Totalmente destrozado por la muerte de su hermano Antonio, Poncho de Nigris comentó que será él quien se encargue de traer el cuerpo del desafortunado futbolista. Este murió el domingo, víctima de un infarto, lo que causó conmoción entre los aficionados al futbol, pues el delantero era una persona bastante sana.

“Como el hermano mayor, tengo que encargarme de todo esto y también darle el apoyo moral a mi cuñada, es por eso que voy a viajar a Grecia para traerme el cuerpo de mi hermano y darle cristiana sepultura en nuestro país”.

Con lágrimas e interrumpiendo la conversación al comenzar a llorar, Poncho expresó que la familia se encuentra despedazada y, por lo mismo, no ha querido dar declaraciones al respecto, pues es una situación dolorosa para todos. La sociedad regiomontana ya se acercó a ellos para darles su apoyo moral.

“No sé qué decir, no lo puedo creer todavía; él estaba muy bien y de repente se murió. Son cosas de la vida y espero que mi cuñada pueda asimilar también este golpe tan duro que le ha dado la vida. Qué momento tan difícil estamos pasando”, comentó Poncho, quien en estos momentos canceló sus presentaciones al lado del grupo “Piel Caliente” para hacerse cargo del traslado de los restos de su hermano, a México, provenientes de Grecia.

El Universo del Espectáculo anunció los ganadores de la edición 2009 del galardón del mismo nombre, luego de un total de 22.492 visitas a su página Web y 5.127 votos recibidos, de los cuales son válidos 4.000.

Los resultados de estos premios son producto de la votación popular, indicó la nota de prensa.

Los ganadores recibirán sus premios en el programa El Universo del Espectáculo, que se transmite de lunes a viernes a partir de la 5:00 pm por la 94.9 FM, bajo la conducción de Alberto Cimino.

Estos premios comprenden categorías de prensa, música, cine, teatro y televisión.

En el capítulo de cine ganaron Rafael Romero como Mejor actor y Ruddy Rodríguez como Mejor actriz, ambos por la película Venezzia. El Mejor guión de cine fue también para Venezzia (Jörg Hiller y Carolina Rendón), la Mejor productora de cine es Delfina Catalá (Venezzia), el Mejor director es Haik Gazarián (Venezzia) y la Mejor película es Venezzia.

Antonio de Nigris murió después de sufrir una  complicación cardiaca en su casa en el centro de Grecia, informaron autoridades médicas y el club de futbol.

Los resultados preliminares de una autopsia indicaban que sufrió complicaciones cardiacas, dijo un médico forense estatal, pero aclaró que se necesitaban otros análisis.

La esposa de de Nigris se puso en contacto con el club después de que su esposo se sintiera mal en las primeras horas del lunes, dijo Christos Tsoumaris, vocero del club Larissa.

“Todavía estamos tratando de entender qué fue lo que pasó”, dijo Tsoumaris. “Nuestras condolencias están con su esposa y con su pequeña hija”.

De Nigris jugó con el club español Villarreal y se mudó a Grecia esta temporada después de participar en el Ankaragucu de Turquía.

Larissa ocupa actualmente el 11 puesto de la tabla de 16 equipos de la liga griega con 10 puntos. Panathinaikos encabeza la tabla con 28 puntos.

Una enorme fotografía del delantero mexicano Antonio de Nigris, sus botines blancos, camisetas con el número 9, coronas de flores, un libro de condolencias y cientos de velas encendidas podían verse el lunes en la Puerta 3 del Estadio Alkazar de Larisa.

La repentina muerte del delantero del principal club de futbol de esta ciudad del norte griego provocó una verdadera conmoción.

Cientos de hinchas del club de la Primera División se acercaron al estadio del Larisa FC para rendirle homenaje.

Antes, sus compañeros de equipo, el cuerpo técnico y directivos visitaron el memorial improvisado para presentar sus respetos.

