Death to Bamboo started as nothing more than a stroke of boredom, I was like hmmm A BAMBOO SHREDDING PANDA ROBOT! I rolled with it and these are the results. There are more on the way, right now there are only 2, done in pencil in a small sketchbook.

[While I was at it, I figured I'd post my American Idol experience, because it's these types of experiences that shape you into who you are going to become, as a person and a singer. It was very inspirational to me. And you all know how much I value inspiration!]

So this funny thing happened the other night when I was at the computer, on YouTube.com, and I just happened to see an ad for a competition called “YouTube Caroling!” It looked cool and I decided to go ahead and make a video to send in to the contest. The contest is sponsored by TJ Maxx and Marshall’s and you could choose between four different songs to sing. Two of the songs were modifications of traditional Christmas carols: “Deck Yourself Out,” from “Deck the Halls,” and “We Wish You a Better Way to Christmas Shop,” from “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

These songs are called the “Spendervention” carols! I like them! Anyone who sends in a video singing one of the Spendervention carols could win the grand prize of a $5,000 shopping spree to TJ Maxx and Marshall’s. Yes, please!

We’ll see what happens! All I know is, as of tonight (Saturday, December 5, 2009,) I have 176 views on YouTube and it got on the web just yesterday afternoon! One thing that was cool, that I noticed just a few minutes ago, was that if you type in the name of the contest on Google: “YouTube Caroling,” my video appears under the first Search Result!? Who knows what will happen, but I hope this is a sign of good things to come!

I recently bought the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000. It’s a great, comfortable full size mouse. No lag, nice smooth motion, uses Microsoft’s Blue Track Technology so you can use it on almost any surface, has a couple extra side buttons, and probably best of all. It comes packaged with Mac software, as well as Windows. One of the coolest features that I found was that every button was programable, and you can make different profiles for different applications. For example in my iTunes, the left and right side buttons change the song, while the mouse wheel button pauses, and resumes the song, but in safari the side buttons go back and forward in my browsing history. You can also make the buttons do stuff press keyboard keys, for games. You can even set it up to make combinations like Command+Q or Alt+Tab… So in the end, it’s a great mouse, and really cheap for what it can do.

Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to set before the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. After Jesus performed an astounding miracle with the physical provision of food to 5,000 men and their families using just five loaves and two fish, it was disheartening to hear how the disciples were down on morale and struggling at the oars and that is the reason Jesus decided to walk to them on water to encourage them. Somehow I think I would be full of courage and strength if I were to witness such miracles but after pondering about it, I realize that I am certainly no different from these disciples in my faith. Time and again, the Lord works his miraculous ways in our lives but we in our selfish nature either are blinded to the truth or are lost in our own selves and don’t recognize them.

You might not have seen a healing or a feeding like those reported on these pages of scripture but look back at your life and think of the little miracles that have happened? I remember prayers being answered in difficult circumstances, undue blessings coming our way in times of desperation, situations coming to pass without our efforts, etc. However, I know now that I have issues and problems and situations that I am banging God’s doors with because I am concerned God will not come through. Am I not acting like the disciples? I pray today that we will start to count our blessings and when we are faced with storms, that we will be able to submit our problems to God and wait upon him for his blessing rather than trying to fix things ourselves. This is a journey from head to heart which seems short in length but will take a lifetime!

Vodafone, one of the mobile network providers which seem to be slowly dying away into the shadows, has decided to pull of a publicity stunt in the form of a free Flash game called ‘Touch the Phone’. The ide of the game is to keep your mouse over a moving image of the Sony Ericsson Satio. If you keep your mouse over the image long enough and top the leaderboard you’ll be in for a chance to win up to £5000.

Why is Vodafone doing this? As a publicity stunt. Or, at least, that’s what I think.

The sad reality is that you’d better not get your hopes up unless you’re willing to compete in the game for four hours. At time of writing the top score is over four hours and twenty minutes. That’s four hours and twenty minutes of moving your mouse around in unison with a picture of a phone. Not even a hibernating polar bear has that much spare time. But if you’re really desperate for cash you better get your skates on and rollerblade over to the game site!

