Ho piazzato 43 potenziali televisori. Anche due tre per volta. Ovviamente i migliori, senza discriminazione di tecnologia né di prezzo. Tutti ad un unico uomo. Un padre di famiglia che mi faceva visita ogni settimana.

Si aggira nel reparto con occhi accesi e concentrati. Ostenta grande preparazione e appunta tutto sul suo taccuino. Noi stampiamo i cartellini, lui li trascrive per memoria futura.

Mi adocchia, fa tanti giri di avvicinamento. E’ ormai a pochi centimetri, alza la testa dal taccuino, finge di essere colto di sorpresa, un saluto di complicità e sorride perché oggi è la volta buona.

Sta per prendere un led, poi sente l’esigenza di avere tante scart e non se ne fa niente.

Sta per prendere un plasma gigante, poi avverte un dubbio sullo spazio che ha a disposizione.

Eccolo che punta su un lcd con dentro anche l’apriscatole, non analogico ma digitale, ma la moglie ha già un apriscatole.

Siamo arrivati al punto che abbiamo invertito i ruoli. Io cerco di dissuaderlo e quello cerca di convincermi che finalmente ha trovato l’articolo giusto per lui.

Ci lasciamo con una stretta di mano forte e prolungata. C’eravamo! Ci ha fottuti la traversa, l’arbitro, il campo malmesso e prima o poi lo beccheremo lo stronzo che c’ha rigato la fiancata. Prima o poi ce la prendiamo una sbronza insieme, che programmi hai per l’estate. Tutto in una pacca sulla spalla.

E’ da un po’ che non ritorna. Mi fa stare in pena. Forse gli hanno regalato un tv, fottendo tutto il suo lavoro di ricerca e derubricazione di copie manoscritte di cartellini. Maledetti, quell’uomo era ad un passo dal suo sogno e sarei stato io a portarcelo. Maledetti.

E’ un giorno infrasettimanale, spento, poca gente. Poche teste che si muovono tra le corsie impallate dagli schermi. Ma una testa di quelle la riconosco, mi è familiare. Me ne sto fermo. So che tra poco i suoi giri da ape malandrina convergeranno su di me. Sono fermo al mio posto, tutto fremente, presto una mano mi calerà sulla schiena e io mi scioglierò.

Non arriva. Sono impaziente e guardo. E’ a limite della mia giurisdizione. E’ quasi nell’area computer. Ho un sospetto, ma non voglio credergli. La direzione del suo sguardo mi insospettisce, non ci credo. Passeggio disinteressato e mi avvicino. Ha con sè un bambino. Non posso credere che tu voglia fargli questo. Sono a breve distanza e ormai non ho dubbi. Ha un monitor-tv tra le mani, l’orrorifico monitor col sintonizzatore tv, cosa devo credere adesso?

Il commesso gli passa la bolla, una scarica di dolore mi attraversa il petto, ci porto una mano su per tenermelo. Lui sta passando accanto a me, sono solo una pietra ma da una crepa riesco a chidergli “Posso aiutarla?” e la pietra si frantuma quando mi sento rispondere “Lei lavora qui?”.

Io non mollo, ti aspetto. Ritorna. Ci sono ancora tante tv da rimpallarci. Lo so che non eri tu, è solo un’incredibile somiglianza… In fondo hai 43 fratelli, no?

(from Mercedes-Benz Press Release) In the German Touring Car Championships (DTM) the new AMG C-Class ensures exciting motor racing at the highest level, and now its roadgoing sister model is celebrating its debut: the new C 63 AMG. Its AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine develops a peak output of 336 kW/457 hp and a maximum torque of 600 newton metres – unrivalled figures in this segment. Accordingly the C 63 AMG accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. In conjunction with an all-new front axle, speed-sensitive AMG sports steering and the new, 3-stage ESP Ò, the AMG sports suspension ensures both outstanding driving enjoyment and exemplary handling dynamics. A combination of expressive design, a decidedly sporty interior and a high level of everyday practicality makes the C 63 AMG a unique high-performance car. The market launch will commence in early 2008.

With the new C 63 AMG, Mercedes-AMG GmbH is making a confident statement to mark the 40th birthday of the company. The new V8 flagship model is now the fifth generation of the AMG C-Class, whose family tree goes back to the C 36 AMG of 1993 – the very first vehicle developed as a cooperative venture between Daimler-Benz and AMG.

Merely the appearance of the C 63 AMG is impressive enough, with its wide, road-hugging stance. The new bonnet with its prominent power domes conceals the independently developed AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine, which develops a fulminating 336 kW/457 hp at 6800 rpm from a displacement of 6208 cubic centimetres. In this respect the C 63 AMG comes very close to the 470 or so horsepower delivered by the AMG C-Class racing touring car in the DTM series. This high output also benefits the power-to-weight ratio, which is a very favourable 3.6 kg/hp.

The torque developed by the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine need fear no comparison either. The maximum of 600 newton metres at 5000 rpm is unrivalled in this class, and the torque curve is equally impressive: from 2000 to 6250 rpm the driver always has more than 500 newton metres on tap – ideal for powerful acceleration in any engine speed range.

V8 with thoroughbred racing technology and a designer exhaust note

Introduced in 2005, the V8 engine is installed in numerous AMG high-performance cars and excels with its thoroughbred motor sports technology.

