With each point, the pressure grows. The wins are piling up, increasing the expectations. And the Chicago Blackhawks just keep going and going.

Looking down on the rest of the NHL, Marian Hossa and Co. show no signs of slowing down.

The Blackhawks set a franchise record with their 10th consecutive victory and extended their points streak to 29 games with a 5-3 win against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.

”It’s a great time right now,” said Hossa, who scored after he was honored in a pregame ceremony for playing in his 1,000th NHL game Sunday at Detroit. ”Everybody is hungry. We have a strong lineup and the guys are playing well.”

Bryan Bickell scored twice in the first period and Patrick Kane added a big goal in the third as Chicago (20-0-3) remained the only team in the league without a regulation loss. It also snapped a tie with the 1977-78 Montreal Canadiens for the second-longest points streak in league history.

”It doesn’t feel like we’re on a streak,” Bickell said. ”We’re just business, come to the rink and we’re going to do what we need to do.”

Ryan Suter scored his first goal with Minnesota, sending a power-play slap shot past a screened Corey Crawford in the third period. Kyle Brodziak then poked in his own rebound to get the Wild within one at 10:32.

But Kane beat Darcy Kuemper just 61 seconds later, sending a rebound into the upper right corner for his team-best 12th goal.

”Once they get their momentum going, they’re tough to slow down,” said Suter, who signed a big free-agent deal in the offseason and is tied for the team lead with 14 assists. ”You saw that in the third period. When they score a goal, we’ve got to come back and with a good shift to try to get the momentum back. They just have so much firepower.”

Brandon Saad had a goal and two assists for the Blackhawks, who host the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night. Crawford finished with 20 saves.

Kuemper, who replaced Niklas Backstrom at the start of the second period, had 14 stops for the Wild (11-9-2), who had won five of seven.

”We were not good,” Minnesota coach Mike Yeo said. ”It went beyond the first period, too, to be honest with you. We kind of made a game of it late there, but we definitely didn’t deserve this one.”

Matt Cullen helped Minnesota grab the lead in the first, poking the puck away from Andrew Shaw for a turnover in the Blackhawks’ end. Cullen then got it back and was stopped by Crawford, but Devin Setoguchi poked in the rebound to make it 1-0 at 8:22.

Chicago responded with four consecutive goals in a span of 5:43, showing off the depth and tenacity at the center of its long points streak. Coming against the talented Wild, one of three teams with a victory over the Blackhawks this season, it was quite the statement.

Saad kicked off the dizzying display when he followed his own backhand attempt with another one that found the back of the net at 13:02. Bickell then swept in another rebound 44 seconds later, and scored again at 17:12 when Saad got the puck away from the boards and found him for a wrister that went in off Backstrom’s left arm.

The Blackhawks tacked on another one when Jonathan Toews forced a turnover in the Minnesota end, and Saad made a nifty pass to Hossa for his 10th goal of the season. Chants of ”Hossa! Hossa!” cascaded down from the rafters as the right wing celebrated his first goal since he beat Edmonton in overtime on Feb. 25.

”We had some stretches, we made some real nice plays,” coach Joel Quenneville said. ”Got a little loose there on the (penalty kill) and they got a little momentum off that in the third, but good start.”

The night began with each of the Blackhawks wearing a No. 81 jersey during pregame warmups as the franchise honored Hossa for his milestone appearance. The 34-year-old forward was joined by his wife, Jana, and daughter Mia for the pregame ceremony, when he was presented a silver stick and a painting of when he hoisted the Stanley Cup for the first time in 2010.

Hossa, who signed a free-agent deal with Chicago in 2009, held Mia in his arms for much of the ceremony and maintained a stoic look as the crowd chanted his name in tribute.

”It was a special night for me, for my family,” He said. ”It was amazing to have my wife and daughter right there with me at the ceremony. It was a nice, warm welcoming by the fans and I enjoyed it.”

Sometimes getting booed brings out the best of you. Chris Bosh had LeBron James to learn from, and the two teamed up with Dwyane Wade for a Fantasy Big Three night in Toronto, leading the Miami Heat to their 10th consecutive win against the Raptors.

