Me senté anoche a observar qué había en televisión estaba dispuesto a que si no había nada más me dispondría a seguir mi lista y hacer la entrada sobre una de las muchas pelis que tengo pendiente.

Bueno, había un par de series, otro par de pelis y Goodfellas de Scorsese. Sabía que la peli era larga y que estaba un poco cansado pero transcurridos unos diez minutos, ya estaba cautivado por la historia.

Ya había dicho de Scorsese que no es sólo como describe las vidas y costumbres de los italianos mayormente en Nueva York, el hombre es un verdadero cuentero, cada pedacito tiene algo interesante, cada chiste tiene su magia. ¿Cuántos actores son naturales en la peli? ¿Cuántos verdaderamente sabían actuar? Todos se interpretan a si mismos y muchos hoy día se encuentran encasillados en ese primer papel que hicieron para el maestro. La lista es larga y uno se pone a revisarla y casi todos los encuentra uno de nuevo actuando igualito en The Sopranos.

La peli es fascinante, lo que más me agrada y recuerdo haberlo escrito en algún lado por ahí hace quince años es que los italianos si que saben comer y cocinar. Me pasó con The Sopranos, me pasó con Anthony Bordain cuando visitó Nueva Jersey italiana y me pasó con Goodfellas en 1990. Alguna vez con un amigo de universidad grabamos la peli y anotamos cuidadosamente las recetas de Pauly y Jimmy en la cárcel, diligentemente nos acomodamos en alguna de nuestras casas con ingredientes de excelente calidad, repetimos la receta al pie de la letra, recuerdo que la única excepción fue que en vez de latas de tomate en realidad buscamos como hacer la salsa con tomates frescos, lo que nos iba a tomar tres o cuatro horas más. No importó. Rebanamos el ajo con bisturíes X-Actos y delicadamente los sofreímos en acetite de oliva medianamente caliente. Tal cómo Liotta y su personaje lo describían el ajo simplemente se deshacía en el aceite, la carne absorbía esa emulsión y al servirse con una porción de pasta, pan y vino tinto ya no eramos estudiantes de una universidad pública, eramos sicilianos encarcelados, eramos la estrellas de rock que cocinaban y comían con todos los lujos del caso.

Pero a quién engañabamos eso nos había costado semanas y semanas de almuerzos. Pero había valido la pena. Por una vez en la vida estabamos probando los manjares que Scorsese alguna vez nos había confiado.

Hoy más que revisar las cámaras de Michael Ballhaus, la excelente actuación de Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta, Lorraine Bracco, más alla de comentar los títulos de Saul Bass, la edición de Schoonmaker o la música organizada por Christopher Brooks. Hoy más que nada, recomiendo en las clásicas pelis de Scorsese ponerle atención a las recetas de las comidas y tratar de rehacerlas lo más parecido posible. Usar ingredientes frescos y de buena calidad. El resultado cada vez que se repitan las escenas la sensación va a ser erótica, va a ser inigualable. Las descriptivas escenas de Scorsese y una boca cebando esos misteriosos sabores del Mediterráneo.

I never thought I’d say this, but I am getting pretty well sick of these Playboy posts.

But a commitment is a commitment. I told myself I’d do all the Miss Novembers this November, and I am damned well going to. The fact that I’ve found my energy is flagging is all part of the experiment, and I need to see it as a challenge to my creativity to keep it poppin’ fresh for myself as I finish the month. I have only a few days left and something like ten or eleven more ladies to do, so let’s blow this up. Lovely and talented Ms. Lorraine Olivia, Playboy’s Miss November 1990, won’t you please take it away for us?

You may guess what her day job was (flight attendant), but her hobby is sports. Besides being an avid athlete herself, she passionately avowed her love for the teams in Chicago, her home base.

In fact, in her Playmate interview, Ms. Olivia says that she used to ditch her high school jobs so frequently to go down to Wrigley to catch a Cubs game that she had to try and keep track of which excuses she had already used.

