Miami Oct. 29, 2012  — Pan Am International Flight Academy recently completed a successful exhibition as a key exhibitor and presenter at CAATS in Sanya, China, the Civil Aviation Administration of China’s first Ab-Initio Training Symposium.

The CAATS Summit experienced a crowd of over 300 key aviation professionals and airline executives, as well as senior CAAC officials who addressed China’s exploding demand for trained pilots and the need for fast development of reliable flight training programs and facilities. Although meeting the demands for well-trained pilots is a global issue, there is a particular urgency in meeting China’s internal needs.

Pan Am International Flight Academy participated in the Summit as one of a handful of training academies with CAAC Certification, providing training to the region through their training partner, Panda Fight Academy in Tokyo, Japan.

Mr. Gregory Darrow, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for Pan Am was in attendance, and summarized: “ There was an huge amount of energy and anticipation for this show, organized by the Chinese who are very committed to increase their capacity to field qualified pilots and meet their demands. Pan Am joined the ranks of an elite group of Export Achievement Certificate recipients. This prestigious award is presented to Denver enterprises that successfully enter the international marketplace.

• The Sultan of Dubai operates his own exclusive private airline and can train anywhere in the world, but chooses to train his crews with Pan Am Denver.  The Dubai Airwing has been training in Denver for over 15 years and stays at the most exclusive high-end Denver hotels.

• Pan Am International Flight Academy’s 2011 estimated sales budget is $35 million dollars, of which approximately 20 million in sales comes from outside the country. A sampling of offerings include type ratings, flight attendant training, dispatcher, and air traffic controller training programs.

Pan Am sales have so significantly impacted Denver's economy that Congresswoman Diana DeGette personally presented the certificate to Pan Am officials in collaboration with Paul Bergman, Director of U.S. Commercial Services Denver.

Sept 19, 2011, MIAMI –  Pan Am International Flight Academy is a scheduled stop for the much anticipated “Worldwide Family Reunion” of former Pan Am Employees being held October 20 – 23, 2011 in Miami, Florida.

Former employees, friends and family of Pan Am International Flight Academy’s founding airline, Pan American Airways, affectionately known as Pan Am, together with aviation aficionados from all over the globe and every division of the company, are expected to attend the reunion being held in the Dinner Key/Coconut Grove area of Miami. Attendees will be celebrating the Centennial of Aviation in Miami as they honor the enormous part the airline played in shaping aviation history while also marking 20 years since the close of one of the country’s most iconic pioneering companies.

Interest in “Pan Am” is at an all-time high. Along with the noteworthy rise and continued success of the former airline’s only remaining division, Pan Am International Flight Academy – providing training solutions worldwide, there is the much-anticipated ABC network television series “Pan Am,” and the musical “Catch Me If You Can” is now running on Broadway.
