What: The Change to Win Truth Squad – 9 workers traveling 9 states to tell union members the truth about the consequences of a John McCain’s policies for working Americans – is holding a Health Care Funeral in front of Lackawanna County Republican headquarters to demonstrate the dangers these policies pose for uninsured working families. The McCain healthcare plan includes a tax on worker’s health care benefits and his health care advisor, John Goodman, recently said there are no uninsured Americans because anyone can get into an emergency room. Squad members are dressing as “McCain Health Care Reapers” to highlight the consequences of McCain’s tax hike on health care and his campaign’s dismissal of the millions of Americans who are uninsured. 50 workers are joining the demonstration and a Scranton resident affected by the healthcare crisis is speaking at the event.

When: 11:00 AM, Friday, October 3, 2008

Where: Lackawanna County Republican Committee
507 Linden St
