Mazda confirmed today at a dealers meeting in Palm Springs that it will bring its subcompact Mazda 2 hatchback to the United States in late 2010. That’s only a couple months behind the Ford Fiesta, with which the 2011 Mazda 2 shares its basic platform architecture.

We’ll get a look at the U.S.-spec Mazda 2 in early December when it debuts at the 2009 L.A. Auto Show. Mazda says it will get more specific about on-sale timing, pricing, specs and equipment at the show.

We don’t yet know whether we will get the five-door Mazda 2 unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show, the three-door version unveiled last year, or both. Either way, we’ll be getting a car that has won numerous awards in Europe and Japan. Lightweight construction is often cited as the key advantage of the Mazda 2 over other subcompacts. Company engineers put considerable emphasis on cutting weight (without compromising safety) to improve fuel efficiency and performance.

“You’ve asked us for it for a while now, and we’ve been studying the market to make sure we can make a business case for it across North America,” Jim O’Sullivan, Mazda North American Operations’ president and CEO, told the assembled dealers.  “As consumers’ tastes and attitudes toward small vehicles have changed, we now believe strongly there is a place in our lineup for a car below our current least-expensive car, the Mazda 3.”

Mẹ Puppy xin tổng kết ngày 20/11 vừa rồi như sau:

 Được sự đồng ý của các mẹ và được mẹ Cún chỉ bảo , sau rất nhiều disconnect và liên lạc hỗn loạn thì mẹ Puppy cũng đã bò lên đến được 18 Hàng Da để mua cho hai cô được 2 cái khăn (mà theo nhận định của mẹ Nga là) Nhật xịn. Khăn của cô Chín rất to, xì tai của Chanel, rất mềm, rộng, ấm áp, màu xanh đen và lá cây, mẹ Puppy choàng thử lên cổ thì trông rất Tây, nếu có 1 cái y chang thế chắc chắn mẹ Puppy cũng sắm một cái. Khăn của cô Phương thì mềm mỏng như lụa và có hình hoa nhẹ nhàng bay bướm mượt mà rất đẹp . Hy vọng các mẹ sẽ có dịp gặp hai cô quàng khăn ở trường.

Mẹ Puppy lượn qua Phạm Ngọc Thạch mua một cái bánh KAOLE tặng chung cho các cô ở trường KAOLA , sau đó quay về Láng Hạ mua 3 bó hoa địa lan màu cà phê và màu vàng để tặng cho 2 cô và cho văn phòng. Mẹ Puppy và con đến trường lúc 10h30, đi thẳng vào văn phòng trường tặng cho cô Lê Anh và cô Phương, mẹ Puppy nói đây là quà của các mẹ lớp BHP.

Buổi chiều mẹ Cún, mẹ Hà Phương và mẹ Puppy 4h có mặt ở trường. Mẹ Hà Phương đến sớm phải đứng chờ một lúc ngoài cổng. Đến cổng mẹ Puppy cụng trán bố con nhà Cún đang ríu rít cùng bà nội lên xe. Cún nhanh nhảu bảo mẹ Nga con sắp đến đấy (chả hiểu sao con nắm tài thế, cái gì con cũng biết hết). Ba mẹ vào lớp nói chuyện rất vui với các cô, toàn chuyện vô tiền khoáng hậu, mẹ Cún và mẹ Hà Phương vào đây kể thêm nhé.

Tổng kết kinh phí ngày 20/11 như sau: – 2 khăn của 2 cô: 800k – 3 bó hoa: 700k – 1 bánh gato: 170k – Gói quà: 45k Vị chi là: 1,715k Mẹ Cún, mẹ Hà Phương và Mẹ Puppy bàn sơ qua lúc đứng ở sân trường là mặc dù “câu lạc bộ” phụ huynh của chúng ta chỉ có 7 mẹ, và chúng ta tạm thời failed trong việc thành lập Ban phụ huynh, nhưng chúng ta sẽ cố gắng tổ chức sinh nhật cho tất cả các con đầy đủ và các sự kiện (nếu có) tổ chức sẽ là dành cho tất cả các con, chúng ta sẽ chủ động làm trước và rất có thể các phụ huynh khác sẽ để tâm tới sau.