Since Chris Bosh left the Raptors for the Heat in the summer of 2010, the Heat are 9-0 against the Raptors. 5-0 at home and 4-0 on the road. Note that Bosh didn’t play in one of those Heat games at the Raptors, so he is 3-0 on the road against the Raptors. Bosh isn’t exactly the hated person LeBron James is in Cleveland, but he has a tendency to bring his best against the Raptors. Bosh is averaging 27.7 points per game on 56.6% from the field during his visits to Toronto.

Bosh finished with 28 points and 5 rebounds, looking aggressive like never before, or at least more than before, scoring 28 points or more for just the fourth time this season.

I was hearing a lot from the fans. I thank them for continuing to stay on me and call me names and stuff because that helped my focus a lot. I was like ‘I need to get in this to shut them up.

LeBron James, as always and as expected, was the main man, despite all the focus on Bosh. James finished with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, scoring at least 23 points in nine consecutive games. He’s averaging 26.6 points per game this season, also helping the Heat reach 30-14 this season (12-11 on the road), making it so Erik Spoelstra can go to Houston and coach the East in the All-Star game.

It’s a testament to our coaches’ preparedness. As players we go out there and just try to execute their game plan. We’re happy for them.

The Heat didn’t look too worried about losing to both the Celtics and the Pacers on their road trip. Seasoned teams and especially champions have complete faith in their ability to “turn it up” when an important game arrives, and especially the postseason. The Heat had their problems last season as well, and in the one before. They’ve never reached the playoffs with the big three as the number one seed, although it might change this year, according to the standings at the moment.

Dwyane Wade chipped in with 23 points, making it 81 for the big three. It’s very hard to beat Miami when all three of them have a night like this, combining for 32-53 from the field (60.3%). Miami are also almost impossible to beat when they reach 100 points, winning 100-85: They’ve won 24 out of their 26 games this season when scoring in triple digits.

After a four game road trip, they now head back home for games against the Bobcats, Rockets, Clippers, Lakers and Blazers, where they have an 18-3 record. It’s going to be a case of managing energy between efforts, but coming out of this stretch with five more wins might give them quite a boost for the final stretch of the season, in the chase for the top spot in the East, fending away the competition for the Bulls and the Knicks.

LeBron James has proved he is one of the greatest players in National Basketball Association history and passed the 20,000 point mark this week. I think James has a very real chance to challenge the NBA scoring record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James became the youngest player to reach 20,000 and if he can keep up his scoring for the next five to seven years, the possibility is definitely there.

James is a player that is difficult to stop for any player and he has shown that even after moving to the Miami Heat. I think the next big step for James would be to see where he is at when he reaches 30,000 points. If James can be at 30,000 points by the age of 33, I think that he will break the scoring record. James just turned 28 in December and he probably will have to play until he is 38 or 39 to have any chance for the record.

I feel confident that James will make it into his mid-30s but maybe not 38 or 39. The drive to at least pass Michael Jordan on the scoring list will keep James in the game longer. James could end his career being a better player than Jordan which would be high praise from me as I think Jordan is the best player in NBA history. I want to see James get close to the record at the least and breaking the record would just be icing on the cake for me. While fans hated the decision, James is showing that all that negative publicity isn’t hurting him in filling the hoop up.

Back in July, two weeks before the 49ers began we ran a post on the 49ers running backs that included a poll about Anthony Dixon’s future. 77% of voters felt that Dixon would not be on the 49ers 53-man roster when the 2012 regular season got started. I remained convinced for much of camp that Rock Cartwright was going to grab the RB/ST spot given his veteran status.

How wrong a lot of us were.

Anthony Dixon has always been a big personality on the 49ers, but for fans, he always seemed stuck on the roster bubble, just as likely to be bounced off the team as to stick around. He was an exuberant presence on special teams, but he never quite seemed to be the guy to break through as a running back.

Turns out it really wasn’t necessary. Dixon became proactive this past training camp and asked for work as a fullback. He may or may not have benefited from Brandon Jacobs injury in the preseason, but either way he was on the roster.

