Switzerland is one of the first places I played outside California. That was with the Bay Area Wind Symphony, which was comprised of about one hundred and twenty teenagers, including nineteen trumpets (!), plus their braces and hair products, way back in 1984, before the fall of the Berlin Wall, before the Internet. Our unwieldy, hormone-saturated ensemble played seven classical concerts or so in Germany and Switzerland. It was my first taste of touring, and I had no idea I’d be coming back more than twenty years later, and that so much change would have occurred. I had hoped we’d have flying cars by now, but still…

Lausanne, Switzerland is scrunched between Lake Geneva and the unreal bulk of the Alps, in the beating heart of Western Europe. These vast glaciers spawn the two greatest rivers of the European continent: The Rhine, flowing north through Germany, and the Danube flowing east through Austria and Hungary and finally into the Black Sea. These rivers were once the boundaries of the Roman Empire, the boundaries between civilization and barbarity.

In the fourth century, Germany and Silesia (though they weren’t called by those names back then) were the barbarians, until one winter the impossible happened: the Rhine froze solid, and the barbarians walked right in the front door, goodbye Rome, hello Dark Ages.  Everyone was barbarians for a long time.

Colonialism and war brought huge changes to European demographics in their wake, and Europe has had to learn to cope with both the troubles and the benefits that come with diversity. Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, who shared the bill with Groundation and the Congos at this year’s Metropop Festival is an example of someone from far Jamaica who’s made his home in this mountain paradise in smack in the middle of Europe.  You’d have to ask his neighbors, but I’ll bet he brings a bit of trouble with his gifts…

In the late sixties and seventies America produced a number of unusual performers like Mr. Perry: outlandish costumes; quirky songs, sometimes with a childlike quality; eccentricities galore. Parliment/Funkadelic/P-Funk frontman George Clinton comes to mind. His claims to have come to this planet in a funky mothership is probably one of the least unusual things about him. At a typical performance, jazz pianist and composer Sun Ra, who claimed to hail from the planet Saturn, draped his considerable bulk in a muumuu and led his eighteen-piece ‘Arkestra’ through three hours worth of music from Disney movies. To cook up a rich culture we need not only people from the different races and religions, we need people from different planets as well. Back in America’s troubled 70’s, a jazz pianist from Saturn may have been just what the world needed. He sure gave the jazz critics something to talk about. And why not different species’ as well? ‘Scratch’ Perry, doesn’t claim to be from the planet Saturn, but he said at the concert that he was a fish before he became a man, so again, let diversity be the rule…

Straight after the show, we drove all night to the One Love Festival in Wrocklaw, Poland in the old kingdom of Silesia, once the very heart of the barbarian threat which gave the Romans nightmares. It’s the doorstep of The East, once a land of warriors and a land of war. It’s also fiercely independent, stubborn even. It was fatally wedged between aggressive powers during the twentieth century and nearly eradicated, but despite being carved up and stomped on, the Polish people rose up and made Poland one of the first nations of the former Eastern Bloc to stand up against Soviet imperialism and for social justice in their own country.

I like to blab about how this place or that has ‘history’. I suppose the place we played in Wrocklaw had almost too much of it. When it was built in 1913, Centennial Hall was a word-famous miracle of design and construction: the largest steel and reinforced concrete dome in the world. It’s awe-inspiring even today, perhaps more impressive than beautiful, with interior buttresses flying fifty meters overhead. A place built for drama and spectacle, in the 1930’s the Hall hosted not only Marlene Dietrich, but also a certain ruthless and powerful nutcase from the neighborhood. You see, Silesia was then under the influence of neighboring Nazi Germany.

Learning that fact gave me a genuine chill.  Though the time had come to play music and call on those generous spirits, I could hear the spectre of Adolph Hitler’s raging voice echoing through the curving, labyrinthine corridors. There were ghosts in those hallways threatening to drag me down. There I was, just before showtime, wandering through the cold, empty rooms we’d been given for a backstage, imagining Der Fuhrer sitting there, going over his notes for his latest speech, intent on inciting hatred and murder. Perhaps these rooms had been occupied by some troop of naïve young fascists in their matching uniforms, brainwashed and betrayed by the emotional momentum of patriotic hatred, getting ready to stand on stage behind their leader, hold the big red, white and black flags and look as Aryan as they could for the cameras.

