Severed Ways: The Norse Discovery of America (Tony Stone, 2007)

Here is another one of those films I wanted to turn off 20 minutes in that dramatically increased in quality by the time it finished. The film begins with extreme, graphic realism – a headache-inducing exaggerated use of the shaky cam, the camera’s refusal to look away during moments no one has business watching, etc. Though the film obviously prides itself on its gritty realism, the production felt a bit film-school-ish too. Actually, this a flaw throughout. I’m sure the budget played a big part in this, so I’m trying not to judge it too harshly from that standpoint.

Even as I watched this and wanted to turn it off, I was noticing Stone’s ability to mesh the extreme machoism of the vikings with a somewhat poetic look at the land and use of music. Once the movie hits its turning point, these moments basically dominate the viewing experience. (The cinematography and music both seem to soar in quality.) There are a group of scenes where one of the vikings meets a monk and begins a secret friendship that are extremely touching. Watching the man take an obvious interest in the monk’s faith as the two spend time together and teach each other is an amazing illustration of sharing God’s word out of love and true relationship, as opposed to a way to ‘get people saved’. The film uses very little dialogue and relies mostly on visuals to tell the story, which adds to the poetic nature of the film. The film truly looks at the roots of human nature and what it means to possess friendship and faith.  8.5/10

Now I wouldn’t consider myself an expert on American geography, but I’m pretty sure Point Juncture, WA, is not the same place as Portland, OR, which is where this peculiarly-named band actually come from. Still, that minor confusion swept aside, ‘Heart To Elk’ is their new album, and it seems to be mostly focused on the ‘modern classics’.

The first urgent tug on your sleeve listening to this album is the intelligence of the music, layer after layer come cascading into your ears, and it’s a very pleasurable experience. ‘Once Tasted Ever Wanted’ features a backdrop of weird drum rhythms and tinkling percussion and dreamy vocals, while ‘The Easy Winners’ has a male vocal, wooden-sounding electronic taps and odd bubbling noises that sound like the tar pits from Captain Caveman. It’s all a bit strange, but really, REALLY easy to listen to and enjoy.

The whole package, including my personal favourite song ‘Melon Bird’ (a more indie-pop track with a soundscape that could only be described as ‘natural sci-fi’ – strange cascades and beeps that sound like they’ve been made by steel drums in a forest clearing) is very engaging but also relaxing, and a graceful leap forward for Point Juncture, WA. This band have, with this album, taken the hippies at Woodstock (complete with organic tobacco) and given them a full techno-package BMW 7-series to play with. And by the sound of it, they’ve taken a liking to the gentle massage seats.

I recently installed Kubuntu 9.10 and found out that my printer was not recognised. My printer model is hp-910. Previously, I had spent a day configuring this printer on OpenBSD (with success). I ran ‘hp-check’ on Kubuntu 9.10 and it said that I need to run following commands:

After this, I ran ‘hp-check’ again and it said: “Unsupported model: 910″. I then shot an arrow in the air [without caring about where it lands ] i.e.:
sudo apt-get install cups

This installed CUPS and started cupsd (and all other stuff/settings were done automatically) and in KDE system tray it said:
“Printer hp910 is now ready to print your documents” (or something similar to this).

Then I printed a ODT document and printer was making that familiar noise

A couple of times in past months I tried installing my printer (hp 910) under OpenBSD. This thought had previously destroyed many days of mine in an effort to print using my hp-910 printer under OpenBSD. But as someone had rightly said: “To have no errors would be life without meaning-No struggle, no joy”. Although there were no errors, but I was missing one step or other every time I tried and thus there was a never ending ’struggle’) I finally got ‘joy’ of printing using my printer under OpenBSD a couple of days ago

That day I started in afternoon with plans to print under my OpenBSD 4.5 installation. I tried looking for some help at #openbsd on freenode…the fine folks there gave me a few pointers. I also tried searching google and got some good stuff (and links) on OpenBSD forum on nabble.com.
I first tried configuring CUPS, then tried using ‘lpd’, then some other stuff. Then I tried configuring CUPS again. This took most of my day and in the end when I was starting to lose hope….whoosh, I gave a “Print test page” command using CUPS local web interface and my printer made that familiar sound of printing. I was laughing for the first time that day.

O co chodzi?

O hasło do konta użytkownika.
Sprawa jest dość prosta.
Podczas instalacji Ubuntu, nie podajemy hasła root, zauważył to ktoś. W innych dystrybucjach jest wymagane podanie hasła root, ale w Ubuntu – nie.

