It involves or affects the whole — meaning, every member of a class of people (or things). Therefore, whenever a blogger is writing about something in general, he or she tags it so, and it pops up here. That means a wildly varied range of blog posts can appear below, from a discussion about the deliciousness of bagels to the existence of god.
