Just yesterday, I received another reminder that I am aging – and fast! I don’t feel a bit over 30,

Just yesterday, I received another reminder that I am aging – and fast! I don’t feel a bit over 30, but my body is giving out signs all over the place warning “Detour ~ Icy Roads Ahead!” My orthopedist gingerly described the condition of my swollen hand yesterday like this: “When you have “seen a few days”, the veins on the back of your hands are more fragile.” Seen a few days? More fragile veins? I pictured my grandma when she was 97 years old, with bruises all over her arms and hands! No sir, this is not for me in the prime of my middle aged youth! Ha!

On my first day back working in the hospital after an 18 year “rest”, I was amazed to see many of the nurses I had worked with still there…..looking very, very WRINKLED!! Smugly, I said to myself, “It’s sad that they look so old”, thinking that I must not look a day over thirty! I was shocked back to the reality of the cold, hard truth – I was right there with them! Arriving in the cafeteria, another nurse and I met someone from my past, and the two of them began talking. When I joined in the conversation, she looked at me in utter amazement and said “Candy, I didn’t know it was you until I heard your voice!” Thank you very much! Have aged beyond all physical recognition from anyone in my past? It was time to reinvent myself, starting with my skin! Here are some tidbits from what I have gathered during my “pull yourself together” intervention!

While heredity plays an important part, there is PLENTY we can do to protect and preserve our skin! The first step is to understand what our skin is made up of, and the best way to nourish it for a long and healthy life!

Skin is the largest organ in the body, (YES! It is an organ!) measuring about 12-21 square feet. That’s a lot of skin! It is like an envelope that protects everything inside, working to maintain our body’s temperature, providing resistance to the “germy” world, consisting of skin cells, nerve endings, blood vessels, oil glands, and hair follicles. Collagen and elastin offer support within our skin, giving it flexibility, suppleness and the firmness to hold its shape when we move. Skin holds everything together in a nice, tidy package that makes up our body. Most importantly, our facial skin moves to form the expressions that make up our unique character and communicate emotions to the world around us, forming our identity. Yep, skin is important!!

There are two ways our skin ages ~ internally (intrinsic aging) and externally (extrinsic aging). Let’s look at how we age from the inside first!

Internal aging is the result of changes in how our skin functions and looks like over time. As nature takes its course over the years, our bodies experience hormone fluctuations, slowing metabolism (I’ve had this since 3rd grade!), and shortened cell life. Collagen production decreases and elastin loses its spring, resulting in less skin fullness, with skin that sags and wrinkles easily. Moisture loss occurs naturally, and our skin becomes thinner, drier and less capable of healing itself. Dead skin cells do not shed as quickly, and the turnover rate of new cells begins to slow. Dry, flakey skin is a result of changes in levels of hormones that reduce the amount of natural oils produced.

Picture three different rubber bands: one-inch, half-inch and a quarter-inch wide. When we try to stretch the thickest one, it is difficult to expand and pops right back into shape with a snap! The half-inch rubber band is a bit easier to stretch, being a little less springy when let go. The quarter-inch band is much easier to expand, and goes back to its original shape without much snap. The thickest rubber band resembles our skin when we are younger, springy with lots flexibility! The other two show how our skin responds as we age, losing much of our elasticity.

External aging is responsible for about 90% of the aging that we actually see. This type of aging results from exposure to the sun, pollution, smoking, poor nutrition, stress and gravity. We see it in age spots, blotchy pigmentation, fine and deep wrinkles and a rough, leathery skin appearance. Heard of oxidative stress? Oxygen has a deteriorating affect on our skin, similar to what rust does to steel, accelerating the aging process.

Today, we CAN age more gracefully by caring for our skin, inside and out, avoiding all the harmful factors. Protecting and encouraging skin cell growth with specific essential ingredients to prolong the life of every skin cell is of utmost importance. Feeding and nourishing the deepest layers of cells (our grapes!) will promote the long and healthy skin cell life, fighting the existing damage and reducing the visible signs of aging. It is essential that you are protected from the 4 Core Influences of Aging with:

- ANTIOXIDANTS (reduces the effects of Oxidative Stress)

- ENDOCRINE SYSTEM MODULATORS (mediate hormone fluctuations)

- ENERGY ACTIVATORS (help promote Mitochondrial and Metabolic Efficiency – Mitochondria are the power house of the cell – gives energy to all cell functions)

- LONGEVITY GENE SUPPORTERS (extending the life of healthy cells- living longer, healthier, preventing cell changes into diseases)

This morning three birthday cards caught my attention in a store: “I bow to your oldness,

This morning three birthday cards caught my attention in a store: “I bow to your oldness,” “Annually Challenged,” and “Dangerously close to being Old.” I thought of sending one of them to my elderly mother, but thought the humor might pass her by and my birthday might provoke a similar card. In looking at the cards, I was reminded of how much youth and newness are valued in American society. Babies are generally regarded as being cuter than ninety year-0lds. Wrinkes are not sought for their asthetic qualities. In the European States of Greece and Italy, it is not unusual in the culture for older men to fancy younger women. In many of the American States, people like to tear down old buildings in order to build new ones. I myself much prefer new to old buildings. What if we could pause our lives for, say, two hundred years, and thus be able to continue on in a world in which everything would seem new to us? What if the problem of aging, and mortality itself, could be solved?

