So I’m sitting in my room, with my Snuggie, on my computer, and for the first time all day I feel…safe. Safe from piercing eyes of peers, reckless drivers, robbers, my mom, the light, the darkness…everything. Just me and my Snuggie.

First off, I’d like to thank all those who read my blog everyday, it really means alot to me.

So, is anyone else excited for the Princess and the Frog movie? I AM!! Disney’s first black princess will be introduced to the world on November25th! Her name is Tiana! Kinda like my name…hmm. I wish I was Tiana, and turned into a frog, then I could just sit on my lily pad, and be…safe. I could stare into the water and look at my reflection, and say…what’s wrong with you? I could dive into the water, and push and push and push and end up in waters in another city, state, i country. Oh, to be a frog, wouldn’t that be nice.

I broke my vow to myself last night, and I feel like shit. I called him…I went 24 hours, 36, easy…..40….42…couldn’t do it. It didn’t go so well, as you can imagine… I still love him. This is a matter or love, not self control. I deleted his number from my phone but everytime I reach for my phone it happened. 1…7…0..7. What bothers be the most I guess is the answering part. I am so happy when he does answer then I hear a stern “Hello”, and my heart drops to the pits of my tummy. For some reason I was half expecting to hear “Hi honey”…but that’s not how break-up’s work, i guess. I always lose my train of thought when that registers, and I say I have to call him back…and I gather myself and call him back. Idk, he told me not to contact him until he contacts me. Is it just me….or….well you know in movies when people don’t like people so their like “don’t call me, I’ll call you” and they really have no intentions of calling, ever? Welp. I guess I’ll see, the waiting isn’t the hard part, I’ll wait as long as it takes, the restraint to call is the issue here.

So I got a new car today, Nissan 350z, looks interesting since the top hood is a different color then the rest of the car, but I guess it’ll get fixed. I also bought a motorcycle today. Kind of out of false hope, that “GUY” will eventually forgive me. He said he wanted a motorcycle and my friends dad was selling his CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, so i invested. For now it will wait as long as I have to for him…Is that creepy of me…idk, maybe it is.

I’m tired and I haven’t been online all day, so I’m gonna check all my online stuff email facebook myspace etc.

I’ll probably blog it up later….

Well.

“24 Week” concludes a day late as we examine the Five Craziest Things Jack Bauer Has Ever Done.

This subject matter could have been an entire week in itself – but I’m going to attempt to condense it down to five glorious moments.

Enjoy, and as always, beware of spoilers.

Five: Jack goes all “Lost Boys” on some dude’s neck. (Season Six.)

As much as I hate to repeat myself, I must reiterate – Season Six sucked. It was just flat-out not very good, save for a few key moments.

This, was one of them.

Jack Bauer had gotten himself into another hairy situation, as only Jack Bauer can seem to do. Tied to a chair, with no weapons or even the use of his hands, Jack found himself at the mercy of some terrorist scum with no chance of getting the upper hand, leaving us all waiting breathlessly to see how he was going to weasel himself out of -

HE JUST BIT THE DUDE’S NECK.

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing Jack Bauer take a literal “bite out of crime” and then angrily spit out a bloody chunk of neck.

Jack Bauer is awesome.

Four: Jack goes all “Matrix” on some other dude’s neck. (Season Two.)

For those of you who are unfamiliar with “24″ and the character of Jack Bauer, allow me to let you in on a little secret: Jack Bauer hates necks. Passionately. And, more often than not, violently. His weapon of choice seems to be his deadly thighs, which he uses to gleefully snap terrorist vertebrae on a daily basis. This time, though, he took it up a notch, allowing his destructive upper legs a bit of a breather, and opted for a more straight-forwardly awesome neck-crunching super move.

By the end of Day Two, Jack had had enough. He was a tired, broken man, who’s sanity was being slowly depleted, which was of course pushing his violent streak to the max – because that’s how this shit works. It’s science.

Faced with another in a long line of terrorist douchebags, Jack executed a stunning moment of “wtf just happened,” by launching himself at the dude’s neck, running “Matrix-style” up a wall, and breaking said neck in one fluid move of beauty, grace and bloodlust.

