I have posted a few songs from “Aan” (1952), but I was not aware about the existence of this song. This song is sung by Rafi and Shamshad Begam.

The song is picturised on Dilip Kumar who is incarcerated ( alongwith his sidekick Mukri) in a dungeon by Nadira. The female voice is picturised on Nadira’s sidekick who is asked by Nadira to bring Dilp Kumar before her. I am not aware who this female sidekick is. As always,I am counting upon my knowledgeable readers to inform me who she is.

The song is written by Shakeel Badayuni and Naushad is the music director.

I had a brief exchange via comments with Thomas Ruttig, an academic/analyst with the Afghanistan Analysts Network (AAN) regarding messaging and how likely/easy it might be to peel off “moderate” Taliban to bring them into the tent down the road.

Ruttig suggests the Taliban may be in denial over its “nationalist vs. internationalist” split in the ranks:

the taleban do not want to recognise that not everyone in their ranks is on the party line. ‘nationalist’ is put in quotation marks for a good reason – some taleban are at least nationalist enough to be unhappy about arabs and pakistani to tell them what to do …. might be both [not wanting to recognize splits in the movement and not making the movement appear split]: ‘parties’ who believe that they posses the truth like this tend to deny internal problems and rifts. remember the soviet communist party? there always was ‘party unity’ declared while clearly dissent and purges) existed.

While advocating trying to peel off more disgruntled/less fervent Taliban, Ruttig says there’s still the problem of such splinters being vulnerable to a Taliban leadership who doesn’t want them to go (or wants to provide examples to those considering it):

the ‘peeling off’ approach won’t work under the current circumstances. the pressure is too high. that gives the taleban hardliners the best arguments to keep ranks closed and to suppress any discussion.

Even if the Taliban leadership ever reconciles, Ruttig says that still may not ensure every group of bad guys is covered:

i see better chances to come to some agreement with the movement as a whole, i.e. mulla omar’s people (see my paper) then with some elements like the haqqani network who went over the top (and were driven over the top by the killing of dozens of their family members by drones). that’s no way to make them reconcile.

Working it Out: Stories from African-Australian Relationships is a new resource for people in mixed African-Australian relationships based on interviews with fifteen people about their personal experiences. The booklet includes stories, links and suggestions on a range of issues such as parenting, finances, problem solving and cultural difference.

The resource was funded by a grant from University of Western Sydney and produced by AAN Committee members Annie Stopford, Jill Sergeant and Cornel Robinson. A limited number of print copies are available or you can download it here. Working it Out was launched at the AAN fundraising dinner on Friday 27 November.

Well that was a pretty good start to what should be some continued downward movement. If these tops conform to the past moves, we should see around 9 down days ( not all down just all trending down) from here. However, if this was truly a top, I would expect a little different action. After hours Dell missed earnings, badly we could certainly feel some repercussions from that. Everything was weak today but especially tech, housing, energy and financials all mkt. leading sectors. Let’s look at some charts:

For some reason, all my drawings have disappeared and it won’t let me draw on here now. But the main thing I want you to note is that we formed a tweezer bottom here. Not a symmetrical tweezer which I think is a stronger formation, but it is here. You can see we gave up huge gains from early in the day, and if we continue to move up from here and right now it looks like we might, then we will have broken that megaphone pattern.

Huh? How did those little blue boxes get in there? They weren’t there when I captured this. Well you can see that I am pointing several things out here. Every one of these tops had a candle like we saw today near the very beginning of their down move. Those are shown on the top arrows. The bottom arrows show that the moves are ending with a huge down day. You can also see the bbs are widening, the same thing that preceded all this down turns. I would have liked to see more v, but it is better than the last two days, and it definitely gives it room to move up.

The SPX stalled out near the low form 4 days ago. I also think it will stall out around the 20 ma, but I think it will eventually move down to the bbb. It will have to pierce through several support lines to do so, and that will require some v with the moves.