Sprawa jest tym bardziej absurdalna, że tak naprawdę, nie wiadomo ile użytkowników Ubuntu, po instalacji, wchodzi do ustawień użytkowników, i ustawia hasło na konto root, które go nie posiada. Metoda zmiany też jest dość kontrowersyjna, ponieważ podajemy hasło zwykłego użytkownika, aby dodać nowego użytkownika, zmieniamy nasze hasło, albo ustawiamy uprawnienia do kont, oraz ustawiamy hasło konta root. Nie ważne czy graficznie, czy przez terminal/konsole.
Do tego można dodać, metodę logowania się do synaptic (instalacja programów) , albo uzyskiwanie prawa root, poprzez “sudo” np. sudo nautilus i możemy skasować co nam się podoba, bo mamy prawa administratora.

Co z tego wynika.
Że wystarczy znać hasło użytkownika, i w krótkim czasie przejąć kontrolę nad systemem.

Nie musi to być haker, ale ktoś z domowników, partner, ktokolwiek, kto podpatrzy nasze hasło, ma cały system przed sobą.
Czy na tym polega bezpieczeństwo Ubuntu, że uproszczono nawet używanie hasła?

Przykład:
Jest siostra i brat. Brat zainstalował siostrze Ubuntu i chce się dostać na laptop swojej siostry, aby zrobić jej psikusa. Podpatruje hasło użytkownika. Nie świadoma niczego siostra, odchodzi od laptopa na chwilę, brat mając jej hasło, może narzucić swoje hasło na system, nałożyć hasło na root, może wszystko co chce, bo system nie pyta się o hasło root ale haslo zwykłego użytkownika. Dlatego brat może zrobić co chce i zmienić w systemie co chce.

Czy to nazywa się bezpieczny system, albo bezpieczeństwo??
Bo dla mnie to kpina, że mając zwykłe hasło użytkownika, cały system staje się nasz.

Nawet zakładając hasło na root, nie jesteśmy pytani o to hasło, w żadnym pytaniu przy komunikacie o podanie hasła.
W innych systemach, Fedora, Opensuse, aby coś zrobić w systemie, zmienić coś, zainstalować coś, potrzebne jest hasło root, a nie użytkownika.

Warto się zastanowić, czy Ubuntu jest bezpieczne…

Co dziennie spotyka mnie zaszczyt aktualizacji systemu. Nie jest tego dużo, no ale dziwi mnie jednak to, że poprawki wychodzą z repo karmic koala. Czy to oznacza że system został wydany za szybko lub dopiero kiedy większa rzesza ludzi potwierdza błędy, są one naprawiane??

Na to wygląda
Ponieważ przechodząc już po tygodniu od wydania 9.04 na 9.10, gdzie w repo było już nowe jądro, nowe paczki i inne zmiany, otrzymywałem wszystko z repo 9.10, a nie jak jest to obecnie z repo 9.10.

Nie chce mówić na wyrost, ale czytam coraz więcej tekstów w internecie, że Ubuntu karmic koala 9.10 jest nie stabilny, i nie dopracowany.

Ale tak szczerze patrząc:
1. Jakie poprawki wprowadził Canonical do obecnego Ubuntu??
2. Jakie zmiany zaszły w systemie, na plus??
3. Co zrobiło Canonical, aby usprawnić PulseAudio ??
4. Gdzie są zmiany na miarę nowej wersji, jakie zapowiadano??
5. Gdzie jest prędkość ładowania się systemu, tak szumnie zapowiadana??
6. Czy obecny system nie wydaje się gorszy niż poprzednik??
7. Na co komu Ubuntuone??
8. Na co komu wprowadzenie nowego programu do instalacji programów, podzielonego na płatne i darmowe??
9. Na co komu szybkość ładowania się systemu, bez sprawdzanie dysków, jeśli tej szybkości nie ma??
10. Co zrobiło Canonical, dla użytkowników, a nie dla siebie??

Odpowiem, jak ja to widzę:
1. Dla mnie to nie ma prawie żadnych. Poprawili działanie bluetooth, ale nikt nie pomyślał, że może chce podłączyć telefon przez kabel do laptopa, czy komputera. A to nie działa, a w windows od wersji XP do obecnej, działa wykrywanie telefonu jako pamięci masowej. W Ubuntu nie działa… nawet przez program.

2.Szczerze, to nie wiem…

3. Obecnie musi być zainstalowane PulseAudio, ponieważ pojawiają się konflikty w programach i ich wyłączanie się. Problemy z brakiem regulacji dźwięku po przejściu na Alsa i ściszanie go, co może błędnie ktoś interpretować że, dźwięk nie działa.