Boobie Dixon has not been a huge contributor in the running game, but when given modest opportunities, he has done some solid work. This led to one of my favorite plays this past Sunday against the Falcons. The 49ers faced 3rd and 1 on the Falcons 29, with ten minutes remaining and the 49ers trailing 24-21. One yard is not a big deal, but to give Dixon a shot in there said plenty about the coaching staff’s belief in Dixon. Dixon busted through the hole for four yards, and the 49ers would go on to score a touchdown on the drive.

Beyond these occasional short yardage plays, Dixon has been a strong part of a special teams coverage unit that has bounced back after a poor start. After a 2011 season that saw historic dominance in punt coverage, the unit struggled out of the gate in 2012. However, a strong second half helped Andy Lee earn another All-Pro honor.

Special teams will be a big key against the Ravens, as Jacoby Jones put together a strong 2012 campaign. His best work is as a kick returner, where he led the NFL at 30.7 yards a pop, but his punt return work is very solid as well. Anthony Dixon will continue doing the dirty work, but he has a chance to be a pertinent part of further 49ers success.

For the next two weeks, this is Ray Lewis‘ world. We’re just covering it.

You have to hand it to the old linebacker. What he now lacks in physical talent, he makes up with miles of charisma. Actually, charisma isn’t the right word. Ray Lewis transcends charisma. His personality traits no longer are contained by the English language.

Who else tearfully emotes to the heavens with a wild glint in his eye … during “The Star-Spangled Banner”? Who can turn even the most mundane question from a media member into a rambling, emotional monologue about faith, trust and perseverance?

Call it the passion of the Ray.

“For me to come out and say that this is my last ride and for me now to be headed back to the Super Bowl for me possibly winning a second ring, how else do you cap off a career?” Lewis said following the Baltimore Ravens‘ 28-13 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday night. “How else do you honor your fans and give them everything they cheer for?

“Baltimore is one of the most loyal places since 1996 that I’ve ever been around. And the greatest reward you could ever give them is another chance at a Super Bowl. So man, the last ride? I can only tell you I’m along for the ride.”

It’s classic Ray Lewis. It’s hard to tell exactly what he’s talking about, but you can feel it. Maybe.

For the other Ravens, these playoffs are about giving Lewis a storybook ending to his career. He said Sunday it can be difficult walking into a locker room sometimes, knowing so many players want a moment of his time. That’s kind of an odd thing to say, but then again, few players have ever commanded more respect in a locker room than No. 52.

“I’ve always said, ‘When you leave your legacy, what will your legacy be?’ ” Lewis said. “And to hear men tell you they love you. And to hear men tell you they respect the life that you live. It’s the ultimate.”

Everything Ray Lewis says sounds like the final speech from your favorite sports movie. Now we get to sit back and see how it all ends.

A “Pawn Stars” wedding for Rick Harrison has finally been negotiated, well, planned. And as you guessed, Chumlee has a part in Rick Harrison’s nuptials. The reality television star and his bride-to-be, Deanna Burditt, are getting hitched in July, the same month as Kim Kardashian’s due date. What would a “Pawn Stars” wedding be without Harrison’s whimiscal co-star.

People shared the anticipated news on Jan. 17 about the couple’s nuptials. The site says that Rick Harrison and Deanna Burditt are exchanging vows on July 21. And as you know, all eyes are on another reality television star’s due date.

Hold on; here’s a bit of not-so-good news: Although hardcore “Pawn Stars” fans wanted a wedding in Las Vegas, the couple decided to get married in Laguna Beach at the Ritz Carlton. With his new-found celebrity, perhaps he wants to rub elbows with other Hollywood elites…like a boss.

Harrison said this:

A Cleveland stripper died after attempting a tricky move during a lap dance that caused her to fall 15 feet from a balcony, according to MetroHealth Medical Center.

Lauren Block, 22, died Wednesday from major head trauma. She’d been in critical condition since her Jan. 2 fall, said the medical center.

