You may like this article if like me, you’re a traveller, and if like me, you have an iPhone. If you’re not and you don’t you probably won’t.

Hopefully the new STBB banner at the top of the site has caught your eye and if not, why not? Nimrod’s significantly better other half Liz, very kindly helped me create it. When I say helped I mean she pretty much done it by instructing my every click in the overwhelmingly powerful Adobe Photoshop. Check out her site as she is an excellent illustrator too.

Chip and Camembert tortillas with salad and sweet-chilli sauce was for tea, lovely. Erm, then for a change we watched ‘Celebrity Come Dine With Me’, that pap is seriously addictive and funny.

The photo is off some street art I liked in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. There was quite a lot of it knocking about.

This was one of the many request that I have gotten, to edit and publish their wedding photos and stories. I was at first taken aback as I had never actually thought of processing  jpeg photos taken by others. Then I thought what the heck, might as well try it then.

 So this is the first time where an orginally photo taken in a normal point and click cameras to be post processes and of the course , the love story began…

The bride is Gomathi hails from Kuala Kubu Bharu met her Prince Charming, Sasidaran on October 2005 in Rawang. This is what we called ” love at first sight” – the groom actually fell for her when she was getting on the Public Transportation Bus. So those of you not married yet looking for the ONE, please use the Public Transportation.

From there on, deeply smitten, the groom went to find out  who was this pretty maiden.

Lady Luck was by his side , the bride’s brother-in-law was a close firend of his. As rest we can imagine how it went… The lovely couple got registered on December 2005, that was 2 months after the love at first sight incident.

Their wedding was held one year latter, as the groom had to travel a lot. Why? He is Malaysia’s Profesional Golfer (Touring Pro). They tied the knot in Bukit Beruntung Golf Resort. The bride claims that the venue was beautiful , holding 1,200 guests and ample of parking. The wedding theme was gold (the wedding car, the deco and etc…) you get the idea!

The happy couple went on to live happily ever after…and yes they have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Tamilchelvi on 2008. May they be happy forever.

Secara garis besar Design Collection, desain grafis dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai berikut:

1.Printing (Percetakan) yang memuat desainbuku, majalah, poster, booklet, leaflet, flyer, pamflet, periklanan, dan publikasi lain yang sejenis.

2.Web Desain: desain (design collection) untuk halaman web.

3.Film termasuk CD, DVD, CD multimedia untuk promosi.

4.Identifikasi (Logo), EGD (Environmental Graphic Design) : merupakan desain profesional (design collection) yang mencakup desain grafis, desain arsitek, desain industri, dan arsitek taman.

5.Desain Produk, Pemaketan dan sejenisnya.

Dari klasifikasi di atas, maka sarana untuk mengolah pun berbeda-beda, tergantung pada kebutuhan dan tujuan pembuatan karya. Untuk itu diperlukan program pengolah grafis sebagai berikut:

1. Aplikasi Pengolah Tata Letak (Layout)
Program (design collection) ini sering digunakan untuk keperluan pembuatan brosur, pamflet, booklet, poster, dan sejenisnya. Program ini mampu mengatur penempatan teks dan gambar yang diambil dari program lain (seperti Adobe Photoshop).

2. Aplikasi Pengolah Vektor/Garis
Program (design collection) yang termasuk dalam kelompok ini dapat digunakan untuk membuat gambar dalam bentuk vektor/garis sehingga sering disebut sebagai Illustrator Program. Seluruh objek yang dihasilkan berupa kombinasi beberapa garis, baik berupa garis lurus maupun lengkung.

3. Aplikasi Pengolah Pixel/Gambar
Program (design collection) yang termasuk dalam kelompok ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengolah gambar/manipulasi foto (photo retouching). Semu objek yang diolah dalam progam-program tersebut dianggap sebagai kombinasi beberapa titik/pixel yang memiliki kerapatan dan warna tertentu, misalnya, foto. Gambar dalam foto terbentuk dari beberapa kumpulan pixel yang memiliki kerapatan dan warna tertentu. Meskipun begitu, program yang termasuk dalam kelompok ini dapat juga mengolah teks dan garis, akan tetapi dianggapa sebagai kumpulan pixel. Objek yang diimpor dari program pengolah vektor/garis, setelah diolah dengan program pengolah pixel/titik secara otomatis akan dikonversikan menjadi bentuk pixel/titik.

