Sterna antillarum  Petite Sterne  /  Least Tern 

The smallest stern in North America, the Least Tern nests in colonies on the sandbars and beaches of the American East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico. Its length is 23 cm and its wingspan is 51 cm.

The Least Sandiper nests in the tundra, the saltwater marshes and the boreal peat bogs of the Nouveau-Québec and Basse-Côte-Nord regions, the Île d’Anticosti, the Îles-de-la-Madeleine and the southern seacoast of Nova Scotia. There, it feeds on various insects, worms, small molluscs and crustaceans that it finds in the mud. Found in the southern united States during the winter, the Least Sandiper is 13 to 17 cm in length.

Le bécasseau minuscule niche dans la toundra, les marais salés et les tourbières boréales du Nouveau-Québec, de la Basse-Côte-Nord, de l’île d’Anticosti, des Îles-de-la-Madeleine et de la côte sud de la Nouvelle-Écosse. Il s’y nourrit d’insectes divers, de vers, de petits mollusques et de crustacés qu’il trouve dans la vase. Observé dans le sud des États-Unis en hiver, le bécasseau minuscule a une longueur de 13 à 17 cm.

A protected species, the Roseate Spoonbill was formerly hunted for its pink feathers that were used in making fans. Common along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, it is also widely present in South America, more especially in Chili and Argentina. It rarely strays off-course, and is found in Arizona and in south-eastern California. The average length of the Roseate Spoonbill is 81 cm and its average wingspan is 127 cm.

Espèce protégée, la spatule rosée était autrefois chassée pour ses plumes roses qui servaient à la confection d’éventails. Commune sur la côte du golfe du Mexique, elle est également répandue en Amérique du Sud, au Chili et en Argentine plus particulièrement. Elle s’égare rarement et on l’observe en Arizona et dans le sud-est de la Californie. La spature rosée a une longueur moyenne de 81 cm et une envergure moyenne de 127 cm.

I havn’t listened to the Logan Sama show on Kiss FM for a while now, I find I just don’t have the time to stay awake on Monday’s like that. But, it seems last night should’ve been the night I locked in.

The tune is well and truly nuts !! WIley’s on the production, each MC does ALOT.COM.

I don’t listen to many MC’s from outside of London (it’s not a bias thing I just don’t have time) but of those I do Shifty is defiantly one of the better ones. Many have stuck with the opinion that Devlin has fallen off as of late, but after this and London City, it’s fair to say he’s pushing his Dagenham shoulders back into the game. Ghetts is doing alot lately, watch out for his next mix tape “Calm Before The Storm” dropping before the debut album “Rebel With A Cause”. But the best MC on this track has to be Wiley. His flow is mental !! Look out for the next Wiley album “The Illusive” dropping some time in September and also the next single “She Likes To”:

Was totally bored today at work today. Got into a conversation about whether you could overdo deoderant like you could overdo perfume. Went into the toilet, sprayed entire contents of two cans of deoderant onto torso. Answer is “yes you can overdo deoderant, you can smell it from 10 feet away and you and the surrounding area may find it hard to breath for a bit”).

I was pretty amazed I didn’t get fired today. After the deoderant experiment I spent 20 minutes trying to cajole people into doing the Ted Rogers 321 thing with their fingers. It generated into people wiggling their fingers then making an offensive gesture with their middle finger. There was only one person (Ken) who could actually do it, I was surpised at how genuinely impressed I was.

Much 321 chat today, it’s a mystery how Ted Rogers didn’t get his head kicked in at the end of every episode with the cryptic clue (here’s an example from wikipedia)

a wishbone brought on by Sonny Hayes came with the clue “Take one that never changes, add a pub and a precious stone, bring them all up-to-date, and now you’re on your own”, which the contestants rejected hoping it referred to Dusty Bin. Rogers explanation of the clue was: “‘Take one that never changes’, well that could be Dusty Bin which of course is where you might throw a wishbone. ‘Add a pub and a precious stone’, well that doesn’t point to Dusty. ‘Bring them all up-to-date, and now you’re on your own’. At that point Ted Rogers should have been a dead man, but he survived every week. You couldn’t do it now, too much violence on tv 321 would be the tipping point.

