A “Growing” Problem

Recently, I have been moved to action with this thought…  How does our generation save the world?  How does our generation learn from the past, embrace the present and live for the future?

There has been plenty of debate between thousands of scientist, geologist, theologist, politicians, community leaders, young and old, male and female. 

What is happening to our planet?

Is the world heating up?  Are we losing our faith?  Are the values of today’s youth lost?  Are we going to run out of oil or even scarier…. water?  Are we headed toward ultimate doom?  Is the world going to end on December 21, 2012. Why is it that every single one of us has this nagging feeling that something is wrong? 

I intend on using this blog as a forum to discuss these issues.  To touch on my thoughts, hopes and feelings.  Everything I write is my opinion based on research and facts of course, but ultimately, my opinion.  I am objective, open for debate, and never close my mind to the possibility that I don’t quite see the entire picture.

Now I must say in the past several years I have noticed a call to arms.  I have noticed a growing awareness of our impact and a sincere belief from the optimistic that we as individuals can make a difference.  For those of you skeptics, yes, you individually can not “Save the World”.

However, a movement begins with a thought.  A movement begins with the dreams of one person or a collective group of people.  The civil rights movement is a great example of a movement that changed the world.  It began with countless men and women who were treated unfairly in the land of the free.  This movement was championed by Martin Luther King and his contemporaries.  Though we are not completely there, one can not deny that things have come a long way in the last 40 years. This is a movement that is not stopping, has not wavered and has changed the face of our planet.

So back to the topic.  The “green movement” is growing.  This movement, much like the civil rights movement was born out of the mistakes of man.  For centuries, man has lived on this planet with the thought that resources are unlimited.  We can continue to exhaust and use our environment and it will recover, it will survive and continue to be fruitful. 

Whether it is a growing awareness or the writing on the wall,  this generation, our generation, your generation realizes, that is a fallacy. The belief that man was placed on the earth to conquer it, must not and can not persist.

So how can we spark this movement?  What should we address?  Should we all wake up tomorrow, recycle, drive less, buy Hybrids, drink tap water, use less paper, cut the six-pack plastic rings that our soda cans come with, walk to lunch, build greener, put green logos on our TV stations, watch Al Gore’s “The Inconvenient Truth”, reduce our carbon footprint?  Pardon the sarcasm!  All of those things are worth doing.  But are those things going to cause a movement, spur a revolution, save the world? 

In America, we are victims of our age.  We are living in The Oil Age.  And just like America the rest of the developed world is right there with us.  When we think Green, we are thinking of the immediate impact.  Our culture is centered around cheap, readily available fuel.  The immediate impact is as follows. 

For the last 200 hundred years we have been using and living comfortably off of the readily available fuel.  However, as the world continues to advance and become “civilized” there is a growing demand for these fuels.  China and the United States, like two fat bellied pigs are scarfing down the worlds natural resources.  Now the effect of this is world shortages, higher gas prices, increased pollution, increased demand, growing anxiety, and an imminent crisis. 

Now don’t get me wrong, this is not due to an inherent issue of the depravity of man.  Is not because the United States and China are greedy.  This is due to an increasing need to satisfy the style of life we have become accustomed too.

Thus, with that mindset.  The “green movement” aims to provide more sustainable energy, lower greenhouse emissions, advises to carpool, walk, ride the bus, ride a bike, drive cars instead of fuel sucking SUVs. 

Now when doctors diagnose an illness, they approach it much the same way. What are the symptoms, what is your family history, what have you eaten, been exposed to, is their similar case studies, etc.  After diagnosis of “the problem”, they prescribe a treatment plan.

Now we are getting somewhere.  So what is the problem?  Is the problem that we are to oil dependent? Is the problem that we can not encourage enough participation?  Or do we have a “growing” problem?

So….even if 1 out of 3 people lived “green”, at the rate our population is increasing by 2050 we would have 3 billion conscious consumers and 6 billion (the world’s current population) users. 

People we are back at square one.  Do you think the undeveloped countries are practicing green initiatives?  So if we are doctors, what is the real “problem” and how do we treat it?

On that note I will leave it up for discussion and my next post will continue to address the “growing” problem.

The government wants you to think of Uncle Sam this year for the Christmas Season and donate some money to them. It seems that Washington cannot print enough monopoly money to keep up with the party of the progressives spending habits. So, how about it, do you think you can spare a little extra to help out Barack, Harry and Nancy with their needs?

Every man woman and child in the country already has a $40,000 debt as their share of this year’s national spending. So, if you are the head of household in a family of four, and you want to do your part to help Barack, the head of the American household, put together the budget national budget, you should immediately make out a check for $160,000 and mail it to Timothy Geithner. Only a small portion of the money will go to ACORN, the SEIU and the various pork projects of the beltway elite.