Block’s family released the following statement:

“We would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support and prayers for Lauren. She … is an organ donor, and we hope this will enable her to save many lives and live on through others. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at MetroHealth. They worked tirelessly to do all they could to save her life. We ask that the media respect our privacy during this difficult time. We know that she’s in God’s hands.”

Block was entertaining a customer on the second floor of Christie’s Cabaret at 12:40 a.m. on Jan. 2 when she attempted a “jump-dance” move that misfired, the man getting the lap dance told police.

“He stated that she grabbed the rail, as he was facing away from the balcony, and she tried to complete some sort of jump-dance move, and accidentally went head first over the rail,” a Cleveland Police Department incident report said.

Block suffered “massive head trauma” and was lying on the floor of the club when police and paramedics arrived, according to the report.

She was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition for a week.

Cleveland Police said they were no longer investigating the incident, which they view as an accident.

Christie’s Cabaret, a chain of “Gentlemen’s clubs,” has not responded to ABC News’ requests for comment.

A tight-knit, one-road Georgia island has been rocked by the mysterious death of a town official who was known as a family man and church leader.

The body of Tom Sublett, 52, was found floating in a marina less than a mile from his home on the picturesque St. Simons Island, Ga., on Dec. 11. He was found with his hands bound in front of him and with a gunshot wound to the head. An autopsy concluded he died by drowning, authorities said.

His silver Toyota was about 150 yards away. Sublett’s wife Carol had reported him missing the night before when he didn’t come home from a regular poker game.

“This is a small community that basically has one road on and off the island and only one road that goes the full length of the island,” a longtime friend, Cap Fendig, told ABCNews.com. “It’s a shocking event. Crime, certainly violent crime, is almost totally unheard of.”

Sublett was the Glynn County Commissioner and was serving the final month of his four-year term when he died.

The Glynn County Police Department released a list of evidence that was found at the death scene, including blood samples, a laptop, a gun holster, magazine rounds and empty prescription bottles. There is no gun on the evidence list and authorities will not comment on whether a weapon has been found.

Fendig, 58, is a life-long resident of the island and said he had been friends with Sublett for many years. Fendig served as county commissioner for eight years.

“I was quite shocked and very upset at the loss of a friend and the possibility that he was murdered,” Fendig said. “He was a nice guy, a good leader, open-minded, a strong leader in the church, had a big family and long community ties. It’s just not the norm.”

Fendig said he last communicated with Sublett about a week before his death. He emailed him to thank him for his service as county commissioner and said they should go fishing once his term was up. He said Sublett replied that he looked forward to doing that.

Fendig’s brother, also a close friend of Sublett’s, saw him the day of his death. The two men pulled up beside each other at a stop light, waved and then chatted on the phone for a few minutes.

Fendig’s brother said there was “no indication” from that conversation that anything was wrong or unusual with Sublett.

The case has been classified a “death investigation,” according to spokesman John Bankhead of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). The GBI is leading the investigation.

Despite a $50,000 reward offered for information in the town, Bankhead said that “very little, if any, information” has come in.

Police have been tight-lipped about the case, leading many on the island of about 18,000 people to speculate.

“They have not [said much] and that leaves more to the imagination,” Fendig said.

Fendig said unsubstantiated rumors are circulating about possible financial troubles, an insurance policy, real estate problems and family issues. There has also been speculation in the community about whether the death was a murder or a suicide. The Sublett family did not respond to a request for comment.

“People are clear that this wasn’t an impulsive or random act of violence. It either was self-inflicted or a professional hit,” Fendig said, based on the amount of evidence at the scene.

“It’s left the community very unsettled,” he said. “He was an elected official, a leader in his church and, on the surface, a strong family guy. It’s very disconcerting for everyone.”

Authorities have found the body of Alyssa Byrne, the 19-year-old California woman who had been missing since New Year’s Eve.

Byrne, of Petaluma, Calif., was last seen by friends at Snow Globe, a three-day music festival in South Lake Tahoe, Nev., that attracts thousands of people, police said. One friend says Byrne quietly disappeared from her group of friends around 11:30 p.m. that night without saying a word.