Trong năm chúng ta có 15 sinh nhật (vừa thêm bạn Dế Mèn), sinh nhật mỗi con các mẹ sẽ mua một món quà là đồ chơi, quần áo hoặc sách vở (tạm đề xuất) trị giá 200k.

Như vậy chi phí cho sinh nhật là 3,000k/năm.

Ngoài ra là các dịp:

- Tết dương lịch và Giáng sinh (tổ chức event nho nhỏ cho các con, event tổng chi phí hết 1,000k)

Tổng cộng (gồm cả 20/11 vừa rồi) là: 8,715k/năm = 1,245k/mẹ (7 mẹ)

Tạm thời như thế đã các mẹ nhé, một năm nếu mình tổ chức được từ 1 – 2 event nho nhỏ cho các con vui chơi thì tốt, các mẹ cho ý kiến và lên chi phí riêng cho các event này sau nhé.

Mẹ Puppy bận quá nên tranh thủ viết một lèo, hơi lộn xộn, các mẹ chịu khó đọc nhé.

Terwijl kunstenaar Ineke Kanters een beeld maakt van Geert, wil schrijfster en theatermaakster Nilgün Yerli Geert Wilders dinsdag bedelven onder bossen bloemen en brieven van moslimstudenten.

Kunstenaar Ineke Kanters heeft het beeldje zondag geplaatst. „De tijd lost alles op, is de titel van het werk”, vertelde Kanters maandag.  „Het smeltende beeld moet verbeelden dat Wilders met de tijd kleiner zal worden.”

Volgens Kanters is het beeldje slechts een expressie van de dingen die om haar heen gebeuren. ,,De sfeer rond Wilders is al zo grimmig en ik wilde hem juist met zachtaardige humor benaderen.”

De cabaretière Nilgün Yerli van Turkse afkomst hoopt dat de bloemenactie een ”liefdevolle reactie” uitlokt. ,,Ik wil Geert laten weten dat ik met hem meevoel, dat ik begrijp dat hij zich in een positie heeft gemanoeuvreerd waarin hij moet provoceren om te blijven bestaan.

De man is totaal verhard in zijn standpunten. Hij praat over een maatschappij waarin hij niet meer leeft. Maar misschien roept de liefde de zachtheid in hem wel weer op”, schrijft Yerli. Het ”vertederingsoffensief” moet volgens haar ook de welwillende moslims in Nederland een hart onder de riem steken.

Echter de PVV-leider moet niets hebben van de bloemen van schrijfster Nilgün Yerli. ‘Laat haar die bloemen maar naar een verzorgingshuis brengen of zo’

Oprah Winfrey recently announced she will end her daytime talk show in 2011 to reappear on the Oprah Winfrey Network – her OWN cable company.

Winfrey made the decision because there were more and more viewers watching less and less of network television and she saw her audience dwindling.  In short, there are just too many choices too many other places.

With a station devoted solely to Oprah, what can we expect?  24-hour programming of Oprah-deemed-worthy movies and books?  Is O-TV the new Lifetime or Oxygen? 

The Blockbuster movie 2012 is a huge hit in theaters, and when you think about the behaviour of mankind in these days, as millions are destroyed from a food, medical and government three-headed monster that promotes toxic food and remedies that create more disease, when we think about the millions of babies murdered for convenience, we can have some inkling that judgment day is not too far away. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but it dosent drive me crazy like past BMWs.

BMW has just revealed the first official details of its all-new 2011 BMW 5 Series. With the longest wheelbase in the segment — the sedan shares its architecture with the 7 Series — the new 5 Series boasts a host of BMW’s latest efficiency, safety, and performance technology.

Two direct-injected powertrains are available at launch for the U.S. The first, in the 550i, is a twin-turbo “reverse-flow” V-8, which makes 400-hp. And while the previous 535i used a twin-turbo inline-six, the new generation employs a single-turbocharger. Output, at 300-hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, hasn’t changed, but the setup allows BMW to place the snail closer to the catalytic converter, which makes for quicker light-off. Both engines are available with a six-speed manual, eight-speed automatic, or an eight-speed “Sport Automatic”. A naturally aspirated, 240-hp 528i will become available later.

