Shows em 2009:

1) Jason Mraz (26 de novembro, Rio de Janeiro): O sucesso mais esperado no show, certamente, é a canção I’m Yours. O show será no Vivo Rio e os preços dos ingressos variam entre R$ 180,00 e R$ 300,00.

2) AC/DC (27 de novembro, São Paulo): O grupo se apresenta no estádio do Morumbi sua turnê Black Ice World Tour. As informações adicionais podem ser adquiridas pelo fone (11) 4004.2060.

3) Beach Boys (02 de dezembro, São Paulo): O grupo se apresenta no Credicard Hall e os ingressos variam entre R$ 40,00 e R$ 340,00.

Shows em 2010:

1) Eagle Eye Cherry (21 de janeiro, São Paulo): O compositor se apresenta no Via Funchal e os preços dos ingressos variam entre R$ 100,00 e R$ 200,00

2) Cramberries (28 de janeiro a 03 de fevereiro, Rio, São Paulo, BH e Poa): A banda se apresenta nestas cidades nas datas citadas, respectivamente.

3) Coldplay (28 de fevereiro e 02 de março): Com sua turnê Viva La Vida, a banda se apresenta no dia 28 de fevereiro na Praça da Apoteose (RJ) e dia 02 de março no Estádio do Morumbi (SP). Mais informações pelo site www.ticketmaster.com.br.

4) Franz Ferdinand (de 18 a 23 de março, Poa, Rio, Brasília e SP): Os escoceses fazem sua turnê nestas cidades nas sucessivas datas, respectivamente.

} Hoje, dia 26 de Novembro, tem Deal With The Devil @ Clube Berlin!

Se você gosta de rock, mas rock mesmo, então você não pode perder a noite de hoje do Berlin com a banda Deal With The Devil.

Os violões de aço plugados, com a bateria, o baixo acústico e a gaita dão o timbre diferenciado para os clássicos revisitados pelo Deal With The Devil. Como já mencionei em outros posts, shows grandes como esse são perigosos e difíceis de se chegar de carro, muito stress combinado com os abusivos preços cobrados para estacionar nas redondezas do estádio, isso sem contar o perigo de ter o seu veiculo roubado, portanto nós do ViShows recomendamos o uso de transporte público para ir ao show.

E você que vai de carro lembre-se, se beber não dirija, afinal, precisamos dos nossos leitores intactos.

Em matéria de transporte serei bem claro, sexta feira vou sair do trabalho e vou direto para o Show do AC/DC, não estou com saco para pegar o transito que vai ter nesse show, quero estar com meus amigos e me divertir, portanto irei utilizando o seguinte método:

Usar o metrô e depois pegar um onibus é a melhor alternativa para se chegar ao Morumbi. Primeiro pegue o metro e desça na estação Clinicas. Você descerá na Avenida Dr. Arnaldo, em frente a um cemitério. Ande cerca de 200 metros até a Rua Teodoro Sampaio. Lá há um ponto de ônibus. Pegue o ônibus linha 775F-10 Jd. das Palmas. Este ônibus passa pelo estádio do Morumbi. Em caso de dúvidas, você pode atravessar a Av. Dr. Arnaldo e perguntar para algum dos floristas que trabalham em frente ao cemitério, eles saberão auxiliá-lo.

Existem outras opções para diferentes regiões de São Paulo, há um onibus para o Morumbi que passa na Av. Santo Amaro e Av. João Dias, assim como outros, quem precisar verifique com a SPTrans qual o melhor itinerario a ser feito.

Mais uma vez aqui no ViShows para falar com vocês sobre o Show do AC/DC que acontece no Morumbi no dia 27/11/09, estarei lá, não apenas para ver e falar sobre o show, mas também cumprindo e provando algumas das dicas que estou dando aqui para ter um show fantástico.

Não leve para o Show:

Aquilo de sempre, deixe correntes e outras besteiras em casa, objetos pontiagudos, vidros e outras coisas perigosas. Como sempre já estão avisados, substâncias quimicas, filmadoras, inflamaveis, bebidas alcolicas, bandeiras e outras coisas do tipo.

Pode Levar que o ViShows garante:

Sanduiches, Bolachas, copos descartáveis e Máquinas Fotográficas. Frutas. (Frutas cortadas, o idiota que levar uma melancia merece tê-la enfiada na cabeça.)