Your cursor is represented by a large red hand. You may see other smaller hands, grey in colour, trying to stay on top of the moving Satio image as well. They’re just other competitors from all over the world.

If you do try to compete I wish you luck!

Lining the right hand side of the game is a meter which will show you how close you are to topping the leader board. I got to 50 seconds. Then I just gave up out of sheer boredom.

È chiaro il quadro fatto dal gip Sante Spinaci, nell’ordinanza di custodia cautelare emessa nei confronti degli indagati, rispetto a quanto avvenuto ai primi di luglio in un piccolo appartamento di via Gradoli, a Roma, tra l’ormai ex governatore del Lazio Piero Marrazzo, un trans e alcuni militari dell’Arma passati dalla parte del crimine.

In cella sono Luciano Simeone, Carlo Tagliente, Antonio Tamburrino e Nicola Testini. «Il Marrazzo, esaminato dal pm il 21 ottobre 2009, ha precisato che tra l’1 e il 4 luglio 2009 si recava in un appartamento per avere un incontro sessuale a pagamento con una certa Natalie (riporta il gip) Qui, dopo essersi parzialmente spogliato, deponeva tremila euro – parte della somma concordata, pari a 5000 mila euro – su un tavolinetto, conservando la rimanente parte e i suoi documenti all’interno del portafogli.

Mentre si accingevano a consumare il rapporto sessuale concordato, si presentavano alla porta d’ingresso due uomini qualificandosi come carabinieri (identificati poi come Simeoni e Tagliente) ed entrando nell’appartamento assumevano un atteggiamento estremamente arrogante, tanto da incutere soggezione e paura, si facevano consegnare da Marrazzo – che avevano riconosciuto come presidente della Regione – il portafogli con i documenti tenendo in un locale separato Natalie e si recavano in un’altra stanza».

Son of a gun! Iam lucky. (Touchwood) I dont want to get tainted by putting this here. But am sure nothing will happen – you all love Gorgeous Girlie and will only wish the best for her right ! I know it. Ok now am not really fond of jewellery unless it is  big, bold, beautiful and stunning like you have never seen before. Am really not a sucker for gold, diamond or platinum either – yea am cool if you wanna gift me some. But I may never wear it really unless its a WOW piece! You know what I mean. Something that will make heads turn truly. Now I have been wishing, wanting and waiting to buy myself a piece from Swarowski (no no not expensive at all) like a few thousand bucks but its a gorgeous one! I dont know why I waited for so long but today I know. I believe. I see why I waited to so long. I believe in a plan. Its the plan from the universe. The bell rang, it was the courier guy at the door and a parcel for me – it was a gift from Swarowski – not a bracelet but a sparkler pendant with a chain worth a whopping 5000/- Rs ! I had won it courtesy Elle magazine. My letter had been published in their section mail bonding. Aint it cool or what! What else is cool? Numerology makes perfect sense. Its 21st Oct today. And my numerology lucky no. is 3 so there you go! Iam so happy and excited and elated. Gosh! All I want to say is BIG BIG THANKYOU to all the strings that the universe pulled to bring me this gift that I have been wanting for long. Iam speechless.

Within the last few days the ole’ blog has surpassed 5000 page views, with about 1000 of those within the last 3 days or so.  I’m both baffled and pleased as punch about the increase in traffic!  Thanks to all the readers and contributors out there!  Thank you thank you thank you!!

…the letter W and the number 5000…

Like many people, I’m currently more interested in the stock and currency markets than I’ve ever been.

I confess to knowing very little about it – although my knowledge is improving – but I think I’ve grasped a few basic principles.

My iPhone came with a handy little app which allows me to see how the FTSE is getting on and I check it almost every day – just to see how things are going.