The NAS found support right at the 2142 line. But it did gap beneath the short-term up trend line and stayed far beneath it. Note that the 20 ma is moving quickly beneath the 50 ma and the RSI is getting ready to cross down. I would classify this support as moderate support, but strong resistance.

We can still see a double h&S pattern here if we take out this 575 support. To me, this is still the most bearish of the indices. Watch the RSI and if this lower high holds, then we are going to trend down beneath the 20 line.

The UUP has really been puzzling the last few days… today is no different. I do see that we are forming a nice wedge, the 20 ma is moving up, but v is decreasing. Now I would give the edge to the upside in this wedge, but we will have to see some v with it, and I imagine v will become more and more scarce as we move into the holidays.

I show this chart once in a while, today it is a reader’s request. I love doing requests so please don’t hesitate to ask. Looking at new charts is always exciting ( geek, I know!). Now, you see the rising RSI, you see the obvious support, which has once again held, but what I really like is that the v moves down into the down moves and up into the up moves. It is a thing a beauty! (geek, I know!). Also note the 20 ma has crossed above the 50, but it also appears the 20 ma acted as resistance. I think we are seeing a potential inverse h&s here, which if it comes to fruition, could lead to a breakout. The neckline will be at 13.95.

The QID ran smack dab into resistance with decent v today. I would be much more bullish on this if it had managed to close above 21.21. However, this could be one of those that takes another run at it, and we need to continue to see more v.

I like this because it seems to just bounce right off of the bbb. Right now it stalled out on the 20 ma, but I think it continues down, hits the bbb and sits there for 2-3 days and rallies up again.

This came from Cash21, he points out that we have seemed to top here on GRMN. I would have liked it better if we had hit 33, but I have to agree with him. What is great is that you can play this and put a stop at 32.50, yesterday’s high, a good strong stop. The potential downside is huge, I am thinking $26. Great profit / loss ratio. Thanks CASH21, great chart.

MS is on a critical point, the up trend and 50 ma. Watch this closely, if you see a break of the 50, with v and you can find a good entry point, this would be another great short. I would like to see the bbb start turning down, like the tbb has already done. But the 50 ma makes a great stop on any short.

Finally, here is a long play from a couple weeks ago. I hope you got out several days ago if you played this long, I know at least one person did. MRO did find support on the 50 ma today, but with the nice v pop, I think this is just a breather and we are heading to the $31 area.

In closing: Almost all the charts look pretty bearish, naturally after a day like today. But I believe we have put in our interim top, and I don’t think we will know if this was the “top” for at least a week or two. I am still dismayed by the lack of v, but after many hours of trading therapy I am coping. Remember the market makers are going to do all they can to make as many people feel pain tomorrow as they can by watching the highest amount of options possible expire worthless. We could have a very blah day tomorrow, even slightly up, but that would be normal for this current trend. Trade well and prosper. AKOT

Re-design:

I will do some re-design on here and make the graphics better as well as the layout and theme. I will tone down the number of pages and add special buttons instead of the pages widget.

We post way more often and make sure to include plenty of tags and catagories.

Add another author or two we can trust, and will be actively posting.

Try to boost our hits by advertising on other sites and getting an XAT, as well as going on other XATs and advertising there (when advertising do not be corny or spamish, be cool, compelling, and be friendly- especially on XATs, don’t sound like you just want to advertise.)

Stage 4:

At this point, we should have over 1000 hits, and we will need to make sure people are actively engaging in discussion. Hopefully CPL will be back on the books and on top!

Sudah beberapa minggu hamba tak dapat buka laman kesayangan hamba, iaitu al-Ahkam.net (AAN).  Membuka AAN adalah antara rutin yang biasa hamba buat tatkala berintenet.  Padanya terdapat banyak maklumat menarik yang dibincangkan oleh komuniti maya sekitar tajuk isu semasa yang ada kaitannya dengan ummat ISLAM.  Yang paling menarik pada AAN ialah kompilasi soal-jawab feqh yang menyentuh pelbagai tajuk dalam kehidupan seseorang muslim.  Mudah2an ALLAH merahmati insan di sebalik tabir dan juga pengasasnya iaitu Ust Zain-ys.

