Went out to shoot Smoov_w4gon’s Accord Wagon tonight. It is a interesting project that’s coming along rather well. Its nice to see people still doing different things.

You know I love wagons, this great looking Accord belongs to Nick who was cool enough to send me some pix and rep the Melissa Heart! Thanks Nick it really means a lot!

Scot capul pe geam, să-l admir. E în spatele blocului, aştepându-mă. E negru, bineînţeles. E Accord-ul meu. 2.2 CDTi-ul care toarce ca o pisică (de fapt, ca un motan. Diesel, ofcors). Cobor din bloc şi ascult cum se închide portiera. Mă ia un fior printre coaste. Ador pur şi simplu totul la el. Ador să văd ştergătoarele cum se baleiază pe parbriz, ştergând stropii de ploaie şi flegmele fostei prietene (sfat. nu vă mutaţi în acelaşi bloc cu fosta prietenă, mai ales dacă despărţirea nu a decurs conform planului “let’s be good friends forever”. Mai ales dacă aveţi maşină mai scumpă de 100 de euro. Şi dacă şi ţineţi la ea). Dar cel mai mult îmi place la ea cum mă îmbrăţişează în scaun când porneşte de la semafoare, treceri de pietoni sau de pe bătrânii care traversează neregulamentar prin faţa cimitirului (de obicei, în drum spre lucru, dau cam 15 ture de cimitir, să fiu sigur că nu uit pe nimeni). Şi încă o chestie care-mi place e că e singura Hondă din parcarea de la lucru. Senzaţia aia de “the only one” e aşa cumva, faină, de mă gâdilă la orgoliu. Dar urmează despărţirea, pentru că deja tre’ să urc la birou. Oricum cred că deja unii colegi au început să intre la bănuieli. Sincer, şi eu aş intra, dacă vreun coleg ar sta o oră jumate în maşină, cu motorul oprit, după ce o parcat. Şi mai şi coboară singur. Noh, în fine. Cobor să urc (*) (interesant concept), dar, blestemăţie, mă împiedic de ceva şi… mă trezesc plin de transpiraţie. La naiba, încă un vis cu Honda Accord în care nu am ajuns să termin.

Şi mă uit pe geam, acolo unde nu e niciun Accord ( :-< ). Dar e un Mitsubishi Lancer X 1.8. Hehe. Tot negru. Mişto. Nu-i el Accord, da-i “one hell of a car”. Şi-n plus, nu locuiesc în bloc cu fosta prietenă, să-mi arunce cu flegme şi roşii pe parbriz. Şi, da, maşina asta mă fascinează în viaţa reală cum mă fascinează Accord-ul în cea imaginară, deci mi se potriveşte cum nu se putea mai bine. Normal că după duş, mă pregătesc să plec la lucru. Ceea ce-mi place de nu pot povesti. De fapt, pot. Îmi place tare. Pentru că merg cu EA. Cu maşinuţaaaaa. În timp ce ies din duş, şi mă uit în jos să şterg delicat “giuvaerurile”… îmi amintesc, bineînţeles, de pompele de benzină şi automat de faptul că bibiului meu îi cam este sete şi că tre’ să trag o escală pe la o’em’ve. Şi ajung la lucru. Unde, v-aţi prins. Nu stau o oră jumate în maşină după ce-am parcat, cu motorul oprit. Stau cu motorul pornit (damn, mâine iar o să-i fie sete), că tare fain sună. În fine, deja se face târziu. Cobor ca să urc (hehe), şi mă împiedic (**) precum o vită, şi… da. Mă trezesc. Nu aşa plin de transpiraţie ca data trecută, dar destul de umectat.

La naiba. Soarele e deja sus. Ar trebui să mă pregătesc să plec la lucru. Mă uit în spatele blocului. Caut Accord-ul nou nouţ. Nu-i. Caut Lancer-ul nou nouţ. Pf. Nici ăla nu e. Caut măcar Audi A4-ul 1.8 T din 2002, cumpărat second de la nemţi cu 8000 de euro, plus taxele a la Ro, care mi se pare cel mai realizabil. Hmm… nope. Nu e nici ăla!