She started rooting for them during their big 1984 season; they were the cause of frequent no-shows at the car dealership and the pharmacy where she held jobs: “I always had to ask myself, Did I use that excuse last week?” (Note to future employers: Lorraine’s favorite excuse was that she had to “check out colleges.”) (“High Flier,” Playboy, November 1990.)

I can get behind that: quit your job and go on tour! Though I generally used to say this only in reference to what any musician with a day job ought to do, I have recently begun to apply it across the board in the general spirit of “follow your dreams.” As my brother-in-law says that my husband taught him, “Don’t follow the money and look for the love: do what you love and the money will follow.” This is interesting to me because, presently, my husband has not returned to finish his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in painting despite our separation meaning that he has more free time, money, and less obligation than during our marriage and that there is therefore literally no time like the present to pursue his dreams — instead, he still works for the heartless banking corporation he got a job with after we got married and he deferred enrollment at his art school. I’m not sure why. I do not ask him difficult things until I think he is ready to talk about it.

In addition to modeling and appearing in Playboy videos (notably their “Women of Color” collections — oh, that PC prince of porn, Hugh Hefner; lord love him!), she has had one other acting part. She appeared in an episode of Fresh PRince of Bel-Air as “Playmate.” She clearly has a stunning range, and I hope you consider her for your next big part. Speaking of flicks:

This post will focus on the lesser-known variations in the Dallas, TX based company’s sophmore set. 1990 Pro Set is home to a ton of well-documented variations: The New Orleans saints cards with white numbers, cards of Ray Perkins and Johnny Holland are missing their names and position on the reverse, stat errors in the text of Joe Montana’s card #2, etc…all of that info has been recorded in many places online and is usually just a click away. Tonight, I’m going to showcase some of the lesser known variations that can be found in the set.

#772 Dexter Manley backwards T. Manley’s card is already one of the most desirable error cards produced in modern trading cards. As of this writing, the last sale was for over $600. For those who don’t know, Manley’s card originally had a message about his suspension from the league due to violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, to which Manley and his lawyer objected. According to Pro Set, just a handful slipped through before correction. Not a new story in the error card world, but what many people are just finding out, is that a third variety exists: a version of the corrected card where the ‘t’ in “Official card of the NFL” on back (at bottom) looks as though it was printed backwards, or better yet, like a ‘j’ that had it’s top crossed instead of dotted. The backwards t is also present on the original substance abuse version as well, making this card a somewhat difficult “transitional” variety. In the 55 sets I have acquired in pursuit of the ’substance abuse’ error, I have found just one of these ‘backward t’ errors!

#134 Andre Rison with “clipped” number on back. Rison’s card is already a mess as it comes in 3-different varieties to begin with: a) No trade on front (NTOF) b) Trade on front (TOF) c) Trade on front, Message back (TOFMB). Both types that show #134 in the bottom right corner can be found with the top of the digits sliced off. My experience collecting these variations has shown a 1 error: 4 corrected for each of the (NTOF) and (TOF) types.

#134 Andre Rison (Lud Denny Message on back) signature variations: Rison’s message back card was always one of my favorite pulls as a kid. It was just weird! The president of a card company explaining themselves to me in letter form? On that back of one of the hottest young receiver’s in the league’s card?? I vaguely recall reading something back in 1990 about a version that didn’t have all of the message printed on back and I eagerly tried to find one for myself. Unfortunately, as of now, it remains in my “Urban card legends” file as I’ve yet to see or hear of another copy since. But my hunt did however, turn up a variation in this card: One variety has Lud’s signature printed so that it nearly touches his name and the word ’sincerely’ and another has it spaced further away. I have found 1 ‘close’ version for every 10 ‘further’ copies I own.

#59 Mike Ditka large ‘Hall of Fame’ print. A fairly straight-forward one that may not entirely qualify for the ‘unknown’ title, but since it’s not cataloged in any of the annual guides, it’s worth mentioning here. Mike Ditka’s card comes in two different varieties involving the font size of the words “Hall of Fame” in the banner on front: The much rarer version has the larger font that stretches across the entire banner-usually getting cut off at the edges while the more common version is shrunk to fit with a little room around the words. I have found just 3 copies of the large print for my 90 small print ones making this, in my opinion, of course, one of the rarest pack-issued variations from 1990 Pro Set.

