Usually, I don’t do random entries that will sound pathetic and childish like this. But I am very much in need for a writing therapy at the moment, because I am not happy and definitely feeling down. I’ve been through a lot this year, and I can definitely say that this is one of my worst year ever.

Too many things happened, and I sometimes wished for that there’s more than 24 hours a day. Time is simply not enough, and I tend to wonder if I am having a post traumatic stress, seeing how often I feel so down and depressed since the fire happened.

Long long time ago, I never like any animals to keep as pet. Most of them stinks and smell like poo all the time, and not to mention if it’s a feline or a canine, they need treatments and grooming pretty often too.

I adopted a stray kitten 3 month ago. I did not even know why I brought it home. I really did not know why. It’s not even cute to even begin with. The kitty, whom I called Meow Meow looks like a New Zealand dairy cow with the patchy black fur. But I suppose it is fate that Meow Meow comes to live with me for me and my entire family owe her our lives. To cut the story short, she saved us from the fire that burned down my house on 18th July 2008- four days after I brought her home. I suppose, she’s pretty much godsent.

I was no animal lover, but I came to realize that pets could bring so much joy and serenity to the soul. I used to think that cats are stupid creature that vomits furball everywhere and poop around, but boy was I wrong. My kitty learned to use the toilet all by herself, and all I need to do was just flush the toilet each time she poop or pee. She’s pretty clever for a not so cute kitten.

There’s a few things that I noticed about Meow Meow. Among them is she loves to watch superheroes shows and old shows like Knight Rider and Air Wolf. She’s pretty choosy when it comes to food, and prefers to eat wet food more than the nasty dry pet food for cats. If I did not bathe her at least once a week, she’ll get very uncomfortable and bites and scratch around angrily.

Meow Meow also loves to be petted and hugged, and when it’s raining or storming outside, she’ll stick to me or my husband like a glue. I used to think that kittens only loves to chase yarn balls, but Meow Meow is different. She love all sort of children’s toys and loves to see picture books and not to mention watch cartoon. Sometimes, she even behaved like a little girl. She’ll want blanket and tends to hug little soft toys when she sleeps.

These days, Meow Meow would give me a wake up call. She would lick my face in the morning and if I still refused to get my lazy butt up from the bed, she’ll claw me. I never knew that I could love a little kitten so much that sometimes I treat her like my own daughter.

I could list down many reasons why I love Meow Meow. But at the end of the day, having someone to tell my problems to and would keep my secrets safe tops the list. For what it’s worth, I am sure glad and thankful that I brought Meow Meow home.

Cleffairy: Sometimes, animals would understand you better than human. Well, at least they won’t backstab you, scold you or even judge you for what you did and did not do. At least, pet’s love and devotion for you is always genuine.

El coche fantástico, El Equipo A, Corrupción en Miami, Luz de luna o MacGyver son señas de identidad de una época televisiva. Todas ellas tenían estructuras parecidas, con personajes renegados, escenas de acción, tramas detectivescas y románticas, personajes  de edad que hacían de referencia, mujeres guapas y transmitían la idea de que la justicia se encontraba fuera de los cauces ordinarios de la ley. No fueron una excepción y de aquella época tenemos un buen montón de series que reproducían el esquema con pequeñas variaciones. Os traigo una pequeña muestra que he dividido en dos bloques.

Aparatos maravillosos. 1982 es el año de Michael Knight y a partir de él otros héroes intentaron convertirse en los adalides de la justicia. En 1983 El equipo A introdujo una especie de guerra clandestina en las ficciones y de ahí también bebieron muchos. En 1985 MacGyver surgió como una confluencia de todas, con la tecnología más arcaica pero con un espíritu guerrero renovado. Aquí tenéis unos ejemplos.

Airwolf (1984). Es una mezcla de El coche fantástico y de El equipo A. La serie se llamó en España Lobo del aire, que no era otro que el helicóptero supersónico, y andaban metidos en el ajo la CIA con la Guerra Fría de telón de fondo. Ya sabemos que en los ochenta el clima de la Guerra Fría marcó gran parte de la producción audiovisual. La serie es de Donald Bellisario, uno de los popes de este tipo de series.

El trueno azul (1984). La damnificada por Airwolf. El trueno azul se basó en una película del mismo título pero sólo tiene once episodios porque Airwolf consiguió más audiencia pese a estrenarse después.

Street Hawk (1985). El éxito de El halcón callejero, que sólo cuenta con una temporada, sólo puede deberse a que era una imitación terriblemente mala de El coche fantástico en todos sus aspectos. La moto disparaba unos misiles enormes pero ni por esas.

