Oh je, schon wiede ‘ne Woche rum und ich habe viel zu wenig Zeit, um eine längere Recherche zu machen. Wenn ich nicht ordentlich suche, bekomme ich wieder einenAnpfiff von Steven Inch – der Kerl kann einfach furchtbar pingelig sein. Und er weiß zu viel. Kurzum, weil’s schnell gehen muss, aber die Qualität nicht darunter leiden darf, stelle ich heute mal wieder eine Platte aus dem reichhaltigen Vermächtnis von Eddie Bo vor: “Sissy Walk” von Sonny Jones.

Ob tatsächlich ein Herr namens Sonny Jones das Stück singt, ob es sich eventuell um “Little” Sonny Jones” handelt oder ob Bo persönlich am Mikro war (am Klavier saß er zweifellos) und ein Pseudonym verwendet hat, ist noch etwas umstritten. Für mich geht die Tendenz aber deutlich in Richtung “Eddie Bo ist Sonny Jones”. Zum einen, weil auf der Funky-Delicacies-Compilation “The Hook And Sling” Sonny Jones gar nicht mehr erwähnt wird. Zum anderen, weil die Stimme doch sehr nach Mr. Bocage klingt. Ich weiß, einige schreiben, dafür sei die Stimme des Sängers zu hoch. Aber ich denke, dass ein Künstler wie Eddie Bo durchaus dazu in der Lage ist, seinen Gesang an das Stück anzupassen. Und eine etwas damenhaftere Stimmlage erscheint bei einem Stück, das “Sissy Walk” heißt, durchaus passend.

Similar to the majority of society, when I hear something via the news, gossip, radio, etc and want to know more, the first place I head to is Google. I am true to Google, and I find that it rarely lets me down and is very helpful. Number 2 on my list? Wikipedia. These sites make information easy to access and have great readability. Of course, I can usually discern between helpful information and information that may not be true. But, to some degree, I have a great deal of trust in the internet. Like many people, I believe that people are mostly good, and that many things on the internet can actually aid me in my daily life.

Unfortunately, not all of society is good. Of course, the danger of the internet is completely overblown. Not every teenage girl who enters a chat room is going to be a victim of some gruesome kidnapping spree. In fact, that girl is more in danger from her own family than an internet. The fact is that children using the internet are going to excel in many ways. What we, as teachers and parents, need to do, is to teach responsibility while using the internet. There are places children should not go, and the majority know that.  They have to exert responsibility while using the internet, knowing that not everything they read is true and that they cannot act out whatever they read on posts. For example, check out this news story that happened on Friday on CNN about Facebook and a 12-year-old. Basically, someone made a Facebook page called “Kick a Ginger Day,” and a bunch of boys in California got together and beat up a 12 year-old redhead at their school. Is this Facebook’s fault? or is this the result of teenage boys not using their accessibility to the internet responsibly? There are many who blame Facebook. Maybe there should be stronger rules guarding what can get placed onto Facebook, but that gets into the whole concept of censorship. No one likes to be controlled my censors, and it takes away people’s rights and freedoms to post. It really all comes down to responsibility. I am responsible to know what Im reading on Google or Wikipedia, and we need to ensure that the future generations can use that same responsibility when they are on the web.

Recentemente a Microsoft lançou o seu mais novo sistema operacional, o Windows 7, o sistema apresenta melhorias com relação ao Windows vista,  mas com certeza o que mais impressionou no Windows 7 é a sua praticidade ao ser manuseado.

Eu instalei e venho testado seus recursos e devo dizer, o que mais gostei no sistema foi o reconhecimento da rede, foi capaz de reconhecer a rede e fazer a configuração de privacidade dele quase que automático, o sistema plug and play também impressiona, se for instalado um monitor com touch não é preciso configurar o próprio sistema faz a instalação e configuração sozinho, ao ser instalado todos os recursos de hardware também foram instalados automaticamente inclusive o direct x 10 o que chegou a me deixar confuso no primeiro momento, já que no XP os drives de hardware tinham que ser todos instalados manualmente, dispositivos como monitor, mouse e teclado tem suas informações todas coletadas e disponibilizadas para que o usuário, a  usabilidade é estável e realmente fico muito fácil de ser usado.

Se o usuário estiver instalado em seu PC a versão Windows 7 Ultimate e for preciso usar alguma versão de software que não é compatível com a versão Ultimate o próprio sistema faz uma conversão para o versão básic(que aceita softwares não compatíveis como por exemplo o Fireworks 8 não utilizava do mesmo sistema de cores e do aero do Windows 7) e logo depois do software ser utilizado ele mesmo volta a sua versão normal, no geral é o vista muito melhorado e bem mais fácil de ser utilizado.

Finally the ever awaited list of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO)  is out which has names of 8,041 beneficiaries out of which only 34 are politicians and rest are from bureaucracy , criminals, businessmen and other accused.

There is a huge demand from various corners of the society to take resignations voluntarily or in voluntarily from the people who benefited from this law and are still serving in the government.