In the name of efficiency, or in this case, EfficentDynamics, the 5 Series comes with brakes that recover energy, electric power steering, a shift indicator, active cooling air flaps, and accessory drives that operate on demand. BMW has also used lightweight materials throughout the 5 Series’ construction: the doors, hood, fenders, and suspension assemblies are aluminum.

Equipped with the Sport Package, the 5 Series comes with Adaptive Drive, a feature that combines dynamics control, damper control, and roll stabilization. BMW’s active steering system, which adjusts the steering ratio based on speed, is optional. The latest driver aids include parking assist top-view cameras, and a frontal collision warning system, which will automatically apply the brakes when optioned with active cruise control. Also available are Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, a heads-up display, and night vision that can detect pedestrians.

Both the 5 and 7 Series roll out of BMW’s Dingolfing plant in Bavaria, Germany. The new 5 Series is set to hit U.S. showrooms in June of 2010.

The recession is technically over and before long, companies might actually start frakkin’ hiring people for jobs again…that is, if this isn’t just a financial bubble prefacing a double-dip recession. Naked short-selling aside, the auto industry is reaching into the future with great abandon, apparently unconcerned enough with the shakiness of the recovery to pump out some new, interesting, and in some cases, downright spellbinding new cars, trucks, and what-have-you. There will be new marques to choose from, as well as new forms of power. Here are fifteen such vehicles I’ve selected that I’m looking forward to. Complications notwithstanding, all of these should be on the road in the next year or two, if they aren’t already.

1. Buick Regal - An old name gets slapped on a new, very German car that is gorgeous and may actually be fun to drive as well. Moreover, it apparently will be powered exclusively by four-bangers. Not only is a high-performance version possible, we may (fingers-crossed) even get a wagon version, which would be awesome and hilarious at the same time: Buick wants younger buyers, so is a relatively big FWD wagon the way to go? For me, maybe.

2. Cadillac CTS Coupe - The latest and perhaps best iteration yet of 21st Century Cadillac zaniness. Art + Science Fiction. And the first hard-roof coupe from Caddy in seventeen years. It looks like nothing else on the road and has that same concept car aura of the new Camaro. Because its a bit smaller than the sedan, it should be faster too…which brings me to the V-series version, which is also coming.

3. Chevy Cruze - Chevy wants a “flawless” unveiling for the replacement for the boring Cobalt and its clone, the Pontiac G5. Looks to get 40+mpg on the highway. GM going small and Direct Injection with engines. Forget the Volt, this thing is important. If Chevy can’t steal some sales away from the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla with this, all is for naught.

4. Ferrari 458 Italia – A new Ferrari is like a new American fighter jet – really expensive, unobtainable, and almost pointless even – the F450 hasn’t aged a day – but nevertheless more than welcome. It looks and sounds the business, and with tons of F1 tech in it, it will most certainly drive the business too.

5. Ford Fiesta - It’s coming. How much different it will look from the European one isn’t known, but Ford has been without a small car since the Kia-based Aspire, which was pathetic. The Fiesta hopefully begins a trend of “cheap but not rubbish” small cars by American carmakers (unlike the awful Chevy Aveo, the only subcompact any of the Detroit 3 currently sell.)

6. Fiat 500 - Fiat Group bought Chrysler, which is awesome because it means Italian cars that don’t cost six figures will again be sold here soon. In Europe, the 500 is extremely popular, and also re-skinned as a Ford Ka, but in America the Nuovo Topolino will be sold at Chrysler dealerships, giving that sinking ship a badly-needed small car. It should sell well to people who want a car that’s cheaper and cuter than a MINI and fresher and more fun than the aged VW New Beetle. Also, it’s Italian. ‘Nuff said.

7. Lexus LFA - The most interesting Lexus ever. Not saying much, but the amount of labor and attention to detail that went into this taut driving machine cannot be overlooked. Neither can the $375,000+ price tag. Lexus will still lose money on every one they sell. One of only two radial carbon fiber looms in the world weave the A-pillars together. A manically-anal-retentive gearhead’s wet dream, this.