10. Wydał kolejną wersję Ubuntu, zamiast wydać coś na zasadzie paczki z poprawkami.

Przesiadka z jednego systemu już opisałem we wcześniejszych postach.
Co może nie działać tak jak ma działać.

Ale tak naprawdę, zmiany systemu z jednego na drugi można skopiować z mojego poradnika dla przejścia z 8.10 na 9.04, co było koszmarem. Obecnie już posiadam paczki z lucid i mój system w najbliższej przyszłości stanie się w pełni pół na pół karmic/lucid a za kilka dni, lub może tygodni w pełni lucid

Na co warto uważać z przechodzeniu z 9.04 na 9.10.

Problemy…

Błędy Canonical to upychanie w cd rzeczy, które nie są potrzebne. I tu jest problem, bo później się okazuje że sterowniki, dodatkowe paczki od społeczności nie są dostosowane do komponentów systemu.
np. sterowniki do nVidia i problem z jądrem systemu lub pulseaudio.

Obecnie Pulseaudio musi być w systemie, inaczej jak to u mnie się stało, programy do filmów odmówiły mi posłuszeństwa choć w ustawieniach było ustawione alsa.
Takie działanie ma wymusić, nie kasowanie wybranych komponentów, ale powiedzmy sobie szczerze, TWÓRCY UBUNTU NIE ROBIĄ NIC, ABY USPRAWNIĆ DZIAŁANIE CZEGOKOLWIEK, co nie można powiedzieć o twórcach fedory, czy opensuse.

35 Rhums (Claire Denis, 2008)

Whenever Claire Denis wants to, she can be as poetic as any filmmaker has ever been. Her mixture of drowned colors, smooth camera movements, relaxed character presences, and dream-like music make for a fascinating experience. The first 10 minutes of this film (a constant barrage of what I just described) were cinematic perfection to me. And there are several moments like this throughout. Denis always does an amazing job picking a soundtrack for her films, and this might be her best one.

For fans of Yasujiro Ozu, the story was a familiar one: 20-something daughter doesn’t want to move out of her widowed father’s place in fear of his well-being. But Denis makes this story modern and it works completely. There is a family friend with a love interest in the daughter, and the way he seeks her company is both sweet and heartbreaking. There is also an older woman who may or may not have had a relationship with the father in the past. Their dynamic is a little awkward and at times desperate. But these four characters definitely have unique and poignant relationships all the way around, and I almost felt as if I was a part of their ‘family’ by the time this was done.  9.25/10

Ubuntu Marketing Team revival and SpreadUbuntu

The Ubuntu Marketing team has existed for ages but has been a little unstructured, lacked a vision with a path of action and thus its potential has not been reached this far. Some good project have been created there (The Fridge and the Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter being the greatest examples) but it’s been a long time since some palpable progress has been made. And that’s just sad, because we can make this team suck less and produce more.

Now, as the Ubuntu Community matures, the team seems to be gaining traction again and people, oldies and newcomers, are all excited about it! As a person that has been part of the team exactly since one year after its creation (October th 20th, 2005)  I have to add myself to the excitement!

As a sign of frustration with the lack of productivity of the team I decided to put my time, sweat and tears where my mouth is and took upon myself making a reality one of the oldest projects the Marketing team has had in mind: Spread Ubuntu. But in this, as with everything in life, wishes are not enough and my lack of time, technical know-how and Drupal/PHP knowledge could not take me that far. I had to get some hardcore web guru to join me. And lucky, and sometimes too vocal and loud, as I am I got some people interested. One of them, my man echowarp, aka now Ubuntu Member Evan Boldt, got really into the idea of Spread Ubuntu. His Drupal ability, technical insight and innovative self made in the end the Spread Ubuntu site a reality. Evan, you really are my Ubuntu Community Hero®! I will never get tired of saying that!

With the raise of SpreadUbuntu as a Marketing Team project and its potential as a central marketing tool for LoCos and newcomers alike the marketing team seems to finally have aligned itself with the spirit of the global Ubuntu community and has now gained a place in its awareness Things are moving along fast this time and ideas, contributions and initiatives are flourishing like they never before have!

So, if you are interested in fixing Ubuntu’s bug #1 reported by Mark Shuttleworth or have a deep desire to see the whole planet (as in Earth and the SpreadUbuntu logo) Ubuntized here and now is the time to get yourself involved and get things rolling!

