Coins For Change Coming!

Hello Penguins!

Every year we hear from you guys about how much you love participating in Coins For Change. The 3rd annual Coins For Change program will go from December 11th – 20th and we’re gearing up to celebrate how contributing (in big or small ways) can help to change the world!

Coins For Change is all about playing games to earn coins… and then donating coins at stations around the island. Every donation of coins in Club Penguin means you’ll be helping decide how a 1 million dollar donation will be divided. This year the categories are: helping kids who are poor, helping kids who are sick, and helping the environment. And this year, there’ll be some new ways to donate and celebrate – including a benefit concert at the Lighthouse!!

The United State Senate unanimously confirmed Pamela Hyde as Administrator for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

- Problema pe care o aveam s-a rezolvat asa incat saptamana viitoare
toata lumea vine la scoala.

Copilul ii spune bunicului:

Acum ati inteles ce inseamna “bucla”?

Asa, ca o mica completare de-a mea, adaug faptul ca fenomenul de “bucla” este chiar o chestie serioasa si deseori cand la lucru nu va puteti conecta la net, este din cauza unei bucle, ele fiind o problema generala si zilnica a administratorilor de retele, tocmai fiindca aceste bucle pot fi create chiar si involuntar de catre persoane care de fapt habar nu au de internet, tot ce au facut ei a fost sa lege un mic switch cumparat cu 40 ron, la cablul de net al colegului, ca sa intre si ei pe internet. Probabil intr-o zi imi voi face timp si voi scrie un articol despre cum functioneaza internetul pe intelesul laicilor, insa astazi multumiti-va cu explicatia buclei.

Bilen stannar någonstans på vägen ifall inte någon bryr sig om att tanka. Datorer är inte ett skvatt annorlunda. Man måste också sköta om sin dator för att den inte plötsligt ska börja krångla. Datorer med Ubuntu brukar vara ovanligt lättskötta, men inte helt underhållsfria.

I datorernas värld brukar det finnas en speciell roll för den eller de som har ansvar och rättigheter att sköta om datorn. Man skiljer nämligen på folk och folk. Med möjligheterna att sköta om datorn följer nämligen också en del makt. Den som sköter om datorn kan också ta bort eller läsa vilka dokument som helst, så fel person på det jobbet kan ställa till en del elände.

Den som är väldigt stark måste också vara väldigt snäll

I Windows är många ständigt inloggade som administratör och det är nog en av de viktigaste orsakerna till att virus och annan ohyra härjar där – får man in något elände kan det lätt sätta sig djupt inne i systemet.

Skulle du vara tvungen att fixa det själv, ska du veta att det inte är svårare än prylarna i den här skolan, bara några till saker av samma slag.

För att kunna utföra administrativa uppgifter, som att lägga till eller ta bort användare måste du först skriva ditt lösenord.

Nå, givetvis kan det bli hur krångligt som helst och stora, komplexa system på storföretag eller andra stora organisationer kan givetvis kräva hög kompetens att ratta på bästa sätt. Men en vanlig hemmaburk kan vem som helst lära sig sköta, i alla fall med en aning hjälp.

Nå, vad är det då som behöver göras? Några exempel:

• Installera datorn på bästa sätt
• Ansluta nätverk, skrivare och annat
• Installera ytterligare program efter behov
• Lägga till och ta bort användare
• Ständigt hålla systemet uppdaterat, vilket är viktigt för säkerheten
• Säkerhetskopiera data, hårddiskar går sönder förr eller senare

GREAT SNOW MAZE UPDATE!

Here is all the rooms put together! Please don’t steal the image, I will let you have it IF you give me credit OR I make you your own with watermarks of your name on it! JUST DON’T §TEAL!

Hey guys! Tybone10 here.. Sorry for being a little late! But today there is a new maze! I have a picture of the map and I put marks on there to tell you where to go! Start from the blue and keep going! Then the blue turn’s into red (IDK why I did that but I think it’s because I was bored) Just follow it all and then you should be in the Yeti Cave and get your prize! Here is the map: The O with a X on it means that’s where you have finished! And I will make a map showing all rooms later so it will be easier!

There also was a new newspaper!Look! The golden puffle play is coming back! Weird? I think they should always have new plays! Don’t you?

Its been a while since I had a play with this script but what I have discovered is the software that I used to find out who has admin rights seems to also detect power users as Administrators. Which I guess is actually a good thing, however I did not suspect to get quite as many hits as I did for power users.

I’ll link all my old posts on the subject below so you can compare notes but the script that I have created now needs to include:

net localgroup “power users” %username% /delete > “%userprofile%\pwrusr.txt”

and

Y:\BLAT\BLAT %userprofile%\pwrusr.TXT -to email@address.com -server <smtp server IP> -f mail@address.com

Of course if you don’t want to be notified when these scripts run then you wont need the blat portion of the script and if you really don’t care about knowing if the initial check script has run then I guess you could just push out a script in the order of:

This would then run regardless and attempt to remove the locally logged in user from power users and administrators groups. This would need to be assigned to just standard users though as you do not want to assign the script to administrators in your directory (be it AD, ED or maybe OpenLDAP).

Again this script is just the way I have chosen to do it, I am no expert in script writing (I really do need to figure out Vbscript), so I’m sure there are better ways of doing this.