Last night, David Letterman was making some pretty funny cryogenic jokes, such as in visualizing grandpa’s frozen head being used to cool the punch in a bowl. Letterman’s own head could roll, given his recent revelation that he has been sleeping with members of his staff. According to NOW (the national organization of women), the controversy has “raised serious issues about the abuse of power leading to an inappropriate, if not hostile, workplace environment for women and employees” (CNN, 10/7/09). Men such as Letterman make decisions on hiring and firing, who gets raises, who advances and who does entry-level tasks, NOW said. Maybe sleeping with the presumably younger women made Letterman feel younger and more alive? Although Freud theorized a death instinct, most of us want to live more than we want to die. Presumably Letterman does not want to die on the air, or deliver a dead-pan joke. So the prospect of being frozen until such a time that science has determined how to solve the little problem known as physiological mortality is…well…interesting.

What would it be like to be frozen and then “revived” in two hundred years.? Looking back…everyone alive now being then gone…and their world being “distant”. We could look back to what had been written about Barak Obama. We could meet our great, great, great grandchildren. Those of us who have penned books could see how they panned out–whether what one has written has transcended the author’s own age. This important criterion is one that must remain unanswered for any writer.

Philosphically (in the sense of French existentialism), I contrast the sense of being “instantly” revived (as though waking up the next morning without any recognition of 8 hours having past) with the alternative. I wonder also what things will be like in 200 years. Will technology continue to be the dominant element of change, as in the last century? Or will political, economic or social changes dwarf it? An age can perhaps be characterized by the element doing the most changing. Contrast the amount of technological change with that of your field during the 20th century. Or put another way, what would counseling look like were it to have changed as much as technology has changed? I think a trigger is necessary (as in an earthquake) for an element to engage in such qualitative change that can define an era, so it is perhaps impossible to predict which element will be decisive next. We tend to assume that the element dominant in change in our time will simply continue to be the salient element of change. What if the element is language, such that a global tongue emerges (not from technology)? The world would be much different even if technology remained oriented to the computer rather than “leaping” forward.

Returning now to our own day, perhaps the salience of technology as the dominant domain of change blinds us to the alternative domains that could experience expodential rates of change. What would such political change be like? Or psychological? Or even social? If these domains were to change as much as technology has changed in the twentieth century alone, what could we look for? In presuming as a default the technological nature of development, we don’t even raise these questions, let alone work on possible answers. Perhaps this new century will be different. Sadly, those of us alive now are not likely to know. However, we do have Letterman’s jokes to keep us entertained…if his head doesn’t drop off the air into the punch-bowl at a victory party at NOW headquarters.

Heat is a term used for women that explains why a woman needs a man. (It is said that men burn to h

Heat is a term used for women that explains why a woman needs a man. (It is said that men burn to have sex with a woman, and women go into heat to tempt a man into burning to have sex with them.)

Women have eggs, which when fertilized by the males’ sperm, begin the process of reproduction of a species. As in all phases of life, a woman goes through changes: her body changes when she reaches puberty; her body changes chemically after and during impregnation; and her body changes as she increases in age. Once puberty occurs in the female, she begins releasing eggs, which demands fertilization. At puberty, she will release the most number of eggs more frequently than will ever occur as she grows older. Therefore, the older a woman becomes, the frequency of eggs released diminishes and the amount of eggs diminishes also.

As the frequency and the number of eggs diminish, so does her moments of “going into heat”. In Civilization this poses a problem for a married couple, since a woman’s body shuts-down sexually much earlier than a Man’s body. No longer desiring to copulate sexually, a woman no longer needs her male mate for purposes of reproduction. Yet, the married man is still instinctively driven to reproduce long after her instinct to reproduce stop.

The woman’s state of ‘being in heat’ dictates her willingness to allow the male to mate with her. Dramatically opposing this female instinct to mate, is a woman’s natural ’state of heat’ slowing down and stopping with increased age. This occurs at different times in different women, but universally it will happen between the ages of 35 to 55. Due to mental knowledge gained and added to the brain of women, a sex stoppage may even occur in women at a much earlier age, even though they are still experiencing “being in heat”.

Another problem caused by the instinct in the female brain is instinct #2, the instinct to find food. If food is scarce, which can be caused by not earning enough money to afford sufficient food, women will cease bearing children. This is occurring in today’s females all over the world, but especially the women in the Western Hemisphere, because nations are controlling their economies to reduce the wealth of the lower and middle classes; thereby, indirectly causing women’s instincts to limit their own reproduction to one or two children and in most cases… women not wanting to reproduce any children. This phenomenon is a direct cause of divorce, family abandonment, suicide and murder. The direct cause is the male’s overpowering instinct to reproduce.

The instinct to reproduce collides head-on with the overpowering female’s newly acquired knowledge of not reproducing. The male’s reasoning concludes that his female does not love him or want him, culminating in a shut-down of his desire to reproduce with her. It doesn’t have to be verbal on the woman’s part, but can simply be communicated to the man by her wearing a patch, taking the pill, her demanding he use a condom, or causing him to pull-out. There are many other ways a man detects the unwillingness of his female to reproduce, not the least of which is seeking him for sex.