It. Was…..killer? *snicker.*

Three: “Get me a hacksaw.” (Season Two.)

Jack was a broken man at the beginning of Season Two as well. After the events of Season One – the murder of his wife, and all – he had kind of given up on, well, everything. The only thing that seemed to matter to him anymore was his job – which on paper was “to protect the country from international terrorists,” but in Jack’s head was something more along the lines of “let’s mess these dicks up hardcore.”

And with that thought in mind, the only realistic evolution from killing an unarmed drug dealer, was to than proceed to cut off that drug dealers head with a hacksaw, to use it as a message or a warning or something towards other drug dealers.

It wasn’t the last time we’d all start to worry about Jack, but it may have been the first.

Two: Jack Bauer almost crashes a plane with his bare hands. (Season Five.)

Not content with the usual collateral damage he’s capable of, Jack Bauer decided to step it up a bit by endangering the lives of an entire plane full of innocent people. Never mind what he was doing on the plane (I can’t remember) or why he decided it was imperative to take matters into his own ands and crash a damn plane (I don’t care) the fact remains – Jack Bauer almost crashed a plane. With his bare hands.

Had he been on the upper deck when the urge to terrify the shit out of 200+ strangers hit him, I’m sure he would have blasted his way into the cockpit and tortured orderd the pilots to bring that bitch down. But he wasn’t; instead, he was locked in the cargo area, and had to get creative with his destructive tendancies.

So he opened up some panels, grabbed a few handfuls of wires or something, and started crashing the plane from there – with his bare hands.

Whatever, though. It worked, and they eventually let him out of there, to continue terrorizing terrorists and civilians alike, because he’s Jack Bauer, and that’s what he does, and besides it’s a little late to get that Creative Writing degree now.

One: “I’m sorry we let you down, Ryan. God forgive me.” (Season Three.)

In Jack’s defense, the terrifying pain and death he doles out on a daily hourly basis, is usually reserved soley for terrorists, criminals and generally bad people. Then came Ryan Chappelle, and we didn’t know what the hell to think about Jack anymore.

Chappelle was alwasy kind of a douche, but he was s douche who meant well, so I guess that’s okay. He certainly didn’t deserve to be shot in the back of the head executioner style by some dude who worked for him on the side of good, is all I’m saying.

But that’s exactly what happened, at the behest of some terrorist mastermind who wanted Ryan dead for some reason. The president assigned Jack to the task, because Jack gets shit done, and off they went to the trainyards to engage in some light bonding and murder.

In all seriousness, it really is one of the show’s best scenes. We realize that Chappelle, despite being a tight-ass and constantly at odds with the other agents, is a good man who was just trying to do his job correctly. He had no friends; just a brother he barely spoke to. He had no one to talk to before the bullet entered his brain, and that somehow made it more difficult to watch. He didn’t deserve this ignoble death, and Jack didn’t deserve to be the one to administer it.

But that’s how it went down anyway.

Well.

That’s it for “24 Week.” Join us this week as we…I dunno. Do something different.

BEEP-BOOP-BEEP-BOOP.

Oh, and as an added bonus…here’s a sweet montage of Bauer related carnage for you.

Kim Raver: He trabajado mucho con Eric Dane y Jessica Capshaw. Este grupo es genial. Tienen algo especial.

No.

It’s official, I have made it 24 hours without calling him. I am proud of myself. It may not seem like much, but the smallest steps result in big payoff. Now, I’ll just take it one day at a time, and its hard…but I’m gonna do it. I think that getting over anything whether it be a person, a failure, or anything takes perseverance and patience. Which are both things that I do not have. But I’m trying, I really am.

Today, I woke up and went to get my car washed, now it’s all clean! I have kind of alot of things to do today. Vacuum, dust, clean in general. I wanted to get my nails done, but remember how I told you about my picking thing… Over the past week, since the whole break-up I’ve been gnawing at my nails how their cracked and gross and I don’t know how I feel about the nail people putting chemicals and stuff on them, I don’t want it to burn.

