Finally, I have plucked up the courage to write in my blog post! I guess I was finding it difficult

Finally, I have plucked up the courage to write in my blog post! I guess I was finding it difficult to find subject matter, but I was surfing the web, looking for something nice to get my sister for her birthday next week, and I came across the Chumby.

The Chumby Is a cute little gizmo that is like a cross between an alarm clock and a computer. It is designed to be versatile and hackable but that does not mean you have to be a computer genius to work it close to its full potential. The Chumby, put simply, is your window into the internet.

There are two Chumbys – the Chumby Classic (picture above) and the Chumby One (picture below).

The Chumby connects to your domestic Wi-Fi signal and is similar to a little customizable computer, that has all your internet “needs” readily available at your fingertips. You download Widgets and navigate to them on the Chumby’s touch screen. There are over 1500 widgets available for the Chumby, form Email, stocks and weather to Facebook, internet radio (and a FM radio on the Chumby one), and google- all free. You can have all the information; News, Blogs, flicker, Facebook, myspace… Everything! without any distractions, except maybe form the music from Pandora playing in the background.

Sadly, my little sister wants an American Girl Doll, and not a Chumby… looks like I am going to have to save up for something twice as expensive that is completely useless!

The Chumby classic goes for just under $200 and the better but boxier Chumby One goes for just under $100.

You can buy a Chumby here. And i found a very good, detailed Chumby One review here.

There are tons of heavy sleepers out there. Individuals that can sleep through almost anything. Those people that click the Snooze button about ten times without even noticing it.

Well, if they must be awaken by sound, so they shall. There are already a number of annoying alarm clocks out there. Alarm clocks that shake your pillow, that shoot water at you, and even ones that runs away while blaring annoyingly.

How about an addition to this list of annoying sleep wakers…

The Math Quiz Alarm Clock– (Yea, couldn’t really think of something creative at the top of my head… how ironic)

An alarm clock with a simple interface that’s able to show a math equation. Now now, we’re not talking about Quantum Physics types of math problems, but we’re also not talking 1+1’s. Create an alarm clock that has various levels of difficulty depending on the individual and one that is also nearly limitless in the number of math problems in its database.

This could be epic. High school students can be forced to wake up to SAT-like math problem while college students are awaken by last week’s Statistics test questions.

The alarm clock must have some sort of number key within its body so that users may be able to punch in the final answer for that million dollars, well maybe not a million dollars, but maybe another very exciting day. If the answer is not correct, just let it keep on screeching. They’ll have to solve the problem sooner or later.

This is the concept in my head, now you reader must run with it to create your own vision. Good luck.

ถ้าเสียงมันดังเหมือนออกจากลำโพงตัวใหญ่ขนาดนั้นด้วยก็ดีสิ

And you thought The Shining cuckoo clock was terrifying — imagine waking up to this. Designed by French artist Stephane Vigny, the loudspeaker clock does exactly what you’d expect it to. When the time comes, the doors flip open, the bottom woofer extends out and a cacophonic emission of sound is heard as you angrily wake from your slumber. We can’t imagine that outstretched woofer surviving too many mornings of you waking on the wrong side of the bed.

The alarm clocks to the left offer better scheduling to get up at the right time. On the other hand, the ones to the right provide unique mechanisms to drag you out of bed after wakening you up.Getting up in the morning from the cozy bed is not easy to anybody, and which alarm clock is your favorite helper? And your choice tells us the truth about being strong or weak!

The difference between a strong person and a weak one is what they think when any trouble comes along. The thoughts that make you strong are capable and resolute: “Everything is going to work out and I can make it!” On the other side, a weak person may think something like “Wow! I don’t think I can handle it, and I definitely need help”

So in the morning, the capacity of throwing yourself out of bed reveals the strong/weak character. The weak one is in the habit of desperately hitting the snooze button many times thinking “I am too sleepy to get up,” but a tough one thinks: “I must get up now”. Eventually, it is the mind powers up the person to rise.

With different alarm schedules, the RiteAlarm clock, the Sony Dream Machine and the Neverlate 7 Day Alarm Clock provide alerts for strong people to get up. On the contrary, some people may not want to admit, many fancy alarm clocks like the Clocky, the Flying Alarm Clock and the Sonic Bomb Alarm Clock is only to kick the weak one’s ass out of bed.

How do you think that Michael Jordan hits the snooze button five times each morning before he actually gets up? Personally, I think it would be a disaster for our country if people in the White House use the Clocky alarm clock to force themselves up each morning.

If you have to rely on the run-away or flying alarm or shocking alarm clock, be alerted as you are setting an bad example for your kids. You may silently spread your virus of weakness to your children, and they could later develop the desperate dependency on crazy alarm clocks to get up. Whenever they are late, they shout that it is the alarm clock’s fault!

Surprised to find out that you are a weak person? It might not be true if you can make a difference in the morning.

To become stronger, you can start by getting up on time. Just tell yourself, “Come on, Joe, you can get up now.” And you will find that forgetting the snooze button is easy. Thinking strong will actually make you strong, and you will be tougher and braver to handle all the barriers on the road.

It is the mind power that works.