Her body was discovered by a utility worker in a snow bank along the road between the Snow Globe Festival and a hotel, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department said in a news conference today, according to ABC affiliate KGO-TV in San Francisco. No foul play is suspected and the family has been notified.

Police are investigating Byrne’s cellphone activity, which shows calls were placed around midnight Monday after she was last seen. Investigators are unsure, however, whether the phone was used by Byrne or someone else.

Byrne reportedly told friends she was returning to the group’s hotel, the Horizon Casino Resort, in Stateline.

“She basically just left and I called her back and she was on the bus back to the hotel,” said Jay Donnellan, according to KGO-TV.

When Donnellan returned to the hotel around 12:30 a.m., Byrne was not in her room.

“Once we got back to the room, we noticed she wasn’t there. We were calling her, back-to-back, sending her text messages,” Donnellan told KGO.

Byrne’s family in Petaluma said before today’s discovery that she had no history of running away.

A rookie teacher has been accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student.

Kayla Trueblood, 22, who is in her first year as a teacher in Mossville, Illinois, was arrested after officials were tipped about the sexual affair.

One of the sexual encounters is reported to have taken place in a classroom after other students had gone home for the day.

New on campus: This 22-year-old rooky teacher at Mossville Junior High in Illinois has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student

Police said the student involved in the affair was not a pupil at the Mossville Junior High school where she taught ‘gifted’ children.

Investigators said Trueblood was cooperative while being questioned.

School chiefs said they were ‘disappointed’ by the situation’ and sent a letter to parents informing them of the teacher’s arrest.

‘We were first made aware yesterday morning, and then we immediately called the Sheriff’s Department and brought them in,’ said Nick Polyak, superintendent of Illinois Valley Central District 321.

‘We’re disappointed by the situation. Disappointed to have this happened with a staff member, and (we) feel bad for the student and the family that are involved.’

Polyak said Trueblood was the gifted education teacher at the school and worked with fourth through eighth grade students.

Trueblood was in her first year of teaching at Mossville after earning a degree from Eureka College in 2011.

According to her bio on the school website she tutored and worked at a summer camp before becoming a teacher at Mossville.

The biography also said Trueblood was a student in District 321 and currently served as the junior high scholastic bowl coach.

Trueblood was charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Security is tight in Mumbai as large crowds gather for the funeral of Hindu nationalist politician Bal Thackeray.

India’s financial capital has come to a virtual halt, with businesses closed and taxis staying off the streets.

Thackeray, who had been ill for some months and died on Saturday aged 86, was revered by followers as the founder of the right-wing Shiv Sena party

But his fiery rhetoric was blamed for inciting tensions between Hindus and Muslims during the 1993 Mumbai riots.

Some 900 people died in the sectarian bloodshed.

Never convicted

Large numbers of police were deployed in Mumbai to ensure security during Sunday’s funeral and cremation.

Tens of thousands of people reportedly lined the road to Shivaji Park to pay their respects as the body of Thackeray – still sporting his trademark sunglasses and covered in the national flag – was carried by.

A cartoonist by trade, Mr Thackeray formed the Shiv Sena in 1966, partly with a view to keeping South Indian migrants out of Maharashtra state and to halt the spread of Islam.

The BBC’s Yogita Limaye says Mumbai is preparing for a “major funeral”

In 2002 and again in 2008, he called on Hindus to form suicide squads to attack Muslims.

A government inquiry into the riots in Mumbai in 1992 and 1993 blamed Shiv Sena members and several party leaders for taking a major role in organising attacks on Muslims.

Mr Thackeray was never convicted of any offence in connection with the riots.

He denied being anti-Muslim but said he was fiercely opposed to those who were pro-Pakistan.

“Only Marathis [residents of Maharashtra] have the first right over Mumbai,” Mr Thackeray wrote last year in the Shiv Sena newspaper.

He was also instrumental in the renaming of Bombay as Mumbai to break with its colonial past.