Bukan sahaja AAN, malah Youtube Channel yang diusahakan oleh Ust Zain-ys juga mengalami masalah.  Apabila dibuka Youtube Channel pro-alahkam dan maulanaasri, tertera pada skrin Youtube ‘…the account has been suspended’.

Hamba kecewa atas apa yang berlaku.  Atas apa yang berlaku, hamba cuba bertanyakan tentang apa yang terjadi kepada komuniti di Facebook.  Mereka tak tahu.  Hamba YM kepada Ust Zain, tiada respon (entah aktif lagi ke tak YM Ust?).  Ingin rasanya hamba pergi melawat Ust Zain di Bukit Mertajam, Pulang Pinang sana.  Namun, tiada kemampuan.  Entah apalah yang terjadi kepada beliau sorang2 di sana.  Namun, hamba berdoa agar ALLAH memudahkan segala urusan Ust Zain sekeluarga, amin.

Sebelum hariraya harddisk server al-ahkam.net mengalami kerosakan. Ini menyebabkan web ini tidak dapat diakses. Mudah-mudahan kesusahan yang yang dialami oleh ustadz Zain, dibalasi ALLAH Azza wa Jall dengan ganjaran yang besar.  Walaupun segala video ilmiah telah dipadam di Youtube, walaupun video-video ilmiah tidak lagi hamba dan yang lain-lain nikmati, mudah2an apa yang telah diperbuat dinilai ALLAH sebagai hasanah yang besar.  Malah, mudah2an hasanahnya berkekalan walaupun video2 di youtube telah dipadam.

Diharap dengan posting ini, dapatlah kiranya sahabat2 di luar sana yang turut mempunyai perasaan yang sama dengan hamba, faham dan mengerti akan situasi yang berlaku.

Tulisan ini berisi tentang pengalaman memigrasi data pustaka nuklida untuk aplikasi k₀-Batan yang sebelumnya dalam MySQL menjadi SQLite. Pustaka yang diperoleh dari www.iupac.org tersebut sebenarnya telah mengalami konversi dari Microsoft Acces ke MySQL tahun 2008. Tetapi, setelah memperhatikan k₀-IAEA yang menjadi acuan dalam pengembangkan k₀-Batan, SQLite ternyata lebih tepat untuk digunakan. Hal ini disebabkan karena SQLite tidak memerlukan engine database untuk berinteraksi dengan data. Berikut adalah tahapan dalam konversi pustaka k0 dari MySQL ke SQLite yang dilakukan secara semi otomatis.

Mula-mula yang kami lakukan adalah memetakan struktur tabel-tabel dari MySQL ke SQLite. Gambar 1 adalah struktur tabel isotope_full dari pustaka k₀.

Setelah mengetahu struktur tabel, buat database dalam SQLite yang berisi tabel berstruktur seperti struktur pada Gambar 1. Dalam tahapan ini, digunakan script python. Uji database yang telah dibuat dengan melihatnya melalui SQLite database browser, seperti pada Gambar 2. Terlihat bahwa database tersimpan dalam file dengan nama k0Batan.lib serta terdapat tabel dengan nama IsotopeFull dengan struktur yang sama seperti Gambar 1.

Tahap terakhir adalah membuat program kecil dari python untuk membaca data pada MySQL dan menyimpannya ke SQLite. Gambar 3 adalah program sederhana tersebut.

This song is a very well known song even today. Though I have known this song for as long as I remember, I did not know which movie this song was from. The discovery that this song is from “Aan” was made by me just a few minutes ago.

