A EE Júlio Secco deu o troco no time da escola Celestin Freinet no 2º jogo pela Liga Praia Grandense de Fustal neste domingo, dia 31/10: 4×3, com 2 gols de Juliana, 1 de Adriane e outro de Nayara.

A próxima partida acontece dia 08/11  às 16h20 da tarde, no Ginásio do Clube de Praia São Paulo (sujeito a alteração). Desta vez, as meninas jogam contra Ases/Frota Vento Imports. Não perca!

new opportunities.. or so they say. And who ‘they’ are, I do not know, I guess it is everyone.
Moving back into the library this week, cause I really need to finish some work, and get ahead of myself again.
I have another hour before my next lecture, thing is.. It’s a lot better to spend my time listening to Cheryl Cole’s new album, which I bought today and I quite like it.
I also had some lunch, a sandwich…

It is really hard getting back into it after a weekend where you’ve completely shut down all university thoughts and stuff.
However I got the best ending of the weekend ever.
You know my entry about Adriane’s comp, with my video.
Well, she kindly picked me as her winner! I was so happy, surprised and pretty much just well thrilled.
I’ve never really won anything in my entire life so it just made my day. Still makes me squeal a little on the inside when I think about it. So thank you hun:)

Anyways, the album is almost done playing and I still have some time, best try and get some studying done, so I don’t have to move into the library till midnight.

I tend to never know what these random ramblings end up with, but here we go again.
First of all, sorry I cancelled the competition, there were so little interest, but I promise to run it again later, maybe closer to christmas and the prize will be a christmas pressie from the disney store? yes?
Today has been a bit back an forth tbh, we walked to town and walked back from town, and we were gonna have tacos for dinner, then we weren’t.
The good news is, we DID have it:D and it was yummy!
Tomorrow will be long(ish) because I’ve got a lecture from 9-11, group meeting from 11-1 and then another lecture at 2-4, then home to make choc chip cupcakes, as inspired by Astrid Katrine.
But we have taco left overs for tomorrow night too!
Ehm what else, oooooooh.. on the way home as I went by asda to shop for the taco, I came across something that made my day:

Other than that I’m trying to think of a brilliant idea for my entry for Adriane’s competiton, she’s giving away a goodiebag worth £60 :O So I wanna make an effort, so for now this is advertising, the actual blog entry will come within the next few days. Finally, on friday me and Renate met up with our good friend Coral and her friend Julie, for a night out a cheekys.
I had legs, heels, and clevage, still I went home with the same girl I went out with. My best friend, so that’s ok:p
I had also given Renate permission to prettify me, since she’s brilliant at that. That girl is a photographer, a model and a make up artist! triple threat!

Adriane Galisteu, da Band, e Luciana Gimenez, da RedeTV!, são alguns dos nomes confirmados de outras emissoras já liberados para participarem do Teleton, maratona televisiva no SBT em prol da AACD.

Insatisfeita com os baixos índices alcançados por Adriane Galisteu, a Band resolveu promover mudanças no programa da loira.

Sai o “Toda Sexta” e entra o “Toda Terça”. Segundo o jornal O Estado de S. Paulo, a Band irá promover uma mudança completa no conteúdo do programa e mudará o dia de exibição da atração.

A decisão foi tomada, porque os diretores da Band acreditam que o público jovem, que acompanha Adriane Galisteu, não está em casa no horário em que o programa é transmitido. Com a mudança de dia, a emissora do Morumbi espera que a atração alcance a meta estipulada, que é de 5 pontos.

Desde abril, quando o “Toda Sexta” entrou no ar, o programa tem atingido apenas 2 pontos de média, a metade do que o extinto “Terra Nativa” costumava registrar nas noites de sexta da emissora.

Procurada pelo jornal, a Band disse que realizará mudanças no “Toda Sexta”, mas preferiu não revelar os detalhes.

Knoppix è la storica (e più famosa) distribuzione nata in forma live ed è basata su Debian. Ma non è stata la primissima: la francese Demo Linux aveva dato inizio a questa era: sfruttare un sistema operativo senza necessariamente installarlo.
Si è sempre appoggiata al desktop manager KDE, tranne che sulla speciale versione Adriane recentemente rilasciata, che andiamo a provare.
Adriane è un sistema audio di parlato che traduce quello che andiamo a fare nel sistema, utile, oltre che hai non vedenti, anche per chi sta imparando ad usare il computer.
Come desktop manager, è stato invece utilizzato LXDE (Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment), un prodotto che consuma poche risorse e quindi molto veloce.

Dal sito http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/ scarichiamo la corposa (649MB) versione (in inglese) tramite torrent (http://torrent.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/torrents/KNOPPIX_V6.0-ADRIANE_V1.1CD-2009-01-27-EN.torrent) e con Unetbootin creiamo l’immagine di boot per pen.