A few final notes of interest for 1990 Pro Set:

-The Santa Claus card is rumored to come in two different versions. I have a magazine or two from early 1991 where readers wrote in to ask about this. I own a dozen of copies of the card and they all look the same to me. The only mistake I can find is that they forgot a quotation mark after the word WARE (for Andre Ware) but I have yet to see a corrected copy. Something tells me that this isn’t why collectors thought a variation existed.  Also, the 1989 Santa is rumored as well, to have a version when there is a statistical measurement for his belly on back. Can anyone confirm this?

-#719 Mike Bellamy can be found with the right arm of the Y in BELLAMY clipped off on the card front. I have found just 3 copies like this in roughly 60 copies I own.

-#644 Dave Waymer is rumored to exist in a version similar to Rod Woodson and Wes Hopkins’ cards where the stat headings are printed in red instead of black. I can’t confirm this, but I can confirm that 1:3 of the copies I have found has a thin, jagged, almost hand-printed looking line under the TOTALS on back, maybe not rare but a definite variation that Pro Set took the time to change.

-#343 Chris Hinton Pro Bowl card is a well-known variation due to it receiving a traded ’snipe’ on the front. Pro Set also changed the text on back to mention his trade. A third variety may be out there that shows the trade ’snipe’ but without the new text on back. This would likely be a very short run ‘transitional’ type card similar to the 1989 variations of Jim McMahon, Gerald Riggs and Earnest Byner. Based on my 80+ copies, I am unable to confirm this right now.

Von 1984 bis heute ...

Das ist nun schon der zweite mit “Faszination Nikon” betitelte Artikel. Aber Nikon, das ist Technik-Geschichte und Mythos zugleich. Und auch und gerade derjenige, der seit 25 Jahren mit den Kameras dieses Herstellers arbeitet, kann sich diesem Mythos nicht entziehen.

Ja, das ist der Aufhänger, seit 25 Jahren habe ich Nikon-Kameras in Händen. Und meine älteste ist gar bereits 33 Jahre alt. Und funktioniert noch immer. Ohne je ein einziges Mal im Service oder in Reparatur gewesen zu sein.

Von der analogen in die digitale Welt mit Nikon

Robustheit und Langlebigkeit bei härtester Beanspruchung zeichnet Nikon-Kameras seit 1959 aus, seit der legendären Nikon F, Nikons erster Spiegelreflex, also seit 50 Jahren. Und seit 50 Jahren ist die Nikon das bevorzugte Handwerkszeug des Berufsfotografen und des ambitionierten Amateurs.

Ich habe nicht von Anfang an mit Nikon fotografiert. Meine erste Profi-SLR war ein Konkurrenzmodell: die Canon F-1.

Die erste Nikon habe ich 1984 gekauft und ein gutes Jahr lang parallel zu meiner Canon-Ausrüstung benutzt. Ich schätzte bei der F-1 die selektive Belichtungsmessung. Und daß sie eine vollmechanische Kamera war. Mein Mißtrauen gegen eine elektronische Kamerasteuerung wie in der Nikon F3 war damals groß gewesen. Andererseits lag die Nikon hervorragend in der Hand. Zusammen mit dem Motor bildete sie eine ergonomische Einheit mit der sich gut arbeiten ließ.

Meine “Aversion” gegen die Elektronik ließ mich ein Jahr später eine andere Nikon kaufen, die legendäre F2, die damals mit der Einführung der F3 alle “Elektronik-Skeptiker” zu erwerben trachteten. Ich kaufte ein Modell von 1976, ohne AI-Kupplung und noch mit Mitnehmerkralle. Nikons berühmter Links-Rechts-Ratsch beim Einsetzen des Objektivs, mit dem dem Photomic-Sucher die Lichtstärke der jeweils verwendeten Optik mitgeteilt wurde.

