Amy Winehouse must have a hot date coming up. She splurged thousands of pounds on saucy underwear, perfume and a kinky diamante-encrusted whip at the weekend.

I’d like to say someone’s in for a treat, but if her scumbag ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is to be believed, the clobber bought at Agent Provocateur in London could be to celebrate them getting engaged again.

A source said: “Amy loves showing off her new boobs and wanted to get sexy underwear to make the most of them. She couldn’t resist getting a few other bits and pieces, like the whip.”

I bet Amy’s dad Mitch will find a use for the whip when he gets his hands on Blake.

The new Kate Moss is Brazilian.  The first time I spotted her was in Nylon’s October 2007 issue, featured as a rising star.  Alice Dellal’s wild hair cut and foreign features caught my eye.  I also noticed Dellal was not as leggy as the average editorial model.  Still, the camera captured a strong presence and spirit.

I came across Dellal again in this month’s British Vogue. She has graced the pages of other magazines including Dazed & Confused, French Vogue, and L’Officiel. At only 5′5”, the Brazilian rebel has been deemed the new Kate Moss.   This title is fitting as Dellal has been seen out on the town with questionable company partaking in questionable activities not unlike Moss did in her youth.  Last year she replaced Moss as the new face of Agent Provocateur. Dellal’s style is also similar to the 90’s grunge of Kate Moss.  She champions cut off denim, floral minidresses, and chunky shoes.

Dellal is currently London’s it girl.  The boss of Britain’s fashion scene, i-D magazine, has shot 12 different covers, each featuring one of the “Best British Models.”  Dellal will make her official British debut with her cover.  The 12 models also include legends Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Twiggy as well as newcomers Agyness Deynand Jourdan Dunn.

Dellal was famous before she was famous.  Her mother is Brazilian model Andrea Dellal and her father is a millionaire and bodyguard to the stars.  Her friends include Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe, two of my favorite British models/socialites.  The three recently left Select Model Management to sign with Next.  It’s rumored Select was not a fan of the girls’ hard partying. But girls will be girls.  One of the biggest perks of fashion modeling is the social scene.

What I love most about this girl is her personal style.  The way people dress in their down time speaks mountains about a person.  Dellal pulls off the fierce haircut, combat boots, and leather details on the daily.  “I like my style. If people don’t like my hair, then they don’t have to book me,”  Dellal said on Vogue.com.  But it looks like that hair cut will be landing her a cover sometime soon.

After the great first edition of the She thinks/ He thinks series of posts…here is the much awaited second one – the Lingerie special! What are we waiting for, lets get started:

She Thinks: very cute, very sexy, love the lace frills, probably need more of a push up on the top though! But black is always slimming so that’s good.

He Thinks: Very feminine, cute, not that sexy but yeah sure why not?

She Thinks: Too cutesy, will make my boobies look flat/ droopy/ saggy – definitely need something more pushy-up…

He Thinks: Very flirty, love the sheer see-through, no fake push-up, looks easy to take off…definitely a good choice! Those red lips on the model are hot too – wouldn’t mind that added in either.

She Thinks: Ooooh love it! Supports the top and the ruffles help me feel comfortable and not self-conscious – animal print is always hot too! Hope there’s ruffled knickers to match!

He Thinks: Too much fabric involved, doesn’t show enough body, all those frilly bits are very unsexy and animal?! What’s wrong with plain red or black?

Katsui graduated from Central Saint Martins College after studying at Parsons The New School for Design. Yagi graduated from Doshisha University and Central Saint Martins College.
The brand, mintdesigns was launched in 2001. They have been in Tokyo Collection since ‘03 S/S. The awards they won include the Moet et Chandon New Designer’s Award in 2005. In 2007, mintdesigns garage store opened in Shibuya PARCO. They presented their collection in the 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT THIS PLAY! show. In 2008, they presented the opening show at São Paulo Fashion Week for ‘09 S/S. Both designers currently hold positions as guest professors at the Faculty of Art and Design at Osaka Seikei University. In 2009 they presented their collection at the Milano Salone TOKYO FIBER ‘09.Mint Designs turned out a dainty crop of dresses featuring details such as shimmery stripes, textured fabric and quirky graphics. One frock featured a darling print of tiny Charlie Chaplins, while another showcased circular cutouts along the sides.

Yes, yes… I know it is nothing new to see corsets and bras (“No daddy, It’s not a bra! It’s a bustier!”, Selena) worn as a statement piece. But what about stay ups?

Most women recognize these snazzy stockings as a sexy addition to a bra and pantie set. Well ladies it’s time for them to make their debut straight from the bedroom to a club near you.

