McLean’s Mill is a fully operational ”steam” powered sawmill first opened in 1926.

During one of my recent visits I managed to catch a couple of the mill workers put the teeth of a

 powersaw to a monster of a log and slice through it with such ease. They proceeded to pick half of the log up with the assistance of a log hauler and took it to the mill’s pond. The men proceeded to gently push that log into the pond. The driver went back to collect the second half of the log, while his assistant jumped onto the floating walkway, and slowly dragged that log towards the mill.

As of last weekend I now have a display setup to sell giftcards on consignment in the giftshop at the mill. There are currently four different cards available and this selection will increase regularly.