As an additional method of raising money the White House is thinking of auctioning off, “A Weekend at the White House with Barack” vacation to the highest bidder. The winner will spend the weekend with Barack practicing in front of a TV prompter, and be allowed to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom provided that Barack can persuade Andy Stern to sleep on the couch for the weekend. The package includes a dinner with Barney Frank at a restaurant of the winner’s choice. To make things even more authentic the House of Representatives Ethics Committee will investigate your winning bid and then make the investigation disappear. To cap the vacation you will receive instructions on how to evade your taxes for at least a decade. A lap dance from Nancy, or Barney, will be at an additional charge.

Another idea to raise money is being considered at the highest level. This would be a “Global Warming Expedition” with Al Gore as your guide. The expedition will include a tour of a Canadian polar bear’s territory, first class seats aboard Al’s personal jet, and a certificate from Gore allowing you to use the internet he invented for a period of five years.

So, seriously, send your check to Washington and trust that the money will go to a worthy cause. As the Democratic Party majority would say, “It’s only money!” Try to think of all those jobs you will save in the 5,118 District of Puerto Rico. Barack will thank you. Nancy will thank you. Harry will thank you. Bill and Hilary will thank you. Khalid will thank you. Sean Penn will thank you. The Nobel Committee will thank you.

You recently may or may not have seen the following exchange between Phelim McAleer & Al Gore from the movie ‘Not Evil, Just Wrong‘:

Phelim McAleer, the director of Not Evil Just Wrong, asked Al Gore at The Society of Environmental Journalists Conference in Madison, Wisconsin about the British Court Case that found his documentary An Inconvenient Truth had nine significant errors. One of the errors has to do with the decline of polar bears. Gore notes in the film that polar bears are drowning because they have to swim farther to find ice.

That’s um, not exactly true. The study cited in Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth blames the polar bear losses on a storm rather than global warming.

Now that the U.S. House of Representatives has passed the recent Cap and Tax bill, it will now move to the Senate. It is important to mention this piece of legislation as it deals with the liberals religion known as ‘Climate Change’ (a.k.a. ‘Global Warming’).

It was revealed in an EPA report this summer, which had been suppressed, just how much some of the scientists at the EPA are highly skeptical of the Global Warming/Climate Change phenomenon. Also this summer, Polar Bear testimony was forbidden that shows most of those animals have actually been increasing in population during the past few years or are at optimum levels.

Christopher Booker of the UK Telegraph reported about this testimony earlier this year that Dr. Mitchell Taylor was forbidden from delivering:

Over the coming days a curiously revealing event will be taking place in Copenhagen. Top of the agenda at a meeting of the Polar Bear Specialist Group (set up under the International Union for the Conservation of Nature/Species Survival Commission) will be the need to produce a suitably scary report on how polar bears are being threatened with extinction by man-made global warming.

This is one of a steady drizzle of events planned to stoke up alarm in the run-up to the UN’s major conference on climate change in Copenhagen next December. But one of the world’s leading experts on polar bears has been told to stay away from this week’s meeting, specifically because his views on global warming do not accord with those of the rest of the group.

Dr. Mitchell Taylor has been researching the status and management of polar bears in Canada and around the Arctic Circle for 30 years, as both an academic and a government employee. More than once since 2006 he has made headlines by insisting that polar bear numbers, far from decreasing, are much higher than they were 30 years ago. Of the 19 different bear populations, almost all are increasing or at optimum levels, only two have for local reasons modestly declined.

Dr. Taylor agrees that the Arctic has been warming over the last 30 years. But he ascribes this not to rising levels of CO2 – as is dictated by the computer models of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and believed by his PBSG colleagues – but to currents bringing warm water into the Arctic from the Pacific and the effect of winds blowing in from the Bering Sea.

He has also observed, however, how the melting of Arctic ice, supposedly threatening the survival of the bears, has rocketed to the top of the warmists’ agenda as their most iconic single cause. The famous photograph of two bears standing forlornly on a melting iceberg was produced thousands of times by Al Gore, the WWF and others as an emblem of how the bears faced extinction – until last year the photographer, Amanda Byrd, revealed that the bears, just off the Alaska coast, were in no danger. Her picture had nothing to do with global warming and was only taken because the wind-sculpted ice they were standing on made such a striking image.