Now about Precious, I think it was a good movie. Really, really, I mean really sad though. It’s like everytime you think that she might succeed or be happy something else comes crashing down. What it did make me think about is that there’s so many other people who’s lives are more fucked up than mine, and I should just shake it off. Shake it off…speaking of that, Mariah Carey was in it, she was a social worker and she looked really different, not glammed up, she has murky brown hair…but she looks pretty. Paula Patton was really good in it. I think if any one deserves to win a Oscar for this movie it should be Mo’Nique or Gabourey, the girl who plays precious. GREAT performances by both of them. Also previews for Why Did I Get Married Too, Tyler Perry movie, April 2010. It has Janet Jackson in it, she was really good in Why Did I Get Married, the first one. Anyways, I’d advise you all to go see Precious, the movie shows alot about human capacity.

I think I shall go continue my chores, I will blog later. Oh and if you live in SoCal, time to bundle up, its getting cold out there.

Thanks for reading guys.

24 – 1×01: venga… ¡Round Two!

Me gusta.

How I Meet Your Mother – 5×07: ¡Por fin! Barney’s Back!!!!

Inquietante, ¿verdad?

In an effort to further qualify and look back with nostalgia ten years in the future, I am going to try to post blogs more often from now on.

Starting with some general updates –> My camp Kesem interview was last week, and that I would say, went quite well. Hopefully the ends won’t result in rejection, because I don’t know if I can cope with anymore of that this year!

Anywayyyyyyy, here’s a mini update:

Monday (11/09): I finished my HIstory essay this day!

Tuesday (11/10): Phil’s BBQ. Yummmm to Ribs. And then Mario Party for the first time. Might I point out that I beat John Torres? haha.

Wednesday (11/11). Paw Retreat. This was fun! There was a scavenger hunt, free food… etc. It was Veterans’ Day so we go the entire day off. Also, me and Jennifer Klage bonded over 24, the best damn show on television! I became known as the “glee” guy within the organization… we played lots of games that involved bananas, hot lava, etc… We got to draw pictures to describe ourselves… And we found out what kind of people we were (orange, blue, gold, green). I’m apparently blue, which makes sense considering my predicament. bahah. I almost lost my jacket too, thank goodness I didn’t though! And then I went to eat Pho! AND THEN Glee was on After. Hoorah!

Thursday (11/12): Howard’s Birthday was that day so went to BJ’s and I got a Calzone. They were small and tiny, unlike….

Friday (11/13): I stayed up quite late playing some video games and working on a project.

Saturday (11/14): Um. Everything from Friday the 13th to this day lasted overnight –> Mario Party, Mario Cart, Bang, & Monopoly. Oh, what a night. Oh, and I went to Geisel.

Sunday (11/15): Church Tomorrow? Who knows. Oh, and I have to start practicing for open-mic night potentially with Tyler.

& That’s a wrap! I register for classes on Tuesday, Glee on Wednesday, and then 24 returns with a 2-night 4-hour season premiere Sunday January 17th, and Monday January 18th (MLK Day) only on FOX.

Ooops, I didn’t get round to writing last week’s update so this is a special double edition – twice the list fun for your money!

It’s been a fortnight of almosts; I almost managed to give blood but they didn’t have any spare appointments (honestly! That’s not just an excuse!), I almost wore a poppy for Remembrance Sunday but it fell off my coat last Saturday night and I almost wore another pair of shoes but the near-constant rain meant they weren’t a practical choice.

To make sure I manage to complete more things and don’t get stuck with almosts I’ve been working through my list to work out which things I can get on with and which ones are meant for later in the year.

I have managed to tick off a few things from the list, watch out for more updates coming this week (don’t forget you can subscribe so you don’t miss anything) and I’ve added an ‘about me‘ page to my blog so you can find out, er, about me.

It’s been a bit quiet around here over the last week or so as I’ve been super busy and feeling a bit under the weather so no graph this week (sorry graph fans). Instead, take a look at this cool pic I made at wordle.com that shows the most common words I’ve used here recently, dominated by my recent flurry of National Trust posts …

Lost (Perdidos).