Aaaa… DAR E CEVA! Pardon… E CINEVA! E Mar’cica! Dacia lu tată-miu, din 96, care ultima oară m-o lăsat “un pic” în drum. Din fericire, nu chiar în drum, că eram practic în parcare. Din păcate, eram în parcarea din faţa blocului, dar nu al nostru, ci al proprietarilor apartamentului în care cu mândrie sălăşluiesc. Care, din păcate, se află CAAAAAAM în celălalt capăt de Timişoară. Bulzai! Dar e ok. E plăcut să umbli noaptea, la 9, pe jos, printr-o zonă în care ai antecedente violente, prin ceaţă şi puţine grade, îmbrăcat doar într-un hanorac şi-un tricoi nesemnificativ, după… ulei. De maşină. Cam juma de oră. Şi să ajungi înapoi la maşină şi să descoperi că de fapt avea ulei (în juma de oră o avut vreme să se aşeze toooooot uleiul la loc). NU?! Dar nu-i nimic. Io tot o iubesc pe Mar’cica_că_cu ea fac io experienţă ca schoffeur, nu?

Aşa că mă duc io să cânt (în baie, prin bucătărie, pe unde-apuc) la duş… mă îmbrac… verific portofelul să am actele la mine… iau cheile de la Mar’cică… lama (explic imediat)… încui uşa de la intrare… iau liftul (deja de-abia aştept să-mi tai venele disperat că nu mai porneşte odată – deci, lama)… ies din bloc… şi mă duc s-o iau pe Mar’cica să merg la lucru.

…

… şi-mi cumpăr un bilet şi iau tramvaiul.

* Să cobor din maşină pentru ca să urc în firmă, ofcors.

** Bă, câte şanse erau să mă împiedic în două vise consecutive, în exact acelaşi loc? Sau, o întrebare mai bună. Dacă tot m-am împiedicat în primul vis, de ce mama dracului am parcat tot acolo?!

Over the last ten years Nepal has experienced problems with infighting between the government and the Maoists due to conflicting ideas and political disagreement.

Though its a fact that cannot be hidden that people got killed during this conflict but there is no record of any tourists or travellers being injured, killed or involved in anyway. All people in Nepal have a strong belief that guests are equal to God, every Nepal abides by this and offers the warmest of welcomes to all visitors into Nepal.

The much awaited Comprehensive Peace Accord was signed between the government of Nepal and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) formally announcing an end to a decade long armed insurgency by the Maoists. Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) Prachanda signed the historic Accord promising to chart a new destiny for “peaceful and democratic” new Nepal, and pledging for peaceful coexistence of all Nepali irrespective of caste, creed, religion and gender.

By making the ceasefire permanent, the accord declares the armed insurgency that began since February, 1996 as officially over. Effective immediately, the CPA states that illegal carrying of weapons, their display and any kind of attack, threat, intimidation would, henceforth, be punishable by law.

Overall, travelling to Nepal contains no more risk than travelling in other places of the world, in fact as a traveller you are much safer in Nepal than in other countries in the West. All the major tourist areas of Nepal are policed and patrolled and we have are own branch of the tourist police to assist travellers and keep them safe should a situation arise.

There is an overwhelming peace and tranquillity that prevails throughout Nepal as the Peace accord is signed and Maiost are included in the Government.

Over more than a half decade the Nepalese tourism industry has suffered severely due to the conflicts. Since both the Government and Maoists have committed for free movement of tourists and all Nepali in any part of the country, it will definitely provide a boost to ailing tourism industry of Nepal. The signing of Peace Accord also put full stop to illegal donations collected by Maoists from trekkers in the different trekking routes. Now tourists can go anywhere in Nepal with any problems.

Although not a single tourist had been targeted or harmed by the rebels during a decade long insurgency, the conflict emanated wrong message to world about the safety and security situation of Nepal. With the ending of conflict, all tourism entrepreneurs have expressed their satisfaction and happiness in the hope that it will bring permanent peace in the country which is vital for the growth of tourism industry.

Signing of Peace Accord has given a positive message to the world that Nepalese people are capable of resolving their own problem; and it has set an example in conflict resolution for the whole world. What until recently was dream of all Nepali and peace lovers has now become a reality.

The people of Nepal are truly very happy for tourists to come and visit Nepal and see and experience its beauty, grandeur, culture, arcane temples and monasteries, mountains and jungles of Nepal.

This is definitely the time to go to Nepal and join a tour or go trekking on Mount Everest as the prices are low at the moment and the Nepali people are extremely happy to receive travellers to their country.