8. Mahindra Pickup - This awkward, dowdy pickup will likely beat the Tata Nano as the first Indian vehicle sold in America. It runs on diesel engines, which I love, and is tough, durable, and no-nonsense (well, except the optional chrome grille.) It should also be cheap. Hopefully the government will permit their sale, because they can do the same farm and labor jobs as much larger American pickups but are far more fuel efficient and take up less space.

9. Mitsubishi Outlander - If there was a Comeback Crossover of the Year category, Outlander would win it hands down. While its European cousins the Peugeot 4008 and Citroen C-Crosser were brought to market with bold, in-your-face looks, The Mitsu was plainer than white bread, and more forgettable too. That ends immediately with a menacing new face with an Evo-inspired grille, more power, upscale-r interior, and very untrucklike road manners. In other words, it’s better in every way.

10. Nissan LEAF - Though being heralded with far less pomp and circumstance than Chevy’s $40,000, four-seat Volt, Nissan’s electric car for everyone will likely beat it to dealers. It also aims to be cheaper and more practical. But yes, it does somewhat resemble a parrotfish.

11. Saab 9-5 - The first all-new Saab seemingly ever, the new 9-5 flagship will go on sale when new sort-of owner Koenigsegg, figures out exactly how they’re going to make it. While there’s nothing groundbreaking here, the new 9-5 marks a return to more of that Saab quirkiness that was mostly lost during GM rule, when marketers thought comparing a TrailBlazer clone to a fighter jet would make people want to buy the 9-7x.

12. Scion iQ - While not a 100% sure thing, it is likely Toyota’s teeny-tiny iQ will come to America as a Scion, since they’d prefer young, hip people buy it than the average Toyota customer, who is about 75. While perhaps not as miniscule as a Smart, the iQ is better packaged, has at least one back seat, doesn’t look as stupid, carries Toyota’s vaunted reputation for quality along with it, and won’t be quite as overpriced. Hopefully its axles won’t rust away after three years!

13. Suzuki Kisashi – Suzuki’s had a bit of a raw deal in the U.S. as purveyors of stretched Equinox clones and dull-as-paste, chintzy Daewoos. The homebuilt SX4 shook things up, being the cheapest AWD car as well as the cheapest with satnav standard. They take it up a notchwith the very Japanesey Kisashi, a smart, Jetta-sized sedan that bucks the more-is-more trend and goes instead for driver involvement and all-around quality. Suzuki’s marketing sucks, but hopefully this will sell well, because it looks to be a fine car and a bargain to boot.

14. Toyota/Subaru Compact Sports Coupe - Pretty much nobody needs a sporty coupe more than Toyota, except for maybe Subaru, so the two decided to save some time and develop one jointly. I’m looking forward to their final results. So far we’ve only seen the Toyota version in concept form (and monkey-butt red metallic paint.) The Subaru will likely be larger and of course feature standard AWD. The last Subaru coupe was the epic-but-pricey SVX, while Toyota’s Celica died a slow death. Here’s hoping they have better luck with what will be far superior machines.

15. VW Golf TDI - What was the Rabbit became the Golf then the Rabbit again and now the Golf again. Golf Mark VI is more refined and mature Golf ever, and so is the TDI’s diesel engine. Not only that, the TDI is fun. Fun to dart around in. Which means even if you have to drive a little further to find a diesel pump, you’ll be grateful. And it gets 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. The Mercedes SLS AMG.

De spagaat van Wilders ??

22.11.09   Als bekwaam organisator wist Geert  in een korte tijd een kruiwagen met kwakende kikkers om te vormen tot een inmiddels geduchte beweging.

Maar wat is de houdbaarheidsdatum van de PVV als een niet-democratisch alternatief?  Hoe staat het met de kracht van herhaling bij de PVV. En hoe staat het met hun hooggestemde partij-idealen.  Maar wellicht kunnen de idealisten van de PVV beter eerst inburgeren.

Waar bleven trouwens al die PVVérs tijdens die AOW-67 demonstratie ??  Geert Wilders was toch ook zo uitgebreid tegen !! ??