The Sopranos (Los Soprano).

ER (Urgencias).

Dallas.

Desperate Housewives (Mujeres desesperadas)

The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

The Cosby Show (El show de Billy Cosby).

Glee.

24

The O.C.

¿falta alguna serie? ¿cuál?

Californication

Prison Break

Top Gear

Family Guy

Dawsons Creek

Hvis du har sett halvparten av disse seriene så ser du kanskje et mønster. Jeg ser på det jeg finner appelerende for min smak. Humor messig må det for eksempel være ekstraordinært samt “smart” humor. Kan innrømme at Family Guy humoren er en dum humor, men den er “dumsmart” hvis du skjønner. Men ta foreksempel Alan Shore i Boston Legal, alltid vittige meninger;

You know I’m not about to go to Texas and not ride the mechanical bull, Chelina. That would be like going to Los Angeles and not sleeping with Paris Hilton.

None of Rick’s three former wives (Juliette, Franka and Millie) were mentioned in the will. Rick also made arrangements in the will for ‘a really good party’ to be held for his friends – putting aside £20,000 with a guest list to be drawn up by James and Gala. They were also left their father’s house in Le Rouret, in south east France. Gala also inherited Rick’s prized Aston Martin DB5, and he left his cherished Bosendorfer piano to his son-in-law bassist Guy Pratt. The moral rights to his musical, literary and performance work were left to his children. (Pictured, Rick with former wife Millie & son Ben in happier times).

David Gilmour In Recording Studio? Alex Paterson from electronic music group The Orb, in a statement to The List said ‘I’ve just started work on an album with David Gilmore from Pink Floyd which I think every Orb and Pink Floyd fan will want to hear.’ Our investigations continue! UPDATE: David’s official site has announced that David has done some recording with The Orb and producer Youth, inspired initially by the plight of Gary McKinnon. They say that nothing is finalised, and nothing has been confirmed with regards to any structure for the recordings or firm details regarding any release plans.

Alrighty then, here are my list of ideas for episodes of 24. I got the idea for this post while I was lining up in McDonalds and it took me 20 minutes before I got to order. I thought “Gee this would make a great episode of 24″ so the rest writes itself.

Here is my list of ideas:

1. They spend the whole episode stuck in a cue in McDonald’s because they decide to get a quick snack

2. They go on a mystery tour, we spend the whole episode wondering where they will end up

3. One of the cast members goes on Big Brother, and we spend the whole episode in the house

4. Someones car runs out of fuel in the middle of the Australian Outback, and spends the whole episode trying to get to civilization

5. They spend the whole episode going on a football trip and sing “1,000,000 bottles of beer on the wall” there and back

6. Someone decides they need a holiday so they spend the whole episode taking their mother-in-law to the airport

7. They go on the search for Osama Bin Laden

8. They phone for pizza and spend the whole episode waiting for it

9. The call some company on the phone as they were overcharged on phone bill and spend the whole episode on hold

10. They spend the whole episode reading “War and Peace” or “Moby Dick”

11. Someone could go on a spending spree and spend the whole episode buying useless merchandise

12. They spend the whole episode playing Monopoly

13. They spend the whole episode at the doctors and when consulted they are told its all in their head and they should go home

14. The spend the whole episode at the dentists because of the McDonald’s they ate (See #1)

15. They spend the episode playing chess, but the both players think that its their opponents turn so they wait

16. They spend the whole episode waiting for a bus except they realise that the bus doesn’t go past on that particular day because its a public holiday

17. They spend the whole episode drinking a cup of coffee… Hey if it works for soap operas it should work for the show!

18. They decide to go running for no apparent reason across the U.S (if it works for Forest Gump, it should work for them)

19. They turn into mimes and spend the whole episode getting out of a glass box

20. They decide to go around trying to sell 200,000 boxes of girl scout cookies for their camping trip

21. They get lost trying to find their way to Wally World when they decide to take a ’short cut’

22. They spend the whole episode trying to track down Santa because they didn’t get what they wanted for Christmas

23. They spend the whole episode stuck on a ride at a carnival

24. They spend the whole episode looking for their friends because they are playing hide and seek

25. They spend the whole episode trying to find out ‘Who Killed Kenny’

26. They spend the whole episode trying to find out who shot Mr Burns

27. The spend the whole episode trying to find out who shot J.R (Note: if # 25, #26, #27 was actually aired on TV then they could release it as a pack on DVD or VHS and call it the “Trigger Happy 24 pack” or something to that effect!)