When the woman refuses to reproduce the male (copulate), it drives him to subconsciously seek other women for purposes of reproduction. Yet, in today’s world, this male is seen as and labeled a womanizer or a whoremonger, while he is actually the victim of an unscrupulous society forcing unnatural laws on him, which force him into conflict with his own built-in instincts.

To be continued…

In a world of unrest, turmoil, and confusion we can take heart in the character of the G-d we serve.

In a world of unrest, turmoil, and confusion we can take heart in the character of the G-d we serve.

Notice James 1:17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

G-d’s character is defined as giving, and we know that it is not us or our efforts that bless us; it is the Creator’s generosity.

Second on the list is G-d’s permanent attribute, stability. In Him there is no variableness and He does not turn off the beaten path. Unlike the inconsistencies that plague us in our walk with G-d the Creator is not only a gift giver, but He is not affected by anything or anybody.

Malachi 3:6 tells us – “I, G-d don’t change, and neither does my eternal covenant with the sons of Jacob.” If G-d changed His mind on His thousand year covenant with the physical seed of Abraham, how much hope would we as believers have?

That consistency connects and carries on in the New Testament as Hebrews 13:8 tells us “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” He is an unchanging Savior in changing times.

There can be no greater statement about G-d’s character as the giver of perfect gifts and that same G-d being one we can completely trust.

Aging process, economy, death of loved ones, even kids moving away to college are all unavoidable changes that come to our lives, but of the joy of trusting in a G-d that doesn’t change is most reassuring, especially in times like this!

I first became aware of the relentless process of aging in an unexpected way. I was a college pastor

I first became aware of the relentless process of aging in an unexpected way. I was a college pastor, 37 years old, and a student from the campus across the street came for an appointment. She talked out her problem and we had prayer. As she got up to leave, she said with a warm smile, “Thanks very much for seeing me; I thought it would be good for me to talk to someone middle aged.”

Me, middle aged? It was a brand new and entirely unexpected thought. I pondered it for some time after she left. I’m not middle aged, I thought. I am young. Not that much different from the hundreds of students I preach to every Sunday.

But the truth slowly sank in, and since then, people here and there have managed to keep me conscious of the aging process. For example, I was holding a church conference in Western Canada when I was in my early 60s. I was crossing the conference grounds from the lodge to the meeting place, singing to myself, when I saw Maurice coming toward me. He stopped, put his hand on my forearm, and in a most solicitous voice, said something like, “At your age, you shouldn’t be walking and singing at the same time.”

Later that year my wife Kathleen and I were driving across Michigan on I-94. It was late afternoon and time to quit for the day, so I pulled into a motel and went inside. I asked the usual questions: Do you have a nonsmoking room for two? Preferably on the main floor? The man at the desk studied his charts and then, smiling as if he was going to be helpful, said, “I can give you a handicapped room. Fully equipped.” It was another jarring moment. Did I look that decrepit, I wondered.

But the coup de grace came this past week, administered by the boss of a roofing crew replacing the shingles on the house next door. I asked him to look at the roof of my house and give me his opinion. We walked together to my driveway and he stood for a few moments looking up. Then, he said pleasantly, “You won’t be around to replace those shingles.”

I’m not alone with such experiences. I was standing with the late Bishop Paul N. Ellis once when a young man asked him what it was like to be old (he was then in his 60s). He replied, “At least I’ve got there, while you aren’t sure you will.”

The young man saw the humor in the bishop’s reply, but his question did not surprise either of us. Observant seniors aplenty can tell about the subtle social changes that begin to manifest themselves as age creeps on: sales clerks may show lack of interest in giving service; con artists look on the aging as easy prey for their scams; people in a group may ignore their comments.

Growing old is not for the humorless. I’ve been collecting funny stories about aging and loss of memory for some time now. This is not politically incorrect because I’m telling stories on myself. One story my wife and I both enjoy is about the elderly couple who were driving out to meet friends for a social evening. She says to him, “Honey, you try to remember where we’re going and I’ll try to remember who we are.”

Admittedly, there is a less pleasant side to growing old. Strength begins to wane, degenerative diseases show up, floating creaks and aches become regular companions. Perhaps worst of all is the subtle anxiety, always just under the surface, about what the future will hold in this brave new world. The Psalmist’s prayer takes on new meaning for us: “Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone” (Ps. 71:9).

In my experience, that sort of response is the right one. We can allow faith to take us by one arm and hope by the other as we walk, perhaps a little less briskly than before, down this pilgrim path.

Faith says in one ear, “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you” (Rom. 8:11). That doesn’t need to apply only to our future resurrection. It can also mean that even the closing years of this mortal stage of our journey can be infused with special energy from God’s Spirit.

And hope says in the other ear, “Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory” (Rom. 5:2, NLT). If faith brings the future into the present, giving “substance to our hopes” (Heb.11:1 NEB), then hope gives the present the assurance of a glorious future.