“No puedo encontrar las palabras para decir ahora lo que sentimos. Mucha tristeza y dolor”, dijo Giannis Tzimas, un dirigente del club.

“Ha sido un gran shock para todos nosotros. Un día muy difícil. Un hombre muy bueno nos ha abandonado”, destacó el entrenador Marinos Ouzounidis.

La entidad deportiva agregó que el Hospital Universitario General de Larissa anunciará la causa oficial de la muerte una vez efectuada la autopsia.

“Con profundo pesar, la dirección, el cuadro técnico, los futbolistas y los miembros del club expresan sus condolencias a los allegados del jugador, en especial a su mujer Sonia y a su hija de cinco años Miranda”, anunció el club helénico.

Según la prensa local, el futbolista de 31 años de edad empezó a sentirse mal el domingo de madrugada y su mujer llamó a una ambulancia. Pero De Nigris había fallecido a su llegada al hospital.

El atacante mexicano fichó en agosto pasado por el Larisa, procedente del Ankaragucu turco, y disputó seis partidos de liga griega sin marcar ningún gol.

De manera sorpresiva y fulminante, el futbolista regio Antonio De Nigris falleció hoy de paro cardíaco en Grecia.

Su muerte fue confirmada hace unos minutos por su hermano Alfonso “Poncho” De Nigris y presumiblemente se dio cuando estaba en su casa en Grecia.

De Nigris contaba con 31 años de edad y jugaba actualmente para AE Larisa del futbol griego.

El regio tuvo una carrera meteórica, debutando con los Rayados del Monterrey, donde jugó de 2000 al 2002.

Con Rayados entre el Invierno 2000 y Verano 2001 se consumó como goleador al marcar 21 anotaciones, lo que le abrió la puerta del Tri.

En México, jugó también para América, Pumas y Puebla, pero su carrera se caracterizó por ser un trotamundos.

Llegó a jugar en Colombia con el Once Caldas, en Brasil con el Santos, mientras que en España estuvo con el Polideportivo y el Villarreal.

En los últimos años estuvo en Turquía con el Gaziantepspor, Anakaraspor y Ankaragucu.

Mi más sentido pesame para la familia De Nigris y para todos sus familiares y amigos cercanos.

Nuova giunta in via di definizione al Comune dell’Aquila. Dopo le ultime dimissioni, Lattanzi (Prc) prima, D’Innocenzo (Sd) poi, si era arrivati al punto di dover a tutti i costi rimetter mano ad un esecutivo ridotto a sei componenti e con numerose deleghe prive di una persona di riferimento ma in capo al solo sindaco.
Cambierà la giunta, è cambiata – purtroppo – la città, ma non sono cambiati i metodi: la cena di qualche sera fa con l’azionista di maggioranza, vedi Pd, è stata decisiva per superare vari scogli, anche se poi si sono resi doverosi altri incontri con le forze che compongono la maggioranza.
Il Pd dovrebbe confermare la presenza dei suoi Alfredo Moroni e Roberto Riga ai quali aggiungere l’attuale capogruppo Pietro Di Stefano.

Ultimo scoglio quello delle quote rosa: la eventuale conferma di Silvana Giangiuliani lascerebbe comunque limitata ad una la presenza di donne in giunta. Il nome che si fa in queste ore è quello della dirigente della Regione Abruzzo Vanna Andreola.

“Domingo, you’re lucky, you got the art gene.” Alejandra complimented. “Do you want to get married?” Domingo thought, and replied; “Well, Alfonso isn’t married to Vanessa Espinosa so I definately want to marry someone so I can beat him. ” Esmeralda scratched her leg and replied “Well, I want to ask Juanita if I can stay here until I achieve my dreams and then I could go into a nice retirement villa somewhere.” Domingo just nodded in silent agreement.