28. Someone gets abducted by aliens and they spend the episode bringing them back! (Could star Men In Black or the X-Files. Maybe even the cast from CSI if they do an autopsy, and then Law & Order to prosicute the aliens)

29. One of the cast members spends the whole time creating a blog about themselves (Hey, wait a minute – That sounds like me!)

Ok, it’s your turn….

In no particular order I will reveal to all of you five television shows that I believe are GREAT! I

In no particular order I will reveal to all of you five television shows that I believe are GREAT! I have thought diligently about this for a few days and I believe I have devised a list of shows that I could watch on loop the rest of my life and be totally content. Now this list might be skewed a bit because I didn’t take into account older shows. This is not meaning I am not a fan of older shows. I love older shows! The Andy Griffith Show, Murder She Wrote, and Momma’s Family are shows that tickle my tummy every time I see them on TV, but for this list I wanted recent shows that were BOMB! So read and learn your role!

Seinfeld – This show was a constant in my life for years. I remember begging my parents to let me stay up just a little bit past nine so I could catch the rerun of that nights Seinfeld. The story lines were so absurd, but yet you thought your life was the model for the show. “The show about nothing” was the whole concept of Seinfeld and it really was. When I think about it now I realize how genius the show actually was. You can buy all seasons on DVD and I promise it would be worth it.

24 – Two words, one man, Jack Bauer! If you ever pondered what can one man do to help save the world? Well use Jack Bauer as your model. I have seen Jack Bauer bite a Chinese man’s jugular out to escape from a prison camp. I have seen Jack Bauer die and come back to life. He is not human, he is my model American citizen. When I’m in a hairy situation I will honestly sit and think to myself, “What would Jack Bauer do?”, I really do that! If I could either have any superpower or be Jack Bauer I would chose to be Jack Bauer. The new season will be on FOX next year… I’m pumped!

Arrested Development – If there were ever a show that was ahead of its time it was this show. I watched the pilot episode on my 13 inch TV in my room when I was in middle school, and I never missed an episode for the three seasons it was out. Back then I didn’t get all the innuendos and jokes, but now that I am older I catch it all, and hilarious. Micheal Cera is in it, and I know some of you out there are just in love with his awkwardness. Season 2 is my favorite FYI.

The Office – The show is just a snapshot of our generation. This show will probably define us when vh1 puts out I love 2000.

Curb your Enthusiasm – I started with a show created by Larry David and I will end with a show created by Larry David. Curb your Enthusiasm is the R-rated version of Seinfeld. It airs on HBO Sunday nights. Have you ever watched HBO’s Sunday night line up? It is amazing. The show is about nothing just like Seinfeld, Larry David plays a producer and just runs into a whole mess of problems that would never happen to you and I.

So when you have a free moment go rent or buy a season of one of these shows. I promise you that you will be left wanting more. Hope everyone is having a zippity-do-da week and I lurve you all!

Well.

Two more days to endure of “24″ week!

DEAL WITH IT.

Today we examine the individual seasons of “24,” ranked from of course worst to best. There have been seven seasons of the show so far, but as I already ranted about my displeasure at Season Six yesterday, I’ve decided to move on and leave it off today’s list.

Rest assured though, that if it was on here…it would be last.

Dead last.

Six: Season Four.

