Back on St. Patricks Day I ran my first 5k! It’s been a longstanding goal of mine and I finally accomplished it. Distancewise, I had passed the 5k mark a while ago in my training for the half marathon I am running in May, but it felt really awesome anyway. It was great being with a ton of other runners, traversing an unfamiliar terrain and embracing all the pomp and circumstance (booths, blow up arches, prizes) that come with a race.

I’m not the fastest runner.. . .

. . .but I kept with it.  Here I am looking all runnerly.

There’s nothing sweeter than accomplishing a personal goal. Except maybe the prize you get at the end of accomplishing a personal goal.

I’ll be running my first 10k in a couple of weeks. Happy running!!
