Yakuza Alley is a place to post and download J-Urban music that was created by twilalunesta. J-Urban means Japanese Urban music. J-Urban consists of Japanese R&B(J-R&B), Japanese Hip-hop/Rap(J-Hip-hop/J-Rap), Reggae(J-Reggae), and urbanized Japanese Pop(J-Pop). We also accept and will occasionally post K-Urban, C-Urban, and other Asian urban music.

While not technically criminal in nature, New York Child Protective Service investigations often accompany criminal charges for Assault and/or Endangering the Welfare of a Child. In addition, these child abuse and neglect investigations can lead to New York Family Court actions. Did you know that just the slightest mark, scratch, bump or bruise on your child can trigger a most intrusive, terrifying and humiliating investigation of your parenting ability. This article will give you a very general introduction into the intended purpose of Child Protective Services in New York State.

The New York State Legislature has determined that maltreated children within the State are in urgent need of child protective services. The Legislature therefore developed laws to encourage, and even require, the reporting of suspected child abuse and maltreatment. Each county has a child protective service charged with “swiftly” investigating reports of abuse and/or maltreatment. Such investigations are supposed to be swift and competent and capable of preventing further harm to the child. Rehabilitative services are to be provided for the child as well as the parents involved. [See NY Social Services Law sec. 411]

In theory the purpose of child protective services sounds wonderful. In reality, these agencies routinely and needlessly invade the lives of decent families, accuse decent parents of baseless charges of abuse and/or neglect, impose their own beliefs as to what is proper parenting and operate with a total disregard of the constitutional rights of the parents and children. The American Family Rights Association maintains a website replete with horror stories involving CPS throughout the country. The America Family Rights Association website also lists Tilem & Campbell as one of “AFRA’s Lawyer Friends” because of our work in this legal area.

If Child Protective Services contacts you, you should speak with an experienced and knowledgeable attorney. You have rights. Learn your rights from an attorney that cares about you. These so-called “investigators” sent by Child Protective Services will many times trample your rights, lie to you and threaten you. Know your rights; protect your family. Designs wie das Ninetonine Deskhouse sind einfach hinreißend.

Es gibt dort auch eine Menge schöner, erwachsenerer Designs, wie etwa der AFRA desk, der fast schon der Feder von Jasper Morrison entsprungen sein könnte.

Einige dieser Sachen sind für eure Kinder definitiv einen zweiten Blick wert.

Und wenn ihr es lieber etwas klassischer mögt – vergesst nicht iglooplay. Wir haben sie auf der ICFF in New York gesehen und waren sehr beeindruckt.

Name of the Day: Apphia

If you’re combing the Good Book for lesser-known names, here’s one that just might work.

Thanks to Julie for suggesting Apphia as Name of the Day.

Apphia surfaces in colonial America, along with many a lesser-known Biblical appellation. While she never cracked the US Top 1000, remember that list started at the tail end of the nineteenth century. Based on her frequency in census records, she may well have charted if the list were around a century earlier.

There are two competing pronunciations – AP fee uh or AH fee uh. I’m not sure which would’ve been in vogue amongst Puritan parents, but the latter – AH fee uh – seems more likely to catch on circa 2009.

Of course, that assumes that Apphia would catch on at all. Like Lois, she’s a New Testament figure. It’s really the Old Testament choices (think Rachel and Hannah) that have captured parents’ imaginations in recent years.

It doesn’t help that Apphia’s mention is exceedingly brief. She was among the evangelists preaching to the town of Colossae. Their leader, Saint Philemon, is far better known. (You can find Saint Paul’s letter to the Colossians in your Bible today. It was addressed to Philemon, Apphia and Archippus.)

Some have assumed that Apphia was Philemon’s wife, but that’s not certain. The story goes that Philemon and Apphia eventually met their deaths as martyrs at the hands of a rock-throwing mob sometime in the first century. She’s not traditionally listed as a saint in the Roman Catholic church, but she appears right alongside Saint Philemon in Orthodox churches.