In an unusual twist of events, Devon ends up sleeping with Carlos. Men, I will never understand them, especially SimMen. Oh well, at least in-laws are bonding (but in a kinda creepyish way)

While Alejandra and Juanita are locked in an intense battle of wit…

they are quickly called away for a DOUBLE birthday. Devon moves into Adulthood and Domingo becomes a young adult behind him.

“Your babies are cute, Orlando and Fioruccio are the best two young lads I have met in my life. Must be our genes.” Domingo explained. Carlos ate his cake and smiled sneakily, remembering the days before he met Maia, when he was a free, flirty young man that girls could not keep their eyes off.  Devon interrupts his thought by responding “I hope one of them can understand quantam physics.” Alejandra smirked to herself, that was a secret she was keeping to tell everyone on her deathbed, if they still cared about her.

Domingo was given a suave look, I think his fifth trait was Flirty so hopefully he will be the new babe on the block (after Carlos) but you might need to work on those eyebrows, man, you can’t go around looking like that and be Mr Swank.

“Ocne, no backspace… once upon a Simiverse, there was a bee with a really large sting and really small wings.” Juanita thought, then thought again, that concept had been done, both on Dumbo and Finding Nemo! Thank goodness she’s only practicing her writing and enjoying the view from the large window in front of her.

“NOBODY ELSE CLEANS THE TOILET AROUND HERE!” Maia grumbles, showing signs of age. “AND I KEEP SEEING THE WALLS DISAPPEARING, WHAT’S WRONG WITH THAT?” Don’t worry, Maia, Alejandra’s a trained optician in her teenage years, she can help you get some nice contact lenses.

Alejandra wants to be a Robot Cross-Breeder so she is working on the family garden. She finds it nice and relaxing to get outdoors and watch the plants grow day by day. Away from Domingo anyway, that guy has been starting to practice his moves on his younger sister!

But Fioruccio’s birthday came around while Orlando looks up at Maia. Ooh ze sparkles!

FIORUCCIO HAS HAIR! And the brothers play together in peace. Ah… peace. That won’t last, they’re Sims. “Mum and Dad love me.” Orlando stated, being the talking toddler. “And they love you too.” Fioruccio replied with a giggle and a high A flat. He already knew. Perhaps our virtuoso is trying to speak through music? Or is he looking at the nice, big, red couch?

“Let’s think about ourselves and hold hands honey” Maia says, and Carlos agrees to have a cute old romantic moment of nostalgia.

Carlos then goes and composes a song about his undying love for Maia. Talking about undying, aren’t you, like, 115, Señor Gonzalez? “Yes, I’m about that, and I’m still alive and kicking. You’ll see, I’ll live forever.” Doubt it, you got rid of your Death Flowers hehehehe. I think you may want to think about moving on before you see evil spawn. Of course, Carlos can not hear me, so he goes on living.

Instead he goes and dyes his hair red and yellow, the colours of España. And a new, more swirly style.

It was lucky that Devon didn’t laugh at his father in law, probably because (hemhem) of their secret? No, there’s no secret. Devon was too tired and the beds are similar so he crashed in the wrong one by accident.

Ooh, a birthday, whose? Juanita or Orlando? Or maybe Alejandra?

One very awkward growth spurt later for Orlando… (spaghetti legs)

And he gets one of the most interesting traits in all of SimLand- EVIL (mwahahaha) and his first wicked deed is to break the dishwasher. “Mwahahaha now you suckers have to use the sink old school!”

“Oh no, an evil child! He made the sink break too!” Carlos frets. “I should not have dedicated my married life to family, athletics and my garden, it is increasing my life too much!”

Oh, deary me, Carlos, enjoy your (loooooong) elderhood, because soon it’ll be snatched away from you!

Will Carlos pass on before or after his wife? How will the family cope with the new child?