In the meantime, the people of God — the church — can do a wonderful thing for those in their midst who are of advanced years. It can counter today’s tendency to diminish and devalue the aged. I think of this when I read one of my favorite chapters in the Old Testament at the present, Leviticus 19. It sets forth a summary of how God’s chosen people were to live out his holiness in community, and one verse says, “Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord” (Lev.19:32).

It is human nature that dictates our desire to look good, feel good and enjoy a high quality of life

It is human nature that dictates our desire to look good, feel good and enjoy a high quality of life as we age gracefully. We have seen too many seniors suffer, or be forced to manage their lives through doctor’s appointments, and know that this is neither desirable, nor an ideal strategy for our golden years. The prospect of growing and looking old is not appealing to us and so we work hard to adapt our lives to include some type of exercise, maintain a healthy, if not organic, diet and wistfully continue to search for the Holy Grail of eternal youth.

By the time we near our 50’s, this human body has already said goodbye to half our muscular strength, half of our lung capacity, and a good percentage of bone. After menopause, many women unsuccessfully battle weight gain around their waist and hips, and their risk of breast cancer increases as their hormones become confused and diminish. Men too develop a tendency to an increased girth and while we seldom hear of an increased risk of prostate or testicular cancer in young boys, it has become almost a given for the declining hormonal man.

It’s an indisputable fact of life, aging does happen. Many advancements have been made in medicine and technology which greatly contribute to an increased life expectancy which, in the western world today, is almost double that of a century ago. Many seniors are now in their 90’s and there are, in fact, over 70,000 centenarians in the U.S.A., a statistic which is expected to double in the next 5-10 years. However we need to learn, to make some changes in our lives, to do something about aging before the trouble starts.

We need to help our cells stay healthy from within. Exercise and a healthy diet are definitely a start, however our diet is becoming deficient in many essential nutrients, resulting in degenerative diseases. Even if we follow a healthy diet, our way of farming has depleted the soil of many essential minerals. Now, when we add the negative impact of increased stress levels, environmental pollution, refined sugar, trans-fats, high salt, pre-processed, fast and frozen foods, our need for supplementation has become significant.
Supplementation is a fundamental cornerstone of any effective anti-aging program. Of course, there is no single “magic bullet” supplement that can reverse or even discourage the aging process. However, we do know that combining supplements, exercise, a healthy diet and a good skin care regimen will help us feel good, look good and enjoy an a superior quality of life.

Lets face it, no one likes to look old. We want to keep that youthful look through out our life. We all want to be the youngest and the most charming person in the crowd. But, this is not possible because of a natural phenomenon called aging. This is a very scary process to all of us.

Even though we cannot stop it all together, we at least want to slow down the pace of the aging process. Feeling and looking younger than what we are, is definitely going to help us in almost all aspects of our life. To help slow the anti aging process some people try changing their diet and some start going to the fitness club. But, all these things require a lot of effort, money and time from our already busy lives. Hence many of us look towards using anti aging creams to help fill in the gap.

Antiaging cream can be an excellent option:

Especially turning forty, people start looking at antiaging cream as a real good option to counter attack the aging process. The craze for these antiaging creams is increasing at a rapid pace in the last few years mainly because all the baby boomers want to look thier best. The cosmetic product market today generates over eight hundred million dollars a year.

Have Patience:

However just like any other skin treatments, antiaging creams cannot give results in a single day. They take some time before they actually show some results. So, patience is the key if you want to get the results from these creams. There are different creams for different purposes, such as moisturizers, creams that do nutrient replenishments and so on. So, before going to buy a cream, you should be sure of your expected results from the cream so you won’t be disappointed

Antiaging creams are definitely the most popular of all the antiaging cosmetic products. Many of these creams deliver what they promise, thanks to hours of research as well as technological and medical advancements. But still you should keep in mind that antiaging creams don’t fix everything. They have to be supplemented with balanced nutritional diet along with a regular exercise program to achieve maximum results.

Specially for men:

Normally antiaging products are popular with just women, but these antiaging creams are made for men too. In fact there are several antiaging creams, which are specially made for men and they are becoming very popular very fast. So don’t be afraid to use these products to keep looking young as well.

DNA Life Changer Healthy habits can actually repair your DNA, say researchers Dean Ornish, MD, and E

DNA Life Changer
Healthy habits can actually repair your DNA, say researchers Dean Ornish, MD, and Elizabeth Blackburn, MD. Their study subjects ate vegetarian whole foods with 10 percent of calories from fat, walked 30 minutes six days a week, used stress-reducing techniques, and went to a weekly support group. The results? Besides a decrease in LDL cholesterol and stress levels, they showed a 29 percent rise in telo-merase. This enzyme repairs and lengthens telomeres, tiny protein complexes on the ends of chromosomes that are vital for immunity and longevity. Short telomeres and low levels of telomerase signal an increased risk of heart disease and cancer, plus a poor prognosis if you do get ill.

Simple Habits Pay Off
Sticking to four healthy habits regularly will help you live longer, according to Harvard researchers. Middle-aged women who ate right, exercised, stayed at a healthy weight, and never smoked had a 71 percent lower risk of premature death than those who had none of the healthy habits. The healthy women also reduced their risk of cancer death by 65 percent and fatal heart disease by 87 percent. The worst habit? Smoking. Those who smoked 1 to 14 cigarettes a day had a 94 percent higher risk of early death. But as obesity becomes much more common than smoking, this may change.