Perfect cylinder charging is guaranteed by the vertical arrangement of the intake and exhaust ducts, as well as the magnesium variable intake manifold with two integral throttle flaps. Other high-tech features include variable camshaft adjustment, four-valve technology with bucket-type tappets, a particularly rigid aluminium crankcase of closed-deck design and the low-friction TWAS coating on the cylinder contact surfaces.
Among the particular strengths of the AMG V8 engine are outstanding responsiveness and enormous pulling power – by virtue of its large displacement, it develops over 30 percent more torque than comparable engines in this performance class. Electronically controlled fuel delivery is another reason for the outstanding agility and responsiveness to movements of the accelerator. With its sporty AMG sound, which was designed-in during a series of sophisticated trials, this eight-cylinder powerpack from Affalterbach offers the unique excitement of a fast-revving, naturally aspirated engine – an audible and immediate experience whether at low, medium or high engine speeds.

In the interests of optimal reliability, the C 63 AMG has a particularly efficient water cooling system and large engine and transmission oil coolers. Located behind the large apertures in the AMG front apron, these coolers ensure non-critical operating temperatures at all times – even under the extreme stress of the racetrack.

Like all AMG high-performance engines, the AMG 6.3-litre V8 is built in the AMG engine shop on the traditional “one man, one engine” principle. This means that one technician is responsible for hand-assembling a complete V8 engine to the highest quality standards – which is attested to by his signature on the AMG engine plate.

AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC with blipping function

This high-performance eight-cylinder engine has the perfect partner in the form of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission. Equipped with AMG steering wheel shift paddles and three driving modes, the seven-speed automatic transmission allows a decidedly sporty or more comfort-oriented style of driving according to the driver’s preference. The different modes – “S” (Sport), ” C” (Comfort) and “M” (Manual) differ in their shift characteristics and speed: gearshifts in “S” mode are around 30 percent faster than in “C”, and no less than around 50 percent faster in “M” mode.

Pressing a button is sufficient to activate the desired driving programme.

The new C 63 AMG is the very first AMG car to feature an automatic throttle-blipping function during downshifts. This not only enhances the driver’s emotional experience – the almost completely jolt-free downshifting process also reduces the load-change responses and has a particularly positive effect when braking before bends on the racetrack.

Redesigned front axle with 35-millimetre wider track

The C 63 AMG owes its outstanding handling dynamics to the AMG sports suspension and an all-new three-link front axle design. The stiff configuration of the springs and gas-pressure shock absorbers ensures optimal road contact and low body movements when negotiating serpentine bends at speed. The new front axle has a 35-millimetre wider track – visible by the more widely flared wheel arches – and therefore ensures lower dynamic wheel loads when cornering. A number of features make for substantially more stability and precision in all driving situations: the redesigned wheel location at the front axle is 100 percent more rigid, leading to a considerable improvement in steering precision. Another benefit makes itself felt when braking, as the new wheel location ensures an immediate response even under high dynamic stresses.

In combination with completely newly configured elasto-kinematics, the new wheel location provides greatly improved lateral dynamics and allows the driver of the C 63 AMG to benefit from significantly higher cornering speeds. A larger torsion bar stabiliser, new head bearings and dampers with rebound buffer springs further enhance this stability and precision. Steering feedback is also improved by the new kinematics. The speed-sensitive AMG sports steering has a ratio of 13.5:1, but feels more direct as a result of moving what is termed the instant centre of motion at the front axle. A more rigid Hardy disc in the steering column, as well as modified steering characteristics, make a further contribution to increased precision.

The multi-link independent rear suspension has also been thoroughly re-engineered, with a twelve-millimetre wider track and more camber leading to improved cornering performance. Reinforced drive shafts and drive joints increase fatigue strength and round off the improvements to the rear suspension of the C 63 AMG.

The completely newly developed AMG sports suspension combines outstanding handling dynamics with the long-distance comfort to be expected of a Mercedes – which also means that the C 63 AMG has the characteristic virtues of a genuine AMG.

18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, 19-inch wheel/tyre combination on request

The C 63 AMG is appropriately fitted with new, 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a five-spoke design. Painted in titanium grey, these high-sheen wheels in size 8.0 x 18 and 8.5 x 18 are shod with wide-base tyres in size 235/40 R 18 (front) and 255/35 R 18 (rear). Even more dynamic handling is made possible by the optionally available 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a multi-spoke design. The front wheels are in size 8.0 x 19 with 235/35 tyres, with 9.0 x 19 wheels and 255/30 R 19 tyres at the rear.
Generously dimensioned AMG high-performance braking system

Internally ventilated and perforated disc brakes all-round reside behind the spokes of the AMG wheels. The front brakes have size 360 x 36-millimetre discs with six-piston fixed callipers, while deceleration at the rear is by 330 x 26-millimetre discs with four-piston fixed callipers. The AMG high-performance braking system is characterised by great sensitivity and high fade-resistance.

3-stage ESPÒ with Sport function as a new feature in the C 63 AMG

The Electronic Stability Program ESPÒ is specifically configured for the dynamic performance of the C 63 AMG, which is the first AMG model to feature the 3-stage ESPÒ with a Sport function. This system offers three different control settings, and is a logical further development of the AMG ESPÒ philosophy. The ESP key in the centre console enables the driver to choose between three modes – “ESP ON”, “ESP SPORT” and “ESP OFF” – the currently active mode is shown in the central display of the AMG instrument cluster.