El cine mexicano no era tan bien recivido, ni siquiera en México, ya que cuando salia una pelicula ya sabias exactamente que esperar: sexo, violencia y siempre la misma tematica monótona que siempre utilizan. Claro siepre hay excepciones, una de esas es la nueva pelicula de Alfonso Pineda Ulloa llamada amor, dolor y viceversa que  rompe con este cliché nacional y que logra una pelicula a la altura de las mejores peliculas de Hollywood, con una buena actuación de parte de todos los actores que participan, con una trama que te sorprende conun muy buen final y con un soundtrack muy bueno.

Pues es una obra que de principio se antoja por el elenco indudablemente;que cuenta con leyendas muy queridas de la comedia mexicana como Luis de Alba,Alfonso Zayas y Maribel Fernández…ya estos nombres son garantía de pasársela bien…

Además aderezada la obra por reparto cómico de apoyo (Herson Andrade,Pompín III,Tinieblas Jr,etc) y bellezas increíbles como Paola Lupi,Shamila,y otras hermosísimas cuyos nombres no sé pero que no desmerecen para nada (o sea que el taco de ojo estuvo muy bueno!!!)

Aunque confieso que lo que me motivó más que nada a asistir a la obra fue ver de nueva cuenta actuando a Jackeline Arroyo (Que es PRECIOSA!),la cual siempre me ha gustado mucho para que más que la verdad,y cada que se presenta en alguna obra si puedo voy a verla (Hasta la del Dr Simi!)

Mención aparte los actores que llevan el peso de la obra,y que actúan como Romeo y Julieta,Ulises de la Torre y Arancha…

La historia ya la conocen ustedes,aunque por supuesto es una adaptación libre con muchos gags que incluso tocan de repente temas actuales…

¿Vale la pena? Definitivamente!!!

Las casi dos horas y media pasan como agua…

No ví niños,aunque realmente no se abusa de palabras altisonantes,o sea que podría decirse es para toda la familia…

Por cierto que cuando decían los actores alguna cosa en doble sentido las mujeres del público se reían más (Quién las viera,eh?)

Quizá lo único que le ví de pero a la obra es que al respetar los textos de Shakespeare,pues hay palabras no de uso tan común,y quizá de quitarlas la obra no luciría menos y se entendería más…

Y un tache a los de la publicidad por no poner bien el nombre de Jackeline,ya que lo escriben incluso como “Jacqueline Arrollo”…

Por lo demás,si van a ir al teatro y no saben cuál será la mejor opción,”Un Romeo muy Julieta” sin duda lo es!

Artisterna och Jag…En av killarna (längst till höger), spelade med Shakin Stevens. Jag nådde honom med mitt kristna budskap samt en del av de andra grabbarna…

Vi hade ett fint samtal…

“Färjan-Isabell” sjöng på Nöjescafeet, På begäran. Per Nyberg spelade samt Leif Hermanssons. Isabell sjöng klockrent och hon rev ner värsta applåderna. “Blinka lilla stjärna där”, sjöng hon. Per sade: “Idol släng dej i väggen, den här tjejen kommer ni att få höra mycket av i framtiden”! (Har hört från många att hon var så duktig! De frågar efter Isabell, när jag är på Färjan…).

Söta Isabell, 3 år. Klänningen hade mormor Lea köpt. “Love-halsbandet” fick hon av mej. Isabell skrev autografer på Färjan och blev plåtad mycket! Folk älskar henne. De tycker att hon är speciell, modig,har ett vackert sätt, är söt, sjunger bra och att hon är glad….

Isabell sa till mej på morgonen när hon kramade om mej:-”Jag tycker så mycket om dej Ruth”!…vidare efter ett tag:-”Ruth du är min stjärna”! Gissa om det värmde mitt hjärta!!!

“Färjan-Isabell” fick sin första “belöning” för vacker sång. En dam gav det till henne. Isabell var så glad! Synd att hon ej sjöng då tv spelade in henne, inför säsong 3, avsnitt 5 av Färjan.

Vi handlade i Tax Free butiken innan Isabell och mina anhöriga skulle gå av….