Zwei motorisierte Nikon F2 waren bis zum Frühjahr 1990 meine “Arbeitspferde”.

Auch wenn meine Ablehnung gegenüber elektronischen Kameras zwischenzeitlich geschwunden war, so hatte ich mit diesen Geräten keinen ernsthaften Grund, wieder auf die F3 umzusteigen.

Erst 1990, bei der Arbeit zur Illustration des ADAC Natur-Reiseführer Deutschland …

… bot sich mir die Möglichkeit recht preisgünstig das Nachfolgemodell F4 als Vorführgerät zu erwerben. Unbeschadet dessen blieben die beiden F2 weiter im Einsatz und auch weiterhin meine bevorzugten Kameras.

Die hatten Gewicht, mehr als die F4, lagen “satt” in der Hand. Der Motor bildete ein ausgewogenes Gegengewicht zu meiner Lieblings-Optik, dem 2,8/300 mm von Tamron.

Kein Thema, solange die (professionelle) Fotografie analog war, auf Film, Dia oder Negativ.

Im Profi-Sektor war auf einmal alles digital ...

Doch irgendwann, seit Beginn des Jahrtausendwechsels, mußte sich der Profi auf neue Gegebenheiten einstellen: die Fotografie war digital geworden. Nicht unbedingt und zwingend die Aufnahmetechnologie, aber der Kunde verlangte zunehmend Bilddateien. Dias fürs Archiv oder Color-Prints zu Aktuellem war nicht mehr “in”.

Nun gut, irgendwann ist man die Nachtschichten am Scanner leid …

Auch wenn mich die horrenden Preise professioneller D-SLR’s lange abgeschreckt hatten, Ende 2005 hatte ich wieder Glück. Wie vor 15 Jahren mit der F4 kam ich an ein Vorführgerät. Und seither arbeite ich mit einer Nikon D2H.

Das ist bequemer, nicht mehr zu scannen, gar keine Frage. Ich würde, noch nicht mal aus “Spaß an der Freude” jemals auch nur ein einziges Foto auf Film belichten. Aber nicht, daß jetzt jemand glaubt, die digitale Technik sei der “Quantensprung”, schon gar nicht die allseits grassierende Megapixel-Hype um immer mehr und noch immer mehr.

Auf den Verkaufserfolg selbst ist das ganz ohne jeglichen Einfluß. Mein Beispiel nachstehend. Links ein Digitalfoto, dessen Ausgangsbasis der Scan von einem 400-er Fuji Color-Negativ gewesen ist, rechts eine digitale Aufnahme mit der D2H.

La qualità della Democrazia in Italia Capitale Sociale e Politica. Marco Almagisti affronta dettagliatamente il problema dello scollamento tra strutture istituzionali e forme nelle quali la vita in comunità dei cittadini concretamente si sviluppa. Sintomo ulteriore di questo divario tra la realtà e il potere è a nostro parere il mancato riconoscimento della partecipazione femminile e del protagonismo femminile ai vertici delle organizzazioni, delle imprese e delle istituzioni sovraordinate rispetto ai livelli locali.

Il docente di Scienze Politiche all’Università di Padova ha studiato le pratiche che, eccedendo le regole base della democrazia per creare ulteriori legami civici, aumentano il “capitale sociale”, la qualità, di una democrazia. Gli ostacoli tradizionali alla partecipazione femminile nelle organizzazioni più influenti sono tra i sintomi dello scollamento tra attivismo crescente nella società e rigidità dei sistemi di potere, tema che ad un livello più ampio è affrontato da Almagisti, con una particolare attenzione al ruolo, in via di ridefinizione e di rilancio, assunto dai territori.

Al principio della nostra ricognizione sui rapporti tra partecipazione femminile e qualità della democrazia, ormai alcuni mesi fa, Marco Almagisti, autore del testo “La qualità della democrazia in Italia. Capitale Sociale e Politica”, ci ha detto che anche se le pratiche che eccedono in positivo le regole scritte che permettono alla società di funzionare sono processi legati alla storia delle singole comunità, le regole hanno un loro peso: nel caso della partecipazione femminile “uno degli elementi fondamentali è proprio la possibilità di accesso, se ci sono meno strumenti di welfare le opportunità diminuiscono”.