In “ESP ON” mode, the onset of handling instability leads to braking intervention at one or more of the wheels, accompanied by a reduction in engine torque. Briefly pressing the ESP key activates “ESP SPORT”. In this mode the braking intervention to counter oversteer or understeer, as well as the accompanying reduction in engine torque, allows a higher dynamic threshold and, for instance, corresponding drift angles – which means that the driver of the C 63 AMG benefits from considerably more active driving pleasure. ESP Ò is restored to its normal function as soon as the brake pedal is operated.

Prolonged pressure on the ESP key activates “ESP OFF”. There is no intervention to control the handling dynamics, and no reduction in engine torque – thus increasing driving enjoyment even further. “ESP OFF” should only be used by experienced drivers on dedicated racetracks. In this mode too, operating the brake pedal restores all the normal functions of ESPÒ. The system’s traction logic is active in all three ESP Ò modes. If one of the drive wheels threatens to spin, specific brake pressure is applied to create the effect of a mechanical differential lock. This means that the engine power is optimally transferred to the road.

More distinctive exterior design than ever before

It is not only in technological but also in visual terms that the new C 63 AMG is more distinctively different from the standard C-Class than ever before. The front end is dominated by the new bonnet with its two pronounced power domes, as well as the trademark AMG radiator grille with a central star and two louvres with chrome inserts. The honeycomb pattern of the grille is also reflected in the large air dams of the new, athletically contoured front apron which forms part of the AMG-specific bodystyling. The fog lamps with chrome surrounds are spaced well apart, acting together with the flared front wheel arches to accentuate the width of the car – with the striking transition from the front apron to the wings leaving a particularly strong impression. The side air vents in the front apron serve to expel the hot air from the oil coolers. If the C 63 AMG is specified with the optional bi-xenon headlamps or the Intelligent Light System, the headlamps are also dark-tinted.

Eye-catching features when viewed from the side include the 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, the harmoniously integrated “6.3 AMG” lettering on the front wing and the AMG side skirts. At the rear the standard LED rear lights, the AMG rear apron with its black diffuser insert and three pronounced diffuser fins, as well as the AMG sports exhaust system with two chrome twin tailpipes, provide further visual highlights that are hallmarks of the brand. The AMG spoiler lip on the boot lid reduces lift and ensures greater handling stability at high speeds.

AMG interior with new sports seats and performance steering wheel

This decidedly sporty theme is continued in the interior of the C 63 AMG, which now has special AMG sports seats with integral head restraints for the first time. The seats not only feature a new design with cross-piping and AMG lettering, but also an adaptive backrest with adjustments for the side bolsters and lumbar support. The standard upholstery in ARTICO man-made leather/AMG fabric is available in a choice of black or reef grey – or as an option the interior can be further enhanced with particularly high-grade leather in black, reef grey or black/sahara beige. Perfect handling control is assured with the new AMG performance steering wheel in a three-spoke design, which has a rim diameter of 365 millimetres and a flattened lower section. The upper section is covered in perforated leather, and two silver AMG shift paddles enable the gears to be shifted manually.

AMG main menu with a wide variety of displays

The trademark AMG instrument cluster in a tubular design features newly styled dials, AMG-specific lettering and a new night-time design. Eye-catching details include the 320 km/h speedometer scale, AMG lettering, red needles and the “6.3 V8″ logo in the rev counter. The AMG main menu in the central display allows numerous settings, with “Warm Up”, “Set Up” and “RACE” modes activated via buttons on the AMG performance steering wheel. “Warm Up” displays the engine oil and coolant temperature, “Set Up” the current ESP Ò mode and the transmission mode “S”, “C” or “M”. “RACE” mode makes the RACETIMER available, with which the driver is able to measure lap times on a racetrack.

Development and design of the C 63 AMG

Creating a new car is a complex undertaking, and this certainly applies to the new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG whose conceptual phase commenced in 2004. This began with the fundamental feasibility study known as packaging. The new C 63 AMG was first constructed as a digital model, the engine, cooling system, fuel system, drive train and axles being “married” with the bodyshell to examine buildability. In spring 2005 the first 1:4-scale design models were produced on the basis of drawings and computer images, and in addition the first testing & development vehicles were already built on the basis of the preceding C 55 AMG. This made it possible to test major assemblies such as the drive train, brakes and axles. The latest onboard measuring technology provided valuable data such as engine oil, coolant and brake disc temperatures – but other aspects of interest were lap times e.g. on the north loop of the Nürburgring, as well as measurable, precisely defined handling manoeuvres to provide comparisons between different axle configurations. These tests were accompanied by extensive aerodynamic tests on the bodyshell of the C 63 AMG, and it was only then that the final design was approved.

Following approval of the concept in the autumn of 2005, the first fully-fledged prototypes of the C 63 AMG were built. At the same time the high-performance saloon was also produced as a digital prototype. Computer simulations made it possible for the “real” development prototypes to exhibit a very high level of maturity during the first rollout. These simulations included the most important vehicle functions, such as handling dynamics, the engine and drive train, bodyshell durability, suspension performance, passive safety, the engine’s thermal characteristics and performance/fuel consumption.

From Affalterbach to every climatic zone on earth

The standardised and highly sophisticated AMG development and test programme for the C 63 AMG began in summer 2005. Over the next couple of years around 20 vehicles were dispatched all over the world from Mercedes-AMG GmbH in Affalterbach, to be subjected to strenuous tests in every climatic zone.

Test, analyse and optimise – that is the creed of the specialists at AMG to achieve the objectives laid down in the book of specifications. Another decisive aspect was an ongoing dialogue between Design and Development, so that any necessary technical modifications were also implemented in design terms.