He concludes his report by saying:

So, as the great Copenhagen bandwagon rolls on, stand by this week for reports along the lines of “scientists say polar bears are threatened with extinction by vanishing Arctic ice”. But also check out Anthony Watt’s Watts Up With That website for the latest news of what is actually happening in the Arctic. The average temperature at midsummer is still below zero, the latest date that this has happened in 50 years of record-keeping. After last year’s recovery from its September 2007 low, this year’s ice melt is likely to be substantially less than for some time. The bears are doing fine.

So next time you get an e-mail regarding ‘Climate Change’ or ‘Global Warming’, do yourself a favor and do some research to find out for your self just how badly you are being lied to.

The man who challenged Al Gore to a debate is furious about the content of the leaked CRU emails — and says why you should be, too.

This is what they did — these climate “scientists” on whose unsupported word the world’s classe politique proposes to set up an unelected global government this December in Copenhagen, with vast and unprecedented powers to control all formerly free markets, to tax wealthy nations and all of their financial transactions, to regulate the economic and environmental affairs of all nations, and to confiscate and extinguish all patent and intellectual property rights.

The tiny, close-knit clique of climate scientists who invented and now drive the “global warming” fraud — for fraud is what we now know it to be — tampered with temperature data so assiduously that, on the recent admission of one of them, land temperatures since 1980 have risen twice as fast as ocean temperatures. One of the thousands of emails recently circulated by a whistleblower at the University of East Anglia, where one of the world’s four global-temperature datasets is compiled, reveals that data were altered so as to prevent a recent decline in temperature from showing in the record. In fact, there has been no statistically significant “global warming” for 15 years — and there has been rapid and significant cooling for nine years.

Worse, these arrogant fraudsters — for fraudsters are what we now know them to be — have refused, for years and years and years, to reveal their data and their computer program listings. Now we know why: As a revealing 15,000-line document from the computer division at the Climate Research Unit shows, the programs and data are a hopeless, tangled mess. In effect, the global temperature trends have simply been made up. Unfortunately, the British researchers have been acting closely in league with their U.S. counterparts who compile the other terrestrial temperature dataset — the GISS/NCDC dataset. That dataset too contains numerous biases intended artificially to inflate the natural warming of the 20th century.

Finally, these huckstering snake-oil salesmen and “global warming” profiteers — for that is what they are — have written to each other encouraging the destruction of data that had been lawfully requested under the Freedom of Information Act in the UK by scientists who wanted to check whether their global temperature record had been properly compiled. And that procurement of data destruction, as they are about to find out to their cost, is a criminal offense. They are not merely bad scientists — they are crooks. And crooks who have perpetrated their crimes at the expense of British and U.S. taxpayers.

I am angry, and so should you be.

What have the mainstream news media said about the Climategate affair? Remarkably little. The few who have brought themselves to comment, through gritted teeth, have said that all of this is a storm in a teacup, and that their friends in the University of East Anglia and elsewhere in the climatological community are good people, really.

No, they’re not. They’re criminals. With Professor Fred Singer, who founded the U.S. Satellite Weather Service, I have reported them to the UK’s Information Commissioner, with a request that he investigate their offenses and, if thought fit, prosecute. But I won’t be holding my breath: In the police state that Britain has now sadly become, with supine news media largely owned and controlled by the government, the establishment tends to look after its own.

Over the last five years or so, global warming has probably replaced abortion, as the most hot button issue in politics. We can remember not long ago, when all the rage was about the depletion of the ozone layer and how that would lead to the destruction of earth. Hmm, when was that the last time you heard anything about that? The  biggest problem we have is that politicians have taken the scientific study of climate change, and used it for political means. When this occurs, the facts get distorted, people lie, and mass hysteria breaks out. The biggest offender of course is Al Gore or as he is better known at Obamulist, the “bloated one.”

Today the twisted tale of the scam that is climate change gets even wilder as we learn about scientists who purposely muffled any opposing viewpoints that were critical of the man made global warming hypothesis. We learn this after more than 1,000 emails and more than 2,000 other documents were stolen from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University in the U.K. and posted online.

Global Warming is some kind of cult, where people throw all the facts out of the window, just so they can fit in with the cool crowd.  Just turn on NBC any night of the week, and you are bound to hear some kind of subliminal climate change message (“green” is their code word for it) in all of their shows. In Hollywood, the coolest celebrities in town like George Clooney leave the smallest carbon footprints. They drive electric cars, have solar panels in their homes, eat out of recylced plates, and even fly around on gas guzzling private jets. Let’s not get started on the Europeans, the ultimate purveyors of everything sheik and sexy. How about Gordon Brown, saying that humanity only has less than a year before global warming destroys Earth. Then there’s the UN, where they are more concerned with passing resolutions on how to stop the planet from heating one tenth of a degree over the next 1,00 years, than they are in taking down tyrannical, genocidal rulers.

