfrado), 252 (sombra?), 209 (delineador) e 219 (pincel lápis):

Eles são TU-DO! Lindos, lindos, lindos…  como dá para ver pela foto, eles já estão sujinhos porque eu já lavei e já usei, óbvio! O acabamento desses pincéis é sem comentários. Sim, eu sei que as edições especiais são manufaturadas e acabam perdendo em performance e maciez (enquanto os originais, de tamanho normal, são feitos a mão), mas ainda assim, o acabamento é uma coisa de louco! Melhor do que qualquer coisa que eu já vi (que foram poucas, rsrsrsrs) – olha o cabo, que luxo!

O 187 é bem parecido com o DW1 da Klass Vough, confere:

O comprimento das cerdas é o mesmo, a diferença é que eu achei o da MAC mais gordinho do que o da Klass Vough e um tiquinho mais macio (imaginem o de tamanho normal, então!). PORÉM, como já tinha lido, soltou cerdas tanto na lavagem e moooooitas na minha cara, sendo que o da Klass Vough soltou apenas duas e nenhuma na lavagem!

Ainda assim, ele é lindo! Eu amey esse pincel duo-fiber (independente de ser MAC ou Klass Vough), deixa a pele muito mais bonita e a base mais natural. Dá aquele polimento mesmo! E para aplicar iluminador, ele é TU-DO também! Fica lindo!

Let’s move on…

Para os 'zóio'

Respectivamente na foto: 219, 209 e 252. Eu não tinha ainda um pincel lápis como o 219, mas ele é realmente muito bom para aplicar sombra na linha inferior dos cílios e também dá para marcar o côncavo. Perfeito! Soltou algumas cerdinhas só de mexer nele e na lavagem, mas na aplicação, não.

O 209 é todo de cerdas sintéticas, não soltou cerdas e é bem durinho. O meu veio com a pontinha dobrada e eu tentei aplicar delineador líquido com ele e: super funcionou!! Achei que fiz o traço mais facilmente com ele do que com o pincel que vem no produto! Ele é preciso! Gostei mooooito dele!

O 252 é ainda um mistério para mim. Não sei se é para sombra… se eu entendi direito, ele é composto tanto por cerdas naturais quanto sintéticas, por isso, tem gente que aplica até corretivo com ele! Não testei com produtos mais emolientes (hein!? hahahahahaha), mas para sombra, ele aplicou bem (pegou a quantidade certa e tals). Como ele é duro (sim, ele é bem duro, e as cerdas chegam até a pinicar), não rola esfumar, não. Mas super rola aplicar sombra iluminadora embaixo da sobrancelha com ele. Vou testar com corretivo depois.

Por fim, a decepção:

Thumbs down!

O 168 foi a maior decepção. Tudo bem que os pincéis são manufaturados e a maciez não é a mesma, mas o pincel é DURO, grosso, piniquento… tudo de ruim! Meu pincel de blush chanfrado chinês (aliás, o kit da MAC é feito na China também) é mais macio que ele! Poxa vida, MAC, não precisa chutar o balde e fazer um pincel duro que nem esse! Assim, dá para usar? Dá! Aplica bem blush? Sim! Faz bem o contorno? Faz! Mas dá umas pinicadas no seu rosto…

O engraçado é que quando você passa no braço ele é super macio…

OVERALL: Luxo, poder, glória e sedução – teria os 3 kits, se pudesse!! Eu “mijoguei” nesse kit porque ele custa o equivalente a um pincel MAC aqui no Brasil (R$230! UH! Meu cartão ainda chora…, rsrsrsrsrs) e porque para viagem é ótimo! Eu fiz um rosto completo apenas com esses pincéis (o duo-fiber aplica base, pó, iluminador e blush – olha que maravilha!) e juntando com meu kit pocket Klass Vough (que fica tão pobrinho ao lado desses pincéis, rsrsrsrs) é um kit completo para viagem (é muito melhor levar pincéis miniaturas do que os grandões, né?)!