Move More, Cut Cancer
An active lifestyle may help prevent cancer-especially in women, say Japanese researchers. Tracking almost 80,000 people, they looked at energy expended during standing, walking, sitting, and working out. The most active men were 13 percent less likely to get cancer than the least active men; for women, the gap was 16 percent. Even small increases in activity improved the odds of staving off the disease.

Human growth hormone (HGH) has long been regarded as a combatant against the aging process and today

Human growth hormone (HGH) has long been regarded as a combatant against the aging process and today, it’s use is gathering momentum. But who should use HGH treatments and is it really effective in the anti-aging process?

The danger of human growth hormone has always been it’s abuse and more importantly, it’s use by people who really shouldn’t be worrying about the effects of time. I’m talking about individuals in their twenties and early thirties who become obsessed with their appearance and will go to unnecessary lengths in an attempt to maintain their youthful appearance. However, in the case of people over the age of 35 it could be beneficial but only under controlled supervision.

What Does An Antiaging HGH Treatment Include

It’s important to distinguish between safe levels of treatment and reckless use. Examining what a true antiaging treatment contains and knowing it’s common ingredients will give you a better understanding of it’s role in fighting off the effects of aging. The three most common ingredients include Glutamine, Arginine, and Valine. What roles do each of these three agents play. Let’s take a look:

- Glutamine can help speed up the metabolism of a person and at the same time, has the ability to both improve the immune system and performance.
- Promotion of healthy cell growth is well known in the fight against both the effects of aging and disease and Argenine plays an important role in this area. It can also increase sperm count and potency.
- New tissue growth is an area Valine plays an important role in and for athletes, is vital in the recovery of muscle use and soreness.

Did You Know?

HGH is a chemical secreted by the pituitary gland. It plays a vital role during the growth years of children but as we continue to age, gradually declines. However, the presence of human growth hormone is known to assist in maintaining good health following it’s initial burst during the growing years.

On-going reasearch on the benefits of antiaging treatments continues at a frenetic pace simply because it continues to throw up signs that we could be “on the right track,” not only in staving off the process of aging but in other health related areas as well. Studies are almost conclusive that once people reach their 60’s, 70’s and beyond, deficiency symptoms are both visible and felt by the elderly. These include the obvious such as greying hair and wrinkles and lack of energy and mobility. But studies have also shown that increased HGH production can have a positive reverse effect on these symptoms.

So can antiaging treatments slow down and delay the aging process? So far studies have been very positive and continue to throw up some startling results. We have seen the emergence of several related products over the last few years such as neugenesis. Neugenesis comes either in spray or tablet form and is getting good reviews. But should you rush out and “jump on the bandwagon?” Do me a favor and at least discuss HGH treatments with someone who can guide you in the right direction such as your physician. If they can’t satisfy your curiosity then they can more than likely refer you to a health professional who can.

Most people will admit that they believe it is crucial for the body to have the right kinds and amounts of vitamins for a healthy body. In fact many people take vitamins on a daily basis and have done all their life. It should not come as a surprise then to know that these same vitamins will help in the fight against aging, not only of the body but also of the skin. After all it would be impossible for the vitamins to improve all the cells of the body and not show in the skin. Most people know that the most important vitamins for this are vitamin C, vitamin E, and the vitamin B complex. These vitamins have been tested and used for so long that we no longer question their use. We are now seeing them used in various antiaging skincare products such as creams, lotions, and serums. There are many people that have already benefitted from these antiaging skincare products and will attest to that fact.

The Antiaging Vitamin K

Why are we looking at vitamin K now? Well, Vitamin K is often used for people with blood coagulation concerns as it is well documented as a coagulant. It is also known as the vitamin to use when trying to prevent osteoporosis and also for heart problems. It has been discovered that vitamin K has come forward as probably the vitamin with the best anti-oxidant properties and is now being used in place of some of the other vitamins previously used.

The Workings Of Antiaging Vitamin K

The aging process is basically that time and elements breakdown, and cause inflammation of, cells and tissue causing organs – including the skin – to break down over time.

A hormone called Interleukin-6 or IL6 has been found to be the cause of this inflammation. Your body, as it ages, will produce ever increasing amounts of this biochemical agent which will proceed to inflame the cells, tissue and organs with the result of aging the body. This aging process makes the body more susceptible to disease such as arthritis, heart disease etc. That is why we associate these illnesses with getting old. Vitamin K is now widely used in treating blood pressure, stroke, Alzheimers disease and osteoporosis. Results have been extremely encouraging due to the fact that it has both anti-oxidant properties along with its ability to block the IL-6 hormone. This is an interesting and exciting time to be working with vitamin K and many scientists are rediscovering the vitamin and its medical uses as well as discovering that it works wonders as an antiaging vitamin.

Onward

The future is bright for this important antiaging vitamin. many products will be utilizing its wonderful properties in the future. It has been shown that vitamin K accumulates in all the important organs of the body so it could be that it will be possible not only to treat aging problems but also to help prevent the aging process.