Despite the rampant awesomeness of having the mummy as the main villain, Season Four couldn’t really live up to any of it’s expectations. Ridiculous terrorist plot after ridiculous terrorist plot kept elevating the threat to mammothly outlandish proportions. By the end, I wasn’t really sure what the hell was going on. Marwan (the mummy) while a pretty badass villain had way to many contingency/escape plans. It was just poor writing. Everytime the authorities would close in on him, ready to foil whatever act of terror he was planning to unleash, he would conveniantly escape through a back exit/staircase/trick ladder, ready to start a new, bigger, better plan.

It just got to be a bit too much.

Oh…and, also…I may be wrong on this, but I think this may be the only season of the show where a major character isn’t killed off.

Highlights: Jack’s videogame-like assault on a terrorist headquarters; the surprise re-emergence of Tony; the mummy.

Five: Season Three.

Season Three started off pretty well. In an effort to infiltrate a drug cartel, Jack got himself addicted to heroin. He also got himself a new partner, in the form of hunky Chase Edmunds. It’s usually a bad sign when a series adds a young partner like that, but Chase was surprisingly solid. He was an adequate foil for Jack, and I genuinely would have liked to see more of him.

The villains this season were an interesting affair, beginning with the delightfully charming Salazar brothers and ending with the delightfully British Stephen Saunders – who had amazing potential but was, naturally, pretty much wasted.

The season revolved around some virus with the capacity to kill the whole world or something, and CTU’s efforts to stop it. It also featured the emergence of fan favorite Chloe O’Brien, an interesting (and first of many) twist on the tired mole cliche, and Jack, as always, confronting his personal demons.

At some point Tony also got shot in the neck, but was on his feet glowering and barking orders a few hours later. He’s a trooper, that guy!

Highlights: Michelle gets tough in a hotel; Sherry dies (finally.); Chloe makes her first appearance; Jack plays a game of Russian Roulette; Jack kills Chappelle; Jack kills Nina; Jack doesn’t kill the main villain. (Actually, that was kind of lame.)

Four: Season One.

This is where it all began, seven or so odd years ago. (Which is like nineteen in the “24″ world.) We’re introduced to the greatest hero of all time, his annoying family, and the Counter Terrorist Unit – all tropes that would become, more or less, series staples until the Seventh Season.

It was at times meandering, at times inane (especially whilst covering whatever shenanigans Kim and Teri had gotten themselves into) and at times overstayed it’s welcome.

Still, it had it’s moments – including a scenery-chewing, bizarrely accented Dennis Hopper as the main villain, and the final scene.

Also, Lou Diamond Phillips showed up near the end for some reason – and that alone puts it higher on this list.

Highlights: We meet JACK BAUER; Nina was weirdly attractive; Dennis Hopper’s accent; Lou Diamond Phillips.

Three: Season Seven.

This should have been it. From the outset, Season Seven sounded like it might just be the be-all-end-all of “24″ seasons. And while it didn’t quite make it that far, it came damn close.

This is what we knew initially: for one thing, Season Seven would be the first season of “24″ to leave Los Angeles, the city that had endured terrorists wrath for six years. That was pretty big. Then, we found out that CTU was being done away with as well – in favour of the Effa Bee Eye, in Washington, D.C.

Then we got wind of the sexy new partner for Jack – the beautiful (but deadly!) Agent Renee Walker, played by the talented (but deadly!) Annie Wershing. Add to that a villain played by acadamy award winner Jon Voight, and another bad guy played by the always dependable B-movie star Tony Todd, and brotha, you got a stew going.

Then came the biggest news of all – Tony Almeida would be returning from the dead somehow as Jack’s newest adversary. Saint’s alive!

And, for good measure, it was coming off the heels of the worst season in the shows history. Not a tough act to follow.

While this all sounds epic to the max on paper, it faltered a bit in execution. It was still one of the strongest seasons of the show, with some great thrills, scenes, acting, characters and guest stars. Plus, it pretty much completely did away with the core “24″ cast (or what was left of it) and gave us dozens of new characters – the strongest of which may have been the new president in the “24″ universe, Allison Taylor played by Cherry Jones. (Jones would win an Emmy that year for her portrayal of the strong-willed Taylor.)