L’autre jour Marine est revenu d’un mariage. Elle m’a dit s’être beaucoup amusé, avoir beaucoup dansé MAIS surtout que les chaussures que je lui avais prêté lui avaient détruis les pieds. Enfin tout ça pour dire qu’elle a quand même ajouté que le buffet n’était pas mal non plus. Rha la grosse morfale !!

Oui j’avoue, je suis une grande gourmande, mea culpa ! Haha mais les horribles chaussures ne m’ont pas empêché de me déhancher comme une folle sur la piste! Ahh.. c’est ça le problème quand tu fais un petit 43 et que tu veux trouver ta taille au rayon “chaussures de fête”. De filles!

Riassunto della puntata precedente: il formato video 16:9 ha una visualizzazione ridotta in altezza del 25% rispetto al vecchio 4:3 – che è come dire 16:12, così si palesa la differenza di 1/4 – una quota considerevole e decisamente ponderante nella progettazione del layout per un sito web.

Il nocciolo del problema è che un layout studiato in 4:3 incontra problemi di compatibilità su un 16:9 per la perdita di quella quota che cambia l’impatto visivo.
Viceversa ciò non avviene perché la pagina, che per natura si svolge in caduta verticale, guadagna spazio e visualizza più contenuti: un vantaggio, non una penalizzazione.

Un altro aspetto fondamentale, sempre in termini di impatto visivo, è la natura stessa del supporto.
Il vecchio 4:3 ci poneva in fronte ad un quadrato approssimativo.
Ora con il 16:9 ci si ritrova innanzi ad un rettangolo orizzontale (landscape).
Quindi, ancora prima di considerare la caduta verticale e la strutturazione dei contenuti all’interno di essa, occorrerà immaginarsi la visualizzazione di una “cartolina”, perché con il 16:9 ci si ritroverà innanzi ad essa.

Risoluzione: 1920×1080 (full hd) e 1024×600 (netbook) corrispondono effettivamente a sedici noni?
Il primo è un 16:9 perfetto, il secondo dovrebbe essere 1024×576 ma con quel 600 c’è un surplus di 24 pixel che regala un minimo di agiatezza. (Un po’ di lusso ogni tanto ci vuole…)
Per curiosità ho considerato anche una larghezza di 800 px, anche se ormai fuori moda, tanto per non lasciare nulla al caso. Il 16:9 corrispettivo sarebbe 800×450. Infine, per 1280 (widescreen) l’altezza sarebbe 720 px.

La volta scorsa immaginavo di introdurre i contenuti in un layout diviso in due colonne: 60% a sinistra e 40% a destra.
Mi sono imbattuto recentemente in due siti egregi, assolutamente degni di nota, che non esito a definire autentiche risorse, impaginati in un formato affine. Sono Smashing Magazine e Onextrapixel.
A parte il fatto che la mia intuizione non era inedita (e nemmeno particolarmente originale), m’inorgoglisce un po’ ritrovare riscontro che era azzeccata.

Per concludere, un paio di considerazioni generali sugli elementi di layout.
Come già immaginato la volta scorsa, l’intestazione (header) deve essere ridotta al minimo indispensabile; ad essa anteporrei una top bar minimale con i rimandi alle sezioni principali del sito.
Decisamente out la navigazione old-fashion con il vecchio menù verticale appollaiato sul lato sinistro (side bar, ancora in auge di default nella totalità dei cms) che sostituirei con barre di navigazione orizzontali subito al di sotto dell’header.
Non solo. Bloccherei l’intestazione con uno schema fisso (overflow) così i link fondamentali sarebbero sempre a portata di mouse, senza dovere scorrere necessariamente la pagina, in questo modo anche la consultazione dei contenuti diventa più libera. (Per fare ciò non è necessario ricorrere a degli script, un buon css è sufficiente).
Un simile accorgimento impone necessariamente la considerazione del formato video 16:9, perché l’area dedicata ai contenuti non sarà ridotta solamente per la natura del supporto visivo, ma anche per via dell’header fisso.
Gran finale: sul lato sinistro aggiungerei un colonnino verticale minimalista fisso nel quale introdurre dei bookmark in forma iconografica (almeno 32×32) invece una bottom bar, anch’essa decisamente out, a mio avviso.

Anlaşılanlara bak, hizaya gel.

Anlaşıldığımı sanmıyorum. Niye gülüyorsunuz? Yoksa siz “anlaşılanlar”dan mısınız? Sanmıyorum, yoksa şu anda bu satırlara vaktinizi harcamazdınız. Evet anlaşılmıyorum… hatta çoğu zaman kendi tarafımdan bile.

Saplantılı hayatımın hemen her anında anlama çabası var. Ve tabii ki anlaşılma çabası. Anlamaya çalışmak insanoğlunun tipik davranışıdır. Bunda eleştirilecek bir taraf yok. Pembe dizi seyircileri bile bu tuhaf uğraşlarında sürekli anlamaya çalışırlar. Anlaşılmaya çalışmak ise çoğu zaman egoistlik, şöhret gibi kavramlarla anılıyor olsa bile; o da aslında bir anlama çabasıdır. İnsanın kendini tanıması takdire layık kabul edilmez mi? Başkalarının sizin hakkınızdaki fikirleri, kendinizi tanıma uğraşınızın vazgeçilmez bir öğesidir. Aynalar, aynalar…

Çok ilginç bulduğum konulardan biri vücudumuzda taşıdığımız aynalardır. Gözlerimiz yani. Fiziksel olarak ayna özelliği taşıyan tek organımız. Sevgilinizin gözlerine yakından bakın… kendinizi göreceksiniz. İletişim kurmak istediğiniz insanın gözlerine bakarsınız. Kurmak istemediğinizin de gözlerinden kaçarsınız. Belki de kendinizden kaçmaktır bu.