O que levar?

Isso faz parte do manual contra stress, nada de carteira pesada, um documento apenas com a grana dentro dele. Quem quiser pode levar uma mochila, mas uma para o grupo todo, com alimentos, capas de chuva e outras coisas simples. Compre suas passagens de volta do onibus e metro antecipadas também, pode ajudar muito. Leve dinheiro o suficiente para o show, e se necessário até para um taxi de emergência.

*Quem pagou meia, não se esqueça da carteirinha de estudante!

Que horas devo chegar?

Se você é do tipo que quer ficar na grade, tente chegar o mais cedo possível, no mínimo 2 horas antes da abertura dos portões, muita gente já esta lá enquanto você le esse texto. Para aqueles que por opção (ou obrigação) não estão com ingressos para a pista, segue a mesma dica, cerca de 2 horas antes da abertura dos portões até 1 hora e meia antes do show, para não ter problemas calcule sua chegada para no máximo as 21h00.

Alguma ultima dica?

Sem brigas e sem stress, tente não empurrar os outros e cuide de se preocupar apenas com sua diversão, tente não beber demais para poder aproveitar o show, e fique atento, se alguem cair no meio do pessoal, se alguem passar mal, não custa nada ajudar, nem que seja apenas dando passagem para sairem. Tente ir ao banheiro antes de entrar no estádio, se precisar por lá, se prepare para a fila.

E por último, curta o show, cante, pule e se divirta, vamos mostrar ao AC/DC o mesmo que mostramos a todas as bandas que pisam em nosso solo, que São Paulo é a Capital do Rock!

Ad X Factor stasera, mercoledì venticinque novembre, i Finley con «Gruppo Randa» ed Elio e le storie tese. Ah, dimenticavo, c’è anche Gigi D’Alessio, un cantante forse amato dalle vostre cugine o parenti (prima di tutto immaginatevi quanto l’ho dimenticato ed, in secondo luogo, spero di sbagliarmi, ma sono quasi sicuro che sarà così…). Qui D’Alessio canterà «Non riattaccare» da 6 come sei e poi ci saranno ovviamente le canzoni e Claudia Gerini. Ed a proposito della Gerini, chissà come sono le colonne sonore dei suoi film…

Quanto ai brani, saranno per Silver «Sunday Morning» dei Velvet Underground ed «Un piccolo aiuto» di Zucchero, pezzo che non conosco. Per Marco «Black in Black» degli Ac/Dc e «Senza fine» di Gino Paoli. Per Giuliano «Stand By Me» di B. B. King e «Quando» di Pino Daniele e per le Yavanna «Meravigliosa creatura» di Gianna Nannini ed «Orinoco Flow» di Enya. Una domanda, infine. Votereste queste canzoni più sotto per il mio blog? N.b. Porca miseria. Ottima l’interazione radio – televisione con Hit Parade di Radio2 Rai con Federica Gentile in diretta sulla trasmissione televisiva di Raidue. E c’erano nello studio radiofonico i Bastard sons of Dioniso.

07.10.09 Marco Carta ospite sabato dieci ottobre di Playlist di All Music intorno alle 21.30. Buona visione… Su un’altra televisione musicale c’è Yo! dall’una alle due di notte che sarebbe dedicato all’r&b, al rap, all’hip hop ed al groove, Party Zone dalle due alle quattro (musica da discoteca?) e Chill Out Zone fino alle sei del mattino.

Domenica significa, invece, la Euro Top 20, la classifica dei venti brani più venduti in Europa, da mezzogiorno alle 13.30  ed i 10 Of The Best di Tiziano Ferro (peccato che abbia fatto sponsorizzare il suo tour da un’industria elettrica…) intorno alle sei del pomeriggio; Hitlist Italia all’incirca un’ora dopo; World Stage con il gruppo di qualche giorno prima (vedere sotto) ed il Superock dall’una di notte.