We could go on all day about the insanity that is the greatest scam in the world today!

This poor old hobo wants a Christmas visit for New York City from Santa Claus.  I will watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and try to spread a little cheer to the greatest city in this world!  New York folks has had so many troubles, even a politician can’t promise them a Merry Christmas!

I think it would be swell to have a New Orleans Cajun Christmas party for you folks! They got a gift wtih  music from the “big easy” that can even make a funeral procession   a celebration time to know your family can be happy your departed are dancing in heaven ”When the Saints come marching in”!  If I have one wish, it would be to see this country really celebrate our diversity with fun and music from our native American nations to our newest Russian citizens!  Al Gore should hang out with our American nations to learn how to live in harmony with the earth. I have to tell you don’t mess with a Cajun or a Cossack!  They got  proud traditions, just like our New Yorkers.

Don’t get blue or upset that things are getting worse, with more folks out of work, and losing their homes.  Even hoboes celebrate Christmas, and we don’t have much but our freedom!  That’s enough right now.  Pabst Blue Ribbon at the Bonduel Antler Club is only a buck, and I will buy a round for you folks in the best part of America, NorthEast Wisconsin!  Cheese curds, bratwurst, beer, and a good time is here waiting for you.

Sorry you folks in New York have to put up with some kind of nonsense trial for the guys that wanted you all to drop dead.  I think the best thing would be to invite all them television bums to stay away from your court house.  I don’t want anyone to hear a word them cowardly killers say.  It’s your town, and you should have a right to keep the reporters busy at the local bar talking to the real people that count.

Jag såg Al Gore försöka sälja sin nya bok: Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis.

Även om man inte förstår allt de säger så är Al Gores ansiktsuttyck obetalbart.

De senaste åren har klimatfrågan uppmärksammats allt mer i politik och media. Medeltemperaturen stiger, glaciärer smälter, havsnivån stiger och arter dör ut. Förklaringarna till varför detta sker råder det delade meningar om. Vissa forskare påstår att människans ökande användning av fossila bränslen är en av de främsta orsakerna medan andra hävdar att denna skiftning i klimatet är en del av den naturliga klimatcykeln. Det finns också de som ställer sig mellan dessa åsikter och påstår att människan spär på den naturliga klimatförändringen.

De flesta forskare är idag enade om att människan är en stor faktor till de drastiska klimatförändringarna. Flera kända personer och politiker har ställt sig på denna sida av debatten. En av dessa personer är Al Gore, skaparen till den omtalade filmen En Obekväm Sanning. På Gores hemsida www.theclimatecrisis.net påstås det att människorna drastiskt ökat koldioxidhalten i atmosfären genom att använda fossila bränslen som kol, gas och olja och även genom att skövla skogar och detta har i sin tur lett till att temperaturen stiger. Som källa använder sig Gore av FN:s klimatpanel (IPCC) som själva hävdar att det inte är troligt att denna förändring är naturlig och bevisen som finns pekar på att människan bidragit till förändringen. IPCC tilldelades, tillsammans med Al Gore, år 2007 Alfred Nobels fredpris och känns därför som en mycket pålitlig källa. Dock har IPPC ett flertal gånger blivit kritiserade för att ha använt falsk statistik och ignorerat fakta som motsäger det IPCC står för.

Naturligt fenomen
Många hävdar dock att den pågående klimatförändringen egentligen är ett helt naturligt fenomen som politiker kommit att lägga onödigt mycket fokus på trots att vi inte kan göra något åt situationen.

På Världsnaturfondens hemsida skriver de att den rådande klimatförändringen är helt naturlig. Ser vi till historien har klimatet alltid förändrats då vi gått från mycket varma perioder till istider. Balansen mellan hav och atmosfär kan skifta helt naturligt, framför allt regionalt. Det ger då tillfällig variation i temperatur och nederbörd, ett exempel på detta är väderfenomenet El Niño. Även andra faktorer som solens strålning, vulkaner, gaser och partiklar kan driva på både övergående skiftningar och mer omfattande förändringar i klimatet. Världsnaturfonden skriver dock senare i samma artikel att människan kan vara en bidragande orsak till dagens klimatförändring.