E fora que (1) eu sou tarada por pincéis e (2) o estojo que vem junto é LEEEEENDO (assim como a embalagem, que eu vou guardar!!! rsrsrsrs)! Por dentro, ele tem até um bolso! \o/

Ah, ia esquecendo. A única coisa que muda nos pincéis (além de serem manufaturados) é o comprimento do cabo. De acordo com a vendedora, o comprimento das cerdas, densidade etc, é a mesma! E aliás, a vendedora que me atendeu foi um amor – até mesmo quando meu irmão perguntou qual era a diferença daqueles pincéis e os de pintar quadro (hahahahahahahaha – chorey)!

E vou contar (rsrsrsrs). Achava que pincel de base era tudo igual, né? Foi aí que peguei nas cerdas do pincel de base (aquele mesmo, de cerdas sintéticas, meio amarelado) da MAC e jisuis! É mooooito macio comparado ao meu da Klass Vough (não sei se o da Contém e o antigo do Boticário são mais macios…) e aquele de base flat é lindo – quero um para mim!

Já posso morrer feliz, feliz!

A me spiace per Michelina Hunziker e Max Tortora, anche perche’ li trovo veramente simpatici, pero’ il 187 funziona veramente una chiavica. Il Web straripa di malumori e incazzature in materia, e volendo riassumere si puo’ dire che:

• gli operatori sono maleducati e strafottenti
• quando non vogliono piu’ parlare col cliente mettono giu’
• si attendono ere geologiche nella speranza di prendere la linea
• c’e’ una diffusa imperizia su procedure e offerte
• Eccetera, eccetera, eccetera.

Pero’ vi voglio raccontare rapidamente la nostra avventura piu’ recente.

Tornati in Italia e trovata finalmente casa, ci siamo attivati per avere l’ADSL, in particolare la Vodafone Station. Il problema e’ che in questo paese di monopolisti, l’ultimo miglio appartiene all’ex-SIP, e quindi l’allacciamento, almeno della linea telefonica di base, non la puo’ fare un altro operatore. Quindi, armati di pazienza, ci siamo registrati sul portale del 187 e abbiamo richiesto il servizio, per il quale, tra l’altro, tra un cacchio e l’altro, si pagano pure piu’ di 100 Euro!

Questo accadeva il 26 Ottobre.

Cosa potevo fare nell’attesa? Andare sul portale, fare login, e vedere sempre la stessa cosa: pratica in lavorazione. Ammazza, dev’essere una lavorazione complessa! Capirai: leggi la notifica, comprendi la richiesta, passala all’assistente amministrativa, che legge la notifica, ne comprende il senso, la passa alla sede regionale, che legge la notifica, ne comprende il significato, la passa all’ufficio tecnico provinciale che… eccheppalle!

Per farla breve, due giorni fa, cioe’ all’alba ormai del trigesimo della mia assurda pretesa di avere una linea telefonica, la pratica era sempre in lavorazione. Tra l’altro il pulsantino che dice “comunicazioni”, che avrei usato per scrivergli qualcosa tipo “aho, ma che cazzo state affa’?”, ovviamente, non funziona. Allora mi frullano da matti, indago, e scopro che se chiedo direttamente a Vodafone di mettermi l’ADSL, loro si fanno carico anche di scassare le balle a Telecom Italia finche’ questa non attacca il doppino al morsetto. Eh… non lo sapevo che era cosi’… che volete… io faccio reti e servizi, di procedure commerciali e amministrative non so una mazza!

Il dado e’ tratto, mi armo di telefono e contestualmente di pazienza preventiva, e chiamo il 187.

Io: “Salve, sono Tizio e Caio, titolare della pratica numero 3274538275463254362475, volevo cancellare questa richiesta perche’ mi sono frantumato i gioielli di famiglia a furia di aspettarvi”.

187: “Mi puo’ dare il codice fiscale, perche’ con Tizio e Caio non la trovo?”.

