Eco Antivirus is the first rogue antispyware application that is claimed being carrying about environment and nature donating 2$ from every license purchase for forests protection. This very majestic idea is just a part of tricking plan to make users believe that using Eco Antivirus is the way of protection they need. Moreover they can be helpful for environment. In reality, no one is going to donate any money for forests protection and everything is just fake propaganda. This badware is pushed by the use of Trojans and different other malicious programs that makes Eco Antivirus more dangerous. Once inside the computer, Eco Antivirus is going to run system scan. All scans will state the same results about your computer being infected with numerous Trojans, worms and other nasty files. What is more, you will not be able to use Eco Antivirus to get rid of those threats until you purchase the license. Unfortunately, you are going to pay for absolutely worthless products that is why it has been highly recommended not to follow any directions Eco Antivirus offers you to and under no circumstances buy or download its products. Any time you log in the system, Eco Antivirus will start sending you annoying pop-ups screaming about extremely danger for your computer without registered license or about importance of new system scan. This all is just simple scam that should be easily ignored. While using Eco Antivirus this rogue antispyware application will deny access to security related websites in order to protect itself from further detection. All in all, Eco Antivirus despite all its bright promises is only simple rogue that was created by hackers and that will do any good either to the environment or to the security of your computer.

Site Villain is a clone of one of the latest creations of WiniSoft family of rogues – AntiAID. It has the same interface and uses the same strategy as AntiAID does. Site Villain is a misleading application the main aim of which is stealing as much money from your wallet as possible. In order its plans came true, Site Villain uses fake system scans to make you feel scared about your computer and do anything to improve its protection. That is why Site Villain offers you to visit its official website where you can find and purchase the registered license. But do not hurry up, and start using your credit card on Site Villain products. Very probably you don’t have any of those threats because they were made up by this rogue antispyware program by itself. If you didn’t follow the instructions Site Villain gives you, it will not going to stop. Moreover it is going to modify Windows Security System the way it pops-up windows with information about license importance. Also, Site Villain is going to spread bogus security notifications all over your work windows every time you log on into system. Everything is done to make you be sure that Site Villain is that security software you were looking for. Do not ever trust Site Villain’s scan results and ignore all pop-ups because it is nothing more but simple scam. The last very important note about Site Villain is that after some time it will download the Trojans on your computer and of course you are not going to find out about it. That would be the time when all your real troubles begin. That is why it has been highly recommended to remove Site Villain from your machines immediately using SpywareDoctor.

SecureKeeper is unwanted application which work is based on tricking users and makes them spend their money on worthless products. It is classified as rogue antispyware application because it is pushed by the use of Trojans. This badware uses fake system scans to make users to be afraid about their machine. Basically it pretends to be keeping your system in safe, but at the same time it does nothing good for the entire Operating system. First thing this rogue antispyware will do is to run system scan and will state that your PC is infected with numerous viruses, worms and other malicious files. All these threats cannot be removed without special license which can be purchased and downloaded from the official website SecureKeeper will inform you about. Do not lose your mind and start purchase that license, because for around 50$ you are going to get nothing more, but absolutely unprofitable product. Moreover, SecureKeeper is not going to stop that easy. Despite fake system scans this malicious software will also use annoying pop-ups and bogus notifications in its nasty work. All these alerts like scan results are just a simple scam, and can be easily ignored. We advise you to get rid of SecureKeeper as soon as it is possible, until it will destroy your machine and you will lose all your private documents and important files stored down on your computer. Unfortunately Control Center is new rogue (commonly known as fake) antispyware application that has been created by the same hackers produced Safety Center and Privacy Center. Though it is brand new, the creators were not that imaginative and kept the same specific strategy for this badware as well. How does Control Center worm into our computers? Every time you visit different misleading websites or upgrade video codec to watch online movies you can be easily caught by this malicious badware. Without your consent the Trojan will install Control Center on your computer.
Think identity theft or fraud can’t happen to you? Think again. Scamming for information is no

Think identity theft or fraud can’t happen to you? Think again. Scamming for information is nothing new, but the Web provides a fresh means of fraud. The result: identity theft is a fast-growing, serious offense and it could affect you.

Identity theft tops the list of all fraud complaints received by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Consumers reported fraud losses totaling over $1.2 billion U.S., according to the FTC’s annual Consumer Fraud and Identity Theft Complaint Data report. And that means protecting private information is a top priority for anyone who relies on the Internet for communicating personal or financial data.

How exactly does it work? When a criminal gathers enough personally identifiable information about you, that person can take over your identity to commit a range of crimes for their own personal gain.

A variety of techniques – including old-fashioned thievery and cyber scams – can be used to get past your defenses. According to ID Theft Protect’s website, a leading resource for consumers on identity fraud, identity theft, and data privacy, the five most popular methods of identity fraud and theft are:

Application fraud: using stolen or counterfeit documents to open an account in your name.

Account ID take-over: using your personal information to take over your bank or credit accounts.