After work went and played badminton, so much more fun than weights it really throws it into contrast. Forced self to gym after badders.

Did a new record for bench press, 50 kg. Not seen substantial improvement in life since bench press.

Did weighted pull ups, with 10kg attached to belt. Still don’t have a girlfriend.

Aborted squats with 170kg as felt was about to pull a muscle.

Now going to sleep to help body cope with the stress of rapid muscular growth and digesting chips.

Queste andavano ad aggiungersi a freeSMS Siti, per l’invio di SMS gratuiti che Vodafone, Tim, Alice e non solo, mettono a disposizione dei loro clienti registrati al loro sito con la comodità di poterli inviare direttamente dal proprio cellulare e easySMS, basic o premium, ovvero l’invio di pacchetti SMS acquistati a prezzi molto vantaggiosi da Skebby.

A distanza di non molto tempo, un nuovo aggiornamento per questa applicazione e si passa alla versione 3.21, di cui il changelog:

- Nuovi processi di login e iscrizione
- Possibilità di effettuare lo status update su Twitter (e tra poco anche su facebook)
- Possibilità di utilizzare l’applicazione in modalità base (per utenti meno esperti) o avanzata.
- Contatore per sms relativi alle promozioni attive sulla SIM
- Possibilità di invitare gli amici con sms inviati dal server
- Incremento del numero limite di messaggi ricevuti a 500
- Ricezione immediata di eventuali messaggi skebby in presenti al termine dell’invio di un messaggio
- Migliorata l’usabilità nelle risposte ai messaggi skebby in
- Ristrutturazione di alcune schermate di configurazione e impostazione
- Bugfixing generale

Hey everyone… sorry I haven’t been updating much… but I have been quite busy lately. Also as you all know, we didn’t have a show on March 27th and April 3rd due to programming alterations… not really. But March 27th held a special marathon of the Mad Trivia Party celebrating they long term run on WHRW. Also April 3rd we were off for Spring break so programming was changed for this week.

So that was the playlist for our special 2 hour session of THE PLAYLIST. TUNE IN APRIL 10th for our return!

When I am feeling particularly down, I listen to this song by Daniel Johnston for inspiration.   This is a picture from Daniel’s performance at Emo’s on Saturday, March 21.  The venue was amazing.  It was indoors but the fourth wall opened to a side patio & in the back, there was another patio with a laminated wall of old concert posters.  Prior to Daniel’s show, Grupo Fantasma played.  They were a rockin’ Tex Mex band* with a horn section; three drummers; another percussionist; a bassist and at least two guitar players.  It was a performance worthy of a wide angle lens that I do not have.  If you heard them and were not at least a little tempted to join the people who were dancing in the way too packed for dancing crowd, then you are dead on the inside.  Even with my heavy bag o’gear & the inability to move more than two inches in any direction, I found myself wanting to shake my groove thing. 

Daniel followed them and, much to my surprise, many Grupo Fantasma members joined him for a few songs in the end.  Hearing Daniel sing “Live & Let Die” was only made more amazing by the addition of Grupo Fantasma’s horn section.  Wow. 

*Wikipedia calls them “an 11-piece Latin funk orchestra.”

Good lookin’ out to Craig Boogie for the linkery I’m refreshed with some newer stuff the Jadakiss album is pretty good but I won’t post  any of it here….smiles and giggles.

On another note, lately I have been wanting to revamp my anime/ manga categories in the sidebar. I feel that it is becoming too clustered. Many categories have merely one post in there, which is not something I particularly like. Further, I also want to separate anime and manga… Anyway, there are many issues I am not completely satisfied about. However, I have no idea how to cleanly represent all the categories.

Spring break is almost over… I should use the remaining time to do something productive.