Searching for that heart of gold translates well to the search for that special perfume. Maybe, just maybe, that special perfume will help to bring that heart of gold! Or maybe I am just dreamin’. At any rate, I have sampled two more perfumes, the first being Narciso Rodriguez For Her. And to think, I never thought I’d meet a musk I didn’t like! For this is essentially a musk, which breaks down simply: floral top notes, middle notes of amber, and a woody base. I appreciate the simplicity, and I think I know where they were going with this one, but for me, it just misses the mark. In spite of what were no doubt best intentions, this perfume smells like chemicals. Musky chemicals, but chemicals nonetheless. I would never wear this perfume. The second perfume I would never wear either, but for totally different reasons. It’s Agent Provocateur. I first got a sample of it because I LOVE the bottle, which is so stunningly simple. This perfume is a floral chypre, and it is big, brash, and rosy. This is an insanely sexy perfume, wanton and unabashed. I am not absolutely in love with its heady rosy heart, but I appreciate its pale woody base of oak moss, sandalwood, and maybe ambergris. These are the notes that qualify Agent Provocateur for the category of chypre. I just wish it didn’t take so long to get there, as first one must first brave the all-engulfing floral notes. Once you get to the base notes, it is really a great perfume. The reason I won’t wear it, however, is just because I don’t think I can pull it off. It is so unapologetically sexy, so bold and heady. Maybe if I were to wear the lingerie by Agent Provocateur…but what is the point, really? I am, after all, still searching for that heart of gold.

I’m doing some reaserch for this small project that me and my bestfriend’s doing. Its going to be a cross-breed of something that’s sortov intimate but outdoorsy. Well i cant really say much about it, but look what i found at Agent Provocateur.

While my bestie was up our anthem was definitely Bad Romance by Lady Gaga.  We seriously danced around to it at least once a day during the week-long visit!  (I’m a bit of a fangirl and I don’t care.)  Now that the video is out I am thrilled!  (side note:  That last shot in the video?!  Seriously, I die.)

I am IN LOVE with the Agent Provocateur black Love Demi Bra and Briefs she rocks in the video.

Not to mention pieces from Alexander McQueen’s amazing Spring 2010 collection.

I was also interested to find out that the over-the-top polar bear coat she dons later in the video is by New York-based designer Benjamin Cho. Originally created for his Spring 2004 runway show with the Human Society, the completely faux-fur coat was “reworked” just for Gaga’s video…  Gorgeous!

About 5 weeks ago, I mentioned that during the Alexander McQueen ss2010 paris fashion week show, Plato’s Atlantis spring/summer-2010, Lady Gaga performed her spanking new track, ‘Bad Romance’, and now it seems Gaga’s new BFF has returned the favour.

Gaga’s super slick, fash-tastic video is clinical cool and shows that Lady Gaga is becoming THE fashion icon/popstar. I think I counted about 6 items from the Alexander McQueen ss2010 range, including 3 pairs of killer heels (literally – think they could fatally wound someone!), the gold dress seen above and the sea urchin inspired dress/leggings/shoe combo below. I think Gaga and McQueen make a fantastic pairing; both are weirdly beautiful, push boundaries, and are compulsive and addictive to look at!

Gaga is also seen in Agent Provocateur undies in the video (actually she spends a lot of the video in her bra and panties – including a a cone bra that shoots sparks!), but why the hell not! She looks great, I love the more natural make-up and softer look in the video, and this girl clearly doesn’t have many body hang ups!

Another look that Gaga and her groupies rock in the fashion music video is red lace catsuits which I love! The look reminds me of this seasons LNA, so if you want to ease yourself into the Gaga ‘Bad Romance’ look or can’t afford McQueen, LNA lace maybe the place to start!

Daisy Lowe is the new face of Louis Vuitton

Daisy Lowe has been unveiled as the new face of Louis Vuitton.

The gorgeous 20-year-old will front the designers Spring/ Summer 2010 campaign alongside Lara Stone.

It’s been quite a year for Daisy, who has fronted the DKNY jeans campaign along with high profile shoots for Agent Provocateur, Pringle, Burberry and, erm…Peacocks!

Daisy’s agent said: “Daisy attended the Louis Vuitton show in Paris and wears their clothes, so she’s thrilled about being booked for this job. It’s a fantastic brand for her to be working for and she’s pleased to be flying the British flag for such a worldwide label.”

The model will be spending the weekend in Miami where she is due to shoot the label’s Beachwear line.

It’s always possible that an idea may have been had by someone else previously.  Does it mean that the idea shouldn’t be brought to life again?  Replication is sometimes said to be a sincere form of flattery, but pure copying without thought is plain lazy.

Classic designs and ideas that stand the test of time must have done so because….. well, they’re classic, they still manage to add something positive to society.  Sometimes a little tweak is needed for the current environment to suit the latest desires, needs, trends and fashion, but isn’t it beautiful that we can learn and take inspiration from history and make it ours for our time.  Now let’s go forth and get something good into the back of our trunks…

P.S. Yes this probably was a thinly disguised excuse to post some images of Bettie Page and Dita Von Tesse, don’t like it?  Well then just whip me.

Kiki de Montparnasse is one of those one-stop shops for all your boudoir needs, and frankly I don’t think there are too many of those about. Sure, there’s your Agent Provocateur, Myla and Coco de Mer, but is that really enough, I ask you? KdM serves up not only seriously sexy lingerie, but also throws in some candles, bedding, accessories (I’m loving the suspender tank top)  and “instruments of pleasure” in one slick, elegant and girlie package. With boutiques in NY and LA, and concessions in Selfridges, Liberty, 10 Corso Como etc, there is no excuse for not having a proper boudoir any more. Plus, next season is all about underwear as outerwear so get with the programme!