The point of view of government as presented by federal minister for information and governor of Gilgit-Bultistan Qamar Zaman Kaira is that demanding resignations from NRO beneficiaries uncalled for.  The reason he gives is one will have to differentiate between charges and crimes and that nothing has so far been proved against the NRO beneficiaries which on principle seems to be OK! But can the information minister inform us about the pending cases and trials of common people in courts who have to justify their innocence before law to get acquitted and if the NRO angels where innocent then why they took refuge in a dictator’s shelter of NRO.

The question here is of morality and social justice that why an elite group of people found it necessary to get a clearance certificate through a draconian law instead of facing the courts whereas a common man has to face years of trial to get justice.

Still no full list of beneficiaries and cases is provided to the people and media.

We also demand the list of people who got benefits from loan forgiveness or unfair settlements through corrupt political and banking practices.

My Windows 7 on my desktop just told me I might be running a counterfeit copy of windows and asked me to buy a new one, I clicked on remind me later. It really isn’t a pirated version, it was the beta download Microsoft had on their website last summer.

Windows 7 is Vista just more stable and way faster with more customization options and a different look. I do like it I just don’t understand what people had against Vista, I tried xp on my tower before windows 7 just to go back and use it again, it was like going from a 360 to playing the first NES, Vista is a nice smooth running operating system always has been for me on my notebook even before the service packs.

This week, in our Freeware Page, we posted a brief review about Rocketdock, a terrific “Apple style” dock for Windows. We decided to test Rocketdock on a Windows XP and the results were positive and we did not find bugs. Rocketdock is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and the brand new Windows 7 using just 10MB of RAM. To add a new icon it is sufficient to drag and drop it into the bar and it will be automatically added. To cut off an icon you have to drag it from the dock to an empty space on the desktop and it is immediately removed. To conclude we suggest this freeware because it is really customizable and easy to add & tune to your existing desktop. Recommended!

ISLAMABAD – List of beneficiaries of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) released by Ministry of Law and Justice on Saturday took the top politicians of the state to task and perceived them as black sheep of the society.
Some 34 politicians have been ranked first in the list of some 8,041 persons in terms of money, murders, attempted murders, balwa, embezzlement, corruption, malpractice, terrorism, kidnappings and other crimes of heinous nature. Keeping in view their massive embezzlements, these politicians seem to be heavy burden on the country that is already facing a severe financial crunch.
The Law Ministry for the first time has brought the big fish to surface by releasing the list of country’s most corrupt people. “The notorious guns of malpractice of these black sheep which left the poor at the mercy of God had been used as common practice against the innocents since decades,” NRO list observed.
The top beneficiary of NRO is Altaf Hussain whose 72 cases including 31 murder cases were dismissed. President Asif Ali Zardari had seven cases against him, while the number of Dr Farooq Sattar’s cases was 13. Most politicians had one to two cases against them. Madam Nusrat Bhutto, the spouse of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, also heads over thousands in the notorious list.
The MQM headed over other political parties whose workers hit the iron when it was hot. However, the PML-Q workers kept them away from that shoddy practice.
Addressing a press conference, Minister of State for Law & Justice Mohammad Afzal Sindhu on Saturday released the much-awaited list of the beneficiaries of NRO. The total number of NRO beneficiaries is 8,041 and 34 top politicians, 248 bureaucrats and three ambassadors are included in it, he told.
“Corruption, embezzlement and criminal cases dumped under NRO will likely to be reopened, as the goose of the said ordinance will be cooked on November 28, 2009,” he said. Many stalwarts of the country’s political arena will fight legal battle in the courts as the top court of the country terms NRO null ab initio, he explained.
Sindhu also announced a few important names in the list, which include President Asif Ali Zardari, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, Begam Nusrat Bhutto, Federal Ministers Ch. Ahmad Mukhtar, Rehman Malik, Dr. Farooq Sattar, and Babar Ghori, Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, Jahangir Badr, Anwar Saifullah, Yousaf Talpur, Ch. Shaukat Ali, Haji Nawaz Khokhar (late), Agha Siraj Ahmad Durrani, Mir Baz Kithran, Mushtaq Awan, Sulman Farooqi, Hussain Haqqani, Wajid Sham-ul-Hassan, A.R. Siddiqui, Saleem Shahzad, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, Mian Mohammad Rasheed, Tariq Rasheed, Tariq Mahmood, Sardar Maqsood Leghari, Ghani-ur-Rehman, Javed Ahmed Qureshi, Brig. (Retd) Imtiaz, Brig. (Retd) Aslam Hayat, Safdar Barqi and Saeed Mehdi.

“Sindh is on the bottom line in the said list as some 7,793 people obtained relief under Article 2 of the NRO’s Review Board. The number of beneficiaries of the Review Board is 3,230,” he said.

The PPP would have to give credibility to the chief of a major political party, he remarked.
The notorious NRO granted amnesty to politicians, political workers and bureaucrats who were accused of corruption, embezzlement, money laundering, murders and terrorism from 1st January 1986 to October 12, 1999, he emphasised.
The State Minister for Law said the myriad corruption cases had been pending since decades, adding only one case was decided and after that three judges had to resign.
Answering a query, he said NRO was brought in the Parliament at the direction of the Supreme Court and the verdicts of the higher judiciary would be respected in future as well.
