I don’t know how many people have waited for this episode, or have seened it already but I’m going to post it up anyway! Invincle Youth Episode 1 is finally subbed! In this show, 7 girls from different girl group are put together to work out in the country. This show is really interesting, you get to see Sunny catching chicken, Yuri being the dork she is, and girls from Kara, 4 Minutes, Secret, Brown Eye Girls, and T-ara! I just found out that episode 2 is subbed too, so i’ll post the video here too. I haven’t watched that episode yet, so my review on it will be at the end after I find time to watch it x]

I talked to my boyfriend this morning and felt like we had a good talk. I asked him if he wanted me to call about him paroling here and he said yes. I asked him if he really wanted to live with me and he said of course. But, low and behold I call and find out he has a parole site and it’s not here with me. I am not going to lie I got very angry and disappointed. At first at my boyfriend because he put my address and his mom’s address down. Then at his mom for calling nine times to make sure he was going to be living with her. But, I am feeling a bit better now. I’m going to call on Monday and see if they will tell me anything. But, I wrote him a letter saying that if he can’t live with me I still want us to get married and save up to get a place of our own. Plus, my mom said it is not set in stone so it can always be changed when he gets out.

This is excellent marketing, no denying, however is the product better than the promotion? Does it matter?

This week Madonna releases her third greatest hits collection, that’s 1,769 fewer than Elvis Presley. The logical step would be to make ‘Celebration’ a third volume of her greatest hits, a companion to ‘The Immaculate Collection’ and ‘GHV2′ but no, there are only three songs that didn’t feature on her previous greatest hits collections.

Admittedly compiling a whole CD of Madonna songs released since 2001 that people will actually want to listen to is a task equal to finding signs of intelligent life in an Akon song. But what other way can we teach the generation of tomorrow about Madonna?

What do we tell them about the best-selling female artist of all time? That there’s more to her than her frequent child-grabbing jaunts to Africa? Which although nobody can quite explain what is morally or ethically wrong about her doing so, the fact that she has the full support of the Daily Mail is vindication for the doubters.

Including a new song  is de rigeur for greatest hits compilations now (note that I didn’t say in vogue), so new single ‘Celebration’ is one of the three differences from GHV2/Immaculate Collection, along with

‘Hung Up’ and ‘4 Minutes’, none of which are worth parting with cash for. These are songs that don’t compare to ‘Material Girl’ or ‘Papa Don’t Preach’, hell, these are songs that don’t even compare to ‘La Isla Bonita’!

The whole compilation could serve as an advert for The Immaculate Collection, there’s good songs on Celebration for sure, but they already featured on the former. Almost as if Madonna knows in her heart what we’ve all been wrestling with for years: She’s rubbish now.

Madonna is the biggest argument for mandatory retirement ages, 1998’s Ray of Light was her last good album, since then we’ve had a trail of shudder inducing efforts with the occasional passable single as she continually reinvents herself: credible pop singer, cowboy, catwoman, englishwoman, guitarist, muscleman, film director’s wife, dance instructor (to the righteous disgust of millions), prune, child adopter, cactus, hotel porter, bicycle, dentist, the list goes on.

For those of us who used to listen to our grandparent’s stories of how her music used to be good, it’s mildly painful to watch and definitely frustrating, I mean what was American Life if not a smouldering pile of musical crap? The cover for Hard Candy could be confused with that of a magazine that was erroneously delivered to a newsagents I worked in at the time, called ‘65 and Up’.

But age shall not wither her, she’ll be releasing albums when she’s eighty (next year or something), which I guess I can live with, as long as she doesn’t release another ’sex’ book. I’m not sure I can guarantee that she won’t.

I dont generally post anything regarding Manchester United, but yesterday was bullsh*t of the highest order.Man U pulled out a win against Manchester City in the 6th minute of extra time..yes the 6th minute.There were only supposed to be 4 minutes(even that was too long) , but the referee counted wrong because he was distracted by Sir Alex’s finger mentally tickling his underballs.

Granted Man City should have lost the match anyway and managed to level the scores 3-3 at full time, but why the hell did the ref add so much extra time?..and it always happens when Man U are playing.Not complaining..just saying.