J-Ax ed i Depeche Mode. Un tris su All Music che si conclude con Metallo dalle undici a mezzanotte (beh, un po’ troppo pesantuccio forse) e, prima, Mono sui Depeche Mode dalle dieci di sera… Vi è piaciuta, inoltre, la puntata di Playlist con J-Ax? 04.10.09 – Dolcenera, Ben Harper e… Quali i programmi “musicali” di venerdì nove ottobre? Fra tutti i programmi – “musicali” e non – vi consiglierei soprattutto Blu notte su Raitre alle 21.10 sulle navi scoperte sulle coste italiane con rifiuti tossici o radioattivi e su Rai4 il telefilm Battlestar Galactica che, intorno alle 21.45, si occupa anch’esso – a modo suo, narrativo, – di minaccia nucleare. Nel primo caso con il conduttore Carlo Lucarelli. Su All Music Playlist dalle nove di sera con Dolcenera, già vista su Sat2000, e poi Mono su Ben Harper dalle dieci di sera.

Baglioni e Venuti. Musica anche ad I migliori anni di Raiuno dalle 21.10, ma posso scrivervi ben poco sui cantanti. Peccato… Goran Kuzminac, I ricchi e poveri, Gerardina Trovato, i Tavares con «More Than a Woman» e poi… chissà. Ah, ci sono Claudio Baglioni ed  il cantante catanese Mario Venuti a Niente di personale di una televisione nazionale, in onda dalle 21.10. Una domanda, inoltre: chi sono i Rammstein, protagonisti intorno alle undici di sera del World Stage di un canale musicale?

16.11.08 Si concludono oggi gli Slany Jazz Days – musica jazz, blues, spiritual e gospel – in una cittadina (Slany appunto) della Repubblica Ceca, con il gruppo The Swings dalle 10.30 alle 12. Alle 17 concerto di chiusura per il Blues Alive di Sumperk, sempre in Repubblica ceca. L’esibizione comprende Limbo, Kulturní úderka, la Curtis Salgado Band e Wanda Johnson insieme alla Shrimp City Slim Blues Band. Suoneranno al Culture Centre Batory Chorzow per questo festival di folk, blues e probabilmente altra musica.

Risparmio energetico (forse)?

Não faz muito tempo uma amiga me perguntou meio do nada quais eu considerava as cinco maiores bandas de rock de todos os tempos. Missão ingrata essa.

Tentei me esquivar da pergunta, sabendo que injustiças seriam cometidas e que listas no estilo “Alta Fidelidade” podem ser facilmente contestadas. Afinal, o que vale é o gosto pessoal de cada um.

Ela insistia e eu me esquivava. “Rock Rock? Ou Hard Rock? Ou Heavy Metal?” Não tinha escapatória. Ela queria saber o que eu achava. Então soltei minha lista, pensada na hora, nas primeiras maiores bandas de todos os tempos que surgiram na minha cabeça.

Não me lembro agora de todas as respostas. Lembro-me apenas que o Led Zeppelin encabeçava a lista e que fiz injustiça a vários monstros sagrados do rock’n’roll. Acontece com as melhores listas.

Comentei com o Flavio e ele achou legal o lance de listas. Sugeriu então que eu mandasse minha lista de 10 melhores músicas do AC/DC na minha opinião, por ocasião do show, claro.

Então elaborei minha lista e mostrei a ele:

Some songs just send a shiver through me. Or used to. As a young girl, I felt particularly anxious about certain music. Upon reflection, these songs shared a particular theme: the one I heard today is by The Zombies, and asks, “What’s your name? Who’s your daddy?” We learn later, of course, that it is in fact the time of the season for loving.

Similarly chilling songs included pretty much anything by Rod Stewart, but especially “Tonight’s the Night,” with its very, very veiled metaphor, “spread your wings and let me come inside.” And even “I’m on Fire“: “Hey little girl, is your daddy home?”

Apparently I thought these middle-aged rockers all wanted to come to my house and violate me while my parents were out. Is all I can figure. I took the “daddy” lingo quite literally, too, which was not the intent. Right? Right?

There were other songs that intimidated me. Genres, really: Pretty much all heavy metal. And rap. I’m not sure if this had to do more with the performers or with the people at school who liked said music. But I have had many moments, in recent years, when I heard something by Metallica or AC/DC or Run-DMC and thought, “This is not scary. At all. What was my deal?”

I can’t think of any music that scares me now, I suppose because I’m a gwone-up. But when I hear the Zombies play those opening licks, it doesn’t take much to leap back to a time when they had the power to send a shiver down my spine.

