Käisin eile Vabaduse väljaku all olevas Ahhaa keskuses 4D kinos. Emotsioonid on segased Selles möttes, et päris tore oli, ikkagi nagu liiguks kaameraga kaasa ja puha, aga ma ei kujuta ette, et ma peaks sellise rappumise saatel vaatama poolteist kuni kaks tundi kestvat filmi. Ilmselgelt oleks ma see, kes peaks hädaabipidurit tömbama, sest nii pika aja peale läheks süda kolepahaks. Vaatasin eile köigepealt ära filmi “Kosmoseralli”, siis hängisin keskuses pisut niisama ringi ja siisvaatasin “Vana kaevanduse saladused”. Seda esimest filmi julgen soovitada küll, oli päris pönev ja mitte väga raputav, aga see teine ajas mul küll südame pahaks. Päris halb oli kohe pärast olla. Vöib-olla on muidugi vaid viga minus, sest ma ei salli ka laevasöitu, sest laeval on kombeks lainetel kergelt öötsuda.

Ma päris täpselt ei kujuta ette, kuidas täispikk mängufilm 4D’s välja näeb, sest need lühianimafilmid, mida mina vaatasin olid nö läbi peategelase (ehk mingi süstik vms) silmade vaadatuna, st körvaltegevus puudub. Pikemates mängufilmides jälgitakse (läbi kaamera) tegevust ju körvalt ja noh mis effekte saab olla kui toimub näiteks kahe peaoisatäitja omavaheline dialoog. Kui on mingi kaklusfilm vöi autode kihutamine, siis muidugi natukene saab 4D effekti.

Eniveis, proovimise möttes on tore, aga kes ameerika mägesid ja muid raputavaid löbustusi ei armasta, siis sellele ma 4D’d ei soovita. 3D on täiesti piisav

Kuivörd eile oli vist üldse esimene päev kui Tallinnas see 4D tööle pandi, siis olid ka telekaamerad kohal. Ma olen nüüd peaaegu muuvistaar. Hahahaha…. Nii kui sealt süstikust välja astusin, haaras TV3 reporterpoiss mul ka varrukast, et ma talle oma elamustest rääkisin, aga ma olin kaval ja lükkasin tanki ühe teise neidise. Leidlik, eks?

Cinema 4D v10.

Esta atividade foi um aperfeiçoamento da  anterior. Modelamos um objeto completo começando apenas com uma textura pega no site CG Textures, sem modelo. Usei uma disponível na categoria Industrial dentro de Buildings. Esta atividade serviu para desenvolver certa indepência quanto a modelagem já que não houve nada para usar como base em certas partes. As imagens aqui publicadas estão com o objeto em uma cena do plugin LUMEN Lite. Modelado com o Cinema 4D R10, textura trabalhada no Photoshop CS4 e mapeado com o UVMapper Classic 0.30a.

On Wednesday, Remembrance day, I went to the Vancouver Aquarium. It was rainy and cold although none of the sea creatures seemed to mind much.

these dolphins put on a great show. Apparently it is easier for them to jump through the air than swim through the water because there is less resistance. These 3 dolphins were rescued and brought to the aquarium. They now receive fish for free and pets on the nose.

This otter, of the famous otter “hand holding” video is now without a mate. He seemed a little lonely in the tank all by himself but perfectly willing to show off for the camera.

this otter just cracked me up. While the other little fella in the tank was zooming around in circles, he was floating with his eyes closed, taking a step back from our crazy world. Smelling the saltwater. Being thankful for fish. Remembering the good times, forgetting the bad. You know.

We also caught the 4D show, which was Planet Earth’s Shallow Waters episode, and it was quite good. Don’t go if you don’t like being startled. That sort of seemed to be the point.

We thought we’d discovered a new species of Swedish Blowfish, but it was just Mattias.

The beluga whales were very beautiful. Here is mum and baby who still does not have a name yet. You can still enter the competition to name the baby beluga here

The octopus started to give us the stink eye so we left.

Októberben Moszkvában és valahol Romániában is döbbenetes UFO felvételeket rögzítettek. Gigantikus fénygyűrűket a sűrű felhőzetben, ebből a romániai jelenségnek még gömbölyű “hasa” is van.  A szkeptikusoknak üzenem, hogy csak addig szkeptikusok, amíg az égből ránk nem szakad az Ismeretlen! Márpedig elgondolkodtató, hogy a “nagy influenza világjárvány” és a “pénzügyi krízis” kellős közepén mit is keresnek ezek a jelenségek az égen…

I’ve lost my way in 4D at the moment.

My idea hasn’t really changed, I’ve been looking into how I might go about actually making it instead.

I’ve had a play with after effects and 3ds max to see which is better for the 3d object I’d like to create, at the moment I think perhaps 3ds max but I’m not sure.

I’ve started storyboarding what I’d like my ‘film’ in its loosest sense to look like.

A chat with Mike is needed I think, and soon. Don’t want to waste anymore time really.

A atividade aqui postada consiste na modelagem de uma casa medieval a partir do modelo dado pelo Profº Drº Luís Carlos Petry. Originalmente ele modelou a casa e trabalhou a textura e nós construímos os nossos próprios modelos nos espelhando no dele e com a tarefa de reduzir a quantidade de poligonos sem perder a qualidade. Consegui uma redução de aproximadamente a metade dos polígonos sem perder a qualidade do objeto. Ela foi inteiramente modelada no Cinema 4D R10 e sua textura trabalhada no Photoshop CS4 Extended.  Após sua construção foi exportada para FBX 6.0 para utilizá-la na engine Unity 3D. So what am I going to actually make for this 4d project? That’s a very good question! The 3D Visualization of Lorenz attractor in a VR System video in my proposal post (see this post) is my starting point.

Bear with me as I try to explain the idea I can see in my mind! Here goes… The Lorenz Attractor video is a 2d representation which is seen from a few angles of the complete ‘pattern’. I think it would be interesting to create a ‘pattern’ which is actually forming as time passes, which the camera is able to move through and around. Does that make sense?!

I’ve always had a interest and liking for these types of images and videos, seen below. Lines moving and flowing in a range of ways creating very interesting visuals. Theses are just two examples that.

I don’t remember this Nano advert, but I wish I did, it’s great. Very visual,  quick paced, angle of animation changes and has different view points to point out a few things.

The videos below could be described as the 3d versions of the above videos, but from inside the moving lines.

I think the moving from within the tunnels to outside them following the lines as they create patterns could be an interesting path to follow and explore.

What next…. Now I’ve seen that it’s possible to visualise my idea I think it’s important to look into After Effects and get hold of a few tutorials, see if I can make any small projects and get the ball moving on this project.