Şaman rahiplerinin şu meşhur yolculuklarında öbür dünyaya gitmek için kullandıkları tünel girişleri nedense bana hep gözleri hatırlatmıştır. Öbür dünyanın giriş kapıları belki de yine gözlerimizdir, kim bilir? Şu yakından bakınca kendimizi gördüğümüz gözler. Aşk mevzuunda sevgilinizin gözleri içinde hiç erimediniz mi yoksa? Belki kendi kendinize bakarak tatmin oluyordunuz, kendinizin güzelliğine hayran oluyordunuz.

Evcil hayvanlarla vahşiler arasındaki fark da budur. Evcilleştirilmişler gözlerini kaçırırlar. Gözlerini kaçıran bir timsahla karşılaşmak pek kolay değildir herhalde. Ya da gözlerinin derinliklerine bakabildiğiniz bir ev kedisi.

Gazetelerde “yüz kızartıcı suç” işleyenlerin fotoğraflarında gözlerine siyah bant çekerler ya… acaba gerçekten tanınmasınlar diye mi bu? Yoksa onların gözlerinde kendi çirkin taraflarımızın yansımasını görmeyelim ve onları daha rahat suçlayalım diye mi? Ya da “yüz kızartıcı suç” olarak tabir edilen suçların ölümcül ve rezil bir şey olduğunu bizim bilinçdışımıza daha iyi işlemek için uygulanan bir oyun mu? Artık egemen güç nelere “yüz kızartıcı suç” demek istiyorsa… Kurşuna dizilen mahkumların gözlerinin bağlanması gerçekten onların rahat rahat ölmesi için mi, yoksa öldürenlerin rahatı için mi? Örnekler o kadar çok ve o kadar da iki yüzlü ki, neresinden tutsanız elinizde kalıyor.

Karanlık güneş gözlüklerine bayılırım. Taktığınızda hem sizin gözlerinizi korur, hem de göz bebeklerinize oranla çok daha geniş yüzeyiyle daha çok insan hizmet sunar. Yalnızlıkla, topluma “mal” olma ikileminin en modern araçlarından biridir. Tüm gözlerin üzerinizde olduğu (veya öyle olmasını istediğiniz) anlarda çok ucuz ve pratik bir çözüm sunar size. Tabii ki yakın çevreniz bu durumdan rahatsız olabilir. Nispeten yakın bir diyalog sırasında sizden bu gözlükleri çıkarmanızı isterler. Sanki yalan söyleyip, söylemediğinizi test etmek ister gibidirler. Size uzak insanlardan bu talep gelmez genelde. Onlar zaten sizin yalanlarınız yakalamak peşinde değillerdir. Hatta söylediğiniz, sergilediğiniz yalanlar onların işine gelir. Hayali bir figürsünüzdür onlar için. Zaten palavra olan sosyal düzenin somutlaşmış bir örneği olursunuz. Zaten size yaklaşmayacaklardır. Aynı zamanda gözlüklerinizin geniş yansıtma (hizmet) kapasitesi, yüreklerine su serpecektir. Ne kadar çok insan aynı yalana inanırsa, o yalan o kadar çok “gerçek”leşir. Güneş gözlükleri harikadır. Işıktan korunmanın bir yoludur.

Kompozisyon Araçları

Çevremdeki çoğu insan benim “pop müzik” yaptığımı düşünüyor. Böyle bir yaklaşımın meyveleri de haliyle şan, şöhret, video klip, para falan gibi şeyleri çağrıştırıyor. E bunlar olmayınca da nasıl bir gözle bakıldığımın farkındayım.

Bir pazar yerinde önünüze yirmi tane elma atsam, herhalde eliniz en kırmızı, en sağlıklı olana gidecektir. Çünkü geçmişinize dayalı birikiminiz size bu elmanın minimum riskle yenebileceğini söyleyecektir. Aynı zamanda günlük elma yeme kapasiteniz bir elmayla sınırlıysa sadece tek bir elmaya uzanacaksınız. Aradan size en uygun olanı seçeceksiniz. Bir başka kişi için “kırmızı” yerine “sarı” elma daha çekici gelebilir. O da sarı elmayı tercih edecektir. Dedim ya bir pazar yerindeyiz diye… her tarafta önünüze elmalar sunan insanlar olacak. Böyle bir pazar yerinde en zekice davranış belli bir renk ve tarzda elma konusunda “uzmanlaşmak” olacaktır. Kırmızı elma sevenler, sizin onlara sunduğunuz kırmızı elmalardan “en kırmızı” olanı seçmek isteyeceklerdir. Bu durumda sarı elma sevenler zaten uzaktan şöyle bir bakarak yollarını değiştirecek, sarı elma satıcılarına yöneleceklerdir. Hedef kitleler katı bir biçimde ayrılacaktır. Hedef kitleleri kesin olarak belirlenmiş elma satıcılarının arasında isterseniz muz da satabilirsiniz. Elmalardan sıkılmış ve farklı bir meyva arayan alıcılar bulabilirsiniz. Önünüze açtığınız sergiye muzlarınızı yerleştirip müşterinizi beklersiniz. Mutlaka birileri gelir ve “elma” kökenli oldukları belli olan muzlarınızın arasından en parlak, en sağlıklı görüneni tercih eder ve alır. Siz de böylelikle elma pazarının içinde, elmacı mantığıyla muzlarınıza bir destek sağlamaya başlarsınız. Yakın bir zaman içinde de yanı başınızda sizden feyz almış diğer muz satıcıları türer. Belki sabrederseniz bir süre sonra elma pazarının tüm çehresi değişerek “muz pazarı” haline bile gelebilir. Ama genel kavram değişmez. Ve bu kavram “uzmanlaşmak”tır.