E quer saber se o show vai ser foda? Se vai ser grande, do tamanho da sua expectativa?

“No total, serão necessárias 55 carretas para transportar toda a estrutura do espetáculo, com sistema de som e luz jamais vistos no país. O público será de 65 mil pessoas (é, não nos veremos lá). A estrutura é maior, por exemplo, que a de outros mega shows, como da cantora Madonna, realizado no ano passado no país. Para montar e desmontar o mega show serão utilizados 4 guindastes (50 toneladas, 90 toneladas e dois de 120 toneladas), 12 empilhadeiras (uma de 5 toneladas e outras 11 de 3,5 toneladas).” Óóóóó!

Na véspera da véspera do show do AC/DC no Brasil, senti uma necessidade inexplicável de registrar minha empolgação no meu próprio blog!

Vou aproveitar para publicar o prováveç setlist da banda que cacei por aí. Em alguns paíseis, os shows foram menores e cortaram algumas músicas (Dog Eat Dog, Shoot To Thrill e Anything Goes), mas basicamente o setlist de toda Black Ice Tour é o mesmo!

Are you ready to Rock, São Paulo?

Ah, e se rolar essa abertura no show, será sensacional! Rock ‘n Roll Train Animated Intro:

Já vamos começar com um pouco de polêmica, pois, na visão deste blogueiro, o AC/DC terá uma árdua missão na sexta-feira para superar as apresentações de outras duas bandas que passaram em novembro pelas terras paulistanas. Não há dúvida alguma que os australianos são capazes de transformar o Morumbi num grande  salão de festas para avôs, pais e filhos, como fizeram em 1996, quando passaram pelo Estádio do Pacaembu. Mas vale destacar o show que o Faith no More realizou no Maquinaria Festival no último dia  7 e a apresentação que o Twisted Sister fez no Via Funchal no dia 14. Ambas as apresentações  já estão no Top 5 dos melhores shows de 2009.

De um lado, o Faith no More mostrou que, apesar dos anos de separação  da banda, continua com aquela pegada marcada pela cozinha entre o baixo de Billy Gould e a bateria de Mike Bordin, devidamente puxada pelo vocal do brilhante Mike Patton, um dos maiores “frontman” do rock, que parece estar cantando ainda melhor do que na década de 90.

Do outro, o Twisted Sister, que, com o lendário vocalista Dee Snider, surpreendeu até o mais dedicado fã com um dos shows mais animados que São Paulo viu nos últimos tempos. Para o leitor do blog, selecionei dois vídeos do Youtube com duas músicas tocadas nos shows dessas duas ótimas bandas de estilos diferentes. Note no vídeo do Twisted Sister como, ao mesmo tempo, Dee Snider consegue comandar a platéia e como a banda se surpreende com a participação do público. No vídeo do Faith no More, repare no vocal de Patton para a música “Ashes do Ashes”, do disco “Album of the Year”, e na levada do sempre competente Mike Bordin na bateria.

A torcida agora é para os velhinhos australianos fecharem o ano paulistano com chave de ouro. Se repetirem o feito de 96, quando realizaram o maior show que este blogueiro já viu, o público roqueiro poderá ter a certeza que ainda existe diversão e qualidade dentro do seu estilo musical preferido, que está capengando ultimamente com uma crise criativa imensa, mas que ainda tem as bandas antigas para mantê-lo acima dos demais.

A assessoria de imprensa a cargo do show do AC/DC confirmou hoje nosso credenciamento para a apresentação de sexta-feira em São Paulo. Eu e Flavio cobriremos o show pela Agência Estado, onde trabalhamos.

Depois de fazermos nossa matéria, publicaremos aqui no Roque Reverso nossas impressões sobre este que vem sendo anunciado como o show mais visto no mundo em 2009.

Podemos dizer, inclusive, que o retorno do AC/DC ao Brasil foi o estopim maior deste blog, uma ideia que cultivávamos havia já alguns anos e só agora resolvemos colocar em prática.

O credenciamento será feito entre as 17h e as 20h30 da sexta-feira. E, pelo que conheço de São Paulo, será preciso rezar aos deuses da chuva, do trânsito e do rock’n'roll para que consigamos chegar ao Morumbi, um dos lugares mais inacessíveis desta cidade quando se trata de um evento cultural ou esportivo de grande porte.