Acción – seducción, o viceversa. A pesar de que parece que Luz de luna (1985), encabeza un género, la serie en realidad es heredera de otras propuestas anteriores. Detectives seductores, guapos, con relaciones difíciles con sus compañeras. Luz de luna podría ser la mezcla perfecta de las tres series que os comento a continuación. La clave que las diferencia de las anteriores es el componente romántico que las acerca a la audiencia femenina pero a pesar de ello, sigue habiendo acción y peligros al margen de la ley.

Hart y Hart (1979). En la serie, un rico matrimonio se dedica en su tiempo libre a resolver misterios.

Magnum (1980). En Magnum, otra serie de Donald Bellisario, podemos ver los rasgos de David Addison, el protagonista principal de Luz de luna. Mucho sarcasmo, ironía y frialdad, pero sólo en apariencia.

Remington Steele (1982). Aquí está claro, ¿no? La tensión sexual no resuelta entre los protagonistas es la clave. De hecho, ambas series protagonizaron un crossover y los protagonistas de Remington Steele aparecieron en Luz de luna.

La de tortas y explosiones que hemos visto en televisión gracias a estas series. Y no podemos dejar al margen la escala de valores que transmitían, al margen de las propuestas más policiales que también tuvieron mucho éxito. Ya sabéis que en los comentarios podéis insertar los vídeos que os apetezcan y completar así la lista, que seguro que me he dejado muchas en el teclado.

DEVIANTS Part 1: Having Sex with Half-Elves and Helicopters

            Reay Tannahill—in her interesting and informative book Sex in History—gives readers an overview of human sexuality from our primitive prehistory paternity, down through the rise of the first great ancient societies to modern gender roles and pornography. But, as with all histories that attempt to cover countless generations of human society, Tannahill couldn’t (and didn’t) detail every dot, dash, footnote and freak. But reading between the lines, the oddities of the past make sweet love to the present…and approximately 9 months into the future you get a brand-spanking new generation of strange bedfellows.

            In other words, there is nothing new under the sun. No new perversion, sexual deviance, sex position or fetish is likely to be much of a surprise when you consider the length of a man’s…history. Having just finished re-reading Tannahill’s book (and the much-less randy Food in History), I was in an introspective frame of mind on the subject when I happened on an odd documentary on QSS.com.

            Take, for instance, Edward Smith of Yelm, Washington.

            Eddie owns a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle. But it’s not for transportation. Oh, no. “Vanilla” (as Ed calls her) is his girlfriend. And this is definitely a friendship with benefits.

            “[Vanilla] is a sexy, sensuous name,” Ed tells a documentary filmmaker. “Almost every inch of her body is a thing of beauty.”

            And though I should be asking WHY and HOW (exactly) this man makes sweet love to his Volkswagen, the thought that keeps interrupting these more practical questions is: what part of “her” body isn’t a thing of beauty..?

            My best guess is the license plate. I try to picture this gnome-like man getting it on with Vanilla’s chrome-plated tailpipe. Then he looks down, maybe gives Vanilla’s German rump a playful slap, and sees…the tag. It expired last month! And maybe—just maybe—that realization would intrude on Ed’s fantasy enough so that reality hits him in the face like a squirt of 40-weight motor oil:

            “What am I doing?” I imagine Ed asking himself, suddenly ashamed. “I’m sticking my dingus into my car. I think I may need professional advice—and not from a mechanic.”

            But the truth is, Ed doesn’t see anything wrong with the love he feels for Vanilla.

            “She’s my lover,” he says, proudly. “And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”

            Ed even writes love poems to his car:

            Vanilla Beetle of 74

            Your creamy body I adore

            Flesh and metal, overwhelm

            Man and Car become one

            (…)

            Where my sun sets, freed

            From the light of day and dark

            I leave my loving seed.

             The documentary then shows Ed walking his dog, and you can see the relief in the dog’s eyes. It doesn’t take a K9 psychologist to figure out what Ed’s dog is thinking:

            “Thank God he doesn’t like Schnauzers.”

 The documentary interviews another man who has an even weirder sexual fetish—if you can believe that. This guy has an obsessive sexual desire for the souped-up helicopter of the 80’s TV show Airwolf.

            He followed air shows like hippies followed the Grateful Dead, going anywhere the object of his desire was on display. Apparently he managed a few moments of alone-time with Airwolf at one of these shows:

            “I just couldn’t hold back,” he admits.