Those things were long ago, but they may still haunt us, until new days dawn and they are forgotten. I’m a rational positivist, but I felt some spiritual cleansing were needed, and in fact there was an exorcism on the way, and it came from a very unexpected source: a suitcase called Big Blue.

Big Blue is the giant diamond-encrusted suitcase Kim Pommel has wheeled along (or had someone wheel along for her) on tour almost since I first met her years ago. In the minutes before our show in Wrocklaw I was listening to my footsteps echoing down the concrete hallways, thinking about how Hitler wasn’t really dead. But then I saw that glorious suitcase, literally overflowing with colorful clothes, curlers and make up, scarves, beads and electronics. In a few words it was a big, beautiful bloom of life and color: everything that makes a mess of Hitler’s dreams of sterility and order.

 I could see Mr. Hitler sitting there, trying to enjoy his lemon tea before his speech, and here comes Ms. Pommel and Big Blue: ‘Oh, pardon. Do you mind if I put this here? You wouldn’t believe how heavy it is. Whew! It’s hot in here, mind if I open a window? Now, where’s my scarf? What’s your name? I’m Kim. I’m from Jamaica.’ Gott im Himmel!

The Congos.

And fleeing that dressing room poor Adolph might have stumbled upon The Congos, meditating or drinking tea themselves perhaps, a proud band of foreigners invited by the Polish people, the descendants of Prussians and Bohemians, to spread their musical messages of peace and spiritual wisdom. Hitler would have hated them and everything they stand for, I’m happy to say. Poor fellow. But it gets worse, because the thing that would have really pissed off the indisputed all-powerful ruler of Wolkencuckcucksheim was the band Delle, because Delle is a German band, an interracial band, and one dedicated to a musical style not only foreign, but African in origin, music that doesn’t exalt war or nationhood, but that weaves a spell of pleasure and love extending between nations who once warred and working to put the past in the past where it belongs.  That’s a mighty tough act to follower, Mr. Hitler, it looks like the barbarians are here to stay.

To Save Society We Must Save the Free Market

Interventionism in the market economy – in all of its various forms – will have disastrous results if it is not stopped.

We all want things that are not necessarily essential, but we always choose those actions which we think will best improve the situation from our viewpoint.  This means that the ideas that men hold determine their choice of actions.  This means that the most important thing in the world is ideas.

The decision not to halt the credit expansion eventually must lead to what Mises has called the “crack-up boom,” characterized by a general flight into real values and the collapse of the monetary system.  In the later stages of the expansion the additions to the money supply must be increasingly accelerated as market participants have come to expect ever-increasing prices.  At some point, the system of monetary exchange must break down.  Consequently, to continue the easy-money policy in order to avoid the otherwise inevitable depression must bring about an even harsher fate:  the collapse of the monetary system and the market economy, with its great advantages of specialization and division of labor.

On Safe Savings

Q.  In your opinion what is today the safest way to save in the long run?

A.  That is a question people ask me very regularly.  As mentioned in answer to an earlier question, everyone is interested in trying to improve his situation.  For most of us, this means trying to remove our uneasiness about inflation.  This is a part of everyone’s problems.  I face it personally just as each one of you does.

Perhaps one of the most important conclusions to be drawn from these lectures is that you cannot save yourself if the society goes down.  the problem is primarily one of saving the free market society – the capitalistic system.  If the system fails, we shall all flounder.

Let me give you a quick and simple illustration.  for centuries Christians were taught by their churches that lending money at interest was an immoral, unchristian, action.  So the money-lending business was left to the Jews.  A number of them became the chef money experts of the world.  Many of them realized what was happen in Germany in 1920, 1921, and 1922.  They went into Germany and bought everything they could.  Paying 10, 15 or 20 percent down, and assuming mortgages or other debts for the balance.  In 1923, when the mark went to zero, their debts were wiped out.  These financially intelligent Jews then became the sole owners of most of the business enterprises and investments in Germany.  They found a solution – a personal solution – for the inflation.

