The Logitech G25. Probably one of the sweetest, most nerdiest things I personally own. and i’m proud of it. I have played a few games and i’ve been just dying to mod it, and i’m sure you have too.

But for ~250$ new, i’m sure it’s not something you feel like voiding your warranty over. and let me repeat – this WILL void your warranty, especially if you are a messy modder.

Good thing you have a guide like this, with plenty of pictures to base your modding decision on.

I went as far as removing the shifter knob, and shifter boot to realize i don’t want to mess around inside of it, and for the most part i use the paddle shifters (with the exception of a few muscle cars).

1. Your going to need the proper tools, here are a few i used. You’re going to need a few allen wrenches,   and a few phillips head screw drivers, plus (unless you’re super manly) a set of vice grips/pliers to make sure you don’t strip anything out.

*side note: If you get stuck you can use the vice grips to hold on to your screw drivers like so:

2. Start by removing the allen bolts that circle the shift knob in an X-Pattern. If you are unfamiliar with the X-Pattern you should kill yourself.

3. Once you have the bolts removed, pull a tad bit up on the leather shift boot to lift it off the shifter housing, you can pry gently with a flat head screw driver if you want..

4. Obviously, you need to remove the shifter to completely remove it. Go ahead and take a small flat head screw driver (or just use your fingernail as i did) to remove the cap.

5. There is a phillips head screw with washer on the inside of the shift knob. Unscrew it from the shifter, but do not unscrew it from the knob, this way you won’t lose any important parts! Lift the knob up, and remove the boot.

6. Now you can see the inner workings of your H-Pattern shifter. Pretty cool. There are 3 hidden screws around the top of the shifter housing. They are very tight. do NOT strip them.

7. if you decide to go any further, there are some other hidden screws on the bottom, and you have to remove the fast clamp mounts on the bottom of the shifter. This is where i called it quits. i decided there wasn’t any need for me to go any further.

For you it might be a different story.. I more or less, just wanted to see the inner workings of my beloved G25, There are many guides out there on Google about how to do the actual modding, I just wanted to give everyone a better idea of what they are getting themselves into. I, as a Mechanic for 3 years decided I didn’t want to mod it, partly because I didn’t have the materials, and partly because the shifter is “fine”.

(GREEK NEWS AGENDA) The prime ministers of Greece, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and Albania, on November 27, sent a joint letter to the UN Secretary General, the European Union and the Danish prime minister regarding the environmental protection of the Prespes Lake region shared by all three countries.
After the tripartite informal meeting in a lake-side village on the Greek side, Greek premier George Papandreou told reporters that the three leaders agreed to sign an agreement – in early February 2010 – to enhance the environmental protection of the Prespes Lake region.
They also promised to promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation in water management and take measures to tackle pollution and soil erosion. 
Papandreou also discussed with his FYROM counterpart, Nikola Gruevski, investment projects, the possibility of abolishing visas for FYROM nationals, as well as the “name issue,” for which the Greek premier said that new impetus should be given to the ongoing talks for its resolution.
With his Albanian counterpart, Sali Berisha, the Greek premier discussed economic relations, and minority and immigration issues.

Quite the come on Sharks performance in their 5-4 shootout win over the Edmonton Oilers. After the 7-2 debacle last game against Chicago, I expected a bit more effort tonight, but alas, this is San Jose. Effort is harder to come by than a 2012 convention at your local church.

Patrick Marleau scored a hat trick with Joe Thornton as the set-up man on all 3. And every goal of Patty’s looked similar. All involved Joe being at or behind the goal line and throwing the puck to Patty in front of the net. Easy pickings for Marleau, who also tallied an assist later for a four-point night.

Ryane Clowe was the other goal scorer. He and Joe Pavelski camped out in front of the net, and Clowe pocketed the rebound.

Not many Sharks showed up tonight, unfortunately. And since all my angry emotions are drained from the Chicago game, I won’t be going off on them as much.

Please tell me why you wouldn’t play as hard as you could after a crappy performance. Your manhood was tested and you come back tonight with another ball-less act. You’re making a joke of yourselves. This should have been a blowout. Edmonton is destined for the NHL cellar and you guys needed a shootout to beat them? Really now?

I’ve avoided the Todd McClellan criticism, but this goes on him. I still don’t know what he’s like in the locker room, but if he doesn’t yell, that needs to change. This was inexcusable.

OK, I’m really tired of talking about defensive letdowns but tonight it was as blatant as ever. One Edmonton goal came when Dan Boyle tried to bring the puck into the Oilers’ zone and was pickpocketed. A breakaway later, the Oilers were on the board. Another time, Jason Demers attempted a stretch pass, which was promptly intercepted. An offensive breakout later, another Oiler goal.

I guess I should just accept these kinds of things because that’s what Boyle and Demers do — try to create offense — but it’s just so annoying seeing it EVERY SINGLE GAME.

Tell Me Why

Kent Huskins and Derek Joslin were on the ice in overtime for a 3 on 3 situation. For the love of all that is holy, give me one good reason why those two have any business being out there.

Hit-O-Meter: SJ 16  EDM 22; Douglas Murray and Ryane Clowe led with 3 each.

Torrey Mitchell returned to the lineup for the first time this millenium; however, we didn’t get to see much from him. He accumulated 6:25 of ice time with one shot.