Antivirus pioneer John McAfee is on the run from murder charges, Belize police say. According to Marco Vidal, head of the national police force’s Gang Suppression Unit, McAfee is a prime suspect in the murder of American expatriate Gregory Faull, who was gunned down Saturday night at his home in San Pedro Town on the island of Ambergris Caye.

Details remain sketchy so far, but residents say that Faull was a well-liked builder who hailed originally from California Florida. The two men had been at odds for some time. Last Wednesday, Faull filed a formal complaint against McAfee with the mayor’s office, asserting that McAfee had fired off guns and exhibited “roguish behavior.” Their final disagreement apparently involved dogs.

UPDATE: Here is the official police statement:

MURDER
On Sunday the 11th November, 2012 at 8:00am acting upon information received, San Pedro Police visited 5 ¾ miles North of San Pedro Town where they saw 52 year old U.S National Mr. GREGORY VIANT FAULL, of the said address, lying face up in a pool of blood with an apparent gunshot wound on the upper rear part of his head apparently dead. Initial investigation revealed that on the said date at 7:20am LUARA TUN, 39years, Belizean Housekeeper of Boca Del Rio Area, San Pedro Town went to the house of Mr. Faull to do her daily chores when she saw him laying inside of the hall motionless, Faull was last seen alive around 10:00pm on 10.11.12 and he lived alone. No signs of forced entry was seen, A (1) laptop computer brand and serial number unknown and (1) I-Phone was discovered missing. The body was found in the hall of the upper flat of the house. A single luger brand 9 mm expended shells was found at the first stairs leading up to the upper flat of the building. The body of Faull was taken to KHMH Morgue where it awaits a Post Mortem Examination. Police have not established a motive so far but are following several leads.

As we reported last week, McAfee has become increasingly estranged from his fellow expatriates in recent years. His behavior has become increasingly erratic, and by his own admission he had begun associating with some of the most notorious gangsters in Belize.

Since our piece ran on last week, several readers have come forward with additional information that sheds light on the change in McAfee’s behavior. In July of 2010, shortly before Allison Adonizio pulled the plug on their quorum-sensing project and fled the country, McAfee began posting on a drug-focused Russian-hosted message board called Bluelight about his attempts to purify the psychoactive compounds colloquially known as “bath salts.”

Writing under the name “stuffmonger,” a handle he has used on other online message boards, McAfee posted more than 200 times over the next nine months about his ongoing quest to purify psychoactive drugs from compounds commercially available over the internet. “I’m a huge fan of MDPV,” he wrote. “I think it’s the finest drug ever conceived, not just for the indescribable hypersexuality, but also for the smooth euphoria and mild comedown.”

Elsewhere, he described his pursuit of “super perv powder” and warned about the dangers of handling the freebase version of the drug: “I had visual and auditory hallucinations and the worst paranoia of my life.” He recommended that the most effective way to take a dose is via rectal insertion, a procedure known as “plugging,” writing: “Measure your dose, apply a small amount of saliva to just the tip of your middle finger, press it against the dose, insert. Doesn’t really hurt as much as it sounds. We’re in an arena (drugs/libido) that I navigate as well as anyone on the planet here. If you take my advice about this (may sound gross to some of you perhaps), you will be well rewarded.”

Just before posting for the last time on April 1, 2011 (a date that for McAfee may well have been freighted with intentional significance), Stuffmonger identified himself as “John” and described his work pursuing quorum-sensing compounds and posted photos of his property in Orange Walk. In signing off, he explained that “the on-line world is more of a distraction than the self induced effects of the many experiments I’ve done using my own body over the past year or so, and I have work to do.”

MDPV, which was recently banned in the US but remains legal in Belize, belongs to a class of drugs called cathinones, a natural source of which is the East African plant khat. Users report that it is a powerfully mind-altering substance. In the comments section to my last Gizmodo piece, reader fiveseven15 writes: “mdpv is serious shit. would explain his paranoia and erraticness. i’ve been thru that. i played with mdpv for about two weeks, then started seeing shadow people in the corner of my eye, and what amphetamine heads call ‘tree-cops’… its essentially really, REALLY f-ed up meth.”

