Bandai’s mobile phone website m-pub.channel.or.jp is hosting a graphic that reads as follows:

New Code Geass Project Launch Green-Lit!

Wait for more info in 2010!!
The image adds that this project represents a “rebirth” and that Geass will take a new step starting today. The message is signed with the name, “ZERO.”

In the January 2009 issue of Gakken’s Animedia magazine, the Sunrise anime studio indicated the possibility of more plans for its Code Geass science-fiction franchise. Sunrise created and animated the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion television anime series and its R2 sequel. Sunrise did not indicate the format that any hypothetical future plans might take. The Adult Swim television programming block ran Bandai Entertainment’s adaptation of the R2 sequel in North America. (Source:ANN)

Update 2: The website has reverted back to its earlier contents, and the image revealing the new Code Geass project is no longer posted on the main page, even though it is still available by directly accessing its address.

Update 3: The same message that appeared on the mobile website also appears on the franchise’s computer website after the main page downloads a Flash interstitial. It was also repeated during Saturday’s “Kiseki no Tanjōbi” event. Thanks eaglestorm and Crystal.

Update 4: The franchise’s computer website has posted a page devoted to the new project. The page has a message from Code Geass producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi. According to Kawaguchi, the new project will feature the simultanteous releases of comic series, music, new products under development, and visual works. More details will be revealed in the January issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype magazine, which ships this week.

Very Interesting… Though I am a little disappointed.Maybe I was expecting something ground breaking.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Ok, so that’s probably not totally accurate, but last night on The Venture Brothers (possibly the only Error: Adultswim shortcode syntax invalid show with a plot) a lot of fans got their first taste of progressive rock. Considering that this is one of my favorite shows on tv, I can’t describe how happy this segment made me. The prog-gy goodness actually continued later in the show, but here’s a quick video clip of the awesomeness.

De ceva timp ma lupt sa scriu despre un personaj special,care mi se pare ca mi se aseamana.Mi-am facut curaj si am inceput sa scriu despre Droopy.

Droopy este un personaj de desen animat, un câine care merge in picioare (se presupune ca e din rasa Basset Hound,pentru necunoscatorii ca mine,asta e cainele long vehicle ), cu o fata de …droopy(habar nu am ce e aia,dar sigur are fata de droopy). El a fost creat de Tex Avery,in mai multe scurt metraje la studiourile Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, în 1943.

Droopy este un personaj mai neobisnuit pentru Tex Avery,fiind un personaj incet,care vorbeste lent,cu o stare anorexica continua,este un personaj genial,cum putine au fost create,si,desi nu prea ne dam seama din actiunile lui,are o inteligenta conturata subtil,care il ajuta sa scape mereu de dusmanii lui,iar cand este cu adevarat suparat iese din starea lui si poate bate pe cineva de doua-trei ori mai mare ca el(seamana mult cu testoasa care concureaza cu iepurele si castiga)…Si ca o caracteristica a desenelor lui Tex Avery el este pupat mereu de o fata frumoasa,lucru care il face sa roseasca si sa il scoata din starea lui…
Personajul apare prima oara,fara un nume,in desenul Dumb-hounded a lui Tex Avery.Numele lui nu apare decat in al cincilea scurt metraj cu el – Senor Droopy.

Check these mad skating skillz!

     Anyone who has been super inebriated in the middle of the night, has most likely caught an episode of a show called “Metalocalypse”. If you happened to be on psychotropic hallucinogens at the time, you very well may not be here today because of the run in with Dethklok, the band at the center of the series. In an apocalyptic, not so distant future, Dethklok is a deathmetal band that captivates the mind of damn near the entire planet.