Almagisti è autore di molte ricerche sulle relazioni tra stato, partiti, associazioni e cittadini, indagini che approfondiscono soprattutto lo spazio vuoto che si è venuto a creare tra le organizzazioni politiche ed istituzionali ed il sapere sociale dei luoghi dove la vita dei cittadini si sviluppa, e sui tentativi di riempirlo che le comunità locali, le associazioni, gli studenti, i nuovi partiti locali, hanno messo in atto e stanno sperimentando.  Nell’intervista gli è stato fatto notare che uno dei segni più eclatanti dell’impermeabilità sviluppata dalle istituzioni è il ritardo rispetto all’ingresso di donne ai vertici delle organizzazioni, laddove nella società civile cresceva un protagonismo femminile che la arricchiva.

“Non soltanto i partiti ma anche le associazioni – ha risposto Almagisti – sono state ideate da maschi e pensate da uomini e questo ha delle conseguenze che si ripercuotono poi a livello superiore, nelle sedi dove si prendono le decisioni. A fronte comunque di strutture che si oppongono ai cambiamenti, si può affermare che nei territori, io guardo al Veneto, il potere di perpetuazione oligarchico è meno forte, abbiamo in Veneto varie amministrazioni in cui ai vertici ci sono donne e bisogna dire che lì c’è un approccio molto pragmatico e inclusivo ai problemi”.

Il Veneto e la Toscana sono al centro del libro edito da Carocci, Almagisti infatti trova nelle esperienze storiche (due casi di protagonismo dei territori prima dell’insorgenza del locale cui si è assistito dagli anni ‘90 in poi, due laboratori di autogoverno a guida Dc in Veneto e Pc in Toscana) ed attuali (il partito territorio ed il sistema dell’impresa in Veneto, il peso dell’associazionismo con dna sociale in Toscana) esempi di ambienti dove l’attivismo degli abitanti organizzati in comunità cerca la propria forma istituzionale e il proprio raccordo con lo stato.

“E’ vero che sopratutto tra gli studenti le strutture caratterizzate in senso sessista finalmente sono superate, studenti, protagonisti delle nuove professioni, dell’autoimpresa, portano avanti un grande attivismo civico, perfino in piccoli centri come Trebaseleghe (Padova) a coordinare le iniziative civiche cui prende parte una buona fetta della popolazione sono spesso ragazze”. Allora quello che viene da chiedere a chi studia nel dettaglio i sistemi politici è se questi cambiamenti sono in grado di smuovere mutamenti molto più lenti nelle istituzioni centrali.

“Nell’ambito locale sì, mentre nel capoluogo, Treviso, si registravano problemi sull’esercizio del culto da parte di persone di religione diversa, a Villorba il sindaco ha dato la disponibilità a patto che le funzioni si svolgessero in lingua italiana. Liviana Scattolon, sindaco di Villorba, è della Lega, guardando invece ad un’ altra area politica si potrebbe menzionare Laura Puppato, sindaco di Montebelluna (Belluno), ha anche lei una politica di risoluzione dei problemi degli immigrati basata su una integrazione di fatto, ancora una volta approcci molto pragmatici, molto inclusivi”.

Anche alla luce del contributo di Almagisti, dedicato alla democrazia ma per noi del tutto in tema riguardo alla qualità della vita delle comunità del nostro territorio italiano ed europeo in fatto di partecipazione femminile, si potrebbe aggiungere che anche la novità regionale del Lazio, con una probabile presenza di candidature di donne da parte delle maggiori coalizioni, rappresenta una possibilità di ribaltamento della situazione, perchè il panorama nazionale è ancora molto bloccato da questo punto di vista e un segnale dal Lazio non sarebbe insignificante perchè si tratta di una regione – la regione di Roma – che ha un peso politico anche di carattere nazionale maggiore di molte altre.

