Firstly I would like to say well done to the following people who last night resigned from the Turnbull frontbench.

Tony Abbott opposition families, housing, community services and indigenous affairs portfolio.
Nick Minchin – Leader of the opposition in the Senate.
Sophie Mirabella – early childhood education, childcare, women and youth portfolio.
Stephen Parry – Chief Opposition Whip in the Senate.
Eric Abetz – Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.
Michael Johnson – Opposition Whip in the House of Representatives.
Tony Smith – Opposition assistant treasurer. Mathias Cormann – Opposition parliamentary secretary
Mitch Fifield – Opposition parliamentary secretary Brett Mason – Opposition parliamentary secretary

They may just about have saved the day with this ETS. Time will tell. With a meeting arranged for 9:00 Am Monday morning all will be revealed. However I believe unless Tony Abbott is made leader there still is a chance the ETS will survive. Joe Hockey is a good man but he believes in the ETS. Keep up your emails and calls to your members of parlament particularly the Liberal sentors that are due to vote in the next couple of days. To make it easy here are the details of all Liberal senators. Get twittering, emailing or calling.

Thanks to over whelming public pressure, the damn finally cracked and a tidal wave of exiting Shadow Cabinet Members flowed free. Its a good day for Australia and a good day for the Australian Liberal Party and a great day for democracy … Believe it or not !

And because of that I have to say my opinion of politics and indeed of the Liberal Party has changed significantly for the better in the last few hours. Yesterday I wondered who was looking out for us the people. I criticised Tony Abbott for not doing what he believed was best for country. Thank goodness Tony came through for us today and I am happy to report so did a raft of other senior politicians.

Hopefully this is enough for a Leadership spill before the ETS vote is required. There is still hope and it is thanks to these people who it now seems have the good of the country in their primary thoughts not just their own selfish motives. I have to say even though Malcolm Turnbull’s position is misguided at least he is doing what he thinks is right. Unfortunately however he is finished as leader. I guess the ultimate sacrifice. Oh well !

And that’s the way it is

Especially when it Comes to the Australian Liberal Party. I can almost admire Malcolm Turnbulls deci

Especially when it Comes to the Australian Liberal Party.

I can almost admire Malcolm Turnbulls decision to back the modified version of the ETS.

Almost…

It is a brave decision going against the wishes of the majority of the people who elected him into his seat and indeed the member’s of parliament who elected him as leader not to mention the 48% of people who voted Liberal at the last election (Who could forget them ! ). You DO have to give him points for doing what he believes is right for the nation. No matter how miss guided it is.

Make no mistake it IS misguided and one can only wonder exactly what makes him so keen to back a plan that will have no positive effect on the environment and that will cost business and majority of Australians a fortune.

Recently there has been news about emails surfacing which proves that lead scientists (that the UN use to make the case for Global Warming) have been fudging the data to make the man made global warming case more sustainable. Surely this makes this whole premise seem more and more like a great hoax.

As much as I can almost admire poor Malcolm’s deluded decision to back Labor’s attempt to tax this nation into oblivion. I can not say the same thing about his member’s of parliament who could still could stop him and labour from implementing this misguided scheme.

Case in Point: Tony Abbott

Today on Sydney Radio Station 2GB with Jason Morrison, I heard an interview that made my blood boil. It also made me wonder who the majority of our leaders really work for us or themselves ? Tony is smart enough to realise as he admitted today that the ETS scheme was going to be disastrous for our country. I thought great here is a man a senior liberal shadow minister with brains and the ability to do something about this crazy scheme. He went on to say however that although he didn’t believe in the bill he was STILL going to vote for it anyway. I’m sorry ??? What was that ?

Vote for something that is bad for the nation ????

Surely he cant be serious ? Unfortunately he WAS.

He went on to say that he was going to vote for the policy for the solidarity (the good) of the party.

Again “What the ???”

So lets get this straight, Tony not only doesn’t have the fortitude to step up and take over from a seriously mis guided leader, he will not defy his party and leader and vote for something he knows is bad for the country?

This is school yard stuff. ” I know those kids shouldn’t be kicking and punching that poor little kid, but Im not going to do anything about it , in fact I might just join in because if I dont they might start picking on me and punching me!!!” OK maybe thats going a little too far but you get my point.

The sad thing is Tony Abbott will not be alone… While people like Tony are running our country, we can never assume that the right thing is going to be done. It has shaken me to the core. I have been a Liberal voter all my life, however how can I vote for a party that is allowing this bad - dare I say evil scheme through parliament even they don’t believe in the bill themselves.

I urge you to don’t just sit there and let this happen write call or fax your local member of parliament and tell them what you think. You never know a miracle might happen and our liberal politicians might grow a backbone and do what they were employed to do.
Do what the people who elected them want them to do.

And that’s the way it is.

UPDATE: 2GB have posted the interview I am referring to on thier website . Click on the below link to go to it.

Sabemos que con tantos USB que existen en la actualidad elegir es algo realmente complicado (a no ser que quieras uno de los clásicos Kingston blancos o negros).
Yeah I got a new computer because I was working on my back up plan and that required getting a PC. I

Yeah I got a new computer because I was working on my back up plan and that required getting a PC. I got more power added because I was thinking about getting a second monitor. It is an HP, Pavilion I believe. So far the extra power has come in handy and as a matter of fact, I don’t think I will be getting the second monitor after all. I don’t really need it. I thought I might but so far I don’t. I had a virtual discussion about whether a laptop is a PC or not. But when you talk about a PC you are talking about a cpu, a monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. When you talk about a laptop, all those components are in one unit not four units.