Sahabat Kita kali ini merupakan seorang karyawan yang bekerja di salah satu perusahaan yang berada di kawasan Jatinangor. Beragam pengalaman kehidupan telah dirasakan oleh Ayah dari Haidar Syahid, namun pengalaman yang paling menarik baginya adalah ketika kehilangan uang Rp. 20.000,-. “Saat itu dalam sebuah acara di sebuah masjid lewatlah kotak infak di hadapan saya. Waktu itu saya hanya mempunyai uang Rp. 20.000,- . Karena cuma uang selembar itulah, dalam benak pikiran saya terjadi kegalauan antara infak atau tidak. Didorong karena rasa kekahwatiran takut ga akan punya uang lagi akhirnya saya tidak berinfak. “ kata pria yang lahir pada 28 Juli 1977 ini mengawali pengalamannya. Usai acara tersebut ia pun pulang dengan menumpang Kereta (KRD) jurusan Rancaekek, namun takdir berkata lain uang yang Rp. 20.000,- tadi hilang entah kemana. “ Ketika merogoh saku, eh ternyata uang yang dua puluh ribu itu hilang. Saya menyesal sekali karena tidak berinfak , bahkan uangnya pun hilang. Jadi sejak saat itu saya sadar kalau kita jangan menunda-nunda infak. Berinfak itu jangan banyak pertimbangan.” sambungnya. Sejak peristiwa tersebut ia tak pernah lupa untuk menyisihkan sebagian rezekinya untuk berinfak, bahkan saat ini suami dari Mimin Tarminah, seorang guru ngaji, ini mengemban amanah menjadi koordinator donatur DSA di PT Polyfin Canggih, tempat beliau bekerja. Ia sangat rajin mengumpulkan infak dari teman-teman satu kantornya “ Bagi saya mengajak orang untuk berinfak merupakan kebahagiaan tersendiri karena dengan infak itu bisa membantu masyarakat yang mengalami kesulitan” tandasnya

Deixando de lado a filosofia de auto-ajuda, o site Noiz promove nesse sábado dia 11 no CEU Butantã, um evento para abrir o caminho para a banda larga que Gilberto Gil cantou.

“Toda a equipe está ansiosa para o lançamento do site, que acontece ainda em julho. Portanto, o evento marca o inicio do contato da equipe do Noiz principalmente com a molecada que frequenta espaços públicos e muitas vezes não tem contato com seus ídolos. Por isso, o Noiz está levando Max BO e Emicida para a molecada fazer pergunta, saber mais como é o processo de rimas e de produção das musicas e de quebra ainda curtir um som”, explica muito bem Gisele Coutinho, gerente de conteúdo do site.

A história da Gi (ou Kriola, como a chamo com todo carinho) é bem de quem sabe todo o valor e energia que a rua tem e pode oferecer a todos. Com experiência em jornalismo diário ela trabalhou na AAN no auge do jornalismo campineiro. Foi peça fundamental no site NaOrelha, e tem toda sua batalha diária em um sindicato. Em resumo, ela é a pessoa certa para essa empreitada. Toda sorte do mundo.

Graduating with a B.A. in religion and journalism, most of my close friends were surprised I chose to enter graduate school rather than seminary.  Of course, a good chunk of my friendships were made in churches where I had some type of leadership role.  Even though many of them still see me having a future in divinity school somewhere, I keep receiving confirmation that I’ve made the right decision.

A recent AAN article reported Lucy Dalglish’s concers over media freedom.  The article said she mainly expressed concern over the financial status of newspapers affecting the openness of information in government court cases.  While the financial decline has no doubt taken jobs from competent reporters and writers, could it also be harming the information we have access too?  Courts and other high-profile institutions don’t regularly let bloggers cover their stories (unless it’s the Navy).

A few weeks ago, I ran into a religion professor I had for my final 4000-level class.  I told him about my plans for graduate school.  Rather than asking why I’d not chosen seminary or some other option, because we all know there’s nothing more secular than journalism (at least that’s what the general feel for me has been around some church crowds), he proceeded to tell me one of his main concerns for the future is the state of the American newspaper.  To him, the newspaper is the last hope for a truly free society.

Now, the term “free society” is thrown around so much I’m not sure I know what it means.  It always seems that we’re free, but only to a point.  We’re open, but only this much.  With the definition still not “set in stone” (or Webster’s), I think we’ve got a good chance of helping mix the mortar.