On his website, addiction specialist Paul Earley warns about the dangers of MDPV: “Our experience clearly warns of the psychiatric and medical dangers of this drug. We have cared for multiple patients who have abused MDPV; they report intense and unpleasant visual hallucinations after a short binge. The drug feels non-toxic with its first use, but following a moderate binge users suffer mild to moderate paranoia… in about 10% of individuals who use higher doses, we have observed a sustained psychotic state with intense anxiety lasting 3 to 7 days.”

McAfee’s intensive use of psychosis-inducing hallucinogens would go a long way toward explaining his growing estrangement from his friends and from the community around him. If he was producing large quantities of these chemicals, as implied on Bluelight, that would also shed light on his decision to associate with some of Belize’s most hardened drug-gang members.

McAfee’s purported interest in extracting medicine from jungle plants provided him a wholesome justification for building a well-equipped chemistry lab in a remote corner of Belize. The specific properties of the drugs he was attempting to isolate also fit in well with what those closest to him have reported: that he is an enthusiastic amateur pharmacologist with a longstanding interest in drugs that induce sexual behavior in women. Indeed, former friends of McAfee have said he could be extremely persistent and devious in trying to coerce women who rebuff his advances to have sex with him.

One other aspect of Stuffmonger’s postings gibe with McAfee’s general MO: his compulsion for making outrageous or simply erroneous assertions, even attached to subjects about which he is being generally sincere. Along with photographs of his lab near Orange Walk, for instance, he posted a picture of a decrepit thatched-roof hut and described it as original home in Belize. He seemed similarly to have embellished his descriptions of his feats of chemical prowess on the Bluelight discussion board, and this ultimately aroused the suspicions of his fellow posters. “Stuffmonger’s claims were discredited,” a senior moderator later wrote, “and he vanished.”

It seems to have come to him in a moment of illumination.

For Jermaine Jackson has lodged legal papers in a bid to change the spelling of his last name to ‘Jacksun.’

The bizarre move has purportedly been made for ‘artistic reasons,’  and if it is successful then his passport, bank cards and other documents will boast the new moniker.

The 57-year-old brother of the late Prince of Pop Michael filed his petition at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, according to TMZ.

A hearing has been scheduled to determine the outcome of his request.

If it is approved the singer will have to publicly announce his name change several times in either a magazine or newspaper over the next few months before it becomes official.

Jermaine became famous as a member of The Jackson 5 in 1968, before splitting the band to strike out on his own in 1975.

He recently released his new album of classic jazz songs I Wish You Love and is currently performing in Europe as part of The Jackson’s Unity Tour with his brothers Jackie, Marlon and Tito.

It remains unclear whether the outfit will change their name to ‘The Jacksons and Jacksun’ in light of the change.

The band have been performing all of their biggest hits including ‘ABC’, ‘I Want You Back’ and ‘I’ll Be There’ as part of the remembrance tour for their late younger brother Michael, who died in 2009.

Jermaine has also been performing some of his solo music during the tour.

On December 11th, Skylar Grey will release “C’Mon Let Me Ride,” the lead single from her debut album Don‘t Look Down. The playful pop tune, which Grey calls “an X-rated kids’ song,” features Eminem singing a famous refrain: the hook of Queen’s “Bicycle Race.”

Grey tells Rolling Stone that idea of including the chorus came from Eminem, who executive-produced the album. “That was an Eminem move. The first time I heard his verse, he had added that part in as well and it made me laugh, so we kept it,” she says. She also opted to keep his vocals instead of Mercury’s originals. “I love hearing Marshall change his voice like that and just, like, be a character, play a character, so I thought that was funnier, personally.”

The satirical song, a jab at “overly sexified music, media and the girls who try and imitate it,” may surprise many who are familiar with Grey from her more modest days recording as Holly Brook and her Buried Sessions of Skylar Grey EP. She credits Eminem partially for that.

