En definitiva nuestro plan contable general revisado tiene como una de sus características más importantes la flexibilidad. Es decir, el hecho de asignar un grupo de cuentas a una clase no significa que todas reúnan las mismas condiciones.

Así por ejemplo tenemos el caso de la cuenta 74 Descuentos, Rebajas y Bonificaciones Concedidas que si bien esta dentro de la clase 7 Ingresos, no reúne los requisitos para ser considerado como tal.

Situación similar sucede con la cuenta 72 Producción Inmovilizada que es usada cuando se trata de operaciones vinculadas a la construcción de un activo fijo por la propia organización.

Entonces nos preguntamos si esta situación también se repite en la cuenta 78 y 79. Cabe precisar que en Contabilidad tenemos las CUENTAS POR EL CONTRA, cuyo papel es servir para efectos de cumplir con la regla de la partida doble “para una cuenta acreedora existe una deudora y viceversa”, el caso más explicito de aplicación de esta situación lo constituyen los asientos realizados con cuentas de orden (clase 0), si ustedes observan estas cuentas tienen el concepto “por contra”, como observamos a continuación:

Obviamente en el asiento anterior no podemos afirmar que la responsabilidad “va al haber” por partida doble, sino simplemente se considera una cuenta para contrapesar el asiento contable.

La cuenta 78 y 79 son un tipo especial de cuentas “por contra” porque su razón de ser no es cumplir la partida doble, sino evitar el efecto del registro de un doble gasto al momento de sistematizar la información de los libros contables en la hoja de trabajo.

En el caso de los gastos que tienen “destino” encontramos un doble registro por la clase 6 (como cargas por naturaleza) y la clase 9 (Centros de Costos o Contabilidad Analítica) aun cuando realmente se trate de un solo gasto desde la perspectiva de las personas u organizaciones que intervienen en la operación.

El papel de la cuenta 79 es servir de contrapeso frente a la clase 9 y evitar el registro de un doble gasto, quedando solo las cuentas de la clase 6. Tal como observamos a continuación:

En el caso de la cuenta 78 Cargas Cubiertas por Provisiones, la idea es anular los efectos del registro de un gasto que fue provisionado previamente con la cuenta 48. Tal como observamos en el siguiente registro:

A manera de conclusión podemos señalar que la cuenta 78 y 79 cumplen un papel fundamental dentro del proceso de preparación y presentación de información en el Estado de ganancias y Pérdidas para evitar el efecto de un doble gasto.

i didn’t even use my card at all until yesterday, but i did check my account when i got home. i also just got done shopping with my mom and am glancing over those purchases now. my dad sprung it on me this week that i’ll also be paying for my gas now. i can’t really complain though, it is about time! i’m so spoiled. i’m hoping that my tips will be able to cover all my gas expenses.  (2/2 times for 2/131 weeks)

just paid off another $100. rawr rawr rawr. why did i get a credit card in the first place?

goal #81, wash hair using the no-poo system for a month:
my hair is really oily still. i was under the impression that the baking soda would dry it out some. still washing my hair with no-poo every other day. this is what i did with regular shampoo oh well, i am still enjoying it and i actually really like the gritty feeling. is that weird? (2/4 weeks)

goal #82, shop at thift stores before going retail:
well, i needed new work shoes, and i didn’t want to spend a lot of time trying to find them. i don’t even know if a second hand store would carry the kind opf work shoes i need. i’d have to be soooo lucky. so i went to target and i spent$30 on work shoes. that were comfortable in the store and once i got home, i put them on, walked to the front door, took them off and went straight back to my room to put my old ones one. goodbye shoes, hello return!

PERTH (Reuters) – Oil rose more than $1 to above $78 a barrel on Monday, recouping some of the previous session’s near 3 percent loss, on fears a powerful hurricane would cut U.S. oil and gas supplies and also lifted by the falling dollar.

Hurricane Ida roared on Sunday through the Gulf of Mexico, where important oilfields are located, after triggering floods and mudslides that killed 124 people in El Salvador, and was expected to weaken gradually on Monday as it heads for some of the facilities in the central Gulf.

U.S. crude for December delivery rose 96 cents to $78.39 a barrel by 0559 GMT (12:59 a.m. EST) after earlier surging to $78.45. London Brent crude also rose 94 cents to $76.81.

Oil has gained around 70 percent so far this year but is still about 47 percent below the record high of above 147 hit in July last year.

“Reports of tropical storms potentially impacting operations in the Gulf of Mexico would be supportive in the near term, but investors generally focus on economic and inventory data for direction,” Australia & New Zealand Bank said in a research note on Monday.

Analysts said the falling U.S. dollar versus other commodity-linked currencies, led by the New Zealand dollar, also lent support to oil and commodities such as soy and crude palm oil, while gold jumped to another record on safe-haven buying.

NO LASTING IMPACT FROM IDA?

Fast-moving Hurricane Ida led oil companies to begin evacuating workers on Sunday and prompted the nation’s only offshore oil port to stop taking foreign crude from tankers.

Despite the threat Ida poses to U.S. oil supplies, analysts said oil prices are unlikely to stage a strong rally even if some capacity is shut in.

“A combination of ample spare refining capacity and plenty of crude in land and offshore storage reduces the chances that this storm will have a lasting impact on the oil price trajectory,” JP Morgan’s energy analyst Lawrence Eagles said in a note.

Saudi Arabia, the world’s top oil exporter, plans to keep curbs on crude oil supplies steady in December to some of its customers in Asia, industry sources said on Monday.

Underscoring the slim chance that OPEC would soon raise supplies, United Arab Emirates Oil Minister Mohammed al-Hamli said on Saturday that raising oil production was not currently on the agenda for the producer group.

Oil settled down $2.19 on Friday, after data showed the U.S. jobless rate jumped more than expected to a 26-1/2-year high of 10.2 percent in October, raising concerns about a drag on fuel demand.

The U.S. Labor Department said employers cut 190,000 jobs in October, more than the 175,000 that markets had expected, bringing unemployment to 10.2 percent.

Analysts said investors were set to scrutinize trade reports from the world’s biggest exporters — Germany, China and the United States — to gauge if the recent economic revival is sustainable once governments and central banks curb the flow of easy money.