The Jews had not caused the inflation.  It was not a Jewish plot.  The inflation was produced by the German politicians in power after the war.  They were trying to get out of what they considered the onerous terms of the Versailles Treaty.  However, some intelligent Jews who understood what was happening sought to improve their situation financially.  They were merely acting as all human beings do.  They were using their knowledge and understanding to improve their situation from their viewpoint.  In our first lecture, it was pointed out that this is the a priori reason for every human action.

Most Germans had thought they were improving their situation by placing their savings in banks, bonds, insurance annuities, mortgages, and other assets with fixed values in marks.  When the mark collapsed, these innocent but financially ignorant German people lost all of their savings.  The value of their life insurance policies was wiped out.  Their government bonds were worthless.  All their savings in German marks had evaporated.  The savings of generations of thrift were wiped out.  Then, all around them, they saw Jews profiting, getting rich, seemingly at their expense.  Envy and resentment soon gave way to a strong tide of anti-Semitism.  This in turn led to to the election of Adolf Hitler and all the ugly results that flowed out of his dictatorship.  A few fortunate Jews escapted from Germany, with or without their wealth, but many did not.

So if you find a way to profit from this inflation, or even to save what wealth you have, you can be sure you will be considered a public enemy by all the suffering people around you.  If you have wealth wile those around you are starving, your life will not be worth much.  It will not be worth any more than the lives of the Jews in Germany during the final days of Hitler.

There are, of course, some things that are a better form of savings than others.  I would have to say paper money is not one of them.  Some people say buy stocks.  Others say buy real estate.  However, let us remember that you cannot just buy stocks.  You have to buy particular stocks.  Some may go up.  Some may go down.  The same is true of real estate.  If I were to get facetious, I would advise you to buy 100 shares of the “Cost of Living Index.”  We can be sure that will go up!

The problem is one of saving the system.  We are all in it together.  It is as though we were all out in a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean.  If the boat goes down, being the richest man in the lifeboat will not save your life.  It will not do you any good to own great wealth if the society is not saved.  If one of you, or a few of you , could own or get title to all of Buenos Aires, it would be worthless to you without the cooperation of your fellowmen.  The lights would go out.  The gasoline pumps would not work.  Your physical wealth would be completely without value without the social cooperation of your fellowmen.  It is the free market society that must be saved.

Ah, it’s good to be back in my studio after spending three days racing through seven states to deliver new work to galleries in Virginia and North Carolina.  While it was good to spend a bit of time at the galleries, discussing the state of the art business at the moment, it’s always better to be here, focusing more on creation than on promotion and sales.

I was able to listen to a lot of music while driving as well as catch some interesting stories on public radio that gave me something to think about.  Yesterday, as I drove in the early morning rain of Virginia, I heard a story on NPR concerning the way Joseph Stalin is being viewed in present day Russia.  In a poll last year, Stalin was chosen by Russians, in a sort of American Idol style vote, as the third greatest Russian of all time.  Despite the many millions, yes, millions of Russian citizens who were put to death by Stalin, despite the political purges and gulags and Soviet policies that caused a type of artificial famine that killed far more citizens than any natural famine more than once, the current populace said that this Man of Steel was their guy.

Interesting.

In the story, a present day student compared Stalin favorably to the Adolph Hitler of the early 1930’s, in that both restored pride and self-confidence to their citizens in trying times.  He also cited Stalin’s part in defeating Hiltler’s Germany in WW II as another reason for his positive view of Stalin.

Other present day Russians have said that what Russia needs now is another Stalin.  Rootin’ Tootin’ Vlad Putin has started reintroducing Stalin to the Russian public, reinserting verses praising Stalin to the national anthem that were long ago taken out.

It gave me a bit of a chill.

This revisionist history takes place everywhere when the times become a bit more difficult.  The older population who lived through the Stalin era see the chaos of the current Russia and begin to romanticize for what they now remember as the stability of Stalin’s time.  I have to admit, there is a certain level of stability in under a Stalin-like dictatorship.  One doesn’t have a lot of choices or freedoms to clutter the mind.   Most decisions are out of your hands.  For many, this freedom from choice, when viewed through the distance of time, seems almost nostalgic.  Ah, the way we were.

The real question is, when there is this nostalgia for someone like Stalin, when the mindset of a large swath of the population begins to overlook the atrocities of a man like Stalin and the horror of those times, where is that country headed?