            When he heard that Airwolf suffered severe injuries in a crash, his grief was nearly overwhelming. Just talking about it to the documentary filmmaker (presumably years later) was enough to make him emotional all over again.

             It’s a little easier to understand when the object of obsession is a human being, however. But what if it’s a half-elf like Bjork? Her stalker, who painted his face up like Mel Gibson in Braveheart and recorded a strange, rambling video diary before committing suicide, left some clues about his odd desires:

            “Today I searched the Internet for obsessive details on Bjork. I want to fuck her. Which I suppose means that I’m some kind of Neanderthal. I’m not supposed to admit infatuation (lust) when it’s attached to someone as “vital” an artist as she is. But I can’t help it. Like all geeks, my darkest fantasy (besides jackbooted world domination) is sexual relations with an elf. And Bjork, despite that horrid song “Human Behavior” is quite obviously not human. I will leave the exact nomenclature of her fey race to the type of experts who speak Klingon and write poems in Tolkien’s Quenya.”

 Now, this guy is FUNNY.

Well hell.

Quite a lot has happened since last we spoke.
Let’s see.

A major bloody typhoon swept into Taiwan and blew everything away. What it couldn’t blow down it flooded, and what it couldn’t flood, it buried under landslides. It has and still is a major issue for the Taiwanese to handle, with disaster relief and rescue attempts under way. There has been a lot of criticism of the new government under Ma for not doing enough and for not doing enough fast enough.
Honestly though? Rescuers have already lost one chopper. Highways and bridges have been swept away all over the place and even though over 34000 soldiers have been deployed (Not 4000-odd as claimed by some)… there is going to be death and destruction. There has been a fair amount of criticism levelled at the Taiwanese government for not seeking international financial aid. That being said, they ARE sitting on a NT$ 40 BILLION disaster relief fund and probably don’t NEED the 2 Euros people are likely to drop in the tin.
Meh.

The wife, the dog and I made it through Morakot relatively unscathed. We live on the 9th floor of our 14 storey building and STILL got flooded slightly. See, the problem with a typhoon is not the wind or the rain. It is the combination of both. Kaohsiung caught 1.3 metres of rain in the first day. And 1 metre of rain on the second. What that makes for is seriously soggy ground. Which then is not firm enough to hang on to the trees planted in it. Enter 120km/h winds, and Bob’s your minion! Now the wife and I have these nice picture windows and sliding windows, and sliding doors onto our balconies. My guess is that those doors were flexing about 2 inches at their centre under the pressure of the wind. (Pretty bloody alarming when you are sitting bare-chested on the chair in front of them. Closing the curtains does little for peace of mind when you can hear glass creaking.) The combination of flexing and heavy rain meant that the rain managed to get itself driven into our place.. where is made a large mess of my study. (More messy than usual.) It was so windy, that rain was actually pushed THROUGH my air-conditioner. Pretty bloody windy.

Still. We survived. A lot of people didn’t. And a lot of people had more than a bust air-conditioner and a flooded floor. So I count it as a win, and I count it as a luck point spent.

In other news… life continues apace. The annoying thing about typhoons is that they are heralded by a day or two of rain, and then followed by 3 or 4 days of rain. Which really sucks when your mode of transport is a scooter. Luckily for me, I seem to have finally found a raincoat worthy of the name. It’s a K-Way All-weather coat. And it cost me R1600 when I was in South Africa last. And let me tell you… it WORKS.

So yeah… personal news this time is pretty much waterlogged and typhoon ridden. Sorry.

This week’s musical find…
Not that much of a NEW find, but here is Avenged Sevenfold with Dear God. One of my all-time favourites.. (And yes, it IS a little bit country!)

So. I have been watching some TV lately. LEVERAGE is the first one. This tells the tale of a bunch of thieves, crooks and conmen using their powers for good as they take on the corporate machine in aid of the downtrodden little guy. It has the cynical and damaged leader, the sexy face/actor, the silent and violent fighter, and the comic relief – this role split between a slightly deranged cat-burglar and the uber-hacker. (What is it about Hollywood that they HAVE to give hackers so much power in movies? Nobody disputes the disruption and damage a hacker can cause. But will they actually take the time to graphically demonstrate that they are simultaneously hacking every major US federal website? If they COULD do that, why would they bother teaming up with a bunch of meat-morons?)

