sebelum mau instal, kalian harus punya dulu software 3ds maxnya (yaeyalah..:D). Tapi karena aku punyanya (lebih tepatnya ngopy, <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> ) yang 3ds max 2009, jadi aku kasih tau proses instalan yang 2009 aja ya..</p>
<p>awalnya agak ragu juga, biz kata temen yang udah pernah nginstal, komputernya jadi ngehang gitu, gara2nya mungkin g kuat, mengingat beratnya 3ds max.<br />
tapi karena udah keburu mepet, akhirnya aku coba buat instal. Tau deh ntar ngehang apa g. (maap..jadi curcol) <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>karena takutnya ngehang, tadinya berniat untuk beli hardisk external aja, tapi pas nanya ma kakak, ternyata bisa ko g ngehang. Insya Allah kuat.<br />
alhamdulillah g ngehang.huehehe.</p>
<p>udah kan ya selesai penjelasannya?<br />
hehe belom ding..tadi baru mukaddimahnya.<br />
jadi gini..y selayaknya menginstal software pada umumnya. Karena file 3ds max 2009nya dalam bentuk winRaR, jadi diekstrak dulu ya.<br />
Biz itu tinggal di klik dua kali pada file setup. Proses instalnya seperti biasa.</p>
<p>Setelah selesai, kalian buka Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 32-bit.</p>
<p>Maka akan keluar tampilan, dengan pilihan active the product atau run the product. Dan kita pilih active the product. Lalu selanjutnya akan keluar request code. Dan dibawahnya meminta serial number.</p>
<p>oya pada saat kita menginstal (diawal tadi) kan diminta serial number, maka kita masukkan serial number yang ada pada folder crack dengan nama &#8216;instal&#8217;. ada 3 pilihan untuk serial numbernya. pilih aja salah satunya.</p>
<p>ok..balik lagi ke tampilan yang tadi. masukkan serial number sesuai dengan serial number yang tadi kalian masukkan pada saat proses instalasi. selanjutnya pilih &#8216;Enter an Activation Code&#8217;. dan pilih &#8216;paste the generated activation code&#8217;.</p>
<p>selanjutnya pada folder crack, klik dua kali pada 3ds max 2009 32bit, maka akan muncul sebuah tampilan yang lebih kecil yang meminta request code (request code berada pada tampilan yang tadi). Copy request code pada tampilan yang sebelumnya, dan paste pada tampilan yang lebih kecil ini. Kemudian &#8216;calculate&#8217;. Selanjutnya akan keluar generated code. Lalu generated activation code ini, kita copy pada tampilan yang sebelumnya. Dan klik next. Kemudian finish.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>A configuração de materiais e reflexões pode ser um grande desafio para qualquer artistas 3d, principalmente com o uso de alguns tipos especiais de superfícies que precisam apresentar reflexões. O desafio nesse caso é criar esse tipo de reflexão em ambientes que simplesmente não apresentam nada para refletir. Esse é um problema que vejo com frequência nas minhas aulas em que mostro a configuração de materiais e reflexões, pois a maioria dos alunos usa a cena padrão dos softwares 3d para renderizar. Como essas cenas apresentam apenas o objeto sem nada ao redor a reflexão não é gerada. Para piorar a situação, como o plano de fundo do cenário é escuro, o material acaba ficando escuro também devido a reflexão dessa cor.</p>
<p>Uma das maneiras mais simples de criar esse tipo de reflexão no cenário é com o uso de imagens HDRI, que são mapas esféricos. Podemos adicionar essa textura no ambiente do projeto e ao renderiar, as reflexões configuradas nos materiais são geradas automaticamente ao renderizar a cena.</p>
<p>Se você for usuário do 3ds Max e renderize suas cenas com o Mental Ray, existe um tutorial simples e objetivo que mostra o processo de configuração necessário para aplicar mapas HDRI em cenas 3d, para gerar esse tipo de reflexão e também iluminação. Uma das vantagens em usar mapas HDRI é que além das reflexões é possível usar esse tipo de textura para adicionar energia luminosa na cena. O tutorial está em vídeo e tem apenas 4 minutos aproximadamente:</p>

<p>No vídeo o autor cria uma cena bem simples composta por um plano e o Utah Teapot para gerar as reflexões. O material associado ao objeto é do tipo Raytracing, excelente para esse tipo de propósito. A textura HDRI é adicionada como mapa no painel environment e configurada como base para gerar a iluminação e background de uma Skylight presente na cena. Um passo importante é instanciar a textura no painel de materiais, para que o tipo de mapeamento da textura seja alterada para esférico. Assim, na renderização o mapa é distribuído ao redor do objeto 3d como se estivesse aplicado na superfície de uma esfera.</p>