Karmic Release in Norway

The Ubuntu 9.10 release got so much attention in the Norwegian IT media that I must say the phenomenon is unprecedented!

As if that was not enough: Ubunter@s in Norway are starting to get involved in the development of the team like never before and we are right now working on a reorganization of the Team itself and also revamping our web presence! Which really is for me a dream that comes true! We are talking about an Ubuntu Jam before Christhmas and what not!

Ubuntu Open Week in Spanish

Just to round up the Spanish-speaking Ubuntu community has managed to keep an alternative UOW for those that can’t speaking English but still want to learn more about our favorite distro and its community.

I’d have to say honestly, that this was truly a good animation. Well, I didn’t see it in 3D but it still was quite good.

The humor in this movie was slapstick and easygoing. What more could you want from a childrens movie. Well, I’d have to say that it even fits for grown-ups. Hell, even I liked it.

The story was kept simple yet humorous, with a parallel storyline. The characters were rememberable and funny. And well they weren’t cheesy.

Also, the animations were kept simple and everything went smoothly.

But I have one complaint – in some occasions the humor went over the line. A la cake in the face, or a foot in the ass joke.

I don’t actually know why I liked this movie so much. Was it the great company or a half-empty cinema..I guess both.

Anyway, I think it’s time to find your inner child and go and see this movie. It’s worth it. I promise.

Efterklang & The Danish National Chamber Orchestra – Performing Parades (Leaf, październik 2009)

W 2000 roku w Kopenhadze pięciu muzyków założyło zespół Efterklang. Trzy lata później, nakładem własnej wytwórni Rumraket, wydali w ilości 500 egzemplarzy swoją pierwszą epkę. A później mieli już z górki. Podpisany z labelem Leaf kontrakt zaowocował debiutanckim, dobrze przyjętym albumem „Tripper”, zaś jego następca, „Parades”, odniósł niebywały sukces. Efterklang dostał propozycję zagrania z orkiestrą, więc artyści nie zastanawiali się długo, chwycili okazję i tym sposobem otrzymaliśmy „Performing Parades”, czyli zapis koncertu z pięćdziesięcioosobowym składem Duńskiej Narodowej Orkiestry Kameralnej.

Czy najnowszy album jest lepszy od „Parades”? Trudno określić, tym trudniej, że muzycy grali utwory z płyty źródła, tyle że zaaranżowane na całą orkiestrę. Żeby dowiedzieć się więcej, odsyłam do mojej recenzji zamieszczonej na Nowej Muzyce.

A tutaj na zachętę mały cytat:

„[Tegoroczna płyta] Wydaje się logicznym krokiem. Wielu artystów działających w obrębie nowych brzmień ma na swoim koncie występy z orkiestrowym składem, wystarczy wspomnieć Jeffa Millsa czy Alva Noto, a filharmoniczna przestrzeń daje duże pole do popisu i nową, akustyczno-dźwiękową jakość. [...] Aranżacją utworów na pięćdziesięcioosobowy skład zajął się zaproszony do współpracy kompozytor Karsten Fundal. Po dziesięciu miesiącach przygotowań, 26 września 2008 roku odbył się pierwszy koncert, z którego zapisem możemy zapoznać się dzisiaj. Na „Performing Parades” grupa zagrała repertuar znany z poprzedniej płyty, więc spotykamy się tutaj z tymi samymi utworami, tyle że w zmienionej oprawie. Efterklang nie zrezygnował z elektroniki, jednak to orkiestra wysuwa się na pierwszy plan. Muzyka nabrała nowego, żywego i przestrzennego wymiaru.”

Through a Glass Darkly (Ingmar Bergman, 1961)

This is one of the most complicated films I’ve ever seen. As with many of Bergman’s movies, there is faith and spirituality all through this movie, but it’s a heck of a lot less obvious here. The film is set on a small, remote (beautiful) island and features only four characters. As the film progresses we learn of these characters’ inner demons and struggles. Most obviously, the character of Karin suffers from schizophrenia, and is told by her hallucinations that she will meet God. The character of David is self-centered, and a poor father. Martin is prideful, and Minus struggles with lust. All four are real people with real problems.