I don’t mean to sound like some McCarthy-era siren, wailing that the Russian are coming, the Russians are coming!  No duck-and-cover here.  I just am mystified by how the nationalism of a people is always morphing and how those in power can manipulate the past to fit the present to achieve their desire future.  I hope I don’t live long enough to see the German  people name Hitler as the greatest German ever…

Yes siree, the house or should I say pub  where that devil spawn was born is on the market despite worries it will become a fascist shrine. Momma Hitler gave birth on the first floor of the Gasthof Zum Pommer pub in 1889 and despite the room no longer being there the local authorities in Braunau-am-Inn, Austria are besides themselves hoping the property won’t end up in the hands of extreme right wingers and become a shrine to Hitler’s memory. If they only had enough money in their own kitty they would have purchased the pub themselves but instead are hoping to block the sale in whatever manner they legally can. Heil that!

Proving that Rome rebuilt the middle wall of partition between the Jews and the Church, which were made one by Christ!  Rome realized it was fighting a losing battle with the original Jewish followers of Christ, who accepted and believed Jesus was their Messiah 2,000 years ago, which was original Christianity.

The Romans first attempt to stamp out Jesus’ new movement of Judaism was hunting down and killing the Apostles. When that did not stop the Jewish followers of Christ, the Romans turned their attention toward the common Jewish people, their converted Gentiles who became Jews by following Jesus, their land, their beloved city Jerusalem, and the Jewish Temple.

The execution of the Jewish leaders (the Apostles) proved fruitless in the effort to halt original Christianity; which was really unperverted Judaism.  In fact, every time a Jewish Apostle was executed, it gave birth to more Christians from the Jewish and Gentile ranks; who had not yet made a decision to believe Jesus was the Messiah promised to Israel thousands of years before Jesus was born.

In 67 A.D. when Nero was Emperor of Rome, he had the Apostle Paul executed, and hatched a plan to utterly destroy the Jewish people, who were now called the Christians.  Nero decided, after hundreds of Christians were executed, it was impossible to stop Christianity by arresting and killing individuals, as well as the Christian Leaders.  Rome had failed their first attempt to stop the thickheaded Jewish followers of Jesus.

It was the entire horde of Jewish followers who had to be destroyed; but that job would be too immense, since there were millions of followers; and the Jews were lightly salted all over the vast Roman Empire.  Nero’s sick plan was to accomplish the destruction of the Jewish people by using the Gentile Roman citizens throughout the Roman Empire.  The stubborn Jews were nestled in every corner of the far-reaching Roman Empire.

Therefore, the Roman Emperor Nero hatched his diabolical scheme.  If Nero were to destroy the one thing cherished by all Roman citizens, and blame the Jews, he could get the angry Roman citizens to kill the Jews.  So, Nero burned Rome.

When Nero attempted to blame the followers of Jesus for burning Rome, he believed this would enrage the Gentile citizens of the Roman Empire.  Hoping the general public in every Roman nation, who personally knew their Jewish neighbors and where they lived, would rise up, drag the Jews from their homes, and beat them to death!

After Nero burnt down Rome, he told the Roman Senators what he had done.  They were so enraged by Nero burning their beloved city, they assassinated him.  Although Nero’s planned backfired and cost him his life, Adolph Hitler used the same scheme to get rid of the Jews in Germany.

Hitler duplicated Nero’s plan in 1938 by burning the German Reichstag in Berlin, which was the German Parliamentary building, similar to the Capital Building in Washington D.C.  Then Hitler blamed the evil deed upon the Bolechecvics, a name describing the Jews from Russia.

Unlike Nero, the German people believed Hitler, who succeeded in causing the citizens of Germany to rise up and literally drag Jews from their homes and beat them to death!  It was known as the Night of Broken Glass.  This lie resulted in over six million Jews being murdered and countless Jews maimed, crippled, and mentally destroyed; not to mention the hordes of Jewish people who lost their families, belongings, lifestyles, and country.

Elijah is a living human being who must precede the Coming of Jesus.  The Gentile Churches suppress this teaching, because this information about Elijah would cause Gentile Christians, and Jewish Messianic Christians, to diligently seek and find Elijah; who will expose their lies and overturn their plans to present Christianity with The Antichrist.

