<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Airline Manager is an addicting Facebook game (<a href="http://apps.facebook.com/airline_manager/index.php">http://apps.facebook.com/airline_manager/index.php</a>) developed outside the Social Network, that let you create and manage your own airline; buy aircraft; choose routes according to the aircraft type and endurance, and to the demand for a particular destination; pay for catering and maintenance; purchase fuel (whose prices depend on the global market and change); invest in advertising and buy and sell other companies stocks. The go<img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2166" style="margin:5px;" title="Logo" src="http://cencio4.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/logo-7_sito_large.jpg" alt="" width="219" height="241" />al of the game is to increase the value of the company by expanding your fleet and routes. Interestingly, the game is in real time, meaning that you can follow in &#8220;live mode&#8221; a flight in progress and if a flight lasts 14 hours (as my Rome &#8211; San Diego does), you have to wait all that time before the return flight can depart. Incidents, failures and personnel strike can occur, so you have to spend your money carefully because you could need some hundred thousands US Dollars to fix an aircraft or to give you pilots a pay raise.<br />
But, first of all, you have to think to a name for your airline. The one I chose is EcoLux, from Ecological and Luxurious: Ecological because, today, both airlines and aircraft manufacturer are compelled to address environmental issues with a  &#8220;green vision&#8221;; Luxurious because a modern airline with the ambition of growing fast has to provide first class services to its passengers to cope with important challengers like the rich Middle East airlines (Emirates, Ethiad, etc.). I created a logo (that you can see on the right image) for ECOLUX and a colour scheme according to it.<br />
My virtual airline is expanding very fast so, if you have your own company on Airline Manager, I suggest you to invest on ECOLUX soon!</p>

En su lugar, Boeing anunció hoy que el primer vuelo del que pretende ser la competencia conceptual del A-380 de Airbus será postpuesto aparentemente algunas semanas.</p>
<p>Problemas estructurales&#8230; ¿Qué? ¿Problemas estructurales a estas alturas del juego? Esto sugiere claro, que la fecha de entrega de marzo de 2010 está en serios problemas&#8230; Nuevamente.</p>
<p>Airbus por su parte, como el chinito &#8220;nomás milando&#8221;, afirma que aprendió de su experiencia de retrasos con el A-380 y esta serie de traspiés de Boeing para la línea de ensamblaje del A-350.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>These days are not the best for European plane manufacturer Airbus. Shortly after the accident of Air France flight 447, more news are coming from around the world about different Airbus plane types having technical diffculties.</p>
<p>On Wednesday June, 11 a Spanish carrier had to land at the Canary Islands shortly after take off due to engine problems. The aircraft was an Airbus A320.</p>
<p>Today (June 12) an Aeroflot flight had to abort its way from Yakutsk to Moscow and immediately land at Novosibirsk with 122 people on board, because one of the winshields of the cockpit got cracked. The plane was an A 320.</p>
<p>Australian JetStar&#8217;s A 330 had to make an emergency landing Tamuning, Guam. The plane took off from Osaka, Japan and was about to fly to Coolangatta, Australia. There were 200 people aboard, and the casue of the emergency landing was a fire in the cockpit.</p>

<p>Airbus is facing hard times financially, as both A380 and the new A350 cost more than predicted. The company turned to the governments of the owner countries as bank credits do not cover the additional costs.</p>

<p>Sicher, wir hatten Koalas, Kängurus, Pinguine vor der Linse, Wombats unterm Auto aber das Tier hatte noch gefehlt. Riesig, ja so groß wie ein Wal lag es im Hafen bei Ihumatao und näherte sich zutraulich der Menschenmeute die es ob seiner Größe und Form bestaunte. Einige trauten sich sogar mit seltsam anmutenden Leitern zu besteigen, was sich das träge Untier gefallen ließ.  Dabei hielt sie nicht einmal ab, dass die letzten blutigen Rest eines erlegtem  Kängurus noch an der Finne des Riesensäugers jedem Betrachter zur grausigen Warnung prangten.</p>
<p>Gerüchte besagen, dass diese neue Rasse auch in Singapur und im arabischen Raum öfter gesehen wurde und sie sich langsam aber stetig vermehren. Wer weiß, ob sie in Zukunft nicht auch in Deutschland irgendwann den kleineren zierlichen Luftwalen die Passagiere wegfressen.</p>