Genial. Bellísima. Cine bonito? Pues claro, y sencillo a la vez. Parece mentira que tenga que haber tiros, conspiraciones, salidas del armario o giros extremos para que algun crítico comprenda bien una película.

Desde En el Estanque Dorado no me había gustado tanto un film que tratara sobre las emociones y descubrimientos humanos sin que tuviésemos que llorar a la fuerza. Las normas de la casa de la sidra es una genialidad. Todo lo que ocurre entretiene, no hastía al espectador y un año pasa por delante de nosotros en dos horas magistralmente rodadas.

La fotografía y la música la arropan y llevan durante todo el metraje. No he visto nunca una historia de incesto tratada tan ejemplarmente y la historia de amor del protagonista no tiene una frase de más. Es perfecta. Chapeau para M. Caine y las dos enfermeras. También para Charlize Theron, la que para mí es hoy en día la mejor actriz que trabaja en esto del cine.

Magistral y enormemente sencilla. Éso es cine señores… 9.7

Nos encontramos ante un caso excepcional.

Cuando se tiene un guión sólido, fuerte, que es capaz de tocar temas terribles (niños abandonados, incesto, aborto, adicciones, heridos de guerra, enfermedades terminales) y otros mas agradables (amistad, primer amor, descubrimiento de la sexualidad) sin caer en moralina de bolsillo sino encontrando desde el primer minuto al espectador y dejando que tenga opinión propia, una película ya tiene muchos puntos a su favor. Además, la historia está contada con sensibilidad (no sensiblería) y delicadeza, lo que la convierte para todos los públicos.

Pero cuando se tiene ese guión, una dirección briosa y con un ritmo impecable, unos actores en estado más que de gracia (magistral Michael Caine), una fotografía brillante y una banda sonora de altura nos encontramos con una obra maestra.

Mejor dicho, nos encontramos con la obra maestra infravalorada que aparece cada cierto tiempo (y es que se llevó el Oscar a guión adaptado y actor de reparto, pero se podría haber llevado todos; y eso que se sorprendió mucha gente de que estuviera ahí y de pronto se convirtió en una de las favoritas).

Y es que a veces tiene que pasar algo de tiempo para que nos demos cuenta de estas películas que salen y los críticos llaman “pequeña pelicula bonita” o “sencilla, cómoda de ver” son auténticas lecciones de cine: películas sencillas (o no tanto) pero también sinceras y directas al corazón y al cerebro del espectador (o no se acuerdan de “Tomates verdes fritos”).

Er hat das ganze Haus für sich, kann tun und lassen was er möchte und hätte dennoch nichts lieber als die eigene Familie in den heimischen vier Wänden. In „Kevin – Allein zu Haus“ spielt Macaulay Culkin einen achtjährigen Jungen, von der Familie bei der Abreise Richtung Paris zu Hause vergessen.

Das Haus der Familie McCallister versinkt am Abend vor der großen Reise – die Familie möchte die Weihnachtstage bei Verwandten in Paris verbringen – in völligem Chaos. Mehr als ein Dutzend Familienmitglieder stellen das Haus auf den Kopf und es kommt zum Streit zwischen Kevin und seiner Familie. Zur Strafe muss Kevin die Nacht auf dem Dachboden verbringen. In den folgenden Stunden kommt es durch einen heftigen Sturm zum Stromausfall und so versagt am Morgen der Abreise auch der Funkwecker im elterlichen Schlafzimmer. In letzter Sekunde bekommt die Familie noch den Shuttle-Bus zum Flughafen, vergisst dabei aber dummerweise Kevin auf dem Dachboden.

Dieser hat nun das Haus für sich alleine, muss aber Bekanntschaft mit den Einbrechern Harry Lime und Marv Merchants machen, welche es genau auf sein Haus abgesehen haben. Durch geschickte Tricks, die den Einbrechern in den meisten Fällen erhebliche Schmerzen zufügen, kann Kevin sein Haus bis zum Eintreffen der Polizei verteidigen.