Forskaren Syun-Ichi Akasofu, tidigare chef för International Arctic Research Center vid University of Alaska Fairbanks, anser även han att klimatförändringen beror på naturliga orsaker. I en artikel påstår Akasofu att det finns en underliggande linjär uppvärmning på 0.5 grader. Denna uppvärmning ska dras bort om man ska försöka se hur mycket människan bidragit. Enligt Akasofu har IPCC fel när de påstår att den nuvarande uppvärmningen främst beror på växthuseffekten. IPCC påstår nämligen att temperaturökningen är 0.6 – 0.7 grader under 100 år men att denna uppvärmning endast kommer från växthuseffekten är ännu inte bevisat. Om man subtraherar den naturliga uppvärmningen från den uppmätta de senaste 100 åren blir växthuseffektens tillskott marginellt. Akasofu kan med tanke på sin bakgrund anses vara en relativt trovärdig källa men som tidigare nämnt har forskning inom området gett olika resultat.

Två bidragande faktorer

Slutligen finns det de som ställer sig mitt emellan dessa åsikter. Det är de som anser att den pågående klimatförändringen är ett helt naturligt fenomen men att människan påskyndar och därmed förvärrar detta, bl a på grund av den stora användningen av fossila bränslen. Denna syn på det hela är inte lika kontroversiell som de andra två åsikterna utan kan ses som en mer neutral ståndpunkt som är lättare att ta till sig och försvara.

Vissa påstår att människan orsakar den pågående klimatförändringen medan andra menar att denna klimatförändring är ett naturligt fenomen. Slutligen finns det de som är mer neutrala och ställer sig mellan dessa två åsikter. Det råder med andra ord delade meningar men samtliga parter tycks kunna belägga sina argument med mer eller mindre trovärdiga bevis. Slutsatsen man kan dra av detta är att det inte tycks finnas ett exakt svar på vad som orsakar den pågående klimatförändringen. I slutändan är det du själv som väljer vad du vill tro på.

Tenminste; als we de wetenschappers mogen geloven die in de media hun verhaal doen. Met nadruk noem ik hier de wetenschappers die de weg naar de media makkelijk weten te vinden, omdat ik na het lezen van het artikel uit Villamedia ben gaan twijfelen aan hun uitingen over de ’Global Warming’.

Belangrijk hierbij is ook de rol van journalisten. Zij bieden deze wetenschappers een platform, maar moeten ook nuance brengen in de discussie rond de ‘climate change’. En van dat laatste lijkt geen sprake te zijn. 

Wie mijn naam googlet, vindt resultaten van een eerder opgestarte blog met de naam Save Our Nature. Ik wilde een blog maken over alle berichtgeving rondom het klimaat. Nog steeds heeft het mijn aandacht, maar anders dan een paar jaar geleden. Mijn ogen zijn wel enigszins geopend. Er kan anders gekeken worden naar de opwarming van de aarde.

Op mijn stage bij het AD werd ik door mijn praktijkbegeleider al gewezen op de critici van Al Gore en ik moet toegeven dat ik ook neig naar een kritische houding ten opzichte van het doemdenken van veel wetenschappers. Graag wijs ik u op dit artikel.  En dit is niet het enige.

Al Gore heeft voor de film An Inconvenient Truth  veel lof mogen ontvangen, maar kreeg ook veel kritiek. In Groot-Britannië mag de film zelfs alleen maar getoond worden met een voorafgaande waarschuwing. Deze waarschuwing wijst de kijker op negen wetenschappelijke onjuistheden in de film.

Nu even terug naar de rol van de journalist. Hoe komt het toch dat de meeste vakgenoten kiezen voor het doemscenario? Wordt dat beter gelezen? Schrijft het lekker weg? Of zijn ze stiekem allemaal klimaatfanaten en willen ze zo snel mogelijk dat iedereen ophoudt met het milieu verontreinigen? 

Van dat laatste ga ik niet uit. Persoonlijk vind ik de voorgaande twee redenen ook niet erg overtuigend. Blijft de vraag wat de reden dan wél is.

In het artikel van het villamedia-magazine beschrijft de auteur de werkwijze van veel journalisten. De schrijver stelt dat ze alleen samenvattingen van wetenschappelijke onderzoeken meenemen in hun berichtgeving, waardoor de nuance van een geheel onderzoek doorgaans ontbreekt. Een idee om over na te denken. Niet alleen als het over de opwarming van de aarde gaat.

Wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Een lastig onderdeel in de journalistiek.

Vaak stijgt de kennis ons boven het hoofd, waardoor onze zoektocht naar een heldere conclusie niet verder gaat dan de korte samenvatting. Helaas doet dit geen recht aan het hele onderzoek. Bovendien is het nog maar afwachten hoe de journalist de gegevens interpreteert. Journalistieke interpretaties zitten er (helaas) vaak naast.