There are also brief mentions in the Bible of the male name Aphiah, and the Appian Way owes its name to Roman official Appius Claudius Caecus. There’s also feminine name Aphra or Afra, from a Hebrew name of debated meaning. But none of the these appear to be related. Instead, Apphia is usually listed as a Hebrew name meaning bountiful.

At first glance, Apphia is quite close to aphid – a type of ravenous insect known for infesting plants. That’s certainly a strike against the name. And there’s no obvious diminutive, save possibly the French-fried Fifi – but if you’re the type to choose an old school, New Testament name, odds are that Fifi isn’t your cup of tea.

Then there’s the Inuit Apphia Awa. Born in 1931, she told her family’s story to a researcher in the 1990s, and the resulting book – Saqiyuq – was well received. It’s an obscure reference – unless it becomes a big screen biopic starring Angelina Jolie.

Overall, Apphia seems like the kind of rarity that could be revived with a minimum of effort. Attributing a name to the Bible gives it quite a bit of credibility – never mind that we don’t know a thing about her.

She shares sounds with current favorites from Sophia to Arianna, Aaliyah to Fiona.

If modern parents can embrace Pilgrim-approved monikers like Mercy, why not Apphia? She’s a daring ancient revival choice, but comfortably on the right side of wearable.

Beatrice Acheleke Honored with The 2009 World Diversity Leadership Summit “Freedom and Justice” Award

Beatrice Acheleke, founder and leader of the Black European Women’s Council was honored at the 2009 World Diversity Leadership Summit this month in Washington, DC. Ms. Acheleke is a mother, executive director of AFRA, a non-profit, non governmental self-organisation and NGO of Black Women with headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and an inspiration to Black women everywhere.

Previous honorees include Vaclav Havel, former President of the Czech Republic and leader of the Czech Velvet Revolution against Communist Rule.

The World Diversity Leadership Summit conference is the world’s leading gathering of senior corporate executives, leading experts and policymakers focused on global and local diversity best practices. Conference partners included some of the largest and most respected companies and media outlets n the world.

Origin: Latin/German
Meaning: “African.”
(AHF-rah).

This exotic two syllable name is most notably attributed to a 4th-century German saint. According to legend, Afra was a Cypriot princess who somehow ended up in Augsburg Germany. There she worked as a high paying prostitute. Afra was later converted to Christianity by a visiting bishop. When the Roman authorities were executing Christians, Afra hid the bishop in her home. However, Afra was caught and burnt at the stake, along with her former co-workers, Ligna, Eunonia and Eutropia, which are three other obscure name worth noting. The name has been in usage in Germany for quite awhile, especially in the Catholic regions such as Bavaria. St. Afra’s relics are still kept in St. Ulrich’s and St. Afra’s Abbey in Augsburg. In 1298, a small town in Germany was named for the saint, known as Tafferot, its coat of arms depicts a woman amidst burning embers. Nameday is August 7th.

During adidas Originals’ recent house party campaign, the event brought together a number of notable adidas-affiliated personalities. Among the attendees to various parties held around the world were athletes, musicians and notable contributors. One of Hip-Hop’s most important pioneers in DMC of Run DMC fame (and recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee) teamed up together with Japanese beatboxer Afra in a very special rendition of Run DMC’s infamous track, “My adidas”.

Description

Amateur de petits M’bunas, j’apprécie particulièrement outre le genre Labidochromis le genre Cynotilapia composé également de petites espèces toutes originaires du lac Malawi pouvant être maintenues avec bon nombre d’autres cichlidés de ce lac.

A l’état sauvage C.axelrodi se rencontre de Lion’s Cove à Mundola Point. Au début de sa commercialisation il était exporté comme Ps. “Kingsizei” qui en fait est une autre espèce. Du point de vue anatomique on distingue les Cynotilapia des Pseudotropheus par leurs dents unicuspides (leur similitude avec les dents du chien est à l’origine du nom de genre). Il fréquente les habitats rocheux riches en sédiments et consomme du plancton. Correctement nourris de crevettes, épinards, moules, paillettes, granulés, ils ne tardèrent pas à frayer dans une eau à 25°C et au pH de 7,9.