Entre os desafios que geralmente afligem o artista 3d está o corte em modelos 3d já criados, que envolve a criação de geometria regular como quadrados e círculos sobre superfícies curvas, que são difíceis de trabalhar com ferramentas regulares da modelagem por subdivisão. As opções de retopologia são excelentes nesse tipo de situação, mas dependendo do software utilizado é possível encontrar ferramentas ainda mais especializadas.</p>
<p>No 3ds Max existe uma opção chamada de ShapeMerge que ajuda significativamente nesse tipo de situação. O que essa ferramenta faz é bem simples, e pode ser descrito como a projeção direta de uma superfície 2d sobre um modelo 3d, qualquer que seja a sua forma. Caso você seja usuário do 3ds Max e nunca tenha usado essa ferramenta, o vídeo abaixo mostra em detalhes como é possível adicionar novas formas no modelo 3d de um terreno, com bom nível de detalhamento como asfalto, meio fio e grama. Qualquer tipo de intervenção nesse modelo seria extremamente complicada, devido a topologia irregular do modelo 3d, mas com o ShapeMerge a tarefa fica bem simples.</p>

<p>Repare que no tutorial, o autor cria um quadrado posicionado um pouco acima da forma principal do terreno. Depois ele seleciona o modelo 3d do terreno e aplica do ShapeMerge, localizado junto de outras ferramentas bem comuns do 3ds Max como o Loft. Basta determinar qual será o objeto usado para projetar a forma e a ferramenta automaticamente adiciona as formas necessárias.</p>
<p>O mais interessante é que podemos aplicar modificadores e deformar a forma criada como referência, e as mesmas transformações são reproduzidas no modelo 3d. Repare que o autor do tutorial aplica um Edit Poly ao quadrado, e quando esse objeto é deformado a forma resultante se atualiza na projeção também. Para os casos em que ferramentas de retopologia não estão disponíveis, o ShapeMerge pode ajudar muito na criação de modelos 3d derivados de partes específicas de objetos maiores, como o terreno mostrado no tutorial.</p>
<p>As aplicações para modelagem 3d voltada para arquitetura são ainda mais nítidas, com a possibilidade de criar formas compostas com apenas um modelo 3d.</p>

<p><span style="color:#888888;">Small renovation project for <a href="http://www.cameronhouse.org/aboutUs/history.html" target="_blank">Cameron House</a> in San Francisco. This chapel room is used for bible study for youths that come to Cameron House. The main objective for this project was to brighten the room making it more welcoming and comfortable to come in.  We introduced the use of floor the ceiling wood paneling on one side of this room and an acent yellow color on the other side to keep it warm, fun and also to break up the use of all white walls.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#888888;">We are also specifying the use of  healthy eco-materials used for insulation in the walls by Bonded Logic &#8211; Recycled blue jeans that contain no chemical irritants or formaldehyde can be installed with out the use of protective clothing.  Recessed dimmable LED down lighting that produces only 4watts and last up to 50 times than traditional bulbs which will be a huge cost saving since this room will be in constant use.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#888888;">I sourced a company in New York that produces specialized framing profiles to achieve the reveals shown in the renders with out huge install and fabrication costs.  Currently producing detail drawings for fabrication.</span></p>

<p>If you are a Ford Mustang fan on facebook, you have probably already seen this video about four guys racing with Stangs on a Need For Speed game and later in a real track. I don&#8217;t know how much it is true video and how much it is an advertisement (probably 40:60), but I wish I could be one of them for that day. I heard people saying that after filming they got those Mustangs as the presents.<br />

Quem usa V-Ray e 3ds Max vai ganhar um plugin em agosto, capaz de fazer arrays objetos do <a href="http://www.allanbrito.com/2008/04/24/tutorial-v-ray-proxy-criando-a-cena-de-um-estacionamento-no-3ds-max/">V-Ray Proxy</a> de maneira rápida e com poucos cliques de mouse. Em que isso pode ajudar? Com isso, artistas 3d podem facilmente criar cenários virtuais de cidades e florestas, usando geometria real!</p>
<p>O impacto desse tipo de tecnologia é impressionante e a imagem abaixo mostra bem o que é possível fazer com esse tipo de ferramenta.<br />