Wetenschappers zijn te vertrouwen. Dat is het gangbare idee in de media. Gek genoeg haalt dit idee onze hele beroepsattitude onderuit. We ‘durven’ niet kritisch meer te zijn op de wetenschap. Of misschien durven we het wel, maar zijn we het te weinig. We laten ons overrompelen door hun kennis.

Natuurlijk zijn er oplettende journalisten en horen een tegengeluid. Het principe ‘hoor en wederhoor’ herinnert hen aan de aandacht die ze behoren te besteden aan beide kanten van een verhaal. Helaas levert het ook dan soms geen goed resultaat op.

Ik denk aan de prikken voor tienermeisjes tegen baarmoederhalskanker. Vorig jaar nog prominent in het nieuws geweest.  De NVKP (Nederlandse Vereniging Kritisch Prikken) raadde deze prikken af om redenen die de doktoren en de wetenschappers weerspraken. Met argumenten weerlegden doktoren het verhaal van de NVKP. Toch wist de media niet wat te doen.

Het gevolg? Chaos en onrust. Ouders wisten niet of de prik nu veilig was of niet. Doktoren kregen via de media niet de kans de bevolking te overtuigen van de prik tegen baarmoederhalskanker. Verslaggevers steunden in dit geval te weinig op de kennis van doktoren en wetenschappers, waardoor hun uitspraken 1 op 1 werden gepresenteerd met die van de vereniging. 

Ook nu weer verdween hiermee de nuance. Overigens is dit nu het geval bij de vaccinatie tegen de mexicaanse griep. Viroloog Ab Osterhaus werd bekritiseerd op zijn verhaal over het griepvirus. Nu de inenting in volle gang is, zijn veel mensen blij dat er in ieder geval iéts tegen gedaan wordt.

Of het nu gaat over het klimaat, over een vaccinatie of over een ander wetenschappelijk onderwerp; het blijft lastig voor journalisten. In ieder geval een onderdeel van ons vak waar we nog veel aan kunnen en moéten werken. 
Blijven schrijven met de nuance in de pen!

Dat is de enige oplossing.

Relax everyone, it was all just a hoax-this whole ‘global warming’ thing. While I can’t say I have spent sleepless nights thinking about Florida disappearing underwater or having to wear 3000 spf sunblock, I sure am relieved that these profiteering nitwits are now being exposed.  I think it is time we get the real evidence here from the real scientists.  In this video ABC’s John Stossel discusses many of the [false] predictions global warming advocates have so vigorously championed.  In fact, I think it’s finally time we had that debate between Al Gore and Lord Monckton.

In thirteen short days the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen will be begin. Who knows whether or not the information gained from the hacked emails will even alter the agenda of the Summit. What is known however are the terrifyingly unethical practices that have been used to manufacture lies that were later  sold to a mindless horde of “warm” mongers (so aptly named by Michelle Malkin).

Kieth Johnson of The Wall Street Journal writes:

Some emails also refer to efforts by scientists who believe man is causing global warming to exclude contrary views from important scientific publications.

“This is horrible,” said Pat Michaels, a climate scientist at the Cato Institute in Washington who is mentioned negatively in the emails. “This is what everyone feared. Over the years, it has become increasingly difficult for anyone who does not view global warming as an end-of-the-world issue to publish papers. This isn’t questionable practice, this is unethical.”

In all, more than 1,000 emails and more than 2,000 other documents were stolen Thursday from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University in the U.K. The identity of the hackers isn’t certain, but the files were posted on a Russian file-sharing server late Thursday, and university officials confirmed over the weekend that their computer had been attacked and said the documents appeared to be genuine.

I wonder how much money has been spent on Al Gore’s crusade over the last 8 years? Either way, have fun in Copenhagen!

How much longer will Al Gore get a pass from the mainstream media? A little bit longer if their failure to react to the devastating revelations of files hacked from the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia is a measure. Their behavior reflects how most, especially from the left, have abetted the scientists who deliberately perverted climate science.

We now know Gore’s errors are based on the global warming fraud orchestrated by a few scientists centered round Phil Jones, Director of the CRU. Emails between those climate scientists, identified by Professor Wegman as publishing together and peer reviewing each other’s work disclose the complete manipulation of climate science and the Reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Bishop Hill provides a useful summation of some of the outrageous comments and actions. What is missing is the nasty vindictive tone that permeates almost every item.

What are the mainstream media going to do? How can they ignore the biggest scandal in science history and then claim any credibility? We already have a strong indication because they either don’t cover it or claim, like Andrew Revkin of the New York Times, there is nothing of consequence. No surprise because he was in direct communication with the CRU gang.