It’s been a good month for the FTSE, with almost unbroken gains during the past month and I see that it’s already gained 2.76% today, which is a lot.

In fact, it’s knocking the 5000 mark, which it hasn’t seen since about last October.

There’ll be some celebrations then…

But I hear talk of  a W movement in the markets.

It refers to a line graph that appears to plummet, bottom out, rise sharply but then fall to the bottom again, followed by another rise – hence the W.

I think that’s more than likely.

The sheer amount of debt that we now have to carry is staggering and I reckon we’re seeing an Indian Summer on the markets.

No-one – Cameron or Brown – seems to have twigged that unless we show the rest of the world and our creditors that we intend to cut public spending then our credit rating is going fall to a level which means that if we want to borrow any more it’s going to be at punitive rates.

That’s how I read it, anyway.

If anyone wants to expand on or argue with this very inexpert and simplistic forecast then please do so.

Matt Tegenkamp of the US became the 5th non-African ever to break the 13 minute barrier in the 5,000m in a time of 12:58.56. Tegenkamp ran the time at the Memorial Van Damme meet in Brussels, Belgium. He’s now only the third American to do so behind Bob Kennedy(12:56.21) and Dathan Ritzenhein (who set the American record recently in a time of 12:56.27. Although he finished 7th in the race (Bekele won of course), it was a huge step for athletics because Tegenkamp and Ritzenhein prove that you don’t have to be African to run distance.

Only five non-Africans ever broke 13 minutes in the 5,000 meter race. Germany’s Dieter Baumann, Austrailia’s Craig Mottram, and the three from the US, Kennedy, Ritzenhein, and Tegenkamp. It also should be noted that Matt Tegenkamp holds the American Record at 2 miles in a time of 8:07.07.

Sie erhalten im Display die Meldung “79.xxxx”, dies bedeutet, dass die Druckerdaten nicht korrekt verarbeitet werden können.

Mögliche Ursachen und Abhilfe:
Der Drucker konnte die Datenmenge nicht verarbeiten und der Druckauftrag liegt noch an - alle Druckaufträge löschen und aus einen anderen Anwendung eine Testseite drucken.

-Netzwerkkabel / Paralleles Druckerkabel tauschen. Ggfls einen anderen Druckeranschluss benutzen.

- Speichererweiterung, Eine nach der Anderen, entfernen und jedesmal eine Tesseite drucken.

Dathan Ritzenhein broke the 13- year-old American record in the 5,000m at the Golden League meet in Zurich, Switzerland last Friday. Ritzenhein or “Ritz” lowered Bob Kennedy’s record of 12:58.21 to 12:56.27, almost a full two seconds. The funny this is that Ritz only placed third in the race behind Ethiopia’s Kenenisa Bekele (12:52.32) and Kenya’s Edwin Cheruiyot Soi (12:55.03).

Ritz was the only non-African competitor and is now the second fastest non-African of all time less than a second behind Australia’s Craig Mottram. He is only the 4th non-African to break 13 minutes in the 5k, along with Mottram, Kennedy, and Germany’s Dieter Baumann (who was later suspended for use of illegal substances).

In the last few laps, Ritz started passing people left and right and moved into 2nd place. Bekele was out of reach and eventually Soi would outkick him with 150m to go. A stunning performance from the modern running boom in the United States. Alberto Salazar (Ritz’s coach) said it best, “What Dathan did today validates what everyone in this country has been trying to do — to show Americans can run with the best East Africans.”

While in Germany, where I had an amazing time, I was lucky to meet Volkswagen’s main Photographic supplier. Michael De Vries, the lucky man shooting the cars owns a jaw-dropping studio in Dernbach.

I met with the lighting director who spent around an hour explaining to me the process of lighting up each individual car.The cars are brought in a truck and are covered up and driving into the studio.

I was lucky to be there to see one of Volkswagen’s newest cars. The car, which I’m allowed to mention to anyone by the way, was being lit by around 10 lights varying from 400W to 5000Wps power.
