I found this video on youtube which basically shows exactly what I want to create for the beginning

I found this video on youtube which basically shows exactly what I want to create for the beginning piece of my after effects project. This is the trapcode stroke plugin, which creates the light streak. This plugin has a 3D mode which creates the illusion that the light is traveling in a 3D environment.

I like the way the light streak stops and then text appears. This is very much like what I’m going to do because the light will stop at certain points and then an image will appear which represents a problem or struggle that I have a night. This video will give me something to aim for when I’m producing my own light streak scene.

No After Effects o processo também é simples.

I have done some more adjusting to the shot of the tunnel that I’m going to use for my After Effects project. I’ve now altered the colour to blue so the bright yellow light at the end stands out more. I also had a go at changing the size of the light rays and key framing the change so they would animate. I might need to make the size changes of the light rays much bigger so the animation is more noticeable.

So have my final eSeminar for the year this Friday. We will be covering working with footage from the RED Digital Cinema System.

Learn how you can hire a RED camera for less than most pro video cameras a day, and shoot up to 4K feature film quality and then edit that footage natively in Premiere Pro CS4, grade in After Effects and then produce a BluRay DVD of the project, all native, all realtime. Its pretty cool stuff actually.

As always the sessions are free, just need to register here, we will be live as 12:00 Melburne time this Friday.

I did some more work on my tunnel scene for my animation. I’m trying to create a spiritual loo

I did some more work on my tunnel scene for my animation. I’m trying to create a spiritual look to this shot. This is to represent the pathway to the light of positive energy, which reflects my negative perception of tinnitus being transformed into a positive perception where I have habituated to the condition.

Here is an updated version of the tunnel shot.

The next stage will possibly be altering some of the colours by maybe adding a tint of blue to the scene because its a calming colour. I’d also like to add some movement to the light at then end of the tunnel and maybe have the rays become bigger and brighter which could wash out the scene to end the animation.

This week I try out some compositing techniques. There’s a lot you can do to boost the atmosphere of a scene by compositing. I think the best compositing is achieved when you don’t really notice it – compositing used as ambience.

This…

Plus…

Equals…

Used a bunch of matte techniques to get the “God Ray’s” to shine through the windows. Rotoscoping the windows and a few blurs for the sun shining through them. And of course color correction to tighten up the overall scene.

Check out the video with a before and after.

This is one of the coolest commercials ever made. Yours truly, and two others from Team Legend, Thiago Levy and Eden Obando, put this together, called Bubbaloo Salmon. Our inspiration was crazy japanese commercials and culture(obviously). Tasty enough for you?

These’s are the shots I worked on:

I modeled, textured, and animated this panda:

I took some photos of a tunnel at Bournemouth train station. I was planning to have a shot of a tunn

I took some photos of a tunnel at Bournemouth train station. I was planning to have a shot of a tunnel at the end of my animation to represent, habituation, which is the breaking of the cycle of tinnitus. I went into photoshop and created layers for the walls and the pathway. Then I imported the photoshop file into After Effects and created a 3D environment so I could use the camera tool. I then moved the camera forwards to create the illusion of someone walking through the tunnel.

Here is a practice piece of the animation.

I will be adding special effects to the tunnel shot. I’m not quite sure how I exactly want it to look yet, but once I’ve tried out a few effects I should have some idea.
