Did any of you miss out on the New York Comic Con this past October? Well, now is your chance to make up for it. Starting tomorrow (January 3rd) at 12:30 pm EST (that is 9:30 am here on the west coast), the NYCC will begin selling their hard to get 4-Day passes for this year’s event happening in October.

The 4-Day ticket provides an exclusive pass to New York Comic Con on Thursday (October 11) as the convention will be open on that day to only Pros, Press, VIPs and fans who purchase a 4-Day ticket, according to a press release issued on Comic Book Resources.

According to the release, 3-Day tickets will go on sale later this spring, while the single day passes will go on sale this coming summer. Organizers have noted that there will be more panels screenings for that Thursday as well as extended hours.

This will prove to be a fun event, especially for those of you that don’t like heading to San Diego for Comic Con. You have to admit though that NYC has a better public transportation system than any other place in the country so you can get a hotel anywhere and still manage to get to the event. Who’s going?

Earlier today, Comic Con International wanted to make sure everyone noticed the subtle little message they posted on their site at 11 p.m. PST last night. Subtle, guys. Real subtle. They tweeted earlier this afternoon that the page is up but they are not allowing any tickets to be purchased yet. You can check out the Comic Con page and they informed everyone that they will tweet a one-hour warning so be ready.

As we posted this morning, they are having new rules regarding purchase of the 4-day passes, keep in mind that this is only for 4-day passes only. Single day passes will be sold at a later time.

You will not receive the $105 price for the 4-day passes, as people will purchase a 4-day pass and only go for a day or so. So you will pay the full $137 price, which is full price for each day and the $6 processing fee. Hope those that want to go will be able too. They claimed last night that they have about 1,500 to sell. Good luck and let us know if any of you were able to get tickets or how the experience was.

Earlier today, Comic-Con International announced on Twitter: We expect to have 1,500 refunded 4-day

Earlier today, Comic-Con International announced on Twitter:

We expect to have 1,500 refunded 4-day badges available to purchase. Announcement will be made 1hr prior to the resale: bit.ly/cc11resale

and on Facebook:

Comic-Con 2011 Badge Resale Information

The deadline for refunded badges was 6-20-11. We will announce via our website, Facebok, Twitter and RSS feed when those refunded badges will go on sale. This is a soft opening so the announcement will be made on the day registration opens one hour prior notice.

We expect to have 1,500 4-day badges available for purchase. More information: http://bit.ly/cc11resale

They purposely avoided announcing a day and time as to alleviate the mad rush of people who would then over-run the servers that hold the precious “golden tickets!” The 1500 4-Day Passes will go pretty quickly even using this tactic but it will go much more smoothly than previous occasions.

The link from Twitter and Facebook leads to:

So basically, the pricing looks like…

4-Day Pass WITHOUT Preview Night (includes $6 reprocessing fee)
$137 — Adult
$68 — Junior, Senior and Military

…on top of this, you can only buy a maximum of TWO passes!

They also state that “Single-day badges will be available at a later time.”

Good luck to everyone that needs a pass!

Today at 9 am PST, Comic Con 2011 tickets went on sale for a third time, after two attempts crashed

Today at 9 am PST, Comic Con 2011 tickets went on sale for a third time, after two attempts crashed the original ticket server EPIC. The process was not without controversy. Many people were subjected to ERROR messages from Ticketleap, the new event seller, starting at 9 am this morning.

Various messages through their Twitter feeds, Ticketleap was overwhelmed by the volume and kept informing it’s potential customers to keep “F5” or refreshing their screens to make it through the simple two-page sign up process.

Many people, depending on who commented, got tickets, and many more did not. Within four hours, their entire 4-Day Pass, without Preview Night, were sold out. Shortly thereafter, their single day passes sold out. Saturday, which is the highest volume day, sold out an hour after the 4-Day passes did.

There seem to be an issue with customers, in regards to ticket availability. Many potential customers would select the tickets they wanted and went “on hold” for 15 minutes, until they were thrown back up for sale. Some people were seeing sold out icons, while others were getting 4-Day Passes. This has prompted confusion and anger for the customers that paid an extra $100 or more for days they didn’t need to.

We reached out to Comic Con Organizers for comment, but our emails went unanswered. As of now, all the days for Comic Con 2011 are sold out. In the coming months, they will release more tickets when people cancel their purchases.