In accepting the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, Al Gore used the occasion to warn us:

“We, the human race, are confronting a planetary emergency—a threat to the survival of our civilization that is gathering ominous and destructive potential even as we gather here. The Earth has a fever, and the fever is rising. The experts have told us it is not a passing affliction that will heal by itself.  We are what is wrong, and we must make it right.”

Our noösphere is dis-eased. There are places in the noösphere where interactions are thin and lacking dimension.  The connections between agents are sparse. An example occurs with large-scale organization which are not accountable to any civic entity, such as:

• transnational corporations which compete with each other for scarce resources, especially in Eurasia where extreme population growth makes massive demands on technological advance
• transnational churches
• some institutions of global governance, such as the World Bank

These are unaccountable organizations — agents with power which exceeds that of municipalities, provinces and nations. There are no standards for their behavior, and no way that any individual, or any existing civic entity can make it accountable.  To use Benjamin Barber’s language, these organizations are not interdependent with the rest of us.  As a result, the energetic flow between these agents and the rest of us is compromised.   The overall result is insufficiency in stewardship and distribution of physical resources, and longstanding global conflicts around those issues.

I invite you to visualize, however, a healthy noösphere which regulates the biosphere so that our planet can be sustained.  Because I like the Earth, and I want it to be around in good shape for those who come after me.

How can we change those thin and flat interactions in some parts of the noösphere so that they become rich, juicy and lively?

We will have to learn, fast.

Fundamental is changing our systems of formal education.  Broadly speaking, young people are run through a linear, factory system to prepare them to work in linear, factory systems. Around the world, the design of educational systems reflects the theories of learning available at the time they were built—behaviorism, cognitivism, even the relatively conscious approach of constructivism.  These educational systems, however, were not designed with an understanding of how human and non-human agents are interconnected and interdependent parts of the biosphere. In today’s educational systems, uneven or no consideration is given to many of the agents involved in learning, such as collective agents, analytical software, databases, feeds, and user interfaces. Reflecting a materialistic world view, knowledge is viewed as a thing that can transferred from head to head – not as a system or a process that involves the whole person and the whole network, or as described by George Siemens’ book, Knowing Knowledge.

Distance education researcher Stephen Downes has commented that distance education is at the crossroads: “On the one hand, we have developed tools and systems intended to support traditional classroom based learning. On the other hand, we could (should?) be developing tools and systems to support immersive learning. We should be developing for dynamic, immersive, living systems.”

We will have to make basic changes to our learning systems,  in order to be able to  grow thick connections in our own neural networks, or between persons and in our larger networks.

Ich glaube nicht an die Geschichte vom anthropogenen (vom Mensch verursachten) Klimawandel. Dabei ist es Das Thema! Es dominiert die Medien, die Energiepolitik, die Entwicklungshilfe, den Umweltaktivismus, die Steuerpolitik der Zukunft und vieles mehr.

Nun sind seit Sonntag 1079 E-Mails und 72 Dokumente der Universität von East Anglia in Norwich England im Internet verfügbar. Hacker verschafften sich offensichtlich Zugriff auf brisantes Material von prominenten Darstellern des Global-Warming-Theaters. Hoffentlich erleben wir durch diesen Vorfall eine Wiederbelebung der Öffentlichen Diskussion zu diesem Thema.

I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline. Mike’s series got the annual land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999 for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998.

Vor 3 Jahren gab es noch eine öffentliche Diskussion in den Medien und in der Wissenschaft. Medien und Politik platzieren inzwischen diese Angst machende Botschaft zu jeder nur erdenklichen Gelegenheit in das kollektive Bewusstsein. Inzwischen ist die Meinung derer, die nicht an die Verschwörungstheorie, dass CO² einen Ausschlaggebenden Einfluss auf das Klima der Erde hat, glauben, in der Öffentlichkeit völlig verstummt, obgleich sich deren Anzahl nicht verringert hat.

Eine umstrittene BBC Dokumentation, stellte im Jahre 2007 auf RTL berechtigte Fragen:

Das Organ der UN, IPCC, ist längst nur noch von solchen Forschern besetzt, welche für Forschungsgeld jegliche Zweifel über Bord geworfen haben. Deren offizieller Auftrag ist es, nur Beweiße für einen anthropogenen Klimawandel zu finden, nichts anderes.

Das Thema ist zu einem Dogma in der Klima-Forschung geworden, ein Austausch zwischen den zwei Lagern findet quasi nicht mehr statt. Das ist total unüblich unter Wissenschaftlern, man vergleicht Forschungsergebnisse, lernt von anderen und sucht nach Wegen der Übereinkunft. Bei
wissenschaftlichen Diskussionen ist keine Theorie heilig, Tabus gibt es nur in Religionen. Jedoch wurde die offiziell korrekte Meinung bereits „gemacht“!