On Friday, November 20, 2009, the Environmental Protection Agency announced its preliminary figures for the most efficient vehicles in 2009.  It was no surprise to hear that Honda Motor Co. has the most fuel-efficient line of vehicles in the United States. When the 3rd gen Accord came out I was just a little kid, I liked cars but didn’t notice the Accord, I was too busy dreaming of Countaches and the like. Who would have thought 20 years later I would find Coutaches mundane but find that a nice old school Accord would catch my eye. Maybe because seeing a nice one these days is so rare, or maybe part of getting older is finding pleasure in the simpler things?

Wood’s explanation of Micheletti’s upcoming absence was phrased oddly if this was truly a spur of the moment decision by Micheletti.  Using the word ”implementation” suggests that this is part of the PLAN and that the “get out of Dodge” step has been in the playbook all along.

QUESTION: Yes, on Honduras, you want to bring us up to date on the latest developments and whether or not you think Mr. Zelaya might return to the – any kind of power before the election?

MR. WOOD: Well, as I think many of you are aware, there was a statement made last night by Mr. Micheletti about taking a leave of absence. And we welcome that he is going to take a leave of absence and expect its prompt implementation. This will allow some breathing space for the process in Honduras to go forward. And so the announcement will also allow for the people of Honduras to focus on the elections. And so that’s really where we are.

QUESTION: When you say you welcome, what do you mean by you welcome? Means that you are happy or – that he’s taking a leave of absence?

MR. WOOD: I mean we welcome.

Yes.

QUESTION: (Inaudible), right?

MR. WOOD: Anything else on Honduras?

QUESTION: Yeah.

MR. WOOD: Dave –

QUESTION: I mean, as far as you’re concerned, this is – is this a good solution now? I mean, no longer does the United States expect Zelaya to come back or –

MR. WOOD: Well, I think what would be a good solution for the situation, the crisis in Honduras, is for the implementation of the Tegucigalpa-San Jose Accords. That, I think, is what needs to happen now. And the sooner that we can get that implementation, the sooner we will get to what we hope will be a resolution to this crisis.

Jill, you had –

QUESTION: And who runs the country while Mr. Micheletti is on vacation?

MR. WOOD: That’s a good question. I don’t really know the answer to that. I’m sure there is one and I’ll try and get one.

QUESTION: Zelaya said that he wants to delay the elections. He says that in this situation, the elections cannot be take – cannot be done.

MR. WOOD: Well, there is an accord that President Zelaya and his team and Mr. Micheletti and his team agreed to. And we think if we are going to address the issues of restoring democracy, if we’re going to deal with the the question of reconciliation, that the best way to do this is to move forward with the implementation of the accord. It’s in the best interests of the Honduran people. The Honduran people want to end this crisis. And as we’ve said, one of the most important things that needs to happen first is the formation of this national unity government. And we want to see that happen as soon as possible.

a few suggestions from the comments on my last post made me wanna make another post. Someone suggested I get a mazda 6, great idea and a good car… but I would seriously modd that, also some interest was shown in the accord wagons and odyssey area as well.

I’ll start with the Mazda 6, these are cool cars with great suspension and decent motors altho a little thirsty in fuel department… but whatever. but with a little suspension work and some wheels…..

The accord wagons on the other hand are just as cool and wayyy cheaper.

Finally after a week of driving without a front bumper, the wait is over. About 2 weeks ago I had some damage done to it yeah poor Mugen bumper. Anyways I am not ballin enough to have a second car so had to go without the front. It’s finally back on and looks great!

Aleh Kot, a 32-year old Massachusetts man, went into a Honda dealership Thursday afternoon with the intent on test-driving a brand-new black 2010 Honda Accord.
The salesman who helped him probably didn’t know just how desperately this man wanted to get behind the wheel of a brand-new 2010 Accord. When the salesman thought that the test drive may have gone just a bit too long, and finally asked Kot to turn around, Kot refused to stop and continued to drive…. and drive, and drive- at speeds up to 120 miles per hour. The salesman eventually jumped out of the car when Kot slowed down at a toll booth near the Massachusetts state line- but Kot did not stop driving. Kot continued to drive until he was stopped in Wisconsin, and had racked up a number of charges, including kidnapping, unarmed robbery, speeding, and larceny of a motor vehicle. He is currently awaiting extradition from Wisconsin to Massachusetts.