Elijah is the only man on earth that can identify the Christ!  This is the same work John the Baptist was commissioned and sent to perform on earth 2,000 years ago, whom Jesus labeled___the Elijah.  This is the same work the original Elijah of the Old Testament did to expose the evil rulers of Israel and their false prophets, whom Elijah challenged and killed before the eyes of Israelite onlookers.

The reason for the slight-of-hand teachings offered by Gentile Christian Churches, concerning their absent mindedness about Elijah, is they will soon present a false Christ to the world.  This is not new.  They have done it many times in the past.

Hitler was their last attempt by Rome to present the previous false Christ, which was presented to the deceived German people.  The recorded documents in Germany testify to the fact that all Gentile Christian Churches in Germany told the people, Hitler was the Christ returning, (hence the title Fuhrer which means ‘the Lord’.)

Tracts in Germany were printed and distributed by all tobacco stores throughout Germany, telling the German people that Hitler was the Christ returning for the second coming!  This is why the German Nazi military belt buckle stated, Gott Mit Uns, which translates into Immanuel in Hebrew, which means ‘God is with us’!   This is directly from the Old and New Testaments.  It is the specific identifying name of the Messiah. (Cross-reference Isaiah Chapter 7, verse 14 with Matthew Chapter 1, verses 21 to 23)

The Gentile Churches are in the business of deceiving people and presenting their Western nations with a false Christ, specifically to bring about the unification of Europe under Roman control: so Rome could unify the world into One World Order!  This was the underlying reason for World War I and World War II.

Hitler never shut the Christian Churches in Germany.  They flourished right through the war.  Hitler and his Nazi comrades even acted as the priests, dressed in 12th century armour, attended weddings in churches, conducted Bible studies at all military camps, and celebrated Christmas.  All of which was recorded on film and records.

All German mothers were issued a Roman Catholic cross, with a German Nazi Swastika on it, for producing children.  On the back of the Roman Catholic cross was an engraving.  The engraving gave the date the cross was first issued and the personal signature of Adolph Hitler!

A brass cross was issued to women having three sons for the fatherland of Germany.  A silver cross was issued for having four, five, or six sons, and a gold cross was issued to a woman for having seven or more sons.  The German mothers wore their Roman Catholic Christian crosses proudly right up until the end of the World War II in 1945; and many hid their crosses after the war because the victorious allied forces made the Germans burn all the proof.

The Leaders of other nations knew how they tempted Hitler into believing he was the Christ returning and had to cover-up the truth by having all the evidence destroyed.  Yet, in spite of their efforts to hide the truth from the world, much evidence survived and still exists today!

Proof of their cover-up proves one of the greatest deceptions of the 20th century and proves what Rome has been doing for the past thousand years.  Proof of what Rome and the Protestant Churches have been doing to pervert Christianity for the last thousand years.  Proof of what Jesus taught us is true (see Matthew Chapter 24, verses 7 to 11 and 23 to 26)… if you have ears, listen!

The Jewish people at least know that Elijah must precede the Coming of their Messiah, known to us as the Christ!  How come Christianity and Judaism, two totally separate religions, have this man Elijah in common?  Because they are not separate religions, neither did Jesus ever intend to separate them… the Gentiles of Rome separated Christianity from Judaism and re-labeled it another religion!

The Apostle Paul tells us about this truth in Ephesians Chapter 2 – in verse 3 he said: “we… were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” The “we” refers to the Jews and “the others” refers to the Gentiles.  In verses 4 and 5 Paul said: “God… has quickened (resurrected) us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved).” “Us” refers to the Jews and the Gentiles.

In verses 11 to 14, the Apostle says: “Therefore remember, that you… Gentiles… called Uncircumcision by… them called the Circumcision (the Jews); that you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the (Jewish) covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God: but now in Christ Jesus you (Gentiles)… are made near by the blood of Christ, because he (Jesus) is our peace, (Jesus) who has made both (Jew and Gentile) one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us.”