<p>As an enty for the <a href="http://www.techbriefs.com/" target="_blank">Nasa Tech Briefs</a> magazine for the &#8220;<a href="http://www.createthefuturecontest.com" target="_blank">create the future contest</a>&#8220;, a Mexican designer presented a very inventive solution for cramped aircraft seat spacing and thus also makes a contribution for prevention of deep vein thrombosis during long flights. The seating/bedding system is designed to individually change the position from sitting to reclining and visa versa. While making better use of the overhead space, the system at the same time ensures there is no extra weight compared to conventional seats and at the same time, taking the cabin design of an Airbus A 380 as a standard, would increase the conventional 555 seat configuration to 594.</p>
<p>Having said this I feel sure that regardless of the outcome of this years Nasa Tech Briefs design competition award (winners will be announced in January 2009), the interest from the side of the aircraft industry and airliners will be aroused to say the least. If the seats would be produced and the A 380 would be equipped with this the A 380 that have been turned over to airlines already will be known as the A 380 1.0 forever. Emirates at least should be informed already, as the <a href="http://www.dubaichronicle.com/?p=735#more-735">Dubai Chronicle</a> already reported on the matter. Patches will be cumbersome and expensive. And if this seating system is at all viable indeed, no doubt the interest of the travel health insurance industry is also aroused: seats that can be turned in a reclyning position in economy class are a dream of this industry that is always looking for transport capacities with legrests or entire seat rows for passengers with leg injuries. So hurray for the designer and the A 380 2.0, even if it is still in Beta.</p>

<p>Emirates Flight EK 201 from Dubai to JFK had to make an emergency landing in Munich, Germany on August 10th. On board was a 9 year old girl so critically ill that the aircraft had to make this unforseen stopover. The girl was rushed by helicopter to a medical facility, where, sadly enough, she passed away a couple of hours later. Although minor discrepancies exist as to the medical assistance provided to this little patient, this is not the reason for this posting.</p>
<p>The handling of the airbus A 380 requires specific equipment and docking capacities, with which the airport in Munich, having already been the host to publicity visits of the A 380 and future hub for Lufthansa A 380 aircraft,  is equipped. However most (international) airports are not equipped for this mega aircraft yet and this probably reduces the possibilities for emergency landings of this kind of aircraft. Something to think about? So far only Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Emirates fly the A 380. This particular aircraft was only handed over to Emirates 2 weeks ago.</p>
<p>Emergeny landings generally are a costly matter. In a generous mood, the airport decided that the expenses, amounting to an undisclosed  5 digit € figure would not be passed on to the family or the airline. Unusual indeed but the airport can probably use the publicity.</p>

<p><span> El avión de pasajeros más grande del mundo, el A380 realizó su primer vuelo el 27 de abril de 2005, de Toulouse, Francia y su primer vuelo comercial el 25 de octubre de 2007, de Singapur a Sidney con Singapore Airlines.</span><span> El avión era conocido como el <strong>Airbus A3XX</strong> durante gran parte de su fase de desarrollo, pero el apodo de <strong>Superjumbo</strong> se ha convertido en asociados a ella.</span></p>

<p>Zu viele Menschen, zu laut, zu staubig, miese Anfahrtswege, langes Warten, nervige Sicherheits-Checks, zu heiß, zu gefährlich, zu viele Freaks, zu viel Kriegsspielzeug. Das sind zehn Gründe für mich, nicht zur ILA (Internationale Luft- und Raumfahrtausstellung in Schönefeld) zu fahren.</p>
<p>Es gibt einen einzigen Grund, warum ich trotzdem dort war. Er ist 73 Meter lang, 24 Meter hoch, hat eine Spannweite von fast 79 Metern und 845 Quadratmeter Flügelfläche. Er wiegt 360 Tonnen und ist das derzeit modernste und größte Passagierflugzeug der Welt. Deshalb verwundert es so mehr, dass seine Erbauer zu blöd zum Messen sind und kilometerweise zu<a href="http://www.stern.de/wirtschaft/unternehmen/unternehmen/:A380-Probleme-Airbus-Verz%F6gerungen/619498.html?nv=rss"> kurze Kabel </a>eingebaut haben.</p>
<p>Nun, ich hab mir den Vogel trotzdem angesehen und die 40.000 anderen drängelnden, schwitzenden Menschen ertragen. Ich habe ihn also endlich aus der Nähe betrachten dürfen, den Airbus A 380. Nun fehlt bloß noch das <a href="http://www.a380-tickets.de">Ticket</a> für einen Flug mit dem Riesen. Vorausgesetzt, die Kabellänge stimmt.</p>