Karin’s schizophrenia is the center of the story, which actually makes is slightly difficult to identify the other characters’ struggles, but I believe they are just as important. The film is about family, recognizing flaws exist, but surrounding each other with love (and by doing that, God as well) despite these flaws. Through a Glass Darkly is one of Bergman’s most beautifully shot, intimate films. It is most definitely a difficult film to watch, but can be rewarding.  9.25/10

Als der Dorfarzt samt Pferd über einen heimtückisch gespannten Draht stürzt, ist das der Beginn einer Reihe von unerklärlichen Unfällen und Anschlägen, die die protestantische Beschaulichkeit erschüttert. Der Fall bleibt unaufgeklärt, das Leben geht zunächst weiter, die dörfliche Sozialstruktur von Macht, Gehorsam und Abhängigkeit wird exemplarisch am Innenleben einiger Familien demonstriert. Mit dem Fortgang der Verbrechensserie eskaliert die unheilsame äußere Bedrohung des archaischen Systems, Kurzschlussreaktionen reißen den Mantel des Beharrens auf, bis sich letztlich mit dem Kriegsausbruch eine Zäsur andeutet.

Kritik: Michael Haneke seziert die Ursprünge des Nationalsozialismus kurz vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Brillant in edlem Schwarz-Weiß fotografiert, dialoglastig und nahezu völlig musikfrei schlingt sich DAS WEISSE BAND 144 Minuten langsam und unerbittlich um die Kehle des zunehmend schockierten Betrachters, der die Auflösung der rätselhaften Verbrechen in dem namenlos bleibenden Dorf lange vor den Protagonisten kennt und sich dennoch vor der grausamen Wahrheit verschließen möchte.

Von der Mär der “guten alten Zeit” bleibt in der von Haneke scharf und prägnant umrissenen Welt nicht die kleinste Kleinigkeit übrig. Sicher: Die Gemeinschaft ist mit den üblichen Honoratioren sowie Bauern samt Gesinde bevölkert, jeder scheint eine Vielzahl an Kindern um den Tisch zu versammeln, man isst im Schweiße des Angesichts, die Kornfelder wiegen sich im Wind …, und dennoch reichen die wenigen leichten Momente, die sich ausnahmslos um den arglosen Schullehrer ranken, nicht aus, um der Eiseskälte zu wehren, die sich beunruhigend im Herzen des Zuschauers ausbreitet.

Es ist eine patriarchalische Welt, in der die Frauen zu devoten Erfüllungsgehilfinnen der Strenge und Willkür degradiert werden. Liebe wird höchstens Neugeborenen durch die Mutter und/oder Kinderfrauen zuteil, schon bald erlischt jedes Lachen, jede spielerische Freude in den Gesichtern der Zöglinge. In der hierarchisch ausgeprägten Welt der Erwachsenen geht seinesgleichen schon nicht zimperlich miteinander um, und die Kinder am Ende der Befehlskette lernen ihre Lektionen am eigenen Körper, um dermaßen ausgerichtet und gestählt ins eigene spätere Leben zu marschieren.

Auf explizite Gewaltdarstellung verzichtet Haneke weitgehend. Der Sturz des Pferdes zu Beginn des Films und ein kurzer Flash auf das misshandelte Gesicht des behinderten Karli sind die Ausnahmen. Zucht und Strafe spielen sich hinter verschlossenen Türen ab, werden verbal verabreicht und sind dennoch umso wirksamer in der Vorstellung des Zuschauers. Mitleid für die Opfer erwächst, zugleich Zorn auf die Peiniger, dieser Mix wird genuiner in der unerbittlichen Stille (durch den Verzicht auf musikalische Stimmungsverstärker) und die kalte Schwarzweißoptik von DAS WEISSE BAND.

Haneke dreht die Schaube noch weiter an, in dem er den Jungen und Mädchen, die normalerweise mit dem Nimbus der Unschuld umgeben sind, selbst eine Bedrohlichkeit angedeihen lässt, die der der Kinder aus dem Klassiker DAS DORF DER VERDAMMTEN (1959/60) nicht unähnlich ist. Hier wie dort rotten sie sich zu Gruppen zusammen, lungern an Tatschauplätzen herum und halten auch der Befragung durch Kriminalbeamte aus der Stadt stand. Beim Casten der jungen Akteure haben die Verantwortlichen wirklich ganze Arbeit geleistet und kleine Monster in Menschengestalt geschaffen.

Herausgekommen ist eine deutsche Kindergeschichte der ganz besonderen Art. Und die Erkenntnis, dass manchmal die besten Horrorfilme gar keine Horrorfilme sind.

Its the Karmic Koala! Ubuntu 9.10. I am busy getting Kubuntu! Whats your flavor?