Un exemple són les Cantigas d’Alfonso X el Sabio, cançons monòdiques escrites en galaico-portuguès per a lloar els miracles de la Mare de Déu, fins a totalitzar el nombre de …420 cantigas

Como es costumbre de Floppy, tenemos algo nuevo en esta sección cada semana. Ahora queremos invitarles a hacer el Soundtrack de su vida, accedan a este link y sean parte del recorrido virtual por la música. Turn the page – Metallica. Esta canción contenida en el álbum de 1998, Garage Inc., es un cover de Bob Seger. La canción original fue lanzada en 1973 en un disco titulado Back in ‘72. La versión de Metallica alcanzó el número 1 de lalista de Billboard durante 11 semanas consecutivas.

I’d do anything for love – Meat Loaf. Canción de Jim Steinman grabada por Meat Loaf, apareció en el álbum de 1993 Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell. Este single alcanzó el número 1 de ventas en 28 países, siendo el primer lugar durante 7 semanas en el Reino Unido. La versión original dura casi 12 minutos.

One headlight – The Wallflowers. Segundo sencillo del álbum de 1996 Bringing Down The Horses, este tema ganó un Grammy en 1998 como Mejor Canción Rock. En la entrega de premios la banda interpretó la canción al lado de “El Jefe”, Bruce Springsteen.

La Revolución de Octubre de 1944 fue un movimiento que termino con el régimen tiránico que sufría Guatemala. Ya ha 65 años el actual Gobierno se prepara para conmemorar tal hecho que cambio la vida de todos los guatemaltecos y guatemaltecas.  Según publicaciones de Prensa Libre serán Q7 millones los que se destinaran para tales celebraciones.

Mientras el Gobierno se prepara para la celebración, son muchos los que sufren de desnutrición en el Corredor Seco (conformado por los departamentos de Jalapa, El Progreso, Zacapa, Chiquimula, Jutiapa, Santa Rosa y Baja Verapaz).

Hasta el 08 de septiembre 54 infantes habían muerto debido a una desnutrición crónica (datos de el Periódico) y eso no le ha alcanzado al Gobierno para darse cuenta de la situación que se esta viviendo en Guatemala. Porque a pesar del estado de calamidad decretado por el señor Álvaro Colom aun se están preparando para derrochar siete millones de quetzales, que la verdad muy bien podrían invertirse en la compra de alimentos para las familias afectadas.

No soy el único y mucho menos el primero en manifestarme en contra de tal decisión de gastar tal cantidad, decision que me parece realmente estupida cuando podría verse destinada a algo mejor analizando la situacion acutal del país. A continuación palabras de la diputada por Encuentro por Guatemala Nineth Montenegro. “Hay miopía política y no existe visión de Nación. En tiempos de crisis económica la celebración de octubre debería enfocarse en beneficiar a los pobres, que era el espíritu de aquella revolución”. Prensa Libre

Gracias a la crisis alimentaria que se vive en el país, tema sobre el que nuestro señor presidente hablo ante la ONU, y es cierto que hemos recibido la ayuda para reducir los efectos de la crisis. Pero me pregunto, ¿acaso piensa este Gobierno que podemos subsistir de ayuda( sea cual sea)?

Italia donó 400 mil euros, Q4.87 millones, para un plan impulsado por el Programa Mundial de Alimentos (PMA) y que serán destinados para la compra de Vitacereal, un alimento nutritivo elaborado a base de maíz y harina de soya, fortificado con vitaminas y minerales. También la Unión Europea (UE) concedió US$ 15 millones para financiar tal programa. Mientras que los Gobiernos de Venezuela y Chile han enviado cargamentos de alimentos.

Esperemos que la cantidad de dinero donada en realidad sea destinada con fines benéficos para la población en riesgo, en pocas palabras que haya transparencia. Que no suceda lo mismo que sucedió con la donación de Taiwán durante la administración de Alfonso Portillo. Pero considero que es ya es tiempo que el Gobierno se de cuenta que únicamente de ayuda no podemos subsistir, de que sepan administrar los fondos con los que se cuenta, que pongan prioridades.

