Of all the new technologies that have appeared in recent years, the homeland security arena with, the wireless home alarm system is one of the most practical and useful. Without the option for a wireless home alarm system, many people would in fact be found to wade through alarms.

Little Walkie-Talkies

This is because a wireless home alarm system needs no cables to operate. All the small sensors that are placed in and around a house or businesson windows and doors are, in fact, like little walkie-talkies. When they are triggered, they signal the main alarm by radio.

No cables required

Why is this such a big deal? It is a great thing, because for someone who is at home already equipped with wire an alarm system would be very expensive and would require that a lot of damage done to the house in the process.

Many new features options

This new affordability, one that brings the wireless alarm systemHome or business means that their system can also contain many other functional options. In response, the function of options for a wireless home alarm system to hit.

Wireless Security Cameras

Digital camera systems are only one of the options available that people are now choosing to add to their wireless alarm systems. This is because these are now wireless and function on the same principles.

Your security system is Calling

In fact, theseTypes of digital camera systems are so advanced in their capacity options that you now call your alarm on your phone and tell you if one of the cameras had to move it to someone identified in their range of surveillance.

Nothing can replace a husband or wife reaction

Or, your system can simply e-mail if you do not want to bother with a phone call from him to be. Of course, today's security systems, both hard wired and wireless with a wide range of manned comeSecurity response options as well.

do you remember those times when you seriously need a reminder but you simply can’t allow the

do you remember those times when you seriously need a reminder but you simply can’t allow the luxurious of letting the alarm clock ring off loudly? Perhaps there is a sleeping baby in the house. Perhaps you simply find the loud buzzing sound of the alarm clock to be really irritating. Under these circumstances, a vibrating alarm clock would be just perfect. Vibrating alarm clock incorporates a special mechanism that creates a loud vibration that may be felt when it’s stored in your short pocket, your belt or wherever you opt to keep it.

it is a rather noisy world we live in today and vibrating alarm clocks are simply the correct answer to help relieve that noise. Some of the places where a loud ringing from an alarm cock is simply not acceptable would be the library, a lecture hall, a meeting room or just at the theater. If you’re a student, what do you think about a unexpected loud ringing from your clock in the middle of an examination room when the place is quiet and peaceful?

Now there is an even more interesting version of the vibrating clock. These are designed to be kept under the pillow and it would create a vibration string enough to wake you up in the morning! The idea is just brilliant and many have jumped into this and bought one of their own. Other alarm clocks come with an attachment that you can slip under the pillow. The vibrating alarm clock that is known as the Mega Shaker would vibrate so strongly that it would wake up you up in the morning instead of having to be dependent on the old humming sound of the alarm clock.

A vibrating alarm clock would be great for the hearing impaired or if you’re audibly challenged in a way, You can choose between the vibrating clock and the strobe clock. The strobe clock has a feature that comes with pulsating lights together with the vibrations so you can know that it’s time to get on each the intended activity. Just in case you are sleeping, you can rely on the vibrations form the vibrating clock to wake you up.

Or like the dead, your choice. Me, myself, and I, sleep in sweet peace AND like the dead. True story

Or like the dead, your choice. Me, myself, and I, sleep in sweet peace AND like the dead. True story.

I’ve known about my – shall we call it? – sleeping ability. Yeah, that’s it, for a while now. Notice I did not call it a disability. To me it’s not. I go to sleep. I sleep like the dead. I wake up, go to work, or whatever. No insomnia, never had it. No slight noise jerking me awake at o’dark thirty.

Sweet sleep. Most times. Unless, I have nightmares. I have a standard recurring one. I watched Red Dawn so many times, that I have a dream where aliens encounter like the Russians. Their ships descend, and they rappel down on the terrified people.

It gets a little weird after that, because the safe ground we run to is a cemetery. The cemetery residents come alive, crawling from their graves sites, and pushing up more than daisies. Well then, NO where is safe. I guess that’s the moral of the dream. That, and don’t let your children watch Red Dawn, Night of the Living Dead, American Werewolf in London, or Alien movies at a young tender age. Mkay?

All that, and not to mention as a little girl, I would wake up at night convinced there were demons in the room with me (shudder). The only way I could go back to sleep was to sing the ONLY Christian song I knew (we didn’t go to Church), which was from choir, called My Lord. So you can see why I don’t wake up at night. I just don’t. I sleep. I learned at young tortured age -thanks mom and dad – to JUST sleep. No matter what, SLEEP.

As an adult, this is really awesome. I hear about so many people, (via Facebook) that have all these sleeping problems. Not so for me, I lay my head down and I am out. BLISS, pure bliss. Nothing can wake me up. In fact, I used to set three alarms in different parts of the room. Now, thank goodness, I only need one and it’s set to crickets. I assume crickets wake me up because it’s not the freeway sounds I’m used to.