Al boot ci compaiono queste opzioni, ma solo la Default funziona (Unetbootin non è stato in grado di far funzionare anche le altre):

* knoppix
* surf
* fb1024×768
* fb800×600
* failsafe

Dopo 10 secondi di avvio, ci compare un messaggio che ci chiede di dare una dimensione per il file dove salvare le nostre impostazioni. Se non inseriamo nulla, dopo un pò, riprende il caricamento (in stile Knoppix, ovvero in modalità grafica (con 2 Tux in alto) e i messaggi di output colorati nella parte sottostante).
Altri 15 secodi e si apre il desktop Adriane in puro testo: sembra di trovarsi in uno di quei programmi DOS a scelta multipla!
Le scelte sono infatti:

* 2 E-Mail
* 3 SMS
* 4 Multimedia
* 5 Contacts
* 6 Notebook

Una voce sintetizzata ci leggerà qualsiasi cosa scritta sullo schermo nel punto in cui ci posizioniamo.

Ma veniamo alle scelte:

* WWW ci aprirà una sessione di Elinks, in modalità testuale possiamo perciò navigare in rete.
* E-Mail ci aprirà una sessione di Mutt (sempre testuale)
* SMS ci permette di svrivere SMS (appoggiandoci all’editor Nano)
* Multimedia prevede due voci: visualizzare audio/video da CD o DVD, oppure da un file
* Conctact ci permesse (sempre in testuale) di aggiungere dei contatti
* Notebook ci permette d inserire delle note di testo
* Text Scanner: scansione di testi (fallita in mancanza dello scanner)
* File Manager: apre una sessione di Midnight Commander (dopo aver scelto il disco da leggere)
* Shell: apre una shell
* Nel setup (penultimo comando), si può settare alcuni parametri di sistema quali, internet, stampanti, scanner, audio/video ecc.
* Nei programmi grafici ci sono: soffice (Open Office), firefox e startlxde (Full x session)

Proviamoli subito:
Aprendo Openoffice, inizia a caricarsi la grafica (appare anche l’attivazione di Compiz Fusion) e poco dopo, appare la schermata a pieno schermo di openoffice. Qui possiamo lavorare solo sui documenti office, non esiste altro a livello di desktop caricato.
La voce continua a esporci quello con cui interagiamo/scriviamo anche in questa modalità grafica. Notevole.
Se attiviamo Firefox, riparte come prima a caricarsi la grafica e poco dopo Iceweasel (Firefox per Debian) si è aperto e possiamo navigare.
Ora proviamo invece l’opzione più interessante: la grafica nell’ambiente minimale LXDE.

Il suo caricamento dura pochi secondi e il desktop minimale ci appare subito, presentando un aspetto classico, con barra inferiore, tasto start per i programmi e varie icone di collegamenti a programmi.

Il sistema grafico Compiz Fusion funziona benissimo e i suoi effetti grafici 3D vanno che è un piacere. Sebbene minimale, il desktop è funzionale come un classico sistema, perciò lo si padroneggia subito.

Sul fronte dei programmi installati abbiamo:

* Gnome MPlayer (player multimediale)
* GIMP (programma grafico)
* Image Viewer (visualizzatore immagini)
* xpdf /(lettore pdf)
* Pidgin (chat)
* Icedove (mail/news)
* Iceweasel (browser)
* Java 1.6
* OpenOfice
* Xarchiver
* PCMan file manager

quindi tutto quello che ci serve per internet, office e fotoritocco.

Uscendo dall’ambiente grafico, si ritorna ai menu di Adriane in modalità DOS.

Questa Knoppix è indubbiamente diversa dalle solite a cui eravamo abituati e si adatta bene al portatilino, visto l’utilizzo della leggero LXDE o della possibilità di lavorare in modalità testo.
In particolare, sul sistema LXDE ci torneremo dato che esiste una distribuzione ufficiale apposita per testare l’ambiente, per cui vale la pena di provare anche questa versione..

É forte a pressão interna, para que o programa de Adriane Galisteu, o Toda Sexta, da Band, mude seu dia de exibição. A preferência é que ele passe para as terças-feiras. Para isso, o jeito será mudar o nome da atração, que está atrelado à sexta-feira, dia na semana complicado para a programação televisiva, já que a audiência costuma cair. Esta tem sido uma das justificas para que a atração de Galisteu não tenha emplacado ainda no Ibope.

“Mudar o nome do programa  é o de menos. Todo mundo sabe que é o programa da Galisteu. O importante é mudar de dia. O público da Adriane Galisteu não fica em casa às sextas. É um público baladeiro. Também, como já foi dito, é um dia péssimo para o meio artístico, que está viajando ou fazendo shows”, garantiu uma fonte ao site O Fuxico.

