it’s daytime. will make my way to jo-anne’s in 3hrs. let’s hope we finish the filming fast. can’t wait to piss off  NINTENDO WII when we hand in our result. seriously, he sucks to the core. i’ve never hated a teacher so badly before. screw him. the worst part is, he’s not leaving. he’s going to stay. why can’t mr lee/li stay instead of that optimistic-mother-figure moron? even my mother’s less naggy. i swear, i’ll never change my take on him. he reminds of a ball. he’s friggin round. i hope he gets run over by a lorry.

So, yesterday I went into town and walked around a bit dressed as Sean.. That was interesting ^_^

After the aforementioned escapades, it was off to a garage to listen to a band! And people gradually lost interest, as you do at times, so the singer grabbed a saw off the wall and started waving it around while singing.. Didn’t even miss a word while it was being wrestled off him! Inspiring comes to mind?

Then, it was off to the other side of the village to a different party! At which I discovered that Sean’s fashion sense is basically typical butch lesbian, but with a topman hoodie. This went on for hours, until about 2 and we went home where we watched As Told By Ginger till about 4 and slept on a couch. What a show! In-depth plot, dimensional characters, kinda reminds me of Mean Girls? Which has very little of the former and the latter, but y’know, it’s the general vibe I’m getting from this… Today we must’ve watched 10 or 12 episodes of it, a marathon if you will! That and Guitar Hero on medium difficulty. Awesome day, although I just noticed- I literally haven’t been outside the house at all today. Oh well, can’t win every battle. Although I wasn’t neccessarily fighting anyone about it to begin with. Never mind.

So, I’ve been tired and lethargic all day and it is indeed time for bed! These are the moments where I adore laptops ^_^

My summer cold, which I was sure would pass in 24 hours, is entering its second week. So, Nyquil notwithstanding, most mornings this week I’ve been awake at 4 in the morning. This feels like the worst of all times of day to be awake, doesn’t it?

Why is that? Where did I even get this idea about 4 in the morning? How did 4 in the morning get such a bad rap?

The slam poet Rives might have the answer. Check out his “4 in the morning” lyrical origami at the 2007 TED Conference. I don’t want to summarize any of it, for fear of ruining the effect. See it for yourself and you’ll see how Rives has the uncanny ability to take any topic and make it captivating, humerous and profound. His “mockingbirds” riff still gives me the chills. (check it out; it’s 4 minutes long)

Rives is just one of the speakers at the TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) Conference who defies easy classification. TED is a conference about the spread of ideas. It brings together some of the smartest people on the planet, and asks them to give 18 minute TED talks on their area of expertise. So the next time you’re thinking about watching a Seinfeld rerun on your DVR (“it’s just 22 minutes long,” you think), check out a TED talk instead.

I’m continually amazed by how transcendent the speakers are. Who could imagine being captivated by a biologist talking about the fastest movement in the animal world; a doctor and researcher explaining graphically why some countries are rich and others are poor; a brain scientist talking about her personal experience having a stroke; or computer scientist who modified a Wii remote control to make a $50 whiteboard (the market price is $2,500).

To me, TED is about the raw power of ideas, and of community, to change the world. It is also about how influence comes from the ability to communicate with people outside your field of expertise (see: the Obama campaign).

And listening to these speakers, one cannot help but think, “Wow, maybe I can do something totally fabulous that makes the world a different and better place.”

because yesterday, i slept at around 4:30 p.m. and woke up at like 2 a.m. today.
it’s was probably cuz i was really tired yesterday…cuz in l.a. i was really sleepy watching “wag the dog” and then we had this ‘fact finding’ assignment after watching the movie. and we had to run around and stuff and find facts, but after running around, i wasn’t tired. but then, i got on the bus and was tired. then i came home and wasn’t tired. then i was tired. haha, yeah. shut up~~

 so yeah, i woke up and took a shower at about 3 a.m., about an hour ago…and now, i’m really bored and there’s nothing to do at 4 a.m., so i’m blogging.

AH! yesterday was my half birthday, so i’m like 16 and a half…nobody wished me a happy half birthday cept haowie…T__T i’m so sad. okay, whatever. i don’t know what to do…IT’S EFFING 4 A.M.~!!

Asa-i cand iti ucizi dulcele somn pentru un proiect peste care
sunt foarte convins ca profesorul nu isi va arunca nici cea mai scurta privire!
In rest o zi obisnuita, banala, monotona, plicitisitoare!
Cu exceptia orelor de la radio!
Asadar o saptamana care incepe mai nefericit, asta daca mai pun la socoteala
si un accident de circulatie destul de grav, care mi-a fost dat sa-l vad
in aceasta seara in drumul meu de la radio spre casa.
(nu stiu care e faza dar de la un timp mie dat sa vad astfel de accidente…
si nu e absolut deloc placut).

I’ve yet to buy Gwen’s latest album The Sweet Escape, but I do have Love, Angel, Music, Baby. It’s a great album. I played it to death, scratched it, and bought it again even though I could have just burned a replacement since I had copied the songs to Itunes.

“4 in the Morning” is the best single Gwen has released from The Sweet Escape thus far. It’s great lyrically and musically which does not always happen with today’s music. It conveys a lot of emotion.

I’m single right now. So, I can’t say the song reminds me of any romantic interests. It does remind me of some of my friends though. If you just take it down a couple of levels, you can apply it to friendship. I mean it sucks to have friends that you go the extra mile for, but they can’t do the same. Should true friendship be quickly indispensable? No, but I also don’t have to put up with repeatedly being disrespected.

I miss my friends. The good ones. That’s the one thing that sucks. I’m here, and they’re there.