Mail non-receipt card fraud: stealing new or replaced bank and credit cards as they are in the process of being mailed to you by your card company.

Phishing e-mail fraud: posing as a legitimate institution in order to capture personal or financial information by e-mail.

Pharming fraud: redirecting you to a bogus website in order to capture credentials, like your online banking username and password.

While there may not be one foolproof way to protect your private information from these theft attempts, there are precautions you can, and should, be practicing. Below are basic guidelines we have compiled to help you reduce the risk of identity theft, whether you are online or offline.

Monitor your credit closely. Your credit report contains information about your credit accounts and bill paying history so you can be tipped off when someone is impersonating you. Watch for suspicious signs, like accounts you did not open.

Keep records of your financial data and transactions. Review your statements regularly for any activity or charges you did not make.

Install security software (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware software) and keep it up-to-date as a safety measure against online intrusions.

Use an updated Web browser to make sure you’re taking advantage of its current safety features. Consider using an alternate browser (like Firefox or Opera) which may lower your risk of malware attacks.

Be wary of e-mail attachments and links in both e-mail and instant messages. Use caution even when the message appears to come from a safe sender, as identity information in messages can easily be spoofed.

Store sensitive data securely. Just as you keep sensitive paper documents under lock and key, secure sensitive online information. This can be done through file encryption software.

Shred documents (both paper and electronic) that contain personal or financial information before discarding them. This prevents dumpster diving and, in the online world, the ability for hackers to bypass information that has not been permanently deleted from your computer.

Protect your PII. Be cautious about giving out your personally identifiable information (PII) to anyone. Find out why the information is needed, and if it’s absolutely necessary to give out. Be careful about the details you provide about yourself online, such as on social networking sites.

Stay alert to the latest scams. Awareness and caution are effective methods to counter fraud. Share security tips you learn with friends and family.

There are a number of other online resources with more information on how to protect your identity, as well as actions to take if you think your private information has been compromised. Take a look at the practical tips and resources available at fraud prevention websites, like the U.S. federal government’s OnGuardOnline.gov and the non-profit organization Identity Theft Resource Center.

System Veteran is the newest rogue antivirus application that was made in order to trick users into spending their money for absolutely worthless products. This badware is a member of WiniSoft Family that always surprises us with variety of its helpless products. System Veteran is pushed through the usage of Trojan viruses that is why it is extremely dangerous to keep it being stored down on our machines. While active, it will run fake scan of the whole system. Without doubts all the results of such scans must be ignored as all those threats are false, and those files were created by System Veteran itself in order to make you feel scare about your computer safety and trust System Veteran as the only protection. That is the way System Veteran tricks users into buying its license, either way they will not be able to fight those malicious files. Moreover, this badware will also display tons of pop-ups or notifications stating about your computer is in danger without purchased license, or that you need one more system scan. You may absolutely composedly ignore them, because this all is just scam. Interesting fact about System Veteran is that this rogue antispyware application will modify Windows Security Center in such way, that it will also inform you about the importance of System Veteran activation. System Veteran even blocks system tools, and entering security websites in order not to be detected. All in all, System Veteran is a misleading badware that does nothing good for your computer and its protection, so be careful and get rid of System Veteran immediately using SpywareDoctor + antivirus .

AntiAID (sometimes called Anti AID) is the newest member of Wini Soft Family of rogues. The most famous of its members are Trust Cop, Soft Veteran, Soft Cop and many others. The hackers who produced this badware had changed its interface, but the strategy and manners of working are still the same. AntiAID is wormint into your system by using different malicious pop-ups or video codec updates, and everything is promoted by Trojan applications. While being installing on your PC, AntiAID will also create numerous files under different names in order to present them as threats after scanning your system. This is made to influence you to trust AntiAID and purchase its products. Unfortunately, this badware will never help you, because it is created by hackers, which means that you are not going to have any profits from its using. Moreover, if you didn’t purchase the license, AntiAID will shower annoying pop-ups with the reminding of license importance, either way you will not be able to fight those threats with AntiAID. Actually, you will not lose a lot, if you are not able to use AntiAID. Moreover, it will be even better for you, because AntiAID is doing everything, but protecting your system and your private documents. The last, but not least: if you keep AntiAID on your computer for a while, it will download Trojan virus without your concern and that is the time when real troubles begin. Be aware of using AntiAID and it has been highly recommended to get rid of this rogue malware as soon as possible using SpywareDoctor + antivirus.

One of the most popular applications for cam sessions (CamFrog) is now abused for distribution of malicious software. The site below will appear if the victim visits camsjungle.XXX. The domain is more or less a clone of the real site camfrog.com

The cybercriminals have planted a fake version of CamFrog (CamFrogSetup.exe) on the server. The application looks like this:

When the victim executes the fake application, a new malicious file will be downloaded. The file is a Win32.TrojanDowloader.VB and will run in the background without users consent, connecting to suspicious servers. Ad-Aware’s GenoType scanner will detect the malicious file as Win32.TrojanDowloader.VB/S.