Now.. something my wife said got me thinking.There was a depression in the 80’s. Nothing as earth-shattering, and as terrible and as totally without relief as today’s one, but hey. (Yeah.. there may be a tiny dash of sarcasm there… Your Mileage My Vary) And the 80’s were an excellent source of heroes that stood up to the corporate bad-guys.. who fought for the little man. Most notably… there was the A-Team, , there was Air Wolf and there was of course… MacGyver! (You still remember the episode with the ants, right?) Now…the common denominator here is that we need a hero… someone who will stand up to the big, nasty banks and governments that are screwing us over.

There was going to be a sociological discourse here… but I lost track, and instead… I have a few more trips down memory lane for you.
Hardcastle and McCormick , the show that showed me that it WAS possible to fight crime in a very fast car and a leather jacket!
Riptide , where geeks COULD be cool… provided they lived on a boat with two firmly hetero war vets.
Tales of the Gold Monkey . I was pretty young when this hit TV… and for years after I honestly thought I had imagined the show. I couldn’t find anyone who remembered it. So… if you DO remember it, drop me a line please!
Automan! who fueled a thousand paranoid fantasies about being sucked into a computer and converted into something like him. There was nothing cool about this guy… except for his car and his ability to corner at 90 degrees.

And then there were ones that I couldn’t track down… which is where YOU, dear reader, come in.
There was a show… I think it was called Under the Mountain, about a brother and sister who lived next to/near a pair of old people who were actually slimy alien monster thingies. The monsties breathed out snot over themselves, and then slid down lava tube tunnels under their house. TERRIFYING. (I think it was an Australian show.)

Second – There was a TV show about a family that had survived some holocaust or something, and drove about in what they called an Ark. It was a 6 wheeled, pristine white vehicle. They all wore matching white jumpsuits and drove about having adventures. Any ideas?

Third – This one is really obscure. It involved a family (it may only have been one or two people) who got transported through time into a pretty nasty future. They discovered that they were not the first people to have had that happen to them, as they stumbled into a sealed unit that only opened when they answered a question about the first president of the US. Might not even have been the future, may have been an alien culture. WHo knows? I am hoping YOU do!

As a late Gen X’er I grew up watching loads of  fun action television shows from the 1980s, that featured lots of cool characters, hi-tech machines, exotic locations, explosions and questionable acting. Now with the availability of  DVD these ‘classic’ television programs are available from the library, enabling people like myself to relive our childhoods through cult shows like MacGyver, Family Ties, Airwolf, Knight Rider, and Transformers just to name a few. What TV shows did you grow up with? And if you’ve relived them, were they as you remembered?

Just an observation more than anything. “Training Day”, starring the always reliable Denzel Washington has been playing on ION–two nites now. During commercials they advertise Christian programming, after which a disclaimer comes on stating that the movie, for which Denzel was rightly nominated for an Academy Award, had been edited for television. Here’s how:

The language, rather than overdubbed, was simply blanked out–good choice. Even lips were blurred when dropping an obvious F-bomb. Nudity, of course, was blurred as well. But not the violence. Bullets pummeled flesh; bottles smashed heads; more bullets, riddling bodies–holes ripping into human flesh–none of it blurred, none of it edited for television.

I’m all for protecting our children, I really am, but what sort of message does this send? Somehow violence is acceptable?

I’ll give it to ION though. Waiting to watch “The Mentalist,” we’re watching Airwolf. At least the violence is hokey.

Nu har det tillslut lugnat ner sig. Jag tycker det var länge sen jag upplevde ett så pass ihållande åskoväder, om än inte så kraftigt (läs närgånget). Slut batterier i lappisen innebar att jag slängde mig i soffan och spelade lite spel på iPhonen innan jag började känna mig lite trött. Tog riktning mot sängen och stannade där fram tills nu. Blev alltså en liten “siesta” och det var inte dumt.

Nu är all apparatur inkopplad igen och det är väl dags att köra igång tv och glo lite. Ska det bli lite Airwolf tro?

Så var första arbetsdagen avklarad och den gick utan några större problem. Man känner sig lite, lite ringrostig då man inte har precis den rutin man brukar ha exempelvis när man ska stänga igen. Men det kommer nog att hitta tillbaka väldigt snabbt. Var faktiskt riktigt trevligt att komma tillbaka på jobbet och träffa lite folk igen. Känns ju bra att min arbetskompis Boris saknat mig också. Vi har riktigt kul ihop.