I uploaded all my pictures from my camera to my new computer. It was faster and easier than my laptop. This process usually takes a lot of energy from the batteries in my camera but this time it didn’t. Yippee. The pictures did not load to the software that came with the camera but uploaded to Windows Media. I actually like a Windows product better than a competitor’s product. I transferred my files to my new computer with a 2GB flash drive. Piece of cake. I got a new printer also, it was part of the package deal. I recently bought a router so that I could use my laptop while watching TV. I have not installed the router yet but it should be a piece of cake. I installed one at my last job so this would be no different. My high-speed internet provider allows up to three computers on the access so that is why I got the router. My laptop is wireless and when I install the router I will protect it with a password so that no one near by can pick up the signal and use it and to protect my information. My PC is in my bedroom. I have plenty of room and it is not crowded.

I like my new computer. The monitor is HUGE. I have learned a couple of new computer tricks. Ctrl F helps you find something on a page and ctrl scroll makes the screen BIGGER. Some of you are saying oh I knew those two, but hey a new trick is still a new trick. I bought a desk chair and put that together, piece of cake. I also bought a computer desk. Now all I have to do is move the equipment from the desk that a former co-worker (here in Tucson) gave me to my new computer desk. The new desk is all put together, I just have to find time to make the switch. I am still rearranging my bedroom.

Monday I get my first paycheck since May of this year. Wish me luck that this paycheck will be the first of many more to come. If I still have this job four weeks from today then I will have passed the dreaded 7 weeks mark that so far indicates whether I will stay at a job or not.

The iPod shuffle is the smallest mp3 player I’ve ever seen. I didn’t think Apple could make it any smaller than the 2nd generation. Considering how small it is, its actually pretty cool. All the controls on the cord for the earbuds, which means you can only use Apple headphones until someone else makes some for it, if they don’t already (I think the stock ones sound fine, I won’t be replacing them). The controls are really easy to use, press the center button once to play/pause, twice to skip, and three times to go back, and if you hold the button on the last click it will fast forward or rewind. To have it tell you what song you are listening to, just press and hold the center button until it speaks, or keep holding it to pick a playlist. The only controls on the iPod are the off/repeat/shuffle switch. If you quickly switch it off and back on, it will tell you the battery percentage.

Theres really nothing I dislike about this iPod (not that there’s much to dislike). It’s a little expensive for what it is, $60 for 2GB and $80 for 4GB, but thats Apple for you…

this is going to be a very simple and straight forward post. you don’t need to worry about hav

this is going to be a very simple and straight forward post. you don’t need to worry about having your USB drive on you anymore. you also never need to worry about leaving a file on another computer again as well. i advise you all to get the application Drop Box right now.

what is Drop Box you say? its software you install on your PC or Mac that creates a Drop Box folder on your computer. whatever files you save or drag to this folder become hosted online on your Drop Box account on their secured website. these files can be accessed anywhere and from any computer. there’s even an awesome iPhone application to have your files on the go as well!

here’s their simple demonstration video.

Drop Box is user friendly, contains no ads, and is extremely secure. you can even make specific files and folders public to send to others if you do so choose. this means you don’t have to email files to your own email address anymore to access them from another location. the storage capacity they give you is 2GB FREE (up to 5GB free if you invite more friends of your own). there are optional monthly payment options if you want 25GB, 50GB, and 100GB. the transfer speeds to and from your Drop Box are very fast. you can also edit the files directly from the box without having to take the file out and put it back in. this type of file storage is the new way of today if ya ask me.

if you want to start using this amazing piece of software, give the link below a click. install the software onto your PC or Mac and it will ask you to create a free account. if you sign up through my link that i’m providing we will both gain an extra +250MB of storage FREE! make sure to complete the installation process completely to receive the extra storage space.

I have long been a fan of Prue’s, she is knowledgeable, funny, witty and is not afraid to raise a topic that should be discussed, even if it is unpopular.

There doesn’t seem to be a better person to lead the discussions for small business.

I spoke to Tim Soden, who is a cadet journalist for the Macquarie network, which is the news service

I spoke to Tim Soden, who is a cadet journalist for the Macquarie network, which is the news service for 2gb, and 2ch. I met Tim when I was an intern at Macquarie, and because he basically has my dream job, I was able to ask him some questions.

(a) what skills they use in their jobs

Tim uses all of the skills a journalist needs to use. On top of that, he usesa number of skills that are exclusive to radio. In his job, Tim conducts interviews live and over the phone, he attends press conferences, writes and narrates stories, and reads bulleins.

Another important skill Tim uses in his job is choosing which stories to follow up, and what angles to go with.

(b) how they got in to their job
Tim got his job by being persistent. He volunteered at 2gb on weekends, and doing the less desirable shifts. (Midnight to dawn). It’s imporant to recognise that as a young journalist, you have to pay your dues. Which is why Tim took a job anwsering the phones at 2gb over summer, it meant that people would remember him when it came time to hire for new positions.

(c) advice on getting in to that job

“Do anyhing you can to get your foot in the door, and don’t let them forget who you are”
(d) what they like about their job

Tim gets to do something diffent every day. One day it might be covering a political story, the next day it could be going to a sport press conference. The next day he might be going on a harbour cruise to discuss future development plans.

He also gets to meet fascinating people from all walks of life, including politicians, sports stars, criminals, and people behind the microphone, such as Peter Harvey, who is full of good advice.

(e) what they don’t like about their job
“People see a young reporter, and almost instantly they don’t take me seriously” Which has some good points, because it can often be disarming for them