Por outro lado, a assessoria de imprensa da Band diz que o Toda Sexta, que registrou 2.6  de média e 5,0 de pico na última edição, não vai mudar de dia.

Former Penn State soccer standout Tiffany Weimer ’06 is getting a chance to continue her pro career: The Women’s Professional Soccer league began play earlier this month with Weimer playing forward for FC Gold Pride in the Bay area of California. Weimer, who scored 91 goals in her Penn State career—a Big Ten record—was drafted in the new league’s third round last fall.

There was a nice profile of Weimer in Saturday’s San Jose Mercury-News. In the photo here, Weimer’s the one in the black uniform. The photo is from their season opener—a win over the Boston Breakers on April 5.

Among Weimer’s teammates on FC Gold Pride are Brandi Chastain, formerly of the U.S. national team, and three of those  Brazilian players who just go by one name: Erika, Adriane, and Formiga.

I’ve been checking out men’s fashion week in Milan, and all I have to say is woooooooowwwwww….  Why does it look like all of them had their soul stolen before being sent out on the runway?  Half of them look hungrier than the girls, and the rest are pissed off.  Is it because, just like porn but unlike many other non-superficial industries, they aren’t nearly as important as their female counterparts? Are they bitter?  I mean, there’s a couple dudes that look like they were snatched out of a london alley while they were shooting up, chloroformed, kidnapped, and just came to on the runway….I mean the clothes are hot but the men look disgusting.  NOT SEXUAL……but the neck warmers are*

i went with antoinette cardenas, her fried jenessa, and annie’s new friends spencer and jay.  i met antoinette because she does the door at do-over, my summer jammy on sunday afternoons in LA.  she’s always very gracious and sweet, and lets me and my peeps in with no probs EVER.  so when she told me she was coming to nyc, i was very excited to hang with her and forge another friendship.  jenessa is a photographer whom annie met on her last trip out here, and annie met spencer the night before at max fish **side note: so annie arrived and wanted to hang out, but i had to work late so i told her to go to max fish.  she said she was a little nervous because she was alone, and we all know that alone is my specialty so i gave her the routine -

1. go to the bar
2. get a drink
3. speak to the first person that speaks to you.  no exceptions.  it’s obviously up to you how long you speak to this person, but it makes you feel less alone and you may come out of it with a really cool friend (which she did!!)

ok, back to friday.  so i meet antoinette and some of her friends at takahachi for sexual sushi rolls (sadly, taquito, my favorite guy behind the sushi bar, was not there) when she asks if i wanted to go out after.  now since i’ve been in granny mode lately AND working every day, i fix my mouth to say no until she mentions that q-tip and spinna have a night at santos party house. 

i give pause.

then agree to go.  reluctantly.

we stop by le pere pinard so i can kiss my babe, then we go to 205 first and have drinkies (boy was that place fucking random), them meet up with spencer and jay.  spencer is a very handsome and super respectful young man, as well as jay.  but jay i kind of fell in love with.  (jay, if you read this, please be my dance floor boyfriend and get at me so we can tear it up again.)  there’s a daunting line with the nerve to be wrapped around the corner, so spencer works his magic and we go right in.  after a round of patrony shots (thanks jay!!), we take it upstairs and proceed to sweat ur weaves out.  spinna wasn’t there, but rich medina was, and we all know that rich medina’s sets give me pee-pee tingles.  plus any time i get to be in close proximity to q-tip is a greay day for adriane-kind.  truth be told, i’ve always carried a torch for q-tip, but he’s got a jones for redbones and my bones are very much, well, brown.

but no matter.  i work my way upstairs to vip to dodge a couple cats on the prowl, and find my sweet spot – right in front of the turntables.  why this is my favorite spot in any party that has a dj will be addressed in another blog.  then, miraculously (or not so, since we’re in a hip-hop club in manhattan), somebody comes over and shotguns me with some herbalistics and it was blood on the dance floor for the next 3 hours or so.  i tore it up.  they played all my jammies and i proceeded to lose my mind and sweat my perm out until a few scant hours before i had to be to work.  but i finally had the night i used to fantasize about 10-15 years ago when i was dancing to east coast hip-hop in west coast clubs, and it was something i won’t soon forget.  so 2009 has definitely jumped off on the right foot*****

so thank you to annie for convincing me to go out, thanks to spencer for being so nice and hooking up the entry, thanks to jay for the party pants and the cazals he was wearing, and thanks to jenessa for saying i wasn’t a piping hot mess at the end of the night when i knew i really was……

oh, and it’s $8250. but that’s no big, right?