Está chegando a hora da turnê Black Ice do AC/DC! O showzão único é no estádio do Morumbi na sexta-feira… e pensar que em Buenos Aires serão 3 shows – lá como cá, sold out, tudo vendido. Uma dica para quem sair do show ainda com energias para encarar uma sonora balada lá pela rua Augusta: os DJs Leandro Pankk, Angelo Malka, Mauro (Hot Club) e Thiago Sabota vão tocar rock, na festa Riff, do Inferno Club. Quem mostrar canhoto do ingresso do AC/DC entra na faixa, VIP. Semana de rock´n´roll em alta voltagem!

BigHead: Após a compra do ingresso, que contei no Saga AC/DC parte: I (não leu?? Então leia.. CLIQUE AQUI), restava agora a parte mais fácil mas não menos trabalhosa: Passagens e Hotel. Comprar passagens dessa vez até não foi lá tão dificil, na verdade se a pessoa tiver dinheiro nada é difícil.. mas no meu caso tive que esperar a boa vontade do JudeuPriest, já que se eu comprar primeiro ele chora, e ainda correr atrás de promoções dia e noite nos sites das empresas aéreas. Conseguimos um preço excelente pela GOL: R$ 365,24 (ida e volta).

Correndo por fora vem o hotel, que no caso de São Paulo realmente não é difícil, o normalmente mais em conta é o Formule 1.. que tem em vários bairros, Morumbi, Paraíso, Paulista, Jardins e São João. Como o show é no estádio do Morumbi, então lógico que fomos tentar reservar no hotel do mesmo bairro… só que 1/5 mês antes já estava lotado, conseguimos o do Paraíso que fica a 10min de taxi do estádio, a diária do quarto é R$109,00… o quarto acomoda até 3 pessoas, no nosso caso só será eu (BigHead) e JudeuPriest, como vamos na quinta e voltamos no domingo.. para cada ficou R$ 163,50, preço mais que acessível. Tudo pronto?? Claro.. agora é só comemorar, vamos a contabilidade final:

Ingressos: R$300,00

Passagens Aéreas: R$365,24

Hotel (3 diárias): R$163,50

TOTAL: R$828,74

Tá barato?? Claro que não… mas ta longe de tá caro. Esse preço varia… pode-se arranjar passagem mais barata, hotel mais barato, chegar só na hora do show… nesse caso aí é de quinta a noite até domingo pela manhã, passeio completo com direito a Skid Row no sábado. Os por fora não da pra calcular: almoços, lembranças, camisa da turnê, compras na Galeria do Rock, visita a qualquer outro canto… acredito que R$1.350,00 dá e sobra, aí você fala: “O que?? Aaahh tá caro demais”, taria se fosse tudo de uma vez, mas o show do AC/DC já se especulava a muito tempo… da tempo pra juntar um pouco por mês, tudo fica mais fácil planejado, vamos usar o Metallica como exemplo:

Hotel barato

Metallica vai fazer shows no Brasil em Janeiro em São Paulo e Porto Alegre, você é de outro estado e quer assistir o show, mas é em Janeiro e já tá em “cima da hora”… não vai da pra ir!?!?! É realmente não vai da pra ir não, mas eu já ouço falar que o Metallica vai vim pro Brasil desde de Março desse ano, tem amigo meu que já começou a juntar dinheiro desde desse tempo, pra eles o Metallica vai ser realidade… pra quem deixou pra agora e não tá com um bom dinheiro em caixa… Metallica vai ser um sonho. “Ah mas não dá pra juntar, tem muita coisa pra pagar!!”.. junto o quanto puder, se esforce ao máximo, “Mas eu não trabalho…” é, aí fica difícil.. sem trabalhar num dá não.

Eu por exemplo já tenho dinheiro guardado pra quando o RUSH vier, se vier… não importa onde, eu vou!!!

Bom, espero ter dado uma noção pra quem não tinha nenhuma.. e ter ajudado em algo quem já tinha, mas no final disso tudo eu posso dizer uma coisa a vocês: Vale MUITO a pena!!!

It’s that time of year again when Australia’s Music industry celebrate this years best. So the question remains, whose going to be this years big winners.. and losers?