“I’ve learned from Em I can have more fun,” she says. “He’s very sarcastic and makes me laugh all the time and there are parts of my attitude I have in person but I’ve never shown in a song. I feel like he showed me I don’t have to be afraid to show that side.” Previously, Grey performed with Eminem and Dr. Dre at the 2011 Grammys and wrote Eminem’s smash single “Love the Way You Lie.”

“I’m grateful and blessed to have [Eminem] on my side because not only is he one of the biggest artists in the world, but I also really trust his ears and sensibilities, which is a hard thing to find,” she explains. “Marshall can hear gold through the shittiest-sounding recordings.”

Eminem has faith in Grey, as well. “When I was working on Recovery, I was introduced to Skylar by Alex Da Kid and I was blown away with her talent as both a songwriter and vocalist,” says the rapper in a press release. “This album is really going to give her a chance to connect with the fans who probably know her music but might not know her yet. I think they will be as impressed as I am.”

The title of Don’t Look Down comes from the song “Tower,” one of four holdovers from Invincible, an album she originally intended to release as her debut under the Skylar Grey moniker (it was ultimately scrapped). “I think a song that can make it through the past year that I’ve had of writing new songs and throwing ones away is worth having the album title named after,” she says.

“I put out [the single] ‘Invisible’ and I was feeling like I was so busy promoting an album and a song and I felt like I hadn’t finished my album yet,” she says. “So I kind of took a step back and had a conversation with Jimmy [Iovine] and he was totally on my side. He said, ‘Look, this is your first album; it has to be exactly what you want it to be.’ So we mutually agreed to slow down the whole process and let me take my time finishing the songs until I felt like it was there.”

Grey found her comfort zone again by collaborating with hit songwriter J.R. Rotem. “He had invited me to come to the studio to sing something for him and it was the first time we met,” she says. “We really hit it off and a couple of the best songs on the album ['Wear Me Out' and 'Back From the Dead'] came from those sessions.”

Don‘t Look Down, Grey says, explores the breadth of her musical abilities. “I think the album is a bit more playful than people are expecting, but ‘C’Mon Let Me Ride’ is about as far as I take that,” she says. “You get to see the full spectrum of my multiple personalities. There’s definitely a good balance between all the dark stuff that I do; that’s what everybody knows of me.”

Millions of Afghans have watched a German-born Afghan win the country’s first professional men’s boxing match in the capital Kabul.

Hamid Rahimi beat Tanzanian Said Mbelwa for the World Boxing Organisation Intercontinental middleweight belt.

The match, which would have been banned under Taliban rule, took place amid tight security in the capital.

After the fight, Mr Rahimi described the win as a fresh beginning for the country.

“Today it’s a start,” he said.

“This belt is not mine, this belt is Afghanistan’s, it’s yours. I love you.”

The match was broadcast live, with millions of Afghans across the country reportedly tuning in to watch.

Prominent Afghan figures, including MPs and deputy ministers, watched the fight live at the venue.

Organisers dubbed the bout a “Fight 4 Peace” and said it was being hosted to make a statement of freedom to take part in sport in a country blighted by war and militancy for decades.

The Taliban banned boxing towards the end of their rule.

‘Important message’

Tickets for the fight sold out, attracting interest from fans all over the country. One man told the BBC that he had risked a Taliban attack to make the journey from Logar province with his nine-year-old son.

Sabrina Saqib, a female former MP and professional volleyball player, said Afghanistan was eager for a sign of normal life.

”The world always sees Afghanistan through the window of war. So this game changes that. Although this was a fight, this was a fight for peace. [...] This is a huge achievement. Afghanistan has a young and talented generation who seek peace and stability,” she told the BBC.

Mbelwa, 23, fights in the super-middleweight division and has a record of 31 fights with 19 wins, eight losses and four draws.

Rahimi is six years older than his opponent and has won 20 of his 21 fights.

Ahead of the fight, Mbelwa said that he understood that the occasion was “a very special event for Afghanistan and sent a very important message for the whole world” but vowed to fight as hard as any other match once in the ring.

In the event, he was forced to admit defeat in the seventh round after retreating to his corner with a shoulder injury.