We all want younger looking skin. Although aging is inevitable, people are always looking for ways t

We all want younger looking skin. Although aging is inevitable, people are always looking for ways to slow down that process. Lifestyle choices can actually speed up the aging process, resulting in a condition known as premature aging. This causes wrinkles at a young age. Although anti-aging creams can help minimize the effects of aging, it’s best to try to prevent the damage as well. There are things you can do to help slow down the aging process.

Avoid the sun whenever possible. The ultraviolet rays of the sun are very damaging to the skin. They cause premature aging and wrinkles. Use a sunscreen to protect your skin when you are spending time in the sun. Be sure to apply the sunscreen to the face, neck, arms, hands and any other exposed areas. Wear a hat to give your face even more protection. Avoid being outside in the middle of the day when the sun’s rays are strongest.

If you smoke, this is another incentive to quit. Most of the media coverage is focused on the health benefits of quitting, which are important. There are also benefits for your skin if you kick the habit. Smoking increases the production of free radicals, which contribute to the aging process. This accelerates the aging process and causes more wrinkles in the skin. Talk to your doctor about ways to quit. There are prescription medications that may help as well as over the counter remedies. Your doctor can help you find the best method for you.

Eat a healthy diet rich in antioxidants. These include foods rich in vitamins A, C and E. Antioxidants help scavenge free radicals. A combination of these vitamins is most effective. A diet lower in fat is best for your skin. Drink plenty of water to hydrate the skin from the inside out. You should try to drink at least eight glasses each day.

Exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. It is not only good for your body, but your skin as well. Regular exercise improves circulation. This keeps your body in shape and helps increase the circulation to the muscles and skin of the face. You might want to ask your doctor before beginning an exercise routine.

To be sure you will stick with it, choose a type of exercise that you enjoy. If you like it, you are more likely to be motivated to exercise. Workout with a friend to help you both stay motivated. Start off slow and add time as you get in better shape. You should try to work up to thirty minutes of cardiovascular exercise a day. Exercise three or four days a week for best results.

Good skin care is essential to younger looking skin. Choose high quality skin care products and anti aging creams. Wash your face every day with a gentle cleanser. Use a moisturizer that is made for your skin type. Use anti wrinkle creams that contain antioxidants and other high quality ingredients. Read reviews of anti aging creams to choose the products that are best for your skin type. In these ways you will increase the look and feel of your skin.

Finally, in April, I had enough and began working on crazy, and unfortunately, I just eat more and eat sunflower seeds and water. terrible, I knowledge, but it worked and I could not stop because I have numbers, and my pants were literally at each stage. I was desesperate! In July I was 135 lbs. In September, because I found my BF 130, what I did and fear, literally force myself to eat. So I started to eat again, taking me.

In October, I learned I was pregnant again. This time This, I saw what I ate, and I still won a lot. I was 175 lbs. I left the hospital, 166 lbs. Since then, I have tried to lose weight, I am not supplements, as breastfeeding. But I am very aware of what I eat. Yesterday I saw my bf pizza because it was my birthday and I refused to go.

desesperate I am, but I am happy not only because I am breastfeeding, but because I have the energy to cope with my children and I do not want to kill me in the process. I’m depressed and I’m driving all around me nuts, what I talk about weight loss , and I weigh myself 10 times a day. I’m obssesed and completely freaking out. I am here, stuck at 149 kg, and I do not know what to do, I go for jogs and walks daily, and I force. I have videos, Billy Blanks 8 minutes of video, I did not 4 times.

My Goal / Challenge is to lose 40 kg (39) in November, I think there is enough time for them. But I am doing a complete overhaul of the body, Gotta Go my weight and I am going to enjoy

Thanks!
<br

Wendy
/>

Well, I’m updating my progress …

I did it like crazy, and I have not increased at the level yet. Plan Sunday … I hope to have this plateu. This is the second that I did. First, I was stuck at 151.6 if you’re on 149.8, I’m still here! Since July 20, ugh!

I walk about 3 miles per day, and try to provide 5 tomorrow, we’ll see if my children together. I am still pushing the stroller and the other on his career. This May have contributed. I will start logging my intake tomorrow and see what I’m doing wrong. I am for the loss of 10 kg 1 September, and I will succeed and maybe even beyond.

Good news, I tried on a pair of jeans before pregnancy, and they are neither too loose, as before, but not too close to be. I did not suck, to close. They are a size 7 / 8 woo hoo! I was so happy that I left home when the races … and I can draw my 14s without unbottoning … <img src = "http://www.weight-loss-forums.com/images/smilies/icon_surprised.gif" alt = ": o" title = "Surprised"
/>

Anywho … I try to download an image, I think it is better later. Good night and good luck!
<br

Well, to me a little better, by small steps, I joinder a challenge, ending on 1 September from 149 lbs (although when I finally weighed myself, I realized that I was back to 151.2) to 139 lbs. Well … As of this morning, I weighed in at 147.2 yay! I have had my ass, but it pays off. I’m so excited

I want to lose least 40 pounds of Thanksgiving …

I’m home to visit family …. It is a year to see how they are. I really want to be thinner, then …. But I have to stay motivated.