Jessica Mauboy has had a stellar year with her debut album Been Waiting and tops the list with 7 nominations, including breakthrough artist single with Running Back ft Flo Rida, Break through artist album, best female artist, highest selling album as well as highest earning single with Running Back and Burn.

LadyHawke

Many have already predicted that Jessica Mauboy will scoop tonight’s awards but she will have stiff competition when she comes up against New Zealand export LadyHawke. Nominated for five awards her catchy single My Delirium has been nominated for both single of the year and break through single of the year. Ladyhawke’s retro pop album of the same name has also been nominated for best pop release and break through Artist Album.

Female artist have dominated this years Australian Music scene with the likes of Sarah Blasko and Kate Miller-Heidki rounding out this years nominations list.

Melbourne group the Temper Trap burst on to the scene earlier this year with their song Sweet Disposition (500 Days of Summer Trailer) and followed up with equally brilliant single  The Science of Fear ( east West 101 promo) of their Conditions Album. Nominated for best Rock album the Temper Trap will be up against music rock legends AC/DC, Jet and Eskimo Joe.

The unique sound and collaboration of Nick Littlemore from Pnau and Luke Steel of the Sleep Jacksons brought us music gems like Walking on a Dream and We are the People. However only a couple of months ago Nick Littlemore walked away from the group leaving Luke Steel perform in a one man band. Empire of the Sun have been nominated for best group and despite recent dramas the nomination in this category will stand.

With a whopping 7 nominations its hard to go past Jess Mauboy for female artist of the year. She wont stop there also short prized favorite to pick up  break out single for Running Back and best pop release for Been Waiting.

My predictions for the big awards including single of the year is Empire of the Sun, Walking on a Dream and album of the year Empire of the Sun, Walking on a Dream.

Esta é a capinha internacional do primeiro disco do AC/DC, que há alguns anos pintou por aqui numa simpática edição digipack, que ainda pode ser encontrada em lojas. Na real, o “High Voltage” que conhecemos é uma mistura das edições australianas do “High Voltage”  e do “T.N.T.” – algumas músicas do “High Voltage” australiano não usadas na versão mundial entraram anos mais tarde no EP “Jailbreak”, em vinil – cuja faixa-título, raridade da edição australiana de “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” estourou no Brasil na época do primeiro Rock in Rio, em 1986. “Jailbreak” na voz inesquecível de Bon Scott e com o riff mortal de Angus Young, esse Chuck Berry “on the rocks”, movido a scotch e máscaras de ar.

De qualquer maneira, o repertório dessa fase inicial do AC/DC pode ser curtido nos DVDs da caixa Plug Me In. “The Jack” e “T.N.T” aparecem em setlists de shows recentes da banda.

Many Thai J-Rock fans blamed Thai artists that they copied Japanese songs. In fact, they should believe in ability of Thai people, or say just, coincident or Japanese artists copy Thai things. Although one case is true, that does not mean other million cases have to be just like the first one.

One of my friend that I met when I just had been a J-Rock fan, always told me that a Thai band called, Giwa copies his beloved Luna Sea. I was so young, and I did believe him. I believe many things flood around world wide web. Thai J-Rock fans keep post this kind of thing up. They matched short parts of some Japanese songs and Thai songs, and they said that Thai artist copies Japanese artists. Most of the parts they matched are less than 10 seconds, and it is very easy that musicians can think about the same thing. It is coincident rather that coping.

Thai people are not stupid, because they can own many copyrights they make by themselves. Thai people can work so well if a reward/award is waiting for them, such as world robot competition, or sport tournament. Naturally, Thai people do not like to step up without motivation. Thai musicians have a lot of motivation, especially pop-rock artists after 2000. Pop-Rock in Thailand have been popular again after 20-30 years. Between 2 eras, Thai people consumed much of sweet-pop songs. Many bands was founded in late 10 years, and many old bands did re-union. The boys want to be cool, especially for the sight of girls. They created a unique style of Thai Pop-Rock. Many songs may sound similar, because those kids grew up with pop songs. Some people are different, because they listen to other things, such as Thai country songs and other foreigners’ things.