Io: “Certo, il CF e’ XIEGFYEFGVEVCEIYVI”.

187: “Qui non c’e’ nessuna pratica”.

Io: “Ma come non c’e’ nessuna pratica?? Ce l’ho davanti in questo momento, la sto visualizzando sul sito, con tanto di numero di pratica e email di conferma gelosamente archiviata!”.

187: “Qui non c’e’ nessuna pratica”.

Io: “Ho capito, cazzo! Non sono sordo e non sono rimbecillito! Vorrei sapere perche’ non c’e’ nessuna pratica!!”.

187: “Ah guardi, io non lo so…”

Io: “Ma il dabatase del 187 e’ unico, oppure ne avete due, uno per il Web e uno per il servizio (si vabbe’ servizio…) telefonico?”.

187: “Ehhhh???”.

Io: “Si ok (che illuso che sono). Senta, ma allora, visto che la pratica non c’e', io non devo preoccuparmi di cancellarla vero?” (ma ditemi voi che domande da scemo sono costretto a fare!)

187: “Si”.

Io: “BENEADDIO!!”.

Ora chiedero’ a Vodafone. E tra l’altro, grazie alla Vodafone Station, me ne potro’ fregare allegramente dei tempi di Telecom Italia, perche’ l’aggeggino e’ dotato di una VIK (Vodafone Internet Key) integrata, che mi consentira’ di navigare immediatamente su rete mobile (fino a 7.2 Mbits/secondo) per due mesi gratis, mentre arriva la linea fissa! Tra l’altro questo POST lo sto scrivendo proprio da una VIK, e va benissimo.

E, cosa tutt’altro che trascurabile, Vodafone non mi chiede nemmeno di pagare i cento e passa Euro per l’attivazione.

La Roma torna dopo la sosta con una bella vittora per 3-1 contro un ostico e quantomai arrendevole Bari.

La gara

Le formazioni: La Roma si schiera con un 4-3-3: torna Totti titolare in attacco per un tridente formato insieme a Vucinic e Menez. In porta confermato Julio Sergio mentre in difesa torna Burdisso. De Rossi ancora convalescente dopo la colica renale che lo ha tenuto per qualche giorno in ospedale. Juan non convocato dopo le ostilità ed i problemi avuti in settimana con la Nazionale Brasiliana al suo posto Andreolli.
Per il Bari 4-4-2 con Barreto e Langella in attacco. Assente l’ex Alvarez.

Il primo tempo: Pronti, via ed è subito la Roma ad andare in attacco: Vucinic sembra in giornata e subito prende un corner. Ancora Vucinic si accentra e tira: Gillet battuto lo salva il palo. La Roma ha voglia ma è il Bari ad avere un’occasione gigantesca: Barreto sbuca dietro Andreolli e si trova a tu per tu con Julio Sergio ma tira in malo modo e Julio Sergio ci mette una pezza. Scoppiettante avvio di gara. Vucinic ancora ruba palla a Ranocchia e si invola in contropiede: salta il difensore ma Gillet lo atterra in area ed è rigore. Va Totti dal dischetto e segna l’1-0 spiazzando Gillet. 185° gol in serie A per il Capitano. Il Bari non si arrende e gioca a viso scoperto: Langella ha un’ottima opportunità ma Julio Sergio si supera con una super parata. Ancora Roma e ancora Totti: al 14′ su calcio di punizione sfodera un destro impressionante che il portiere belga Gillet vede entrare per la 2a. volta e reten n° 186. Ma la Roma non è ancora paga del risultato e dopo altri 14′ Totti ne firma un altro: su azione insistita proprio di Totti, la palla viene riscodellata al centro e con una serie di rimpalli arriva di nuovo a Totti che, poco sotto il vertice dell’area di rigore, calcia di sinistro infilando il pallone (deviato da un difensore del Bari) per il 3-0. Tripletta del Capitano e rete 187.  Il Bari non si arrende mai: Langella ha una grande chance che spreca clamorosamente, cosi come Barreto.
Totti ha la possibilità del poker ma Gillet stavolta gli dice di no.

