So ya, they should have been in bed an hour ago but that’s how it goes sometimes when you have dinner at a friends.  Little pajama’s on & ready to slip them into their beds when I do get home, they are so cute in the back seat.  The 2-year-old notices the two tall glass towers of a convention center as we drive down the freeway & comments on how tall they are.  I say, as most mothers would, “Yes they are very tall, good eye.”  Then his older sister (4) pipes in, “That is so tall & you can not climb on that because if you did you would slip & fall get dead & get blood all over the road”.  Oh….now what do I say…however right she may be, it’s not a visual I want them having in their little heads before they fall asleep.  No pun intended.  Onto the next conversation where the 2 old, obviously feeling like his thunder was stolen, says, “Books are real”.  I say “Well not all books, some books are just stories with fake characters just like movies & cartoons.”  Let the arguing begin, he says they are, she says they are not, he get’s louder, she get’s louder, until the screaming match is back & forth & so ferocious I can’t compete.  Then she screams, “SILENCE!”  We did.  All of us.  Now what I need to know is where did she pick up the Achmed reference?

Wie man vielleicht schon öfters gemerkt hat: Ich mag Comedy, besonders Jeff Dunham.

Und da es ihn vor ein paar Tagen auf Comedy Central gab ist mir wieder eingefallen, dass ich euch ja mal ein paar Videos zeigen wollte, die man sich echt anschauen muss!

Fangen wir doch mal mit Achmed an, den könnten vielleicht ein paar kennen er ist von Dunhams Puppen die Bekannteste.

Achmed ist ein toter Terrorist. Er behauptet von sich selbst ein Selbstmordattentäter zu sein, hat aber noch nicht so ganz verstanden, dass er schon fertig ist.”SILENCE, I kill you”

Walter ist ein Pessimist. Er lästert gern über seine Frau und hat Vorurteile gegenüber Washington D. C.

Melvin ist ein Superheld der noch ganz am Anfang seiner Karriere steht. Um ihn zu rufen erstrahlt sein Symbol mit Scheinwerfern am Himmel: eine große Nase. “Da da da daaaaaaaaaaaaa”

Bubba J lebt in einer Wohnwagensiedlung. Er liebt es NASCAR zu gucken und dabei Bier zu trinken.

Sweet Daddy D ist Dunhams neuer Manager.

Und jetzt noch mein Liebling: Peanut

Peanut ist sehr aufgedreht. Er nimmt gerne Mal Jeff, die anderen Puppen und auch den Gitarristen auf den Arm.

Mit ihm tritt auch meisten José auf.

José ist ein mexikanischer Jalapeno auf einem Stock. Er und Peanut ärgern sich meißtens gegenseitig.

My kids have loved this place since we moved back to California in 2006. It’s only a block away from grandma’s house and we have to take a walk past it at least once a day so the kids can see “Achmed” the skeleton (because they think he looks like Achmed the Dead Terrorist from Jeff Dunham) and all of the other ghoulish characters. The kids are very much looking forward to this year since they were not able to celebrate Halloween last year (family wedding).

This year’s house is set to be the best yet with a garage full of surprises. The Spaich Scary House will be open Friday, October 30 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 31 from 7-10 p.m.