Det enda dryga med dagen var då jag skulle på banken och växla lite pengar. Kommer in och tar en kölapp. Nr 049 står det på lappen och nr 044 betjänades när jag kom in. Men satan i gatan vilket tempo det var, eller snarare inte var. Tror jag fick vänta i runt en halvtimme innan det blev min tur och då hade redan 15 minuter av min lunch gått åt. Får väl ta igen den kvarten på onsdag lr nåt. Tur att man gör de flesta av sina bankärenden på nätet. Sitta och vänta i en evighet på bankkontoret är inte kul.

Imorgon ledigt. Blir Ottonträsk för att slutföra bygget. Nu blir det Airwolf som jag började se igår. Riktigt bra gammal klassiker om den svart-vita superhelikoptern. Väcker fina minnen från då man satt och såg den på Tv3 när man var yngre. Då var den grym vilket den iofs fortfarande är, men nu ser man även att den inte alltid är så välgjord. Men vad gör det?

This week’s Theme Tune Tuesday pays tribute to the recent 20th anniversary of heartwarming, feel-good sci-fi series Quantum Leap.

The first episode aired on March 26, 1989 and the show ran for five years (96 episodes). It sprang from the fertile mind of Donald Bellisario, who also created shows such as Magnum p.i. , Airwolf, Tales Of The Gold Monkey and, more recently, JAG and NCIS.

Quantum Leap starred Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett, a scientist from the near future (from the perspective of 1989), who believes he has found a way to time travel within his own lifetime.

However, when he tests his theory, the experiment goes awry he finds himself “leaping”, or bouncing, through time into the bodies of strangers. He soon realises  he is being directed by some unseen higher power to either save or improve these people’s lives. To move on to the next leap – and, he hopes, eventually leap back home – he must “put right what once went wrong”, changing history in the process.

Sam’s only companion is Al Calavicci, played by Dean Stockwell, a friend and colleague from Sam’s own time who appears as a hologram that only he can see and hear. Using the computer resources of Sam’s lab and their present-day historical records, Al helps him figure out whose life he is living and the reason for Sam being there.

Quantum Leap was unapologetically sentimental and schmaltzy and, despite the slightly futuristic time-travel premise, refused to get too bogged down in sci-fi, preferring instead to focus on the human drama and character interaction, while tackling contemporary issues such as racism, sexism and attitudes towards the disabled in an entertaining way that just about managed to stay the right side of preachy. It was a clever move that no doubt helped the show move beyond its genre roots and also win a large, and loyal, mainstream audience.

Key to the show’s success was the great rapport between Bakula and Stockwell, without a doubt one of the great TV partnerships.

sampai sekarang Saya suka ketawa sendiri kalo mengingat ekspresi wajah Harry.

3. Kamen rider black (Satria Baja Hitam) & RX

Pada waktu itu siapa yang ngga tau serial ini. Serial ini bisaas dibilang trendsetter.

Ach was war es wieder turbulent in den letzten Tagen, Stunden und Minuten. Alles drehte sich um unsere neuen Modellhubschrauber Airwolf, Bell 230, Bell 430 und BK 117 für Turbine. Kaum jemand hat daran gedacht meine treuen Dienste bei VARIO Helicopter mit einem Keks zu belohnen, und ich selbst hätte beinahe vergessen, den Kalender von Dave Hollins (VARIO Helicopter UK Sales) umzublättern.

Schweizer 300 und Jet Ranger

Durch den Februar begleitet uns eine Schweizer 300 mit Benzin-Mechanik und ein Jet Ranger XL mit Turbine.

This week’s papercraft has a bit of an 80’s inspiration.  The “kids” these days probably don’t even remember Airwolf, which ran from 1984 to 1987.  It’s rarely even syndicated.  But if stealth, supersonic helicopters are your thing, well you’re in luck!

Probert calls computer art, “art”

What if I was to tell you the same man that designed the patch for the Airwolf flight suits was the same man that designed the Romulan Bird of prey? You might freek out, especially if you were a nerdy boy that grew upin the 80’s and 9tz.

Why might you ask, well because those were two of the most fierce bits of graphical and tech sensability that one could imageine. His own wedsite is a pice of shit though. It’s a bummer to me that someone so out on the bleeding edge of bad assed art, would have such a low tech and lame website. I’m sure that this mans astetic vison has informed me and some of my friends in our pursit of the nerd equivilant of thrash metal in art; raw, dark, sexy, and dangerous.  Jan-Michael Vincent was hot in that gray Airwolf flight suit (but Jean Bruce Scott was hotter*), and the Romulans were the evil vulcans, and how hot is that?