Demin benim sunduğum yirmi elmaya dönersem, bu pazar içinde biraz tuhaf karşılanacaktır elbette. Ben de bu pazar yerinde hayatta kalmaya çalışan satıcılardan biri olarak önüme bir tezgah açtım ve meyvelerimi sergiliyorum. Elma üzerine uzmanlaşmadım, muz üstüne de. En kırmızı olmayabilir ama kırmızı elmalarım da var, sarı da… Muz lazımsa, o da var. Peki neler yok? Yedikten sonra midemi bozan meyveleri tezgahıma koymadım. Çünkü benden alışveriş yapan insanların midelerinin de bozulmasını istemedim. Bu, elbette çok kişisel bir yargı… çoğunluğa baktığınızda herkesin midesinin benimki kadar hassas olmadığı ortada. Ama başkasının midesini bozmak riskine girmek istemem. Bu sebeple mide bozmayacağını düşündüğüm meyveler üzerine yoğunlaştım.

Peki bu tezgahtan alış veriş yapacak kişi neler umarak bunu yapacaktır? Sürekli elma yiyerek midesini bozmak istemiyorsa ve çeşitli meyvalardan oluşan bir kolleksiyon peşindeyse, daha iyi bir alternatifi yok mu? Elbette ki var. Tüm pazarı dolaşarak en kırmızı elmayı, en sarı elmayı ve en güzel kokulu muzu arayıp bunları toplayabilir. Benim tezgahımdan alışveriş yapanlar bunu halihazırda zaten yapan insanlar. Ama dolaşarak arayıp buldukları o meyveleri satın aldıkları yerlerin tüm elma pazarının mantığından süzülerek geldiğinin de farkındalar.

“Best Of…”, “Nostalji”, “Toplama” gibi tabir edilen albüm cinsleri hep bu mantık sisteminin ürünleridir. Ve bu sistem sanatçılardan hayatlarını müziğe adamalarını değil, “müzik tarzlarına” adamalarını talep eder. Eğer siz bir Rock müzisyeniyseniz, sizden beklenen ölene kadar bu tarzı mükemmelleştirmeye çalışmaktır. İyi bir çalgıcı olmak da aynen böyle bir şeydir. Benzeriniz binlerce diğer çalgıcı gibi sizin de bu yolda “en kırmızı elma”yı üretmeniz gerekir. Elma pazarının karakterinin değişip de “Muz Pazarı” olması halinde hayatınızı adadığınız o kan kırmızısı elmaların anlamı da yitecektir. Yok olmazsınız ama artık yaşamıyorsunuzdur da. Bu durumda yapabileceğiniz en iyi şey “eski dostlar” muhabbetine girip geçmişi yadetmek veya genç kızlara geçmiş zaman zaferlerinizi anlatarak tatmin olmaya çalışmak olacaktır. En kırmızı elmanızı üretebilmek için o kadar çok çalışmış, hayatınız vermişsinizdir ki, artık “muz” üretimini öğrenmek için ne zamanınız, ne de enerjiniz kalmıştır. Ve artık sizin elmalarınızı kim ne yapsın?

Zamanında her parçada bizi hayretlere düşüren bir “solo” beklerdik. O insanlar o “soloları” çalabilmek için neler feda ettiklerini çok iyi bilirler. Onların kan kırmızısı elmaların sololarıydı. Çoğunluğun solo istediği yok artık. Ama kendini, çoğunluğa en kırmızı elmayı satmaya adamış insanın azınlıklarla tatmin olması mümkün değildir. Bir zamanlar star olan, sonra da nispeten sıradan bir hayat sürmek zorunda kalan sanatçıların bu üzücü kaderleri maalesef çok rastlanan bir şey. Güncel oyunlara haddinden fazla inanan kişinin düşeceği durum maalesef bu. Bu mantık elbette daha sonradan “devlet bize yardım etsin.” diye ağlayacak, elindeki tüm duygu sömürüsüne uygun kozları kullanacaktır. Yerinde Batı’yı suçlayacak, ya da senelerce reddettiği diğer uçlardan medet umacaktır. Kendi yok oluşunu kendisinin yarattığını reddederek. Hollywood’u suçlamak, seks filmleri furyasını veya zamanın politik tavırlarını aklama çabasının yansıması olacaktır. Ki Hollywood’u suçlamak çok rasyonel birşeyken, tarihi karanlık bir grubun bunu tamamen başka sebeplerle yapması insanın bu rasyonaliteden uzaklaşmasını da kolaylaştırıyor. Günümüzdeki müzik tarzlarını eleştiren eski müzisyenler de çok üzücü olarak kendileri yüzünden kaybedilmiş bir oyunu eleştiriyorlar. Çoğunluğa hitap etmişlerin, azınlıklarla yetinmesi pek zordur. Toplumsal başarı uyuşturucu gibidir. Her zaman daha fazlasını istersiniz. Kesildiğinde de acılar içinde kıvranmanız kaçınılmazdır.