I am the one who really like Thai country songs. If we do not count the style of voice and Thai instrument, many fast songs can be popular in Alternative-Rock/Pop world. Both sound very similar. Many Thai people also listen to Rock n’ Roll artist from the United States and Europe. They get the influence directly from the original rock bands, and they do not need to past J-Rock artist. Some Thai people also listen to J-Rock and do cover, but there is less percent.

Clash is another band that Thai J-Rock fans blames that they mimic “Forever Love” of X Japan in their song called, “Nangfa Naijai” (Angle in Mind). I do know both songs so well, and I cannot find that Clash really copies that songs. They are same type of music, but not the same song. Although Clash did cover of L’Arc~en~Ciel, it does not mean that they do not have brain to compose their own music. I am a Punk fan, and many Punk songs are similar. Let’s listen to sample of DecayDance things. They are similar and they are good!

Another important conflict is the song call, “Ter Mai Kir Tai” (You Have Never Died) of a Thai band called, Two (they have 2 members.). My parent keeps that albums, too. The famous guy named, Tong. He helped around many projects. Thai people know that he is really nice. Right now he is older, but he just looks the same. I do not know if this nice guy hears what some people are railing him. I pass around the websites, many Thai X Japan fans railed “Two”. Unbelievable, I saw a guy wrote, “Two-Kuy”. “Kuy” (ควย) is the rudest word in Thai Language. He blamed Thai artists who did not know what X Japan was about. The company always manages things for pop artists, and the only thing that the pop artists need to have is the great performance.

I did look through the track list of that album of “Two”, and style of X Japan songs. (It is 2 years, I was their fan, my early high school.) The melody is weird for Japanese songs, but the song composer is weird in “Two” albums. I could not say, but the news already said that. They said, Thai company has to pay for Yoshiki. I do not want to believe. It is just the late visits of Yoshiki in Thailand. So,… My early high school time, a senior guy who was a friend of “Yai” (Yai was known as a big fan of X Japan in our school.) told me about this conflict. “Two did release “Ter Mai Kir Tai” before X Japan release Say Anything”. If I can go back to that moment, I will never show the goat hand to him. I did,.., I did that hand. He ran behind me and tried to kill me. Where was my soul of Thai person? I had had it when I was a boy scout. I did respect King Rama VI. I love his firmly goal to make Thai people to love each other as one big family.

The news was unbelievable for many people. That song sound quite like Thai songs, and the lyrics can fit in so well. No matter what the reality is, but if there is no that song, many Thai people will never be fans of X Japan.

There is another conflict of Neo Universe of L’Arc en Ciel, but that is a little thing. I think it is coincident, because it is just a small part of the song. Most of Thai L’Arc en Ciel fans are still young and rich, and they do not really care to talk about the past, because they look up the new stuff, and they talked a lot. I have many friends who like this band, that is why I can say. Like, once I met Kaun with her L’Arc book in a school bus, and we just began to talk although we had never known each other. We talked a lot. It is familiar in American people, but unusual for Thai people. (I am smiling.)

The main thing I would like to say is, Thai people always look down themselves. Many foreign songs were composed after Thai songs. Whenever they sounds the same, Thai people will say that Thai copied those foreigners.

There are other cases, such as Peace Maker’s songs and Josh Groban’s, and also the hair style and dress style of Thai teenager. Although the idea cannot be Copyrights, people keeps railing that style of dressing is wrong things. This may be only one attitude in a corner of Thailand, because most people do not care (me, too). They dress up and they want to be cool.

Let’s see the side of Thailand. What the songs that Thai artists composed before the foreigner and they sound the same! I am an audience and also an artist, and I will never say that they mimic each other. Many people can think about the same thing. The one part of melody or similar style cannot prove that that artist is the copier.

First time A7X came into the music industrial, they were considered as a metal band, but now, they are considered as a punk band. Every Japanese fan of Zi:Kill know that Zi:Kill is punk. And very important for us to know that both Zi:Kill and Avenged Sevenfold have a super cool guitar solo. Zi:Kill may do not that great in Lonely, but all stuff in their Rocket album are so amazing! Ui Kam may be older than We Are The World. I feel I heard of it since I was born. It is truly classic one, every Thai people know. It is beautiful and lonely. Jaran Manoped is also a great teacher of many Thai people. We all love him. He passed away in 2001. All his songs are forever songs.