Could this abandoned cat be pregnant?
Somebody dropped off a cat at my home. The local shelter is full so I have been taking care of her temporarily. She seems to be around a year but slightly under because she seems small, not to her full capacity but it is hard to tell. She seems young though.

It is also the hungriest cat I have ever met, it eats constantly. More than my dachshund.

It fits the bill of a purebred russian blue cat in looks and every other description that I can find of one anywhere. Absolutely fits it to a tee.

I am really not sure what to do here, All it does it meow all day long and want to eat. I did not want a cat and really do not want the expense of an additional animal.

I checked her litter box and it does not appear that she has worms, I had my neighbor look too in case I wasn’t noticing. We cannot see worms. She seems too young to get pregnant.

I have no idea where she has been prior but her coat is in good condition she does not seem dirty and does not have any runny eyes or gobbly gook that a cat might have being on the streets a long time. She seems healthy and vibrant, only thing about her is she had fleas which I gave her some Frontline and she is as hungry as a beast.

If she hears the dogs kibble go in their bowl she ravenously attacks it even if I just fed her a can of cat food. I thought my dachshund overate, but I did not meet a glutenous animal until I met this cat!

How would I know if she is pregnant? I somehow doubt she is. But she is a crazed cat when it comes to eating.

What are other signs to look for? Is approx 8 mos too young for a cat to be pregnant? I have no idea her exact age but I am low-balling in order to be accurate.
I really don’t know if I can keep her or not, I am doing everything in my power but if I need to move into an apartment soon versus the house I am living in I don’t know if I would want to coop up two small dogs + one cat. The dogs love the cat and vice versa. I am not sure what to do, but I will try. She is a sweet cat.

And cats can get pregnant at five months. So it is possible that she could be pregnant.

Strays of all species can be cray with food when you give it to them because they don’t know when their next meal will be. Chances are she doesn’t know you’ll feed her again in a few hours. This habit can decrease over time.

She could also be pregnant. Pregnancy obviously requires an increased nutritional intake, so be sure to feed her if she is hungry. Her body dictates what it needs, so you should not limit her because she seems to be over-eating.

I commend you on being an animal lover. Really. SO many would just dump her. I wish you could keep her! Please consider. I would take her to a vet soon to check for pregnancy, because if she is in early stages it can be terminated. Cruel I know, but you don’t want to bring any more kittens into the world without homes, you know? cats aren’t very expensive, you know! I have two… I am on the Banfield Wellness Plan at Petsmart and pay $20 a month and it covered spay, shots, exams, everything. It has been pretty great.

1950: Se utilizaba ropa cómoda surgiendo así la ropa juvenil. Se había puesto de moda la ropa extravagante. Los estampados eran de mariposas y de flores. Las siluetas volvieron hacer más lisas y se comenzaron a imponer rápidamente por todo el mundo las minifaldas.

1960: Surgió el concepto de la ropa diferente, original, divertida y extravagante. El cabello se usaba corto y con cortes geométricos. Tanto los hombres como las mujeres comenzaron a usar pantalones de campana y aparecieron  las blusas de algodón.

1970: Década muy diversa, se produjo un furor hacia lo RETRO. Las flores fueron el principal símbolo en la ropa y en el pelo. Resaltaban los trajes y vestidos, con ajustados pantalones. El algodón fue remplazado por la lycra; usaban botas o zapatones de tacón.

This is an annual event that i always go to every year. Its good to see that the turn-outs are becoming better as the year goes by. I’VE GOT A BURNING HEART

Vegyes érzelmeim vannak erről a Gundam sorozatról. Nem volt rossz, de simán az egyik gyengébb darabja a franchisenak.

Plot: Időszámításunk UC 0083. Három év telt el az Egy Éves Háború után, de nyugalmat megzavarja, egy renegát Zeon csapat, a Delaz Fleet(fordítási képességem, most bedöglött). Ennek a legkiválóbb pilótája, Anavel Gato AKA Salamon rémálma, behatolt a Federáció Torrington bázisába és ellopta egy nukleáris rakétát is hordozó Gundamet a GP02A Pysalist. Egy újonc pilóta Ensing Kou Uraki a másik prototípus Gundamet(GP01 Zephyranth) használva megy visszaszerezni az ellopott MS-et, mielőtt egy újabb háború tör ki. Ebben segít az Albion fedélzet tagjai is.