Elma pazarındaki kendi tezgahıma dönersem, en kırmızı olmayan, en sarı olmayan elmalarım ve fena kokmayan muzlarımla beraber pazarda hala hayattayım. Yarın bir gün kolleksiyonuma avakado, hurma ya da adını daha bilmediğim meyveler eklersem, buna kimse şaşırmayacak. Sadece yaşadığımı yansıtmaya devam etmiş olacağım. Müzik tarzları da aynı diğer kompozisyon araçları gibi (melodi, ritm vs.) münferit olarak kompozisyon aracı olarak algılanabilir. Yani bir müzik tarzında eser vermek o müzik tarzına hayatınızı adadığınız anlamına gelmeyebilir. En iyi şarkıcı olmanın sonu olmadığı gibi, bir tarzın en iyi eserlerini vermek gibi bir kavram da sadece sistemin bu işle uğraşan insanlardan “uzmanlaşmalarını” istemesidir. Varsın bunu mühendislerden istesinler de depremlerde kafamıza binalar çökmesin. Sanatçılardan bunun istenmesi abesle iştigaldir. Bir sanat eserinin yapabileceği en kötü şey onun kendisine yapabileceğidir, yani dinlenmez, seyredilmez, okunmaz. Bu da hayatın sonu olmadığından, sanat eserlerinin tamamen özgür bırakılması gerekir (özellikle sanatçılar tarafından). Her hangi bir sanat eseri toplumun bir kesimi tarafından bayrak haline getiriliyorsa bunda o sanat eserinin suçu değil, toplumun silah arayışı söz konusudur. Eleştirilmesi gereken şey döner dolaşır sisteme gelir. Sanat eserleri özünde sistem eleştirisi bile yapmaz. Zira sistemler üstüdür. Sanat eserlerini silah olarak kullanan kesimler ve de sanatçılar görünen o ki zamanın sonsuzluğu içinde bir noktada gariban oyunları içinde debelenip duruyorlar. Debeleniyorlar.. sonra miatları doluyor, yok olup gidiyorlar. Geriye de sanat eserleri kalıyor. Hangi sosyal anlayışları destekledikleri, nelere inandıkları, neler için savaş verdiklerinin hiçbir önemi kalmıyor. Sanat eserine bakıyoruz, öze yönelik öğreneceğimiz bir şey varsa öğreniyoruz. Yoksa da yok.

Picasso’nun Guernica tablosunun hangi savaşa karşı tavır aldığı o yılların sorunu. Tablo hala muhteşem. “Vay efendim, o savaş hakkında ne biliyorsun?” gibi bir yaklaşım ancak o senelerden bu senelere uzanan, aynı sorunların peşinde koşturan bir yaklaşım. Bundan beş yüz sene sonra tüm sorunlar çözülmüş olabilir. Ama o tablo, hala o tablo olacaktır (bir takım salaklar onu yok etmezse tabii). Efendim? Sanat, sanat içindir mi demiştiniz?

Kimse beni anlamıyor… sizi anlayan var mı?

Sanat sepetle uğraşanları hafif ve de ağır olarak iki gruba ayırmak mümkün mü acaba? Neden olmasın? Ayırdım gitti… Varoluş zaten dualite üzerine kurulu değil mi? O halde “hernehikmetsederdininanlatmayaçalışaninsanlargrubu” sanatçıları da ikiye ayırmamız işimizi kolaylaştıracaktır. Ancak hemen belirtmeliyim ki amacım ikilik yaratmak değil. Ama galiba yarattım bile. Eğer bunu yarattıysam buyurun oyunculuk dünyasına…

Looking at the specs of the just released E-P2, it should have been named the ‘E-P1.2′ .

Don’t get me wrong, I love the look of the EP-1. Its stylish, shoots great photos- but there are draw backs. The focus is slow and there isn’t a flash (Com’on Olympus, seriously?). With the E-P2 you would expect it would fix these problems. Looks like they’ve addressed the slow focus, but the camera still does not have a flash?! I know that part of the charm is that the E-P series is suppose to have great low light sensitivity, but if your out camping in the woods or shooting at dusk, don’t even bother taking this with you.

You could always lug around the flash attachment but if your gonna bother with that, you minus well just get a true DSLR.

OK, so back to the E-P2. Lets face it, your not gonna be buying the E-P2. At this price point your probably better off with the Lumix GF1. Its lost the retro silver design and actually kind of looks like the GF1.

However if your still sold, you can find it at Amazon retailing for $1,099 when its released.

Parece lógico que el cobra más tenga que pagar más impuestos. Pero a día de hoy esto no siempre pasa. Los futbolistas extranjeros que llegan a nuestro país no lo hacen sólo porque les guste España o crean que es la mejor liga de Europa. Hay una ventaja fiscal que les ayuda a tomar la decisión. Mientras que en países como Inglaterra estos mismos jugadores tendrían que pagar más de un 40% en impuestos, en España, acutalmente sólo tienen que pagar 24%.  ¿Es justo? Probablemente no, pero es lo que hay. O al menos lo que había.

Actualmente C. Ronaldo, Kaká, Ibrahimovic o Forlán pagan menos que Raúl, Xavi, Iniesta o Casillas. Esto se debe a la denominada “Ley Beckham”. Esta ley fue aprobada durante el gobierno de Aznar. Con ella se pretendía que los mejores profesionales de diversas ramas vinieran a trabajar a España por las ventajas fiscales. Pero casualmente por esas mismas fechas llegó al Real Madrid David Beckham, y fue el primer futbolista en beneficiarse de esta ley (de ahí su nombre).