Il secondo tempo: Ventura fa entrare Koman e la gara della compagine pugliese cambia radicalmente. Si rende subito pericoloso con qualche tiro ma Julio Sergio è attento. La Roma abbassa la guardia ormai paga di un primo tempo praticamente quasi perfetto e Barreto prova a segnare sfruttando un clamoroso errore di valutazione della coppia Andreolli – Burdisso, ma Julio Sergio oggi è praticamente insuperabile. Solo un’autogol di Andreolli permette di batterlo. Entrano Julio Baptista, Taddei  ed Okaka per la Roma ma la sostanza non cambia.

Pro & Contro

Pro: Ottimo primo tempo anche se con qualche errore di troppo in difesa. Totti è super, Vucinic e Menez sono due frecce. Julio Sergio è una saracinesca e ci fa pensare al perchè un anno fa giocasse Artur. Buona gara anche della linea mediana, sempre combattiva.
Contro: La Roma gioca praticamente un tempo solo paga del 3-0. Lascia troppi spazi dietri che Barreto e Langella non sfruttano al meglio anche grazie alle ottime parate di Julio Cesar. Forse troppe sbavature in difesa.

UN GRANDISSIMO PLAUSO VA ALLE 2 TIFOSERIE CHE DANNO UNO SPETTACOLO DI PARI QUALITA’ ALLA GARA. COMPLIMENTI!!!

C’è un buco nero a 20 km da Milano.
Tra le provincie di Lodi e Pavia non ci sono montagne, vallate, isole o particolari ostacoli, c’è solo la miopia di Telecom.
Non è possibile connettersi ad internet se non con un modem a 56k e come se non bastasse, nel mio paese (Casaletto Lodigiano) anche le chiavette GPRS/3G funzionano male.
Le chiavette vanno a singhiozzo, si sconnettono di continuo.
Non è raro vedere ragazzi con un laptop sulle ginocchia, seduti in box a navigare, cercando la posizione migliore, quella in cui guadagni una lineetta in più.
Ti offrono il wimax ma a cifre impossibili (soprattutto per un privato).
Poi volti lo sguardo verso nord e vedi Milano all’orizzonte, quasi la tocchi.
E’ veramente umiliante…

In questo sconforto provo ad attivare l’unica cosa possibile: Telecom Internet Teleconomy Flat 56k a 12 euro al mese. Si, avete letto bene: 56k. Io navigo ancora con il modemino a 56k (da me è più veloce del GPRS).
Attivo l’opzione dal sito 187.it il 10/11. Il giorno dopo ricevo mail di conferma attivazione servizio: hanno 5 giorni di tempo ed è già attivo!
Configuro tutto e provo. Provo. Provo. Nulla. Non è possibile attivare il servizio a causa di un problema tecnico: riprovare più tardi.
Ti pareva.
Al 187 consigliano di attendere 5 giorni. Provo Domenica, il 15/11. Nulla. La rabbia sale.
Chiamo il 187 e apro segnalazioen guasto: tranquillo entro 48 ore ti chiameranno. Aspettiamo.
Lunedì sera la faccio sporca e provo a chiamarli. Mi mettono giù. Riprovo mi risponde seccata una centralinista che mi dice che devo aspettare fino alla mezzanotte… si, nelle favole.
Se passano 10 giorni mi tocca pagare e non posso più disdire, se non pagando penale pari a 4 mensilità.
Il 17 sera disdico tutto. Il 18 mattina chiamo per conferma il 187 e ridisdico ancora. Tutto a voce! Ma non serviva una raccomandata?
Alle 13 del 17/11 mi chiama il tizio dell’assistenza… era solo il suo profilo da attivare sul server!

Ooops, I didn’t get round to writing last week’s update so this is a special double edition – twice the list fun for your money!