so i get ready this morning, late as usual, without opening the windows.  i grab the standard uniform – slouchy monrow white t, skinnyish genetic jeans, cute sweater, boots.  I jump into the elevator, checking e-mails on the way down.  i jump out of the elevator and freeze – there is a full on snow situation happening.  my FIRST full-on snow situation.  not one to be a quitter, i instantly pull up and try to get with it:  i’m like, that’s cool, it’s actually cute!  not that often that you experience firsts at this stage of the game.  so i jump my little ass on out there.  but let me tell you about the other firsts i experienced today because of the snow:

• today was the first time that my coat felt completely inadequate.  i felt super hallmark commercial at first, all cute as the snowflakes landed on my face, hair & shoulders….all of a sudden, i’m feeling really damp.  call me stupid, but when you don’t have any snow experience you forget that it’s still water.  so when the shit turns to water on your knit coat and starts to seep through,  cue breeze, you get the picture. 
• today was also the first time i learned to stay away from the curb when cars are turning corners, otherwise you’ll get a brown shower.  not the sex one, which, now that i think about it, is the lesser of the two.  at least you’re having sex already, and i’m pretty sure you have to ask for poop.  suffice to say i didn’t ask for the brown shower i got, although some may argue otherwise because of how close i was standing to the curb.  people here can really be bastards, which leads me to my next first: 
• today was also the first time i realized that nobody really cares here, and that’s just new york.  i was standing on broome and broadway, soaking wet.   i didn’t really want anything (except a shamwow, maybe?), but even a sympathetic look would’ve helped.  seemingly people couldn’t even be bothered with being indifferent.  apparently pity parties, no matter how small, are just another casualty of our failing economy.  that and the slutty santa chicks at the beverly center.  but i digress.

Other than that, it’s actually pretty cool.  I’m used to buying snow in a can and spraying it in the windowsill while contemplating either barbecuing or going to the beach on Christmas Day, so this is really novel to me.  I keep running to the windows to take pictures, and it’s making the Charlie Brown Christmas album seem that much more Christmasey all of a sudden.  I am also currently at the store, so if anyone wants to show up with some egg nog it would be really sexual. but the realness will present itself on the way home from work….will post –

Marcelo Sinoca 'puxa' a equipe durante portagem de duck

União, força e determinação levaram o quarteto ao Pódio da etapa do circuito mais conhecido e disputado de corrida de aventura do país – o Adventure Camp.

Adriane Heinisch, atleta da equipe que durante todo o circuito contou com o apoio da Track&Field, relata que a prova começou muito antes do dia 7, especialmente nos treinos específicos de mountain bike e na própria viagem de Curitiba, onde mora, até Paraty.

A equipe foi especialmente formada para essa etapa, e apesar de nunca terem corrido juntos, Adriane logo percebeu que os atletas Marcelo Sinoca, Pedro Viana e Marcos Rossini dariam trabalho para ela e para as outras equipes!!

A equipe chegou em Paraty e já fizeram todos os procedimentos de checagem de equipamentos de segurança. O tempo bom e a beleza do local (um dos mais bonitos e preservados do litoral do Rio de Janeiro) prometiam uma prova inesquecível.

Entregues os mapas e feito o briefing técnico, a equipe aproveitou ainda para uma partida de sinuca, para relaxar e se conhecerem um pouco melhor.

Manhã de domingo, é dada a largada:

“A prova foi dura, nunca havia participado de um Camp antes e foi uma prova dificil, rápida e cheia de estratégia. No início ja tinhamos que nos separar, com Marcos e Pedro indo de ducky para o pc 1 e eu e Marcelo fomos correndo para o pc 2 localizada numa ilha só acessível a nado e onde esperamos nossos amigos que chegaram a remo num duck (embarcação inflável). A partir daí embarcamos todos num único barco, exigindo imaginação e alongamento dos 4 para manter cabermos todos e mantermos o ritmo!”

Após outra divisão de equipe, todos seguiram juntos de trekking para o maior desafio da prova – uma serra de mais de 400m de altitude. Para piorar, relata Adriane, “no começo da subida levei uma picada de Marimbondo. Uma dor horrível e agunizante e por muito tempo me senti estranha com dores e com tonteira durante toda a subida da serra.” A força e união da equipe nesse momento foi fundamental, e todos ajudaram a Adriane na subida.

Já recuperada, a equipe passou a “socar a bota” até chegar ao pc 10 onde um dos integrantes deveria fazer uma tiroleza (técnica vertical no qual o praticante usa uma polia para percorrer um cabo fixo).
Para encerrar, a equipe fez o último trecho de mountain bike com muita força, possibilitando-os a chegar na quinta-colocação da categoria principal. Com o resultado, a equipe ficou em 4o. lugar no circuito de 2008, encerrando o ano com um ótimo resultado.

A equipe agradece o contínuo apoio da Track&Field – em 2009 tem mais!