Na ez elméletileg a Zeta előzménye akar lenni. Ebben korrekt munkát végez. Viszont én egy csöppet unalmasnak éreztem a cselekményt. Azt furcsállom, hogy az első sorozat szereplői, akik benne vannak a Zetaban, miért nincsenek itt? Hát ez van, ha egy előzmény utólag készül. A szerelmi szálat erőltettetnek éreztem. De ettől függetlenül a sztori decens és nincsen filler rész.

A karakterekkel már problémáink vannak. Laposak és nem valami emlékezetesek. Csak a főszereplő karakter megy fejlődésen keresztül. Ez viszonylag kár, mert a franchise képes emlékezetes karaktereket produkálni. Vajon mi történt itt?

Csaták tipikus Gundam akciót képviselik. És megint nem rosszak, de itt valahogy kevésbé érdekeltek, mint a többinél. Bár itt nincs olyan emlékezetes csata, mint a többinél.Úgy tűnik, hogy a robot akciót néha én is unalmasnak találom!:)

Tálalás: A korához képest, jól néz ki, meg a mecha dizájn is jó. Az OST sajnos megint felejtős, viszont az angol szinkront kifejezetten jónak találtam. Az első OP király, a második nem annyira, az ED-ek hidegen hagytak.

Végszó: Aranyos, hogy a Sunrise egy prequel sorozatot, akart csinálni utólag a Zetahoz, de a végeredmény talán nem lett olyan jó. De koránt sem jelenti, hogy rossz. Ez is nézhető és el lehet szórakozni rajta, de az eredetihez, 0080-hoz és jelenlegi kedvencemnél a The 08TH MS Team-nél alul marad. Bár amúgy is megakarod nézni, ha nagy Gundam fan vagy, van pár érdekes sztori infó.

I understand the well-meaning intentions of those who say that health care is, and should be, a right. However, a right is an entitlement. How can you be entitled to the work of a doctor, a nurse, or any other health professional, as a matter of birth?

If health care truly was a right, then that was quite the oversight by the Founding Fathers of the United States, in not including it in the Bill of Rights in 1789. But it wasn’t an oversight. They recognized that it wasn’t a right.

The consequence of recognizing that health care is not a right, I believe, is to put the focus back where it properly belongs, as to who is ultimately responsible for their own health — the individual. There are those who are unable to properly care for themselves, as there has been since the dawn of time. Those people should be appropriately cared for, as matter of public interest, not as a matter of right, as well as all others. But just because it’s in the public interest to take care of all individuals, doesn’t make it a right, nor necessitate the method of care.

These days, health care is often taken to mean expensive diagnostic equipment, treatment with expensive drugs, expensive private health care plans with high overhead, and unsustainable government health plans, such as Medicare, which, as I previously documented, cost 744% more by 1990 than previously estimated at its inception, in 1965.

Modern health care has regressed from the basic principles of the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, who stated: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.“

Instead of a proactive, preventative approach to health by the individual, the focus has regressed to a  reactive, expensive third-party approach, and this must change.

Ice MC! Hahaha!!! Jag hade glömt bort att man lyssnade på det här…. letade egentligen efter en helt annan låt men sprang på den här gamla godingen så jag var bara tvungen att lägga upp den….

Egentligen var det den här låten jag letade efter. Har ett minne av att jag hade den på mitt “favvoband”… minns några av kändisnamnen han “sjunger” i låten och har letat efter låten i flera år! NU äntligen hittade jag den! I mitt minne var det en skitbra låt. Jag tyckte verkligen det!! hahaha! Tänk vad smaken kan förändras!!

Året var 1990. Båda dessa låtar fanns på favoritkassetbandet som gick hett i freestylen… det var tider det….