It’s been a fortnight of almosts; I almost managed to give blood but they didn’t have any spare appointments (honestly! That’s not just an excuse!), I almost wore a poppy for Remembrance Sunday but it fell off my coat last Saturday night and I almost wore another pair of shoes but the near-constant rain meant they weren’t a practical choice.

To make sure I manage to complete more things and don’t get stuck with almosts I’ve been working through my list to work out which things I can get on with and which ones are meant for later in the year.

I have managed to tick off a few things from the list, watch out for more updates coming this week (don’t forget you can subscribe so you don’t miss anything) and I’ve added an ‘about me‘ page to my blog so you can find out, er, about me.

It’s been a bit quiet around here over the last week or so as I’ve been super busy and feeling a bit under the weather so no graph this week (sorry graph fans). My (slightly crumpled) entry sticker

In all my autumnal walk and joining the National Trust excitement I almost forgot to blog about visiting a National Trust property which started them both off in the first place! I like looking at pretty things, big houses and some nice gardens once in a while so I’d been meaning to get out and about and snoop around some National Trust places, hence this early addition to the list.

My first National Trust trip of the year (as I now plan to make the most of my membership) was with my mum to Polesden Lacey, an Edwardian house with beautiful gardens and grounds near to where I grew up. When I was growing up we used to visit really often, mostly to have big picnics in the grounds, but it’d been ages since I was last there. They’ve recently redone bits of the visitor centre but the grounds were almost exactly as I remembered them.

Once I’d sorted out my membership we had a wander round the house itself which was the home of Mrs Greville, an apparently legendary hostess. According to the (many and very helpful!) stewards, she used to have Queen Mary down for tea (apparently she was a fan of cinnamon scones), and threw lots of parties. The things they have on display are amazing; thank you notes from the Queen, photos of famous visitors, beautiful furniture and knick-knacks plus photos of Mrs Greville and her 17 dogs (there is even a dog cemetery!). I guess she was like the early 20th century version of a WAG (though she was a widow for most of her life at Polesden Lacey); all glitzy parties and lunches with famous and important people. She used to have tea and cakes at 5pm every day in a room chosen to catch the evening sun and look out over the gardens from a little patio. Definitely a life I could get used to!

After our amble round the house, we headed off to the café (always my favourite bit of any road trip!) where I had the best steak and ale pie I’ve ever tasted. After our big lunch we set off for our walk around the grounds (though the big lunch meant it was more of a waddle). Next on the list of National Trust places to visit is Bodiam Castle with Carolyn & Kelvin…

P.S. Sorry for the lack of recent updates but the (rubbish) combination of being super busy and feeling under the weather means I’ve been mostly doing important things or sleeping (and occasionally the latter when I probably should’ve been doing the former oops!)

Well hello there list fans how are you today? It’s been a busy week in my little world and I managed to add three more things to the ‘done‘ list (about ruddy time too!)

My flurry of National Trust things (here and here) got some attention from their lovely twitter peeps who spread the word about a couple of my posts which in turn led to other people noticing and saying lovely things about my blog and silly challenge. For two days I felt like a celebrity (I kept telling people I’d ‘gone viral‘ – I think they just thought I had swine flu or something!) and I had lots of visits to my blog so I was dead chuffed. If you are one of those people thank you for coming over for a snoop around.

Alternatively, if you are one of the suprisingly large number of people that stumble across my blog by googling a variant of ‘change bathroom heater fuse‘ I’m sorry if all you found is my blow-by-blow account of nearly electrocuting myself. Please note that (contrary to the impression I may give off!) I am not a qualified electrician and I don’t recommend you follow my (obviously very comprehensive) instructions.

Getting there...

Seeing as my friend Tom enjoyed my last graph so very much I thought I’d make it a semi-regular (i.e. when I remember) feature here. Luckily my recent exploits have ticked more things off the list so it is looking a bit healthier. I love graphs.

I’ve been researching some list things so keep an eye on my blog for more updates…

I got in from my autumnal walk to find an email from my friend Abi suggesting some new things to add to my list. There are some good ones in there but one that caught my eye was ‘join the National Trust‘ as I’d actually joined a few hours earlier. Freaky! I love accidental list things!