Good, maybe even great, but it could have been better…nitpicking, sure, but too many twists and some truly insipid character motivations didn’t help, either – like the amazing flip-flopping Almeida. Even by the end, I don’t really know if he was good, or evil, or what.

Janene Garafalo showed up this season for some reason as well. That didn’t help, either.

Highlights: Jon Voight; Jack’s fight with henchman Quinn; Senator Red Foreman; Bill’s sacrifice; Aaron Pierce and Ethan Kanin’s Hardy Boys Mysteries subplot; Renee Walker.

Two: Season Two.

Jack Bauer was a pretty broken man coming into the show’s second season. After the death of his wife, he kind of went off the rails a bit – which turned out to be entertaining as hell for the viewer.

Season Two revolved around an impending nuclear attack on Los Angeles, organized by a Middle Eastern terrorist cell – manipulated by wealthy American businessmen led by Peter Kingsley (the dude from “Saw.”)

It was one of the more intense seasons of the show, with very few useless subplots (though there may have been something with a cougar…dammit, Kim!) and some great action – including a bombing at CTU.

It also featured a heroic and dramatic sendoff for George Mason, Jack’s boss for the first few seasons. Although kind of a douche, George redeemed himself this season and became a fan favorite because of it.

Highlights: Kate Warner; Jack’s infamous running-wall-neck-snap; Michelle and Tony start getting it on; the cougar dude from “Saw.”

One: Season Five.

Jack Bauer takes on the President of the United States of America.

Also RoboCop. And the dude from “Warlock.” And C. Thomas Howell.

It’s pretty damn awesome.

This season had it all – one of the best sets of villains I’ve ever seen on the show; some great acting from Gregory Itzin and Jean Smart as the President and his first lady; and super-human secret service agent Aaron Pierce blew up a dude wearing a flame-thrower.

SOLD.

Highlights: The shocking first episode deaths; that fat hobbit’s sacrifice; Aaron Pierce’s expanded role; Edgar’s death; Jack deploying another famous neck snap; Jack’s final shoot-out with Henderson; the Logans.

Well.

Tomorrow we close out “24 Week” with the five best moments in the show’s history.

And then I will return you to your regularly scheduled blog!

It occurs to me that the popularity of the show 24 and the fictional character President Palmer may have something to do with the popularity of a black president as being voted into the most powerful position currently available on our planet. What are your thoughts on this. Type in President Palmer to google and get over 5,900,000 hits! Wow. Anyhows he was damn good in the show, in my opinion, whilst drifting off last night this was my last thought. I like Obama and feel very happy that he is in power…….but as said, how much of this was down to the 24 Show and the wonderful Palmer President that stood for all that is good and great in this TV Success? Any thoughts……….

Matt left early Monday morning. I’m back to cooking for one for a while.

My Tax Pro classes are going well. I’m surprised that I’m understanding and retaining things so well. I took my second quiz today and I was really scared that I wouldn’t know the answers, but I did just fine. I have to keep telling myself to take my time reading the questions. It’s always been a problem of mine to not fully read questions on tests and miss a critical word. I’ve really connected with one of the girls in the class. Her name is Bridget. She is my age, married and has two young kids. We found that we are very similar. Today we even found that our husbands are very alike. Her husband works on power lines. They travel all over the country for his job sometimes living in a hotel for a month and sometimes (like now) being able to settle in for a whole year. I’m really enjoying the class. I just hope that the actual job is as satisfying.

Bravo is almost adjusted to Matt being gone. The first day he cried. He searched high and low for Matt when I got home. He thought every little noise was Matt pulling in the driveway. Later when he realized it was past the time that Matt usually comes home he lay by the front door and whined. It made me really sad. He had to do one more search through the house before he would come to bed and then slept on Matt’s side almost the whole night. Today he still looked for Matt when I got home, but he settled down a lot faster and I think he’s stopped expecting him to come home. I know he still misses his daddy though. Matt gives him so much energy. That’s a nice way of saying that I’m out of shape and get totally winded when I try chasing him around the house.