Knock-knock jokes…  Top Ten lists…  ”That’s what she said”…  Over time, cultures build stockpiles of shared comic references.  Back when we all watched Saturday Night Live, everyone copped Dana Carvey’s “Isn’t that special?” complete with the Church Lady’s off-balance lip pursing.  More recently, Kanye West’s obnoxiousness led to a spate of  ”Imma let you finish–” bits.  Sharing laughs around common reference points builds bonds between people, and simply makes the day pass more pleasantly…

So it’s no surprise that this video popped up at the end of last week.  Mark Wegener, the man behind the consistently intelligent humor of ‘Local Paper’, passed along this latest version of Downfall, this time with Bruno Ganz’ Hitler screaming about the news media’s breathless over-coverage of the Balloon Boy hoax.

These days, you really are nowhere in the cultural landscape if you haven’t been referenced and had the piss taken out of you by ridiculous subtitles laid over this 2004 Oscar nominated film.  Type “Hitler Downfall” into YouTube’s search box and you’ll get 2,280 hits.  People have re-edited this clip to make Hitler rail on everything from Twitter’s server fail to Michael Bay’s Transformers to Tony Romo dumping Jessica Simpson.  It’s become such a common reference point it’s even gone meta, with Hitler losing it over his discovery of all the Hitler parodies.

It will take a far smarter person than me to explain our collective subconscious enjoyment of seeing history’s most notorious villain alternatively simper and explode over the banal topics of everyday life.  But the simpler truth is that the internet, originally designed to link brainiacs involved in military research and development, now serves a far more noble purpose: enabling distant people–often complete strangers–to satisfy our deeply human need for connection.  And laughter.

With the release of Windows 7, we PC users can only hope that Gates & Co got it right this time and that we can kick Vista, the worst computer operating system devised by fallen man, to the gutter.  Here is a good article setting forth some of the more annoying features of Vista, and here is an article which explains why Vista never was accepted by many PC owners.  Windows 7 seems to be getting good reviews from the testers, but we will all be able to find out on our own soon enough.

However, as Blimp TV explains in the video below (Content Advisory:  Some harsh language no doubt induced by Vista Rage.) Microsoft had a method behind their madness in releasing a product as defective on launch as Vista.

 Apparently even Hitler had problems with Vista.  (Content advisory:  the language is very rough, but what else can be expected of Hitler.) (As a sidenote, I enjoy these Hitler parodies on the net.  The late Werner Klemperer, a German Jewish refugee who played Colonel Klink in the Hogan Heroes series, when asked how he could play a Nazi, said that he would go to his grave happy knowing that he caused people to laugh at the Nazis.  Being laughed at throughout history is the worst fate that the ever self-important murderous Austrian corporal could ever have envisaged.  Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator had the right idea.)

Jesus taught truth is the only way a person can worship God the Father in heaven.  A person who worships the Father is saved from hell on earth and after physical death.

Jesus worshiped the Father by teaching the true principles of Judaism to overturn the lies that perverted Judaism, even if it had to cost him his life.  So, the Father raised Jesus up from the dead: as promised by the Old Testament.  Jesus did not raise Himself from the dead, according to the New Testament.

The worship of God the Father comes only by seeking the truth about God and Jesus, not by simply claiming Jesus’ name or by some prayer you audibly make; neither does it come by rituals or traditions; and it certainly doesn’t come if idols are involved.

After the Roman Gentiles took the original church of Jesus by force, they had to deceive the world into believing their lie to keep people from worshiping God the Father, which is in heaven.  The Romans knew Jesus’ original church had the power of God, which undermined the Roman Empire, causing it to fall into ruins.  They realized a lie would cancel the truth and cause people to lose the power of God and stop Christians from worshiping God.

This was the Roman master plan to regain their empire. “If you can’t beat them, join them!”  The lie they chose about Jesus being God the Father is simply an extension of their original worship of the Babylonian Sun god!  If the Gentiles could succeed in keeping the followers of Jesus from worshiping the God of Israel in truth, the Romans could get their power over them back again, which is where the world is today.

We are not discussing the general lies people spew at each other every day.  The plan of God solely depended upon people believing the truth about the man Jesus being His Christ.  If the truth about Jesus is perverted, it becomes a lie.  Therefore, the only lie we must concern ourselves with is the lie specifically concerning the man Jesus.

It is this particular type of lie that destroys the truth (the gospel) about the man Jesus; and it only takes one lie to destroy the truth, which lie then causes the people believing the lie to fall into the trap.  Reducing them to people spreading lies about the man Jesus, which is the direct opposite of what the plan of God intended, which is the poison in the free soup fed to the masses.