Jakarta, 12 November 2009 – PT Honda Prospect Motor mencatat angka penjualan tertingginya hingga saat ini di tahun 2009 pada bulan Oktober lalu, dengan total penjualan mencapai 5.354 unit. Jumlah tersebut menambah total penjualan mobil Honda di tahun ini menjadi 32.935 unit dengan pangsa sebesar 8,5% di pasar otomotif nasional.

Kontribusi terbesar untuk penjualan Honda berasal dari produk terbarunya, yaitu Honda Freed dengan penjualan di bulan Oktober sebanyak 2.146 unit. Sejak diluncurkan Juni lalu, permintaan konsumen terhadap Honda Freed terus meningkat hingga saat ini. Secara total, penjualan Honda Freed sejak bulan Juni hingga Oktober telah tercatat sebanyak 7.342 unit dan telah meraih pangsa pasar di kelas MPV sebanyak 15%. Raihan pangsa pasar tersebut meningkat dibanding bulan sebelumnya yang tercatat sebesar 12%.

Selain Honda Freed, produk-produk Honda lainnya juga mencatat penjualan yang baik dan kembali menjadi market leader di kelasnya masing-masing. Honda Jazz mencatat penjualan sebesar 1.888 unit di bulan Oktober, yang merupakan rekor penjualan Honda Jazz tertinggi dari bulan Januari hingga Oktober tahun ini. Dengan penjualan yang telah mencapai 12.419 unit di tahun ini, Honda Jazz berhasil memimpin segmen hatchback dengan pangsa pasar sebesar 48%.

Honda CR- V terus mencatat penjualan yang baik di kelasnya, yaitu sebanyak 809 unit selama bulan Oktober. Dengan demikian, Honda CR-V terus menjadi yang teratas di kelas SUV dengan pangsa pasar mencapai 38%, dan angka penjualan sebanyak 8.842 unit sepanjang tahun 2009.

Dari segmen sedan, Honda berhasil meraih angka penjualan tertinggi dari semua merek, yaitu sebesar 4.330 unit dari Januari hingga Oktober 2009 dengan pangsa pasar sebesar 24%. Sementara pada bulan Oktober sendiri, Honda berhasil menjual sebanyak 511 unit produk sedan.

Di kelas medium sedan, Honda Accord terjual sebanyak 51 unit. Dengan demikian, sedan premium dari Honda ini telah terjual sebanyak 594 unit sepanjang tahun 2009 ini, dengan pangsa pasar 20% di kelas medium sedan.

Selain itu, New Honda Civic sepanjang tahun ini telah terjual sebanyak 1.475 unit dan berhasil meraih pangsa pasar yang tertinggi di kelas medium sedan yaitu sebesar 47%. Pada bulan Oktober sendiri penjualan New Honda Civic tercatat sebanyak 187 unit.

Sedan Honda lainnya, yaitu All New Honda City mencatat penjualan sebanyak 273 unit di bulan Oktober. Hingga saat ini, All New Honda City telah meraih penjualan sebanyak 2.259 unit di seluruh Indonesia dengan pangsa pasar 37% di kelas mini sedan* dan berhasil menjadi market leader di kelasnya.

Jonfis Fandy, Marketing & Aftersales Service Director PT Honda Prospect Motor mengatakan, “Penjualan Honda pada bulan ini mengalami peningkatan yang cukup besar, bahkan mencapai rekor bulanan selama tahun ini. Diluncurkannya Honda Freed, serta didukung penjualan yang baik dari Honda Jazz, Honda CR-V dan produk lainnya telah memberikan kontribusi penjualan yang signifikan terhadap penjualan Honda.”

“Selain itu, untuk menyambut akhir tahun serta penghargaan CSI (Customer Service Index) dan juga penghargaan SSI (Sales Satisfaction Index) yang diterima Honda, kami akan memberikan program spesial berupa bunga rendah 1% selama 1 bulan sebagai apresiasi kami kepada konsumen Honda yang telah datang ke dealer-dealer Honda dan memberikan kepercayaan mereka kepada produk-produk kami,” lanjut Jonfis.

After talking with BFF Duke the other night he seems a little burned out and wants to do something different, different for him anyway. He’s had hatches for a while now but is itching to do something bigger, a cruiser, and he’s starting to take a keen interest in the VIP thing. I put my vote in for an Accord wagon but he’s thinking more along the lines of a G35. Like I said, I vote Accord wagon.