The concept behind Airwolf was a supersonic and armed helicopter that could blend in by appearing to be civilian and non-military in origin – "a wolf in sheep's clothing". Airwolf's insignia patch (designed by Andrew Probert) as worn by the flight-crew was a snarling wolf's head with gossamer wings that appears to be wearing a sheepskin complete with the head of lamb over the wolf's forehead; a direct play on the saying.

Andrew Probert (born 1946 in Independence, Missouri) is an artist who is best known for designing the USS Enterprise for Star Trek: The Motion Picture and the Enterprise-D for Star Trek: The Next Generation.

After spending some time in the US Navy, Probert studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California^[1].

His first film/TV work was on Glen A. Larson’s 1978 ABC miniseries Battlestar Galactica, for which he was recommended by artist Ralph McQuarrie^[1]. For Galactica, Andrew contributed the design for the Cylon Centurions^[1] as well as building one of the physical spaceship models for the “rag tag fleet”, seen in the opening title sequence of each episode of the series^{[citation needed]}.

In 1978 he was hired by Robert Abel and Associates to work on Star Trek: The Motion Picture, where he worked as a concept designer/illustrator^[2]. When Abel’s group was replaced, Andrew survived the transition to the group of new effects supervisor Douglas Trumbull. Andrew was primarily responsible for designing the human and Vulcan space technology seen in the film, including the refitted starship Enterprise, Space Drydock, Orbital Office Complex, Travel Pod, Work Bee support vehicles, and the Vulcan long range shuttlecraft^[3]. His concept sketches for the bridge set of the Klingon battlecruiser set the style for all future Klingon ship interiors.

In 1983 Probert returned to television, working on the pilot episode of Airwolf (1984). He designed the fuselage attachments for the Airwolf helicopter, based on a Bell 222.

In1984 he worked on Back to the Future, initially drawing storyboards but then continuing the design of the DeLorean time machine that had been started by Ron Cobb^[4].

Also in 1984, he designed the motorcycle for the pilot episode of Street Hawk, which was later redesigned for the series by Ron Cobb.

In 1986 he joined the staff of the then new show Star Trek: The Next Generation where he was initially hired to design the bridge of the new starship, the Enterprise-D ^[2] However, after the show’s producers saw a speculative Enterprise sketch that Probert had produced he was tasked with designing the starship’s exterior as well. ^[2]. During his one season stint on the The Next Generation, he also designed the exteriors of virtually every other space vehicle seen in the first year of the show, including the Romulan Warbird^[2]

His film and television work also includes stints on *batteries not included, Space Camp, Mask, Tron, and The Philadelphia Experiment. He also worked four years as a Show Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering.

On February 6, 2006, Perpetual Entertainment and CBS Media announced that Probert had been employed as an initial design consultant for the upcoming MMOG Star Trek Online^[5].

Viel zu gerne wäre ich der einzige Wolf im Spessart. Aber wie das Leben so spielt, gibt es auch noch andere, die einen Anspruch auf den Titel erheben. Dazu gehört der “kleine” Modellhubschrauber Airwolf für einen Rotorkreis von 1,5 m (für Sky Fox Mechanik mit Methanolmotor) und der big Airwolf für einen Rotorkreis von 1,8 m für Sky Fox, X-Treme oder Benzin-Mechanik.

Bald wird es noch ein drittes Modell geben, diesmal für Turbinenantrieb und einen Rotorkreis von 2,3 m. Manchmal bin ich in der Nähe vom Flugfeld und höre die Kollegen reden über Kerosinstart, über Turbinen, bei denen das Hosenrohr glüht und über andere, die nicht einmal heiß werden. Die Flugsaison 2009 wird bestimmt spannend!

Auf der Website bei VARIO Helicopter in den News gibt es schon zwei Videos über den neuen Airwolf für Turbine, MGs, funktionstüchtige Bordkanonen und Raketenwerfer.

Okay, maybe it wasn’t the greatest show that has aired on TV, but it was my favorite show on TV apart other than Sesame Street when I was 4 or 5 years old. Even after 15+ years, I could still rhyme its intro song. Classic.

Airwolf is an American television series that ran from 1984 through 1987. The program concerned a supersonic military helicopter, code named Airwolf, and her crew as they undertook various missions, many involving espionage, with a Cold War theme.

The show was devised by Donald Bellisario, who had also created Magnum, P.I., and would go on to produce Quantum Leap, JAG, and NCIS. The first three seasons starred Jan-Michael Vincent, Ernest Borgnine, Alex Cord, and Jean Bruce Scott. The final season, for the USA Network, was recast.