<p>Quer ver uma aplicação prática do V-Ray Scatter e ao mesmo tempo aprender a usar o plugin que sequer foi lançado?</p>
<p>Um usuário da Rússia fez um teste com o plugin e gerou uma cena com aproximadamente 5 Bilhões de polígonos! Sim, você não leu errado, a cena tem essa quantidade mesmo de polígonos.</p>
<p>No caso, ele também elaborou uma floresta. Veja a imagem abaixo para verificar o resultado do projeto:<br />

<p>O computador que o artista usou no projeto é apropriado para o projeto, um Quad Core com 8GB de RAM.</p>
<p>O <a href="http://www.xn--d1abb4ane.com/blog/archives/48">web site do artista</a> (em Russo) não especifica bem o uso do V-Ray Scatter na imagem, mas depois de baixar o vídeo com o Making of, fica evidente o uso de uma versão experimental da ferramenta. Sim, eles disponibilizaram um vídeo mostrando como foi que eles conseguiram chegar nesse resultado! Esse é o <a href="http://www.xn--d1abb4ane.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/clip0004.avi">link direto para o arquivo de vídeo</a>, que tem aproximadamente 50 MB.</p>
<p>Depois de assistir ao vídeo, fica evidente a facilidade de usar o Scatter junto com o V-Ray Proxy. A ferramenta é até simples de usar e se assemelha muito com o próprio Scatter do Max. Assim que o modelo 3d for exportado como Mesh do V-Ray, você pode selecionar o objeto e uma superfície para que o plugin distribua o modelo.</p>
<p>E o computador deles é bom mesmo! Renderizou a imagem com múltiplas árvores de maneira bem rápida!</p>

Na técnica abaixo, as imagens inseridas no plano de fundo serviram de base para que o usuário pudesse desenhar as projeções ortogonais do modelo.<br />

But been thinking hard to do something that i haven’t tried before. Two days back an idea came into my mind and it struck me so hard (:P) that i instantly decided to do something about it. </p>
<p>I would try and walk you through the whole designing process in order to let you get the idea about how this was done.</p>
<p>First of all i created a curve resembling a mark that includes the initials of my name:</p>

<p>Left side of the curve in an ‘A’, ‘B’ on the right side… ‘U’ can be seen in the middle of these two and it extends to create ‘Y’ as well <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> . After that all was pretty simple, created a rectangular curve and used the loft object to create a solid object similar to the curve:</p>

<p>While i was thinking of what to do next, another thing came into my mind. I copied this same curve three times and arranged the figures. Then assigned different material to each one and came up with this:</p>

<p>Door gebruik te maken van programma&#8217;s zoals 3DS Max, Vegas, Photoshop, Sound Forge en After Effects komt hij tot het volgende indrukwekkende resultaat waarin hij zijn auto&#8217;s voorstelt. </p>
<p>Het maken van het animatie-gedeelte nam 5 dagen in beslag. Het <a href="http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renderen">renderen</a> daarintegen duurde maar liefst 110 dagen.</p>

<p>Main Features:</p>
<ul>
<li>Wide variety of structural controls.</li>
<li>Automated detail creation for things like windows, ledges, railings, balconies, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to generate a series of randomized buildings along a spline path.</li>
<li>Combined meshes can be turned into Vray Proxies during the generation process. The optimized view of vray proxies in the viewport allows for a much higher viewport framerate when displaying buildings. The better memory management for proxies allows for near limitless numbers of buildings in the scene.</li>
<li>When you generate with path quick-build on, you can opt to &#8220;Re-use&#8221; the quick-built buildings. What this does is keep re-using the set of buildings you&#8217;ve already made in future path generations. So&#8230;.it can greatly speed up the process of adding more buildings elsewhere in your scene by re-using one&#8217;s you&#8217;ve already generated instead of making new ones. Of course, if your quick-build value is low you&#8217;ll see building repetition, but if it&#8217;s high this option can be a real time saver without noticeable problems like repeating building patterns.</li>

<p>A Mental Images foi comprada em dezembro de 2007 pela Nvidia. Como o nome implica, ele suporta ray tracing para gerar imagens. Por exemplo, recursos como GI (iluminação global) foram apoiados pelo mental ray longo antes de poderem ser encontradas em RenderMan. Mental ray tem sido utilizada em vários filmes, incluindo Hulk, The Matrix Reloaded &#38; Revolutions, Star Wars Episódio II: Ataque dos Clones, O Dia Depois de Amanhã e ultimamente no Poseidon.</p>
<p>A principal característica do mental ray é a realização de alto desempenho através de paralelismo de ambos os multiprocessadores, conhecidas como renderfarm, onde varios computadores processam o mesmo arquivo ao mesmo tempo.<br />