Today is the official release day of Ubuntu 9.10.  Jono Bacon ran an Ubuntu party channel in IRC (for which I was present) Its aim was to get 1000 users in the chat channel.   It took about 3 hours from the time of his first Twit inviting people to the channel that 1000 users was hit, so well done Ubuntu and Jono!

Meanwhile I am downloading Kubuntu in my on-going quest to get into KDE!  So in 30 or so minutes I will be experiencing 9.10 in KDE loveliness on my distro-hopping machine.

Over on Twitter Trends Ubuntu is receiving attention just as Windows 7 did, the naysayers who claim Linux is a minority OS are starting to have less of an argument now as more and more people are trying Linux and in particular Ubuntu.

Ubuntu 9.10 is called Karmic Koala, this is a little obvious news to most Linux users who will be well aware of Ubuntu, but for those that are not, why not give Linux a try?  Ubuntu is a very user friendly Linux which doesn’t expect you to part with cash to use it (unlike Microsoft offerings).  If you were considering an upgrade to Windows 7, why not try Ubuntu first?

There is a great Youtube clip below comparing the boot speeds of Vista, Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.04/9.10.  Of course Ubuntu wins hands down, but what is even more interesting is that Vista boots quicker than Windows 7!

Dubkasm – Transform I (Sufferah’s Choice, wrzesień 2009)

Dubkasm mnie zaskoczył, po prostu nie spodziewałem się tak mocnego uderzenia z tej strony.

Duet Dubkasm tworzą dwaj muzycy, Digistep i DJ Stryda, którzy jednak nie nagrywają sami, bowiem, jak w przypadku tego rodzaju płyt bywa, często zapraszają gości. Właśnie z gościnnym udziałem wielu wokalistów powstał album „Transform I”, połączenie brazylijskich i afrykańskich brzmień roots reggae z digital dubem Bristolu.

Powyżej można obejrzeć film promujący „Transform I”, zaś moją recenzję przeczytać na Nowej Muzyce, do czego namawiam. Na zachętę dodam krótki cytat:

„Na „Transform I” usłyszymy wiele brazylijskich plemiennych instrumentów, m.in. berimbau, cavaquinho i zabumbę, oczywiście nie ujdzie nam uwadze melodika albo flet, a wszystko podane z wyczuciem i zmiksowane z elektroniką w nowoczesny sposób.”

Może jeszcze drugi:

„Muzyka duetu wyrasta wprost z Brazylii, nie ucieka od latynoskich odniesień, nurtu samby albo afrykańskich brzmień i pulsuje tamtą energią na gruncie Bristolu. São Paulo S/A (Luís Sérgio Person, 1965)

São Paulo S/A is an excellent film, but it could have been even better. The film follows Carlos as he searches for love, becomes a part of the ‘real world’, and copes with everyday challenges, all presented in a somewhat non-linear fashion. We are treated to flashback glimpses of Carlos’ past relationships which provide great insight into the problems with his current relationship. The image and sound editing, including some underused voiceovers set a poetic and emotional tone for the film, and it follows through with that tone rather consistently.

The second half of the film, for whatever reason, didn’t have the same effect on me as the first. I honestly can’t even pinpoint why. The path the film heads down is a familiar one, but since the film begins at the end, and we already know what is going to happen, Person is obviously not trying to hide the film’s direction. The second half is more of a downer, but there are plenty of sad movies out there I love. So, I don’t really know why, but I felt as if the second half paled too much in comparison to the first to call this a masterpiece.  8.75/10

DEARS! The hentai-ridden manga of the century~. Can’t get anymore perverse than this Peach-pit masterpeice. Like holy shit. But you know what? It was still very charming. I don’t know what dragged me into it; with the pronz and all but. I loved the ending and the emotions and the fact that Ren is so damn clueless. Ah so cute. Also, it’s hilarious. It’s fun.

But please make sure you’re atleast over 14 or something IDK. It’s a great manga filled with fanservice and too many similarities to Chobits. But you know what? Oh well . Then I can say the same to every Magical Girl anime in the world.

I didn’t think the ending would be so great. But you just love the characters with all you’ve got and then the ending was just something that made you happy. And filled you up with happpiness.

A PUMPING AMV very nice to watch. I’ma be extremely picky on this one, i would give it a perfect score but the last image of 00:13 just pisses me off and I’m sure the editor could have used a variety of images 10000x better, in fact the 2nd image isn’t very good either but manageable. EITHER WAY VERY NICE AMV ENJOY!!!

A bit slow… but still very nice. A very dramatic AMV about the unstoppable Tryant Kuma. Not an action type avm but nice to watch. Enjoy