Life is beautiful&#8221; !! wish i was also one of them .</p>
<p>It was at farnborough not very far off from bristol where i live ..(1.5 hrs approx by train)&#8230;and i won&#8217;t say it was one hell of an experience after having witnessed wimbledon from guess pretty close quarters , though was unique in its own way to put it straight.Personally , i feel the show back home had more excitement and fun , not being a critic though , but each one has its own pros&#8217;s and con&#8217;s !!!</p>
<p>The tickets too weren&#8217;t expensive either(26 Gbp) as i thought initially would be, this being the world&#8217;s biggest airshow and so on. We kicked off with the stalls set up by a few of the manufacturers (ofcourse not to forget all those are the connoiseeurs in this field) like Bell, Boeing etc.. to name a few.(wish there was a big Lockheed Martin hanger too !).Bell had a few of the choppers at their store. However , the most beautiful among them was the Boeing stall which rightly had a few people lined up in the queue. Boeing i suppose made it more eventful , with a few simulators of (Boeing &#8211; 777 ) and an artistic design of the new &#8220;Boeing-747-8 Intercontinnental&#8221;(called the &#8220;shape of the future&#8221;) that is planned for release which was nothing less than magnificient and one of its kind where in her nose opens to place some cargo&#8217;s and stuff.</p>
<p>After a few short visits to the stalls we head for &#8220;the&#8221; aircraft display which was quite brilliant i should say . the list goes on and the &#8220;who&#8217;s who of the aircrafts &#8221; were on for a show like beautiful damsels on the Miss Universe paegant ramp!, with &#8220;AIRBUS A-380&#8243; stealing the show.</p>
<p>Here goes the list of air crafts on display which also included a couple of our very own HAL&#8217;s ALH Dhruv and IJTTrainers.</p>

<p>Amongst these the one&#8217;s which are noteworthy of getting a mention are the beautiful APPACHE choppers by the US and their C-17 which cannot be ignored . The C-17(the bully beef express) infact holds as number as 30 world records for an transport aircraft.The design of the aircraft allows it to operate through small, austere airfields. The C-17 can take off and land on runways as short as 3,500 feet (1,064 meters) and only 90 feet wide (27.4 meters). Even on such narrow runways, the C-17 can turn around using a three-point star turn and its backing capability. It would be worthwhile to call this a &#8220;beast&#8221; , which can carry virtually all of the army&#8217;s air transportable equipment. The US armyM-1 main battle tank can be carried along with 102 troops/partroops , 48 litter and 170,900 pounds i.e ,77,519 Kg of cargo!!. Thats some food for thought for us . That apart there were this unique aircraft which was used to trace a few hideouts etc in baghdad called the &#8221; Global Hawk High Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle system&#8221; ,AARGM(advanced anti radiation Guided missile), the falcon 20&#8217;s designed by Marcel Dassault,France.</p>
<p>The airdisplay started off with the the red arrows starting off , but not quite in comparison with our SURYAKIRANS i thought who were better and then the blue whales of the sky , the AIRBUS A-340/380 soaring high (not quite) and the way they were manouvered beautifully within the short distance was impeccable. With weather being cloudy the landing of these massive creatures with the lights on made the show even more worthy , much to the disappointment of my friend &#8220;mal&#8221; back home who was envious of me for having made it to farnborough also ! Then followed the world&#8217;s most advanced chopper the &#8220;APPACHE&#8221; and the harriers, the F-15&#8217;s /16&#8217;s .</p>
<p>All in all an experience though and the pics get a spot in my snapfish album.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><P><FONT color="#0080ff">Hàng hàng không Singapore Airline đã mua chiếc máy bay chở khách khổng lồ A380 đầu tiên hôm thứ 2 vừa qua. Hôm thứ ba chiếc máy bay đã được gửi đến Singapore và cần 2 tuần để nó thực hiện chuyến chở khách đầu tiên.</FONT></P><br />
<P><FONT color="#0080ff">A 380 là chiếc máy bay chở khách lớn nhất hiện nay với khả năng vận chuyển 853 hành khách trên quãn đường 15000 km. Đến ngày hôm nay nó đã nhận được hơn 180 đơn đặt hàng của 16 hãng vận tải hàng không lớn. Đặt nhiều hơn cả là hãng Emirates &#8211; 47 chiếc, Qantas Airway &#8211; 20 chiếc. Công ty sản xuất loại máy bay này dự định sẽ bán khoảng 800 chiếc trong vòng 20 năm. Giá của mỗi chiếc A 380 là 319,2 triệu đôla Mỹ.</FONT></P><br />