Ahora han venido Kaka’, Ibrahimovic y sobre todo C. Ronaldo, y el debate se ha vuelto a abrir. El PSOE pretende modificar esta ley y puede conseguirlo. IU y el Bloque Nacionalista Gallego le apoyan en su lucha, lo que lo haría posible. Por primera vez, los clubes de fútbol y la Liga le han visto las orejas al lobo y han lanzado un órdago. Si se lleva a cabo la reforma se hará un cierre patronal (difícil de entender).

¿Pero todos los clubes apoyarán el parón? no me parecería lógico, por ejemplo, que el Athletic de Bilbao (sin un extranjero en su plantilla) se quejará por la reforma. O que la AFE (Asociación de futbolistas españoles) se pusieran en contra de un cambio en una ley que no les afecta.

Real Madrid y Barcelona podrán seguir fichando jugadores. Los más afectados serán los equipos de media tabla para abajo. Pero esos clubes están acostumbrados a sobrevivir con un presupuesto bastante bajo (en algunos casos) y podrán seguir haciéndolo.

Acaso los futbolistas deben ser más que nadie y pagar menos impuestos simplemente por una interpretación de una ley que no estaba hecha con este fin. Igual esta reforma ayuda a que en la Liga surjan más jugadores españoles, ¿o es que tienen un nivel inferior a los extranjeros? El nivel no será tan bajo cuando somos la selección que mejor juega hoy por hoy en el mundo, la selección española que mejor juega desde hace mucho tiempo, y los actuales campeones de europa. Olympus presenta oggi la nuova PEN E-P2 insieme a due nuovi obiettivi zoom Micro 4/3 che saranno disponibili nel 2010. a nuova E-P2 ha caratteristiche simili alla precedente E-P1 con alcuni miglioramenti significativi. Il primo è finalmente la possibilità di aggiungere un mirino elettronico ad alta risoluzione con 1,4 megapixel, l’Af Traking, i controlli manuali per il video, due nuovi art filter ed il corpo in nero.
Finalmente mi sembra un’Olympus all’altezza della sua tradizione.

La nuova E-P2 mi sembra veramente molto interessante. con la disponibilità del mirino elettronico rimedia al principale difetto addebitato alla precedente E-P1, l’assenza di un mirino, e l’aggiunta della funzione AF Tracking attiva anche per le riprese video ne fanno un’ottimo strumento per riprese multimediali, foto e video, che dato il suo ingombro relativamente limitato può essere portato in giro con tranquillità in quasi tutte le occasioni, a differenza delle ingombranti reflex digitali. Ora manca solo un piccolo flash incorporato per averla completa di tutto.

Immagino due configurazioni possibili per la E-P2, adatte a situazioni diverse. La prima adatta per occasioni sociali, eventi, ecc. soprattutto in interni o quando comunque si vuole  andare in giro leggeri, ed è la E-P2 più il 17/2,8 ed eventualmente  il flash FL-14; così sarà possibile fare ottime fotoe video  con una fotocamera non troppo ingombrante e vistosa. La seconda adatta ad viaggi, vacanze, mostre e show, è quella composta da E-P2 con mirino elettronico più  il 14-150 (quando sarà disponibile) e al solito il flash FL-14 (da usare purtroppo in alternativa al mirino). Cosi si potranno fare ottimi reportage e filmati di viaggi, vacanze, mostre, spettacoli, ecc..

If you are really serious about building a home theater, and you really want to maximize the results, it’s not just the equipment that is going to make your theater stand out.  Choosing a proper wall colour is one of the most important decisions to make when building a theater.

Everyone knows that light is absorbed by the colour black right?  That’s why baseball players put that paint under their eyes, that’s why you don’t wear a black t-shirt to the beach.  The same rule applies when painting your theater room.  A projector throws light over a large distance in an effort to reflect off of the screen.  Said screen will have, if it’s a good one, reflective attributes that will multiply the amount of light returning to the viewers eyes.  This is what is known as screen gain.  Generally the higher the screen gain, the brighter the image.

“What does this have to do with the wall colour?” you ask.  A projector’s lens is built to focus in a rectangular shape at a ratio of 16:9.  However, the light that leaves a lens will always, always, always create spillage around the intended target.  If the walls surrounding your screen are white, they will reflect this spilled light.  This reflected light will not only draw your attention to the walls, but will also shed light on the image causing it to wash out.  If they are black, they will absorb it.  It’s as simple as that.

Unfortunately, black walls are not in everyone’s design scheme.  Ideally, you should bite the bullet and work a black wall into your scheme, at least, on the wall the screen is mounted to.  If black is just plain not an option, choose the darkest colour you can live with.  Trust me, you will appreciate it in the long run.

If childhood obesity is an epidemic, then this viral classic could be easily its iconic “this is your brain on drugs” PSA. A large child and a lady named Janice take a spin on a coaster, and the whole thing is caught on camera. Janice is having a helluva time, laughing from start to finish, while the rotund fella next to her (the mystery of their relationship only makes the video more fascinating) seems to experience a full-blown panic attack as he witnesses the uncomfortable gravitational pull that barely keeps him strapped in while they fly through the air. To some, it’s utter hilarity while to others, it’s humiliation at its most raw. But everyone can agree on one question: how black must Janice’s heart be if she completely ignores the poor guy to her right? Shame, Janice, shame!