The freeway is right out the back door. I don’t mean it’s out the back door, down the hill, through the meadow, and THEN there is the pesky, noisy highway. No. I mean out the back door, ten steps to the fence, over the fence is the access road, and RIGHT next to the access road, separated by <del datetime="2009-11-21T14:12:31+00:00">an illegal exit from a traffic jam</del> a grassy embankment, is the FREEWAY. The noisy truck roaring, trailers banging, tire wheel crunching freeway. It bothers me not a bit, because? I sleep <del datetime="2009-11-21T15:44:27+00:00">dead</del> sweet.

So get this, I wake up two nights ago, yeah I know, I actually do arouse (in my defense the window was wide open). I hear sirens, somewhere around 4am. They started off way in the distance and get louder, and louder, and louder – then rrrruppppt. They stop. Like right outside behind my place. Then I hear another siren, rrreeeow, rrreeeeow – closer and closer – errrooowwww, rruupppppt!

My thought was, ohmygosh, they are right outside! I should get up, go look, and see what is going on. I promptly fell back asleep. THEN, I wake up again (barely) my puppy is in her crate, shaking it. It’s LOUD in the room. Salem barks, and puppy Anna is making this sad little noise between a bark, a yelp, and whine. Merufferrrffft. Merufferrffft. It was the oddest thing I have ever heard. Of course I tell her to shut up, so I can go back to sleep – which I do. I’m convinced it was self-induced because – I’m just sayin’ – demons could have been around, YIKES.

Next day, I see my roommate John, my niece’s boyfriend, all excited he is like, “Hey, did you hear that last night?”

Suddenly I perk up, because I realize, I did hear something and it wasn’t just the sirens was it? (or demons?) I tell him about the sirens. He says, “Yeah, I heard them too. I could see emergency lights flashing through our window. I get up to go see, when it sounds like a PLANE is landing on top of the house.”

I’m like, “NO WAY!!!”. It hits me how Anna was shaking, and scared out of her mind, SHE wasn’t shaking the crate, what was passing over us was shaking the crate, and the whole house. I CAN’T BELIEVE I SLEPT THROUGH THAT.

John told me how freaked out he was – it was sooo loud – all the walls were vibrating. He went outside. Sure enough, several emergency vehicles, and a helicopter – ON THE FREEWAY. He checked the paper the next day but couldn’t find out what happened (obviously an accident).

But I know what really happened. I slept through a friggin’ helicopter practically landing on our roof. WOW.

Most of you know Jason is diabetic, type 1, takes the shots. AND it is possible (and has happened) that he could go low in his blood sugar (need insulin), have seizures in his sleep, and go into a coma. Yeah, a coma. Unless, say his wife (this happened too) wakes up, calls an ambulance, and saves his life.

So imagine, his reaction upon hearing this story, “What happens if we get married, and I go into a coma? Who is going to wake up, and call the ambulance?”

For once, my special sleeping ability IS a disability. FAIL. However, my only answer, because obviously – my track record is very bad – I have FAITH. I have faith, that I would wake up, or Salem would wake me up. I have to believe I would know. Just know, supernaturally.

If a ghost can use an alarm to wake me up, ha, I just got why it used an alarm, since that is the ONLY thing that would wake me up. Then by gosh, I can be woken up. I would sense danger…. I just know it. I believe that. I trust God. (let’s not even mention NOW with him living ALONE, what happens NOW? Same thing FAITH)

So, Jason, don’t worry my friend. Sleep sweet, if the times comes, I won’t let you down. (but if we get married, we should totally get another dog just in case) I’m really proud of myself, how I obscurely threw that in.

P.S. Sydney slept through it too. Yeah, if a tornado comes, we’re doomed.

there are many styles of alarm clocks available in today’s market. A time piece can be chosen

there are many styles of alarm clocks available in today’s market. A time piece can be chosen which will match any decor or for even the craziest trend. One of the most unique styles available is the projection alarm clock.

An alarm clock which exhibits the time on a wall or ceiling is really useful. Naturally it’ll do as its name suggests and wake you up at a preset time during the morning. It will be handy for those times when you wake up in the middle of the night! There is not a tough search to find where the clock is and try and make out the time for the time is being displayed on the ceiling or the wall and obviously visible even in the dark.

Depending on personal tastes, different models can be purchased. Some models display and project the time steadily. Other models have a button which is pushed manually to have time projected on demand. Many models also display items such as the current out of doors temperature or indoor humidity.

One style of atomic clock displays time and temperature, and also contains a built-in weather station. It will show the atomic time, date, weekday, and an animated weather forecast. Some project time and temperature simultaneously and some alternate between time and temperature.