One lie about the man Jesus is enough to cause you to worship satan, who is the father of lies, unknowingly!  Once Rome accomplished taking Jesus’ Church by force, and perpetrated lies about Jesus being God the Father, then the New Roman Gentile Churches could spread new lies about the Coming of Christ.

Their plan includes bypassing Elijah, the man destined to herald the Coming of Christ.  The only man who can identify Christ, without whom it is impossible for anyone else to identify the Christ at His Coming.  The false church would then present a human being to the Christians whom they prepared with their lies.

A man whom all the Gentile Churches would hail as the Christ returning for the Second Coming, as they did in 1933 when Adolph Hitler was hailed in Germany and sanctioned by the Pope.  Heil Hitler was the term used to greet Hitler, which means hail Hitler: hence the second Coming of Jesus!  Then Rome could re-instate their Emperor on the throne of Rome and reunify Europe under their control….

Unfortunately, Jews became a part of that deception in spite of the many warnings from Jesus in the New Testament to beware of false prophets who will deceive many people…. Jesus also warned us that the deceived people would accept many false Christs!

I’m going to drop my pastoral guard and admit something to you: I love Clint Eastwood westerns. There, I said it. Now hang on and hear the rest of it. I don’t love every scene in them, and I’m fully aware what valid criticisms can be brought against them. But I’m not going to tell a spiritual sounding lie and say that I don’t love those movies. (In the interest of full disclosure, I’ve got Dish Network with the DVR feature, which allows me to fast-forward through scenes I’d rather skip.)  

The reason I love Eastwood’s westerns can be summed up in one simple word: justice. In those movies, the bad guys get theirs. In those famous “spaghetti” westerns (“The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly”; “A Fistful of Dollars”; and “For A Few Dollars More”) Eastwood is the gunfighter-bounty hunter who takes care of the outlaws the law can’t handle. In “Hang ‘Em High” he’s the wrongly hung man who turns marshal and rounds up the culprits. In “Two Mules For Sister Sara” he prevents the dastardly French from making inroads into Mexico. In “Joe Kidd” he’s the rancher who has to put a stop to Robert Duvall and his group of vigilantes who oppose land reform. In “High Plains Drifter” he’s the marshal’s ghost who comes back to handle the hypocritical, cowardly citizens of Lago and the outlaws who killed him. In “The Outlaw Josey Wales” he’s the Missouri farmer who turns Confederate guerilla-fighter to avenge the senseless killing of his family. In “Pale Rider” he’s the mysterious preacher (actually another ghost, that of a gunfighter) who saves a little group of prospectors from a greedy, ruthless mining company. In “Unforgiven” he’s the ex-killer who gets back into the business to bring down not only the men who brutalized a prostitute but also the mean ole’ sheriff who pretty much let them get away with it. Do I sense a pattern here? Sure do. If you want some real justice dispensed, call Clint Eastwood and give him a horse and a six-shooter.

What makes Eastwood’s justice so particularly appealing is the fact that it gets carried out so swiftly. In many scenes, troublemakers are dealt their comeuppance in a matter of seconds. In no case does the justice take more than the span of a movie. This stands in such stark contrast to our own legal system, a system that typically gets bogged down in things like continuations, booked court calendars, recesses, appeals, appeals of appeals, and retrials.

One other thing, in the Eastwood westerns the perpetrator never goes free. Forget loopholes, circumstantial evidence, and the like. If the guy’s got it coming, he gets it! No questions. No apologies. No regrets. In the late 1980s, Eastwood served a couple of years as the mayor of his hometown of Carmel, California. He missed his calling; he should have been it’s sheriff.

Am I the only one who ever wishes that God would hurry up His justice? I have no doubts whatsoever that His justice is found in spades in the afterlife, but why can’t it be found more in this life? I mean, as far as we know, London’s Jack the Ripper got away with his murders. Germany’s Adolph Hitler ended up taking his own life, but not before he oversaw the sadistic killing of six million Jews during World War II. Pol Pot attempted to form a Communist peasant farming society in Cambodia, and under his dictatorship some two million people (approximately 25% of that country’s entire population) died from starvation, overwork, and executions. Iraq’s Saddam Hussein was finally executed by hanging, but during his reign of terror he had hundreds of thousands of Kurds and Shiite Muslims put to death. Cuba’s Fidel Castro kept his tight grip on that nation by killing many thousands of his countrymen, basically anyone who didn’t toe his party line. And yet he has lived in wealth and ease well into his eighties.