El verdadero deporte rey... Ah, es bueno ser rey...

Ah, se esperaba la lluvia y el mal tiempo con ansia, pero no en tan desorbitada cantidad. Tanto que, horas antes, en un alarde de profesionalidad sin precedentes, algunos mariquitas decidieron echarse atrás cual cangrejos amariconados

Ale, a casita, a tocar las "maracas", que aquí nos mojamos...

Sin embargo, muchos aún así se apuntaron y nos permitieron disputar de una tarde de fútbol en condiciones, un histórico seis contra seis. Eso sí, la valentía que demostraron no se tradujo en puntualidad ya que, a las seis y media sólo estaban Fran, Javi, Dani y Alejandro (que sólo vino a animar, aunque, a Dios gracias, con pantalones y no con faldita plisada, slurp…)

Como siempre, nadie quiere jugar con los blancos, así que una vez más los traidores redomados Mick y Fran, con Carlos E. “El Sobrio” se unieron a los blancos (claro, entre los oscuros son una estrella más, pero con los blancos, son semidioses). Curiosamente, hubo un trasvase en el otro sentido, ya que Elier se apuntó a lo ójcuro (eso sí, Mick y Elier llegaron tarde, así que habría que preguntarse que más trasvases habría…)

El partido empezó con una alineación clara, en la que empezó marcando Palas. Sin embargo, al poco los blancos impusieron su calidad, especialmente la de sus fichajes foráneos, y se adelantaron, con Mick y Dani efectivos en extremo como pareja de ataque. Los ójcuros no se rindieron y merced a las galopadas de Alfonso, Steven y Palas, llegaron incluso a empatar (y a arrancar el único aplauso de la tarde, por parte de una fémina que, inexplicablemente, animó a Javi…). Sin embargo, ya pasado el tiempo, Dani se escoró y marcó un gol marca de la casa para que nos pudiéramos ir tranquilitos a ver el España-Francia.

Ójcuros:

Javi: Bastante mal, pese al entusiasmo que desató en el público femenino. Demasiado individualista, probablemente un vicio que ha adquirido a partir de sus prácticas sexuales. Necesita un balón para él solo.

Eso sí, se ganó el aplauso del público... inexplicablemente. Es el Beckham del furgó...

Elier: Mucho mejor que en los últimos partidos, ya que va recuperando el nivel. Sin embargo, también hay que destacarlo como una apisonadora, ya que tuvo sus más y sus menos con casi todo el mundo, pero en particular con Julián. Diez puntos más por su control con la cara…

Veamos... una vez controlado, parto como un rayo a la portería contraría. ¡Qué idea más buena he tenido!

Steven: Otro que se va entonando en la temporada. Este estúpido mutante con tres pulmones no se cansa de correr nunca. Además, recuperó el duelo con Héctor. Eso sí, por el pecado de vacilar a Fran, Tomás le birló un balón.

Alfonso: Aunque sigue siendo un gran jugador, no acaba de encontrar su sitio en este campo. Sin embargo, siguió marcando goles y formando un trío diabólico (con Palas y Steven), pero no os lo imaginéis.

Abbel: Ha dejado los bailes de salón ahora que ha encontrado una cómoda plaza de portero. Es imbatible en los tiros lejanos, pero tiene las manos muy blandas para los fáciles. De hecho Dani le acosó mucho y perdió algunos balones fáciles.

Palas: La Saeta con Mechas. Cuando empieza a correr ya le puedes echar un galgo. Sin embargo, con su buen corazón se para a recibir el balón. Además, defendiendo mete las garras que es un lujo. Interesante duelo con Fran. La velocidad y la “garra” contra la fuerza bruta y la ausencia de escrúpulos.

Esto sí es una rivalidad, y no lo de Oliver y Mark...