Nathan Explosion is the lead vocalist, and witnessed a drunk driver slaughter his entire class in elementary school, he has visions of his fellow bandmates dying due to an overabundance of crows, and it sends him into a paranoia driven quest for his G.E.D. Nathan Explosion was also Governor of Florida for a brief period. William Murderface, a homely, self-hating bass player, witnessed the axemurder-suicide of his parents, and grew up under the tutalage of his Grandmother, and Grandfather…Stella and Thunderbolt Murderface….it doesn’t get much funnier than that. Skwisgaar Skwigelf is the lead guitar player from Sweden, he plays death metal with motherf*&%in authority, as he shreds tasty riffs, he lays down some of the best quotes you will ever hear such as “Why are we at the food library?”, in reference to a grocery store! Toki Wartooth is the friendly Norwegian rhythm guitarist of Dethklok, with abs of steel, and a heart of gold. Toki suffers from a severe inferiority complex in Skwisgaar’s advanced metal-spinning abilities shadow, he also loves clowns, and is good friends with Dr. Rockzo, the cocaine loving, rock n roll clown! Pickles the alcoholic, drug abusing drummer, saw success in a previous band called Snakes-n-Barrels, he participated in a reunion tour that brought the rehabilitated members of the band, in front of the temptations of a drug called ultra cool liquid Alabama black snake, ..er something like it, they freaked out on stage!!! While all of this hilarity is going on it is sprinkled, and dusted with metal that simply put…IS THE SHIT!  A phenomenal subplot involving the government, religious leaders, and other ghastly bastards, is plotting against Dethklok, who is a force to be reckoned with. Dethklok’s album sales can fuel or squash the economy! If you haven’t seen the show, head on over to Adultswim and fuckin’ watch it!

Ok, so I’m going to do another dub review, this time for Bleach. The dub, by (I think) AdultSwim, is a good effort, and it was the best it could be, I believe. To me, anime never seems to sound right in English – but this was done really quite ok. The characters… Ichigo’s voice was very good, and made him sound like a real, brave, detirmined, caring fifteen year old boy, which he is. Rukia… I grew to like her voice, but I disliked it greatly at first. However, many people seemed to instantly think that Rukia’s voice was very fitting, and I am very fond of her as a character, so it took a little longer for me to accept her English voice. Kon is alright, just average, but it doesn’t bother me. Orihime’s voice suits her very well, and I think that they did very well with her character. Chad, Karin, the hollows, as well as the other characters have suitable voices, so, not much to say here.

The only real problem that I have with the dub is that the really dramatic scenes, the funny scenes, the ‘everyday’ scenes, were just too much. I’m probably just confusing everyone now, but what I’m trying to say is that, say, the scenes that really touched me in the original, just didn’t do anything for me here. I think the problem was that everything was exaggerated too much, so much that I couldn’t really feel the different emotions in, say, Ichigo and Rukia chasing a hollow, and Ichigo being badly injured, and Rukia leaving back for Soul Society in episode seventeen. Scenes that really made me feel something in the Japanese, original version, just do nothing for me here.

All in all, I liked the dub enough for me to watch it when I’m re-watching an episode, but I won’t be abandoning the original any time soon.

The Cleveland Show  a new spin off from the hit Family Guy.And  is coming to fox this fall in case you hadn’t heard about it yet. The show features Cleveland Brown moving back to his home town in Virginia with his fat-ass 14  year-old son, Cleveland Jr. Where he meets up with his high school sweet heart well, the girl he had a crush on in high school, Donna. Anyway Donna had married a man who had done her wrong , and Cleveland had always said if he does you wrong he would always be there for her. Add in a marriage and a few more siblings for Cleveland Jr. and you get the next animated comedy. And now the real question why Cleveland, what about …Quagmire.

Well, if you’ve been keeping up with your Foundation Content news, you know all about our newest oiriginal animated series for the web created by Ian Pfaff. UNDERWATER ADVENTURE!!! Now we all know that Ian is  no stranger to outlandish parodies, bizarre humor and cartooning…but put all of that into ONE show…underwater…with crude animation and you get “Underwater Adventure”.

Anyway, with award fever claiming the souls of millions across the country, we thought we’d cash in as well. And the nominees are….

Of the new series, Ian says “The goal is to make quick, oceanic experiences that try to “outstupid” each other…my goal is to make a thousand. Lately, I feel that’s my calling”.
