 Yep that’s right. Stalled dead in the water and no progress these last two weeks at all I am so sorry to say. I suppose the fact that there is heavy stress in my family right now might have something to do with it. Although even without that fact (and there has been more than a LOT this year) I still am really having a difficult time with this project. The structured and creative sides of my thought process are warring it out between each other and it is exhausting. The structured side is being dominant and completely drowning the creative side.

Does anyone have any constructive ideas on how to handle that, without disowning either part? If I don’t find a solution I will be gray haired and unable to see the damn keyboard before I finish! It feels like the title of this blog should have been 52 weeks to stress out over writing my first novel.

The odd thing is that I absolutely love to write. If I am not writing something, anything then I feel out of sorts and not wholly connected. I deeply enjoy writing this blog and the creative writing in my IWWG writing group, as well as my journal. Yet I feel the actual muscles in my neck tense when I sit down to pick up where I left off writing in my novel. I am staying at friend’s house while they are away and have many hours of uninterrupted quiet time, which I am hoping will lend itself to some serious progress.

 This weeks picture is of the statue Winged Victory, which is a depiction of the Goddess Nike. I was standing in front of it in the Louvre and was awestruck at the enormity of its size, beauty, and power, which all emanate from deep inside. This statue has always been a favorite of mine.

Dla porządnego słuchacza rapu jest na pewno znany, dla mniej porządnych, szukających dobrych, w sumie podziemnych produkcji proponuje płytę We mnie. Nie będę zamieszczał track-listy i jakichś schematycznych określeń, bo nie piszę recenzji. Można odczuć taką huśtawkę pomiędzy życiem, a śmiercią, piekłem, a niebem.. Bardzo ambitne teksty, przemyślane i mimo, że materiał został wypuszczony już w 2004, to nadal każde z przesłań Deepa jest aktualne(pewnie dlatego, że teksty te nie są populistyczne, ale prawdziwe- życiowe)

Dzisiaj poniedziałek, czyli trzeba było zawitać w szkole. Po angielskim, na przerwie poszliśmy z R. do takiego magazynu, gdzie nawijamy sobie już w sumie rok. Dawno nie rapowaliśmy razem, więc dzisiaj wena nie pozwalała nam, by jakoś skończyć i ogarnąć się przed rozpoczęciem lekcji.. w efekcie czego nie poszliśmy na religię i po prostu zostaliśmy tam, w sumie na godzinę. Trochę to małe pomieszczenie, bez okien i nie było na końcu już czym oddychać, ale razem widzimy progres, zatem dzisiejszy free był owocny. Miałem nagrać kilka wejść, ale zapomniałem, może z następną okazją sobie w porę przypomnę. Umówiliśmy się w piątek na ustawkę w większym gronie nawijaczy, będę miał szansę wszystkich rozwalić, bo to mnie uważają za najlepszego w okolicy, zatem niech wygra faworyt, jeżeli nie wygra alko.

The Wall Street Securities has announced its annual scholarships worth VND3-5 million for 52 university students studying finance, banking, and securities.

The scholarship would also be given to students of other faculties in future, a group official said.

This year the scholarships will be awarded at a ceremony organized jointly with the Vietnamese Students ‘ Central Association at the Cultural Friendship Palace in Hanoi on November 29.

Philippine President Gloria Arroyo vowed Wednesday justice would be served after 52 people were killed in a political massacre, but refused to say if an ally blamed for the murders would be arrested.

As more bodies were pulled out of shallow graves following Monday’s election-linked killings in the lawless south of the country, Arroyo insisted she was committed to tracking down those responsible.

“This is a supreme act of inhumanity that is a blight on our nation,” presidential spokesman Cerge Remonde said on the ABS CBN television network.

“The president has vowed that the perpetrators will not find the way to escape justice.”

Police earlier said the top suspect in the massacre was Andal Ampatuan Jnr, a member of Arroyo’s ruling coalition and the son of a powerful regional politician who has helped secure votes for the president in previous elections.

“According to the initial reports, those who were abducted and murdered at Saniag were initially stopped by a group led by the mayor of Datu Unsay,” national police spokesman Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina said.