Where is God in all this? More to the point, where is His justice? I love Deuteronomy 32:4, which says of God: “He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.” I read that and think, “Yes, yes. That’s the God I serve!” But then I pick up the newspaper and read about yet another child abuse case, serial killer on the loose, or white-collar criminal who stole millions and got off with a slap on the wrist. Such injustices simply don’t appear to line up with Deuteronomy 32:4.

We see this same kind of thing even in the Bible. Herod Agrippa I began a persecution of the early church by killing James, the brother of John, and having Peter arrested. Not too many days afterward he was struck by an angel, eaten by worms, and died (Acts 12:1-23). Now that’s justice! But wait. Another Herod, Antipas, had John the Baptist beheaded (Matthew 14:1-12) and played a role in the trial of Jesus (Luke 23:6-12). Despite these unjust acts, historians tell us that he lived for several years after these events. You see, God’s justice doesn’t always fall in ways that are swift and obvious.  

Let’s admit it, seeing that justice gets done in this world just isn’t a high priority with God. If you think this is a blasphemous statement, let me point you to Job. He admitted to being thoroughly confused by God’s lack of justice when he said, “He destroys the blameless and the wicked. If the scourge slays suddenly, He laughs at the plight of the innocent. The earth is given into the hand of the wicked. He covers the faces of its judges. If it is not He, who else could it be?” (Job 9:22-24) He also asked, “Why do the wicked live on, growing old and increasing in power?” (Job 21:7)    

Such talk puts Job in good company. Asaph said, “Behold, these are the ungodly, who are always at ease. They increase in riches. Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence. For all day long I have been plagued and chastened every morning” (Psalm 73:12-14). Jeremiah asked God, “Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are those happy who deal so treacherously?” (Jeremiah 12:1) Habakkuk got very blunt about the matter when he said to God, “Therefore the law is powerless, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous. Therefore perverse judgment proceeds” (Habakkuk 1:4).  

So why does God so many times delay His justice until the afterlife? I would offer two reasons. Reason #1: God is merciful, patient, and longsuffering (to the point of being illogical) because He loves even the wicked and hates banishing them to hell. 2 Peter 3:9 says: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 1 Timothy 2:4 says that God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Ezekiel 33:11 says: “Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’”

Reason #2 why God’s justice is delayed is: God wants to allow the iniquity of the wicked to reach its full measure so that His judgment upon them can reach its full measure. In Genesis 15:16, God explains to Abraham why His descendants can’t go ahead and possess Canaan. The reason is, the iniquity of the Amorites isn’t yet complete (hasn’t yet reached its full measure).

The Amorites were one of the most powerful of the races who occupied Canaan. In this context they represent all those races. God knew that when He finally did give the order for the people of Israel to go in and claim Canaan, that order would be accompanied by the command to kill the land’s inhabitants, including the women and children (Exodus 23:23-33, 33:1-2; Deuteronomy 9:1-5, 19:1, 31:3-5; Joshua 6:21, 8:24-29, etc.).

Such a cold, calculated command would demand a worthy reason. Delaying Israel’s conquest of Canaan for over four hundred years would give the land’s inhabitants more than four centuries to simmer in their sins and bring them to a boiling point that would befit such an ordered extermination. It was as if God said to Abraham, “The people of Canaan are wicked now, and I could judge them accordingly today. But I want the opportunity to watch them get worse and worse for a few more centuries so that I can work up my fiercest anger against them before I pour it out through your descendants.”

In closing, let me say that these two reasons for the delays in God’s justice are still at work today. Each of them is indelibly woven into the very fabric of His nature. One comes under the category of hope, while the other comes under the category of doom. But the immediate effect of both is the same: the delay of justice. You see, God has more than a quick scene or a two-hour movie in which to impart His justice. He paints on the canvas of eternity. That means that, in the short run, He can be more merciful, longsuffering, and patient than Clint Eastwood. It also means that, in the long run, His brand of justice is much more devastating than Clint’s.