There are styles which include CD players or radios ; most also come with multiple commands so you can choose what type of sound you want to wake up hearing ; standard alarms, the radio or a favorite CD.

These leading edge alarm clock radios come with many various features. They’re available in several colours and styles to match any decor or personality. Projection alarm clocks will be sure to boost any room.

When I was a kid, my alarm would wake me up, I would force myself out of bed, do what I needed to do

When I was a kid, my alarm would wake me up, I would force myself out of bed, do what I needed to do, and leave for school. I was responsible for getting myself there on time. I fixed my own breakfast, packed my own lunch. In those days I had yet to discover coffee, yet I still managed.

My kids get a royal wake up call. I actually wake up 15 minutes earlier so I can savour a cup of coffee in the peace and quiet and allow it to wake me up and be less of a grouch. At 6 o’clock I am waking up the first victim, by 6.05 I am nudging him again. We have a whole system, he gets in the shower first, at 6.15 the next one is pulled into consciousness, 6.30 the next and so on. Once they are up they don’t need me to remind them what to do. (Doesn’t necessarily stop me from doing so, but they don’t NEED it).

Most of the mothers I know wake their kids up. Most adults my age that I know were not woken up by a parent when they were kids, they were responsible for getting themselves up. Is it that we don’t trust our kids to get up on time, or that we are more hands-on parents than the previous generation? If I missed the bus to school there was no lift from my mother to get me there. Public transportation was there for a reason. If I forgot my lunch, again my problem. I wouldn’t even have dreamt of calling home and asking for my mum to bring it to the school. Apart from the fact that she was at work and wouldn’t have been able to even if I had asked.

By the time the youngest has left for school, by 8 o’clock, I am exhausted and wish to go back to bed. I am sick of waking people up and dealing with the grumpiness – they do apologize for it when fully awake – I am sick and tired of having to be the toughie. When they were younger, they would climb into my bed and snuggle with me, there was no rush, they woke up on their own. Daycare started when we got there. Those days are sooo over. These giant almost-men are still my children, and even if I have to stand on a chair to tell them off, they still have to listen.

What are mornings like in your household?

A Breast Cancer Preview – The mammogram decision is a sign of cost control to come. WSJ. A ra

A Breast Cancer Preview – The mammogram decision is a sign of cost control to come. WSJ.

A rational review of the basic ways Obamacare is already changing the way doctors will care for you.

It therefore concludes that the tests for the first group [women in their 40's] aren’t valuable, while also noting that screening younger women results in more false positives that lead to unnecessary (but only in retrospect) follow-up tests or biopsies.

Try telling that to a woman whose breast cancer was found incidentally by routine screening mammogram. She might not be alive if her cancer had gone undetected for much longer.

But just to be sure this is all about money, and who is paying and who is deciding on how that money will be spent on care, understand the following clearly.

The effects of this new breast cancer cost-consciousness are likely to be large. Medicare generally adopts the panel’s recommendations when it makes coverage decisions for seniors, and its judgments also play a large role in the private insurance markets. Yes, people could pay for mammography out of pocket. This is fine with us, but it is also emphatically not the world of first-dollar insurance coverage we live in, in which reimbursement decisions deeply influence the practice of medicine.

Worse yet, federal advisory groups with very clear cost control mindsets, like the one that came up with the current short-sighted mammography guidelines, will ultimately be deciding you or your loved one’s care. They will make the recommendations that ultimately become the rules on how health care will be paid for. You can pay for the rest out of your pocket, or all of it if it is determined it is not a covered benefit. That is, if you can afford it.

More important for the future, every Democratic version of ObamaCare makes this task force an arbiter of the benefits that private insurers will be required to cover as they are converted into government contractors. What are now merely recommendations will become de facto rules, and under national health care these kinds of cost analyses will inevitably become more common as government decides where finite tax dollars are allowed to go.

Have these people lost their bearings? Far be it for anyone but the most incongruous thinker, but most people expect their doctor to be their greatest advocate and take care of them as best as possible. Rudimentary costs, particularly at the screening level, that may translate into a life long lived versus a death sentence, should not hinge on the statistics-driven rationale by appointed bureaucrats and academics that do not deal with patients, human beings, on the front line.

In a rational system, the responsibility for health care ought to reside with patients and their doctors. James Thrall, a Harvard medical professor and chairman of the American College of Radiology, tells us that the breast cancer decision shows the dangers of medicine being reduced to “accounting exercises subject to interpretations and underlying assumptions,” and based on costs and large group averages, not individuals.

Do you want you, your mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother, etc. to be subjected to their care being dictated by “Panels” designed to decide their care? Do you want you, your father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather, great grandfather, likewise subject to the same? Breast cancer happens in men too. And so do other diseases that “Panels” will be culled to make the decisions for how Obamacare will take care of you.