Most of my matching went to the bands that I can remember their things so well. It is not a lot of bands that I can remember every part of their songs.

Paradox is so great at their show. Almost all songs of Paradox sound more modern than Hide’s. Paradox tend to be Alternative Rock, which is really popular in Western world such the United States and the United Kingdom. Hide is more into underground alternative rock, which can be found in both LA and NY. Although Hide did a lot of underground style, those songs are not popular. Hide’s songs which are popular are something modern; such as In Motion, Tell Me, Lemoned I Scream, Ever Free, Post and Honey Blade.

TarTar, the vocalist and music composer and lyricist of Paradox. He is very talented!

Rong Rean Kong Nu is so classic, too. This song is very old, but still catching people’s hearts. If you know Thai language, you will cry since the first time you listen to it. It is strange that The Academy is… has the same stuff. The world is so coincident. I played Rong Rean Kong Nu on Harmonica, too. This song is about children who have a hard time to get to school. They lived on the mountain and their school is really faraway. They have to walk step by step. They love to go to school. This song reflect the city society that many children do not like the go to school, although they are so rich and very easy to go to school.

I think Palapon heard of some other Thai older song. I had heard this vocal melody before when I was about 5 years old. (about 15 years ago)

Oh hey! you know that Tusk Zi:Kill is a fan of AC DC (he might be a fan of Obama, too), but I am not sure about Ken. Zi:Kill did play Suffocate City of Sex Pistol. I do not know about their copyrights, because they do not blame any people who re-play their songs, too. Zi:Kill is so fun. Tusk draw “Z” during this show. (I am smiling) If you let me compare about “For those about to Rock” and “Rocket”, you can be sure that I do love Rocket. The guitarist of Zi:Kill always have a wonderful line. His solo is always optimistic and never ever boring.

Your favorite artist does not have to be the first one who create the things. We should be very happy that someone thinks the same as our favorite artists. And now, we start to listen to the new things!! Our world is not just a box that other people cannot touch. We will never look down other people just because we want to praise our heroes.

El nombre de “SG” proviene de “Solid Guitar” (Guitarra Sólida en español) y fue un modelo creado por la marca Gibson en los años 60. En un principio se creó como una variación de la mítica Les Paul pero, poco después de su creación, el propio Les Paul perdió el interés por este tipo de guitarras y pidió que se retirara su nombre de ellas. Fue entonces cuando pasó a llamarse SG. Por lo tanto, fue concebida como un tipo distinto de Les Paul y como tal la mayoría de las SG tienen una configuración muy similar a las Les Paul: las dos tienen doble pastilla humbucker, las dos están hechas de caoba ela mayoría de los casos, suelen tener las mismas electrónicas y ecualizador, etc. Hoy en día existen muchos tipos de SG (Deluxe, Goth…) y hasta se han sacado modelos de bajo con dicha forma de cuerpo (personalmente, estos bajos me parecen horribles).

Pero con un cambio tan radical en la forma del cuerpo no pueden ser todo similitudes. Quizás la mayor diferencia (y la más visible) entre las dos es el doble corte, arriba y abajo, del mastil. Estos cortes junto con sus delgados cuernos estuvieron pensados para hacer los trastes superiores más accesibles, lo cual se consiguió. Además el cuerpo y el mástil son mucho más delgados lo que supone una significativa reducción en el peso del instrumento y su manejabilidad. Como en esto de los instrumentos no hay cambio sin consecuencia, todo lo que se le hizo a la guitarra repercutió en un sonido bastante menos contundente que su pariente Les Paul. Además, y he aquí uno de los principales fallos de la SG, las guitarras tienen muy poco peso en el cuerpo y demasiado en el mástil lo que lleva a que la guitarra a girarse y ser algo incomoda de tocar en muchos casos.

Pese a todo, la SG se convirtió en un icono del rock y con el tiempo ha mantenido una potente supremacía en el mundo de las guitarras eléctricas. Gran parte de este éxito viene dado por que Angus Young, mítico guitarrista de AC/DC, eligió la SG como su modelo de guitarra favorito. Como podemos ver en el vídeo, las guitarras SG se suelen tocar bastante altas (me refiero a la altura del instrumento) para solventar ese problema de peso que tienen.