I was touched by your post, with 17 was, I stravation the way to the Battle of the Bulge .. he has worked so well that I went in the wrong type2 diabetes Weightloss a program plan, mineral water, rice cakes and Diet Pepsi, plus 3 hours rigorous daily exercise. Yes, I went up to 110 pounds, if you, like me, anorexia, without a diagnosis. I am happy with your BF, as my mother, who is ending. That is why I am here and have a story to tell today.

I invite you to learn some techniques for relieving stress, which in turn will take you back to your model diect healthier lifestyle and help you with your program objectives for weight loss and restore peace of mind, make your self-esteem and appreciation. Check out IBreathe-In.com, he spoke of stress and more user-friendly approach, such as biofeedback and meditation tools to assist and accompany you on your way Weightloss Program.

Today, at the age of 39 years back and I now, with the weight loss the fight, and today, but not the final destination of my program Weightloss goal, I’m just around the corner around 4-5 months — and no more, and in sizes 12 / 14 and I wear sweaters in the middle / T-shirts. I chose / choose an alternative lifestyle and allowed me to lose the excess baggage, literally and figuratively.

I am over 85 pounds since February 2006, and I did it through an overhaul of life in which the metaphysical practices help earth-centered and stress in my daily life, no matter how large or small.

Meditation is a part of my daily life today, such as daily exercise with a personal trainer, my bike, walks in nature, hiking and meditation eliminate foods that do not heal, and have no nutritional value for me, no flour, no refined sugar and no red meat. I eat mostly a vegetarian diet with some fish and chicken. Choose foods low on the glycemic index (Paperback can now use this book, it is very easy to use), and I listen to my body. And reacts with the melting of the fat and skin, as well as dynamic a clear, healthy mind happy. Yes, body and spirit work together so well, not links.

I also found tools such as biofeedback, stress, often due to negligence or bad eating habits that seem useful. Check out IBreathe-In.com is a great program I like biofeedback very good offer, it contributes to the so-called alpha and theta waves, which promotes relaxation, visualization, creativity, meditation , intuition and memory.

I hope you find this useful as I have shared … The weight is more a symbol of the fat, we hate, we must love ourselves as we are now and celebrate the beauty, as we are now, though …. and have tools and new decisions reallize You can get everything and anytging a happy and healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, no separation together! Good luck!

love to hear comments on weight loss pills? How it works? What does not?
Joehutel Hey,

I think I am fair to say that different pills work for different people. From reading a variety of forums, here, I learned that the pill does not work for everyone. However, I read many reviews Cylaris, since it looks like an amazing pill. I would like to try, but I am currently BF my baby, I’m going to have to wait.

Both my cousin and her husband has lost about 25 kg in one month of the Atkins diet, I lost, and only 10 kg, the first time I’ve done for the second time I lost 1 lb
unfortunate
Last year I tried Hoodia, and the first 2 bottles works like a charm, I was not hungry anymore. But if I am in my third bottle, it no longer works. So I bought some liquid, well, I never went and bought a second bottle.

One thing that helps to drink water, lots of water! Not only will it help you lose weight, but it will help your skin and organs.

I hope that you respond quickly, take care and good luck!
<br

Skin Renewal Secrets You May Not Know The formation of wrinkles and creases on the face are certainly a part of aging, however we don’t have to sit back and let them run rampant. There are many different products and strategies that can keep you looking younger, longer. You can work to prevent wrinkles and treat the ones that you already have. In many cases uneven skin tone and a dry texture accompanies the other side effects of the aging process. Luckily all of these complaints can be addressed.

If you enjoy a glass of red wine now and then, you’ve probably heard of resveratrol, a component found in grape skins that may help protect your heart, nourish your skin and even help normalize your blood sugar. We have l free trial offers on this page for the leading products that contain resveratrol along with other natural ingredients that are worth your consideration, especially if you want to boost your vitality and keep your skin glowing and fresh. Resveratrol is even found in some weight loss products because of its benefits. It certainly can’t hurt your skin, especially if you take it via supplements rather than by drinking wine. One top secret of skin rejuvenation is exfoliation. There are plenty of products on store shelves that exfoliate the skin. When you exfoliate, you remove dead skin cells to reveal younger, newer skin. You can even make your own natural exfoliant by combining a skin-safe oil like olive or jojoba with sea salt or sugar. Common natural ingredients used for sloughing the skin include apricots and walnuts.. Exfoliation is done anywhere from weekly to daily depending on the product you’re using. In addition to regular exfoliation, it is necessary to keep the skin moisturized. Dehydration makes wrinkles more prevalent. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily and use a topical moisturizer that suits your skin type. Many daytime moisturizers have SPF in them which is a necessity because sun damage makes the signs of aging even more noticeable. Experts recommend wearing sunscreen every day, even when it is cloudy outside.
Aging is inevitable. But it seems age is always an issue most especially to women who would go to su

Aging is inevitable. But it seems age is always an issue most especially to women who would go to such length as exhausting all means to hide or delay the proof of age. Some people are gifted with firm, supple and naturally blushed skin that they can convincingly lie about their real age with less effort. However, some people are not as lucky and may suffer from dry skin, crow’s feet and wrinkles that add more years to their appearance and look older than their actual age.