Check out the bills to see for yourself. Do not skip pages. Read every line. Comprehension is critical. It is you and your loved ones’ health care at stake after all. It is all there. Your representatives claim they read it. But do they understand it?

H.R. 3962 Affordable Health Care for America Act 2009 House Bill passed. (BIG bill, LONG load)

The beautiful thing about human nature is that our experiences are completely depended on our mood.

The beautiful thing about human nature is that our experiences are completely depended on our mood. So, any experience, could be seen as either completely dull routine or as a fascinating adventure. The best example to demonstrate this phenomenon is the morning travel. And here, it is fascinating to see how a dull action, such as travelling in the morning can be such a different experience from one mood to the next.

The fatigue facts are stated below:

One particular mood or emotional state is an extremely happy one. It is filled with positive, almost esoteric energy and everything seems to go your way! It is great but unfortunately doesn’t happen too often. Let’s call it On-cloud-nine optimism and it would give the experience of morning travel the following touch:

6:00: Ah, it is wonderful to get up before everyone else in the house.

7:00: It is a great thing to have a good vivid morning exercise.

7:08: Ah, what a delight, the train is on time!

7:28: Now I only have to wait 10 more minutes to continue the journey.

7:38: Ah, the sunrise over Zaltbommel is so beautiful.

Morgenstund hat Gold im Mund

8:13: Wow, there are so many people in the bus going my direction!

8:33: Yes, I am at the office and it is not even nine!

Then there are days where you should have stayed in bed. You hate the world and the world seems to hate you. A way to deal with it is with scornful sarcasm. The positive thing about applying sarcasm is that you prove to have a sense of humor. The negative thing is, your jaw might start hurting after a while from clenching your teeth so much. In any case, the experience of the morning travel would be more like this:

6:00: Ah, it is wonderful to get up before everyone else in the house.

7:00: It is a great thing to have a good vivid morning exercise.

7:08: Ah, what a delight, the train is on time!

7:28: Now I only have to wait 10 more minutes to continue the journey.

7:38: Ah, red clouds over Zaltbommel are soooo beautiful.

Red like my mood

8:10: Oh, look who’s here! The sad-looking accordion player. And again, she is sitting in front of the bus stop. And again, she is playing her song. The Godfather. Ts, I wonder why she looks so sad! Gee, is it because after playing this single song every single morning for 3 months, she still sucks? Hmm, I truly wonder!!

8:13: Wow, there are soooo many people in the bus going my direction!

8:33: Yes, I am at the office and it is not even nine!

Some days don’t start necessarily bad, just later than expected. This causes you to be a bit more hectic than usual. Hence, the prompt panic mood would strike this way:

6:39: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, why am I in snooze-round 8?!?

7:06: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, why is the train there already?!

7:30: Train delay?! AGAIN?!?! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, why are there so many suicide jumpers along this way?

8:50: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, stupid bus, waaaait!!!!

9:35: Yes, I know I am late! Sorry Simon!! Ufff, I need coffee!!!

Sometimes your day starts great. You are on time, had a delicious breakfast and hence a high level of energy. The only problem is, you will be stuck on the train and bus for almost two hours with nothing productive to do. Hm. Is that so, hehe?! The nutty-naughty mood would annoy in the following manner:

7:15: Hihi, look at all these people!! Especially the blonde by the window! Aw, too bad that I don’t have my M&M’s with me!!

The San(dman) in the train?

7:16: Why I am taking a picture? Oh, I am just an exchange student from Bangladesh and am conducting scientific research on sleeping habits in Northern Europe.

7:25: Hey, isn’t that a great ring tone?!

7:41: Hey Thomas!!!! What a great surprise to see you in this Intercity to UC. Lucky that we found seats in this packed train, just too bad that you are sitting all the way in the back, ey?! No matter though, tell me, what are you up to?!

8:13: Heeeey Ellen, good morning Lina!!! The bus is pretty full this morning!! Na? Ready to go to work?! Oh look, there is our friend Majella Park. Oh god, I hope she doesn’t see us. Oops, did I just say that out loud?! Oh hey, Majella! I was just mentioning it to Ellen and Lina how God sees us all!!

Fact is, you are human and as such, are bound to a wide spectrum of emotional states. You can not always be in the desireable good mood, of course not. However, it is not a crime to have a bad day. On the contrary, you might end up amusing yourself like a king, if you use your mood in the right way. For example, have you ever realized that sarcasm is much more effective and fun when you are in a bad mood? So, no matter if you are happy, bored, in stress or in a naughty mood, you should always consider this:

Rule 6.1.: Live your mood and try to make the best out of any situation.

Especially, if it is about something so indispensable as the morning travel.