My shiny new membership pack

For the uninitiated, the National Trust are a charity which “works to preserve and protect the coastline, countryside and buildings of England, Wales and Northern Ireland” (from the National Trust website). They look after lots of beautiful houses, gardens and chunks of countryside. I love them as I get to pretend I live in the enormous houses and that they’re my grounds (this is probably the closest I’ll ever get to having a huge house!).

Entrance into the house and gardens of the National Trust property I visited with my mum was £11 but membership of the National Trust for ’young people’ under 26 is only £21.50. I’m not one to turn down a bargain – I’d only have to visit one other place this year to make it worthwhile – so I went for it!

As a member I now get free entry into National Trust properties and gardens in the UK (and Barbados, the Bahamas and other countries!) plus other bits and pieces so I’m going to see how many places I can wander around this year. As some of my list things are specifically visiting National Trust sites and others involve visiting other parts of the UK I should be able to get through a fair few.

I particularly love the National Trust now after they retweeted my last blog post which sent masses of people over here to have a look around (hello if you’re one of them). Check them out on twitter – @nationaltrust

Ready to go!

I currently live in a city which, though very beautiful, isn’t the greenest of places. I see most of my ‘nature’ from the bus on the way to work and from the window of my desk which overlooks  a park. As autumn has descended I’ve been looking wistfully over at the orange trees and feeling a childish desire to kick through leaves.

This weekend I popped home to stay with my mum and we decided to go for a leaf-crunching walk through the countryside. We went to a local National Trust property (more on that to come…) and wandered through the woods and up lots of hills (presumably there were some downhill bits too but the uphill bits were much more noticeable!). We did consider taking a picture of me on a fallen tree and claiming that as my ‘climbing a tree‘ challenge but it’s still a bit early for hardcore cheating! We walked fairly far, admired the views across Surrey towards London, got our wellies muddy and yes, there was crunching through leaves!

The countryside in the North Downs is gorgeous all year round but it looks particularly impressive during the autumn…

This has definitely inspired me to get out and about closer to where I live, I might even buy myself some wellies all of my own!

The Boat-tailed Grackle lives along the United States East coast, close to saltwater and coastal marshes. Omnivorous, it feeds on shrimps, crabs and molluscs it finds in the mud flats and watercourses, and complements its diet by feeding on worms, wheat and rice. Sociable, it lives in flocks, in colonies. Its length is 42 cm and its wingspan is 37 cm.

Le quiscale des marais vit le long de la côte est des États-Unis, près des marais salés et côtiers. Omnivore, il s’alimente de crevettes, de crabes et de mollusques qu’il trouve dans les vasières et les cours d’eau, et complète son régime en se nourrissant de lombrics, de blé et de riz. Sociable, il vit en bande, en colonie. Il a une longueur de 42 cm et une envergure de 37 cm.

The American Tree Sparrow is not afraid of the cold! Present in Canada and the United States during the nesting period, it nests essentially in the Nouveau-Québec and Basse-Côte-Nord regions in Québec, in the tundra zone. During the winter, it migrates toward all the other Québec regions and is capable of surviving the worst cold weather conditions. It feeds mainly on seeds and plants, but can be tempted by insects, flowers and fruits during the nesting period. It also visits feeding dishes during the winter. The length of the American Tree Sparrow is 15 to 16 cm.

Le bruant hudsonien n’a pas peur du froid! Présent au Canada et aux États-Unis en période de nidification, il niche essentiellement au Nouveau-Québec et sur la Basse-Côte-Nord, en zone de toundra. En hiver, il migre vers toutes les régions québécoises et est capable de survivre aux pires froids. Il se nourrit principalement de graines et de plantes mais se laisse tenter par des insectes, des fleurs et des fruits durant la période de nidification. Il fréquente également les mangeoires en hiver. Le bruant hudsonien a une longueur de 15 à 16 cm.