The cosmetics industry is a multi-billion dollar business thanks to the men and women around the world who are continuously searching for the fountain of youth. And since the aging process is unavoidable, skin care treatments and anti-aging products will continue to sell like hot cakes.

The Aging Process
For both men and women, the aging process transforms the skin in relation with hormonal activity, environment as well as one’s personal hygiene and skin care habits. When people reach the age of puberty, hormonal changes occur as the body quickly and excessively produces testosterone which results to acne breakouts. Stress, certain diets and medications can also trigger hormonal disturbance which may cause skin irritations. Sun exposure, wind and climate may cause sun burn, dryness, even skin cancer. And poor hygiene will definitely encourage bacterial skin infection which could lead to more serious conditions.
Skin care treatments can help prevent visible signs of aging, if not totally retaining the supple, toned and youthful skin texture. Men are just as prone to skin ailments and premature aging as women. And regardless of gender, there is so much more to skin care treatments than just a desire to look youthful.

Skin Care Solutions
Healthy skin begins from the inside and is projected outside. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can hold-off premature skin aging. A well-balanced diet filled with natural vitamins and minerals will promote healthy skin for a lifetime. Keep your body and your skin hydrated by avoiding smoking and drinking a lot of water or fruit juices. Doing some exercise can relieve stress, thus, helps fight aging.

Cleansing with cool water and mild skin cleanser product twice daily can keep the pores clear of dirt and oil, allowing the skin to breathe. It can also minimize the appearance of unsightly blemishes. Be sure that your skin cleanser matches your skin type. For oily skin, use oil-free products. For sensitive skin, use hypoallergenic cleanser. Never use deodorant soap on your face as it may dry your skin out and cause it to become irritated.

Applying moisturizers on your face twice daily can also help hydrate the skin. People in their forties should consider using an anti-aging or anti-wrinkle night cream to help preserve or restore smoothness and texture of the skin. It is important that men should use moisturizer particularly after shaving. Lubricating ther skin will help stave off wrinkles and discoloration. Aftershave should only be applied to the neck as it may irritate or burn the face, particularly if it contains alcohol. Body lotion, on the other hand, is advised for people of all ages.
Sun protection is vital to prevent damage to your skin. No matter how young or old a person is, too much sun exposure may result in sunburn due to the UV rays emitted by the sun. Wearing sunblock or moisturizer of at least SPF 15 can reduce chances of developing wrinkles and age spots. The sun’s radiation is at it’s peak from 10 AM

It might suprise you there has been a lot made in the last year about Reseratrol — something that is quickly gaining a reputation for being one of the most succesful anti-aging supplements currently available.

Reseratrol’s reputation is not suprising but there has been creeping on the market in recent months a lot of manufacturers and stores are beginning to market what I think of as “fake Reseratrol.”

What is meant by that is that the supplements that the are selling, and promoting as Reseratrol, aren’t really what you’d imagine.

This it should not be that totally shocking. Whenever you have something that is in massively popular in the way Reseratrol is right now, you are going to have dodgy opportunists trying to make money at the cost of health-expectant consumers .

I like to talk to you about some samples of things I have observed happening on the web in the past few months which show how easy it is to be mislead by sellers of imitation Reseratrol.

But don’t worry there are still a plenty of respected places to obtain Reseratrol and even a few where you can take a trial for free and I’ll give you a heads up on these as well.

So here are a just a a handful of recent examples I have spoted which have been hawking Reseratrol which isn’t exactly what you might imagine especially if you don’t know what you are looking for.

When I browsed online I found there were a number places I could purchase Reseratrol and there were a number named brands (found on the high street) also selling products. To be fair the prices seemed a bit too good to be true so I investigated things a little further.

You see I know from experience genuine Reseratrol can be quite pricey because it is relatively expensive to produce so when I noticed it for sale less than ten bucks at a number outlets I was more than a little intrigued.

But then when reading deeper the reason for these bargain basement opportunites became obvious these companies wern’t offering Reseratrol at all. Instead they were marketing something called grape seed extract or red wine extract. But nowhere did they mention the amount of trans-reseratrol in the capsule.

Now it may be wrong to assume these products don’t contain any Reseratrol or more importantly the active ingredient trans-Reseratrol, but I don’t think it would be incorrect to assume that this would be at a very low level and certainly too low to have any real effect.

The reason people are easily conned is by all the promotion about red wine containing Reseratrol and some thing know as the ‘French paradox’.

So quite easily they assume red wine extract must really be another name for Reseratrol especially when advertisers make an effort to utilze the red wine connection so much.

But this might stun you, most of commerically available Reseratrol isn’t usually derived from red wine at all but from a plant known as Japanese Knotweed (you can also find strong levels in some other plants) which mostly is produced in China.

It’s true that you can extract Reseratrol from the outer skins of grapes and even grape seeds but the cost for yield of Reseratrol is significantly less than several alternative sources of the in demand supplement and antioxidant.

So don’t fall for the advertising and make sure your tablet contains Reseratrol and NOT only grape seed extract.

Now armed with this new detail you might discover that the product you have been using is not quite what you had been led to believe and might want to look for a new seller of Reseratrol that you can really rely on.