Ampatuan Jnr is the mayor of Datu Unsay and his father of the same name is the governor of Maguindanao province, a lawless part of the strife-torn Mindanao island where the massacre took place.

However, two days after the massacre, authorities indicated an arrest of Ampatuan Jnr was not imminent.

Speaking on DZMM radio, Espina said investigators still needed to speak with witnesses before they could secure a court order for the arrest of the suspects.

Asked if Ampatuan Jnr would be arrested, Remonde replied: “I will not telegraph our punches”.

But he said Arroyo had delivered a message to the Ampatuan clan, which has its own private army, not to obstruct the police investigation.

The massacre occurred after about 100 Ampatuan gunmen allegedly abducted a convoy of aides and relatives of a rival Maguindanao politician, Esmael Mangudadatu, plus a group of journalists.

The victims were abducted as they were travelling in a six-vehicle convoy to nominate Mangudadatu as the opposition candidate for governor in next year’s elections. He was not in the convoy.

They were shot a short time later at close range, some with their hands tied behind their backs, and dumped or buried in shallow graves on a remote farming road close to a town bearing the Ampatuan name.

The death toll rose from 46 to 52 after six more bodies were pulled out of the graves on Wednesday, according to police.

The victims included at least 13 local journalists who had been intending to report on Mangudadatu’s governorship nomination, making Monday’s killings the deadliest single attack on the media in history.

Ampatuan Snr had been grooming his son to take over as governor of Maguindanao province, and the victims’ relatives have alleged the Ampatuans organised the murders so that Mangudadatu would not run for governor.

Arroyo on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in Maguindanao and neighbouring Cotabato city, a stronghold of the Ampatuans, amid fears the killings could trigger a clan war.

But instead of ordering tough action against her allies, she sent a special envoy, Jesus Dureza, to the Ampatuan camp on Tuesday to get the clan to pledge its cooperation in an investigation.

The ruling coalition’s candidate for next year’s presidential election, ex-defence secretary Gilberto Teodoro, backed calls for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the suspects.

“This is a test case. The government should be decisive in going against this group, to arrest the perpetrators no matter who they are, whether they are political allies or not,” he said.

The Philippine Commission on Human Rights chairwoman, Leila De Lima, also called for immediate action by the president.

“I am appealing to President Gloria Arroyo to show political will, for her to show to the public that the investigation by the government is serious,” she told AFP.

Ken Ober, who hosted the 1980s MTV game show “Remote Control” and helped produce the shows “Mind of Mencia” and “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” has died. He was 52.

His agent, Lee Kernis, says Ober was found dead Sunday in his Santa Monica home. Kernis says Ober complained of headaches and flu-like symptoms on Saturday night but the cause of his death wasn’t clear.

Ober hosted five seasons of “Remote Control” beginning in 1987. Contestants in lounge chairs were asked pop-culture questions from categories such as “Dead or Canadian?” The show featured early appearances by comedians Adam Sandler, Denis Leary and Colin Quinn.

Ober, who was born Ken Oberding in Massachusetts, is survived by his parents and a brother.

 These last two weeks the writing has been on hold as I have been focused on the business of making money and contracting with at least one more client, which hasn’t happened so far. I briefly thought about going back to school but realized instantly that I don’t want to spend all that time learning a new career; I want to spend that time writing and gee, guess what? The time spent writing is actually developing a new career.

My life is unfolding in such a way that my time is not filled with other activities no matter how much I try. Writing is how my time is meant to be spent and I am being reminded of that fact over and over. My great-grandfather was a writer and owned one of the only two Russian newspapers in our area. My father was a writer although he was never able to finish the book he was working on. Perhaps that is why I have been dreaming so much about him lately as I struggle with my own writing.

I haven’t been writing but I have been thinking about the story and about how closely to follow the outline that I drafted. I have already deviated from it and am using it more as a guideline than an actual step-by-step guide.

The picture of above is in Austria and although hidden from view the benches face the beautiful tranquility of a very expansive lake. Most of our group went walking through the shops in town or stopped for a bite to eat. I chose to walk part way around this lake, through the gorgeous trees housed in silence and in the biting cold. When we boarded our coach to resume our tour, everyone was showing off what they purchased or describing what a sumptuous meal they enjoyed. I still feel I had the better time.