Il fait parti des Mbunas, il sera donc maintenu avec d’autres Mbunas. Avec des espèces calmes (Labido caerulus…) il pourra être maintenu dans 240l.

Toujours p^révoir au moins 2 femelles pour un mâle. Une maintenance en groupe es très interessante aussi.

Comportement

Comportement assez débonnaire. A noter: il vaut mieux éviter dans des bacs de taille moyenne (moins de 300l )la cohabitation avec les m’bunas les plus grands ou les plus “teigneux” de même qu’avec d’autres Cynotilapia pour éviter tout risque d’hybridation.

Il est très territorial, il lui fait donc un bac très charger en pierres est donc en cachettes pour les femelles en incubation ou dominées.

Reproduction

La femelle s’isole pendant trois semaines parmi les nombreuses roches, elle ne s’alimente donc pas durant cette période. Lors des pontes, il y a jusqu’à 30 alevins de 8 mm à 1,5cm. Malgré leur petite taille les jeunes sont très débrouillards et plusieurs d’entre eux arrivent à poursuivre leur croissance dans le bac d’ensemble. Ils ressemblent très vite à des femelles miniatures de couleur bleutée. Il ne prendront leur couleurs définitive qu’à 3 ou 4 cm.

Les jeunes commencent à se colorer très vite dès deux-trois centimètres.

As it’s been broadcasted quite frequently in the Netherlands the past week, I’m pretty sure some of you already have seen adidas’ new commercial. First thought that came to my mind is that they have put down a whole lot of money to create this star studded commercial. The following incredible list of celebrities are in the featured: Katy Perry, Estelle, Young Jeezy, the Ting Tings, DMC-Daryl McDaniels, Method Man, Redman, Afra, Ryukyudisko, Russell Simmons and Missy Elliott, athletes Kevin Garnett, David Beckham, Ilie Nastase and Mark Gonzales, and designers Kazuki and Jeremy Scott.

The commercial is part of the largest global brand campaign they have done – ever! 60 years after Adi Dassler registered the iconic 3-Stripes mark, adidas Originals is promoted under the banner of Celebrate Originality. “The campaign is set against the backdrop of a house party hosting an eclectic mix of people from the worlds of music, fashion and sport.” Hermann Deininger, CMO adidas Sport Style Division: “This is a campaign that celebrates all of them and offers an open invitation to consumers to come and join in.” For me they succeeded because the following video is a party I definitly would have wanted to be at!

The “house party” was directed by Nima Nourizadeh and features the track Beggin’ remixed by Pilooski.

As all of you know who are listed above in this e-mail, we have written to you
several times establishing the facts of our case to you online and offline.

We have contacted Baroness Philippine Pascale de Rothschild directly regarding
our belief that the Rothschild Family is at the helm of this matter, and have
sent her our previous e-mail that we e-mailed all of you entitled “Proof of
Abduction”, and she has not rebutted any of our allegations that are in the
letter.

Under normal circumstances, when a calamity occurs of any significance to the
area in which it occurred, people of the greatest wealth and influence who are
not in favor of it make some type of comment or express sympathy.

However, Baroness Rothschild (along with other wealthy counterparts made aware
of Opus One’s alleged involvement by e-mail) has kept her silence even after
being contacted directly.

By this action, the only explanation we find for this behavior is that the
Rothschild family has a personal interest in our son.

We are still requesting to see our Son.

Though we should not have to speak to you as children, it has apparently become
necessary to do so. Therefore, here are the obvious facts:

By us contacting you as a group and by all of you being silent as a group,
you are showing clearly, beyond the shadow of any doubt, that this is a
conspiracy.

If you were not acting as a unit, any one of you an independent agent would
have responded in some way.

We await your response within 48 hours of this e-mail, after which time you
prove that you are in agreement with this statement and that you are in
conspiracy with one another.