4. Aplikasi Pengolah Film/Video
Program (design collection) yang termasuk dalam kelompok ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengolah film dalam berbagai macam format. Pemberian judul teks (seperti karaoke, teks terjemahan, dll) juga dapat diolah menggunakan program ini. Umumnya, pemberian efek khusus (special effect) seperti suara ledakan, desingan peluru, ombak, dan lain-lain juga dapat dibuat menggunakan aplikasi ini.

5. Aplikasi Pengolah Multimedia
Program (design collection) yang termasuk dalam kelompok ini biasanya digunakan untuk membuat sebuah karya dalam bentuk Multimedia berisi promosi, profil perusahaan, maupun yang sejenisnya dan dikemas dalam bentuk CD maupun DVD. Multimedia tersebut dapat berisi film/movie, animasi, teks, gambar, dan suara yang dirancan sedemikian rupa sehingga pesan yang disampaikan lebih interktif dan menarik.

Almighty Adobe Photoshop is the most used image editing software for sure.  I use it with all my sessions along with Lightroom and Bridge (They are all Adobe Family).  Today I tried doing some graphic design work.  I found out this type (floor planning) of work was a lot more mathematical than graphic.  Man, I have to brush up on my math.

Тази седмица акцентът във Photoshop Top 40 е върху инструмента за създаване на градиенти. Във видеото можете да се запознаете с някои не толкова очевидни, но несъмнено удобни начини за употребата му.

“Photoshop Top 40 е обратно броене на функциите на Photoshop, които по моята преценка са най-добри, най-важни и без които не можем да живеем. Ето и днешния инструмент – gradient tool.

Всъчност, всяка програма предлага инструмент за създаване на градиенти, нали? Но този на Photoshop е специален. С него можете не само да нарисувате плавна преливка от черно към бяло или между които и да са два или повече цвята. Можете и да направите плавен преход от едно изображение към друго. Инструментът за създаване на преливки може да изсветлява изображенията, да ги помътнява, да ги размазва, както и да им въздейства по много други начини. Казано накратко, той е една от най-лесните за употреба и мощни инструменти на Photoshop  за създаване на маски.

Clone Stamp Tool vs. Healing Brush

Clone Stamp tool lets you clone exact pixels from one part of your image to cover another part of an image.

Healing Brush (not spot healing brush which does not need a a target set) clones pixels but then helps your new cloned area blend those pixels with the pixels you are cloning on top of with its surroundings.

The Clone Stamp Tool: can copy a portion of an image and reapply it repeatedly to cover an unwanted portion of the image.

The Healing Brush Tool: By sampling the surrounding area you can blend the imperfections into the rest of the image – blends pixels.

Tips for Cloning and Healing:

• Make sure you are selected on a copy of the background layer/image layer (not an adjustment layer or dodge/burn layer) OR be sure you are selected on the layer that you want the tool to alter (can be another image layer and not just the background layer).
• Change the size of the “Clone Stamp Tool” brush (from options bar, just like a paint brush) to be just the size of the are you are cloning and hardness should be on 0% for soft edge
• Reset “Clone Stamp Tool” target point often
• You can change the opacity of the cloning from the options bar for areas that don’t need 100% cloning
• Hold down the Option Key (MAC) or Alt key (PC) to set the clone target area

At this point, we are now on 2nd grading period. Our topic is all about photo editing. We use adobe photoshop , a photo editing software program. We are taught with the different kinds of tools and some strategies how to edit and beautify a photo. You can make a magic on a picture. You can create fantastic background and objects. You can also replace and remove the background of your picture, and makes your skin flawless. That are just some of the tricks that can be possibly do. We can play and make miracles with everything we want in a picture. We can even create posters using adobe photoshop. In general we can create fancy things in a photo through our imagination using photoshop.

However, before editing a photo/picture, we must consider first the permission  granted by us when you use photos of others in editing. We must then respect their photos and be sure that it will not make a violent reaction with others.

In every activity, our teacher instructed us that all our outputs will be post on our respective blog.