Die Problematik unseres auf imperialistische Sklavenhaltung ausgelegte Geldsystems, die Kriege die wir führen, die Millionen Tote durch Unterernährung und vermeidbare, oder heilbare Krankheiten, die Umweltverschmutzung & -zerstörung … alles ist in den Hintergrund gerückt.

Der Geist der Zeit diktiert anderes und ich habe Angst davor, wohin uns das führt.

Das CO²-Thema birgt tiefe psychologische Implikationen einer kollektiven Schuld. Wer nicht mit uns CO² einspart ist gegen uns, Atmen und Furzen, das Halten eines Hundes, die Herstellung von Konsumgütern … Ich bin für die kommenden Katastrophen verantwortlich.

Wir schauen hier bei der Entstehung einer, aus meiner Sicht falschen und gefährlichen, Ideologie zu. In Fall of the Republic, zieht Alex Jones Parallelen bei den Intentionen zur Bevölkerungskontrolle durch die Rassenlehre im 3. Reich und dem anthropogenen Klimawandel Heute. Die Sünde ist die Schuld des Menschen am Klimawandel, der Ablasshandel zur Buße sind weltweite CO²-Steuern und Cap-and-Trade, der Religionsführer ist Al Gore und die Bibel ist sein Film „Eine unbequeme Wahrheit“.

Wer sich mit meinen Argumenten auseinander setzt, erkennt welchen verschwindend geringen Einfluss dieses lebensnotwendige Gas auf die Erwärmung der Erde hat. Der Anteil an CO² in der Atmosphäre beläuft sich auf lediglich 0.035% und davon verursacht der Mensch wiederum nur einen Anteil von ca. 5%. Es gibt keine „ach so unbequemen“ Hot-Spots in der Atmosphäre. CO² ist eines der schwächsten Treibhausgase, Wasserdampf ist zum Beispiel viel stärker daran beteiligt, dass unser Planet nicht kalt und unbewohnbar ist.

Eisbohrkerndaten beweißen das es KEINEN proportionalen Anstieg der Temperatur bei steigendem CO² Gehalt gibt! Im Gegenteil, seit einer halben Millionen Jahre steigt zuerst die Temperatur, bevor das CO² ansteigt. Mehrere Hundert Jahre verzögert, steigt und fällt der CO² Gehalt … es gibt also keinen Ursache-Wirkungs-Zusammenhang.

Wie man es dreht und wendet findet man keinen Beweis dafür, das CO², schon gar nicht das vom Mensch verursachte, für eine erhöhte Temperatur verantwortlich ist. Es findet auch gar keine Erwärmung statt, schön wär’s, in den letzten 10 Jahren wurde es kälter!

Bereits im Ansatz falsche, von korrupten Wissenschaftlern zu Recht gerückte, Computermodelle dürfen uns nicht länger derart lähmen. Keine Angst!

Wer Antworten auf Fragen über das Erdklima erhalten möchte, sollte sich vor allem mit dem Sonnenzyklus beschäftigen. Und sich überlegen welcher Einfluss der Exzentrizität (Kreisbahn Abweichungen der Erde zur Sonne) und dem taumeln der Erdachse zugeschrieben werden muss.

A hacker has leaked thousands of emails and documents from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University that appear to show how climate change data was fudged and the peer review process skewed to favor the manmade climate change hypothesis.

The importance of this information will not be lost on The Corbett Report’s audience, as a recent interview I conducted with Tim Ball discussed the very issue of the Climate Research Unit and Phil Jones’ intense secrecy regarding their data:

Unsurprisingly, there has so far been deafening silence on this issue in the controlled corporate media, but in light of the upcoming Copenhagen Treaty talks, it is imperative that we have a true and open debate about climate change before we make potentially world-changing decisions based on this science. It is up to all of us to push this story and its staggering implications into the mainstream.

Until I am told otherwise I have no reason to think the text found on this site is true or false. As of today, Saturday 21 November, there have been no statements that I have seen doubting the authenticity of these texts. It is here just as a curiosity!

Global strategy. That’s the talking point we hear over and over again from all agencies, UN or otherwise, who have an interest in profiting from the deal they are proposing. Never mind that all nation-states who sign on to the Copenhagen treaty will effectively forfeit their representative systems to this global authority, deciding which taxes will be paid by which nation-state. In the end, all roads seem to lead to a “planetary regime” envisioned by the elite long before “global warming” was even heard of.

First, 30 Rock, and now SNL. If Al Gore had shown this kind of sense of humor 9 years ago, he would probably would be home now preparing his Presidential memoirs.