This is how I feel about speed dating.

People were urging me to join JDate. So I did. For seven minutes.  What turned me off online dating in those seven minutes was not the caliber of the candidates, nor was it a personal belief that I was not yet desperate enough to go that route.  Instead it was my laziness toward making a member profile.  I really didn’t feel like listing the qualities I look for in a man.  I’d rather be reading the “Real Estate” section of the Sunday Times.  Not interested in rejoining JDate, or any other online dating service for that matter, I researched another option: Speed Dating.

The organized structure of speed dating is so awkward that, as it turns out, it isn’t awkward at all.  Women sit at two-person tables and men play musical chairs, moving from table to table every four minutes.  There is no fluidity, no sashaying up behind a prospective romantic interest with a pick-up line or a drink offering.  Speed dating is methodical.  You have a number, a nametag, and a paper for checking yes or no.  Of course the decision making must be done as discreetly as possible, because the person being scored need only move his or her beer mug to see into which column the slash falls.

Matches are made online after the event ends.  Each participant checks off the names of the dates with whom he or she believes a connection was made, and if there is match, the speed dating company releases each participant’s email address to the other.  Then it’s up to the daters to pursue this “match,” or write off the experience as just another Wednesday night.

In my opinion, speed dating is rather cost effective.  When a $30 event promises 15 dates, that’s only $2 a date.  I’d say that’s a pretty cheap date.  Cheaper, anyway, than the dinner my friend was invited to where her date ordered bone marrow and caviar, (two dishes my friend makes it a point to avoid) and then was displeased she didn’t offer up her credit card.

In preparation for the event, I explored the dating company’s website for tips for the first time speed dater.  New York EasyDates suggests daters come prepared with several fallback conversation topics to use if things get awkward.  According to the site, the weather is always a great topic. The “Guide to Speed Dating” also gives appearance-related tips: “Hair that is too long, glittered or not clean is also not a good thing.” Have they had problems with glittery-haired individuals being rejected indiscriminately in the past?  I have to wonder how common this “glittered” hair is.  On second thought, I myself fell victim to this look circa 1999 after insisting my hairdresser give me gold highlights.  I wanted hair the color of winners.

The theme of my event was Single Professionals: vague, but one of the few categories for which I qualified.  There are a surprising number of events reserved for Tall Individuals.  I also had to scroll through the Cougar events as well as those designed for Ivy leaguers and singles with advanced degrees.

My date with “Eli” started painfully.  I described myself as a freelance food writer.  He responded: “You should do me!”  We were off to a great start.  Eli should have stuck to weather.  Instead he launched into discussing the weight loss that followed his most recent relationship.  He also slipped me his business card and invited me to be his lunch date the next day for restaurant week.  It’s amusing to me that with just four minutes to find a connection with someone, either romantic or platonic, one would choose to discuss a failed relationship and a struggle with weight.

Apparently I was not the only person with whom Eli felt a connection.  I attended the event with a close friend who was seated two tables from me, and after getting “Hello my name is…” out of the way, Eli declared to my friend, “You are the girl of my dreams! Where do I go from here?”  She directed him to table 12.

My conversation with “Scott” turned into networking.  He took pity on me after I made several comments about the difficult job market, and offered to send my resume to the human resources department of his advertising agency.

No pursuable matches were made, but I went on fifteen dates, had a few drinks, and confirmed my belief that there are some subjects better left to a fourth date.  At least.

Next time I’m going to pretend to be a firefighter.

Con el reciente Boom de Girl Groups que invade a Corea como SNSD,2NE1,Brown Eyed Girls y 4 Minutes se ha decidido emitir un episodio especial con grupos un poquitin diferentes(muuuy diferentes),en este episodio habra un stage entre los grupos y un VTR especial con “Chat of the Young Girls”.

Habran 5 grupos representativos en este episodio y cada grupo enviara entre 1 o 2 integrantes para participar en la filmación de este VTR.

The Queen of Pop publishes now a Greatest Hits album, which will be in stors  the 25th of September. In addition to all of their hits “Everybody” on “Express Yourself” to “4 Minutes” are also two new songs.