Blancos:

Pichabrava Hector: . Sin duda el gol de la tarde. Para que se va a pasar pudiendo regatearse a todo el equipo contrario y meter gol (Repetir el mejor gol del siglo, ¿Es una locura? Si, si Fran va al lado con la lengua fuera esperando el pase)

¡¡¡SOY HECTORRRR!!!

Tomás Turbodiesel: Metió sus goles, hizo su labor en defensa, puntuó alto en lo que llamamos intangibles y marcó gol. Aún así, lo único que destaca son sus medias lilas. Eso sí, se vio que ayer cedía a la presión a la hora de sacar el balón.

Daninlla: Muy eficiente en ambos extremos, sacándole un gol cantado a Javi bajo línea de gol y marcando el gol del triunfo. Él y Mick son la pareja de oro de los heterosexuales.

Gol en el último minuto. Zas... en toda la boca

Julián: Se llevó las del pulpo. Al final del partido parecía una croqueta de lo mucho que había tocado el suelo. Gran movilidad, buscando los pases y los huecos.

Ójcuros, casi grises:

Fran: Marcó su gol y ya se fue contento a casa. Se pasó más tiempo increpando a la niña que había aplaudido el gol de Javi que jugando al fútbol. Eso sí, es el Guti de este furgó, de vez en cuando le sale un detalle de calidad, como un control de tacón orientado

Mick: Desconocido ayer. Si hasta marcó cinco goles. Deben de ser las botas…

Estamos estrenando Blog, y eso amerita una celebración. Es por eso que esta semana haremos un recorrido por tres de las mejores canciones de la lista de Rolling Stone.

Imagine – John Lennon. La canción salió a la venta el 9 de septiembre de 1971, producto de la brillante mente de John Lennon y la participación de Yoko Ono, producida por Phil Spector. Dato curioso, esta canción ocupa el puesto 63 de la lista de descargas de  iTunes

Satisfaction – Rolling Stones. Puesto número 2 de la lista de la popular revista, lanzado en 1965, fue compuesta por Mick Jagger y Keith Richards fue incluída en el álbum Out of Our Heads de la banda inglesa. En 2007, la revista británica Mojo la incluyó como una de las 100 canciones que cambiaron al mundo.

Like a Rolling Stone – Bob Dylan. Del álbum Highway 61 Revisited, esta canción de 1965 resultó ser abucheada por los fanáticos de Dylan en su momento debido al cambio en el estilo del artista. Fue el 25 de julio de 1965 cuando Dylan la tocó por primera vez en el Newport Folk Festival, de los Estados Unidos.

In this chapter we welcome Juanita Zanthia as the heiress of the legacy. Esmeralda has married Coby Mueller and taken his name, so she is not officially a Zanthia but she is still family. Looks like our Alfonso does not wish to approve of Devon fliriting with Juanita, or perhaps he does not want to let go of his big sister yet. Also, as you may notice, Juanita’s wearing some maternity clothes so Alfonso may think she’s rushing into this relationship a little too fast. What he doesn’t realise is that Juanita thinks life’s to short to wait around.In the other house (where I sent Juanita and Devon away on their honeymoon to do some, uh, as they say in Mamma Mia, “dot dot dot”) Maia ages up into an old woman, but she is happy that she has a nice family. Esmeralda and Coby Mueller now live here.

Dear old Maia has a bit of a Fashion Fail here, except I didn’t think it was TOO tragic so I continued. She is ready to join Carlos in her elderhood and enjoy her expanding family. Back inside the Zanthia household, Domingo was criticising Alejandra of being an insufferable know-it-all because she beat him in a chess match. Alejandra listens with a criticising ear.

‘She knows that it’s not worth arguing with her elder brother so she takes a dip in the family pool instead, meditating on what a stupid, arrogant jerk he is, and how she looks great in her purple-pink togs (not exactly what people will think she would ponder, huh?) but they are the latest technology in swimwear, so, hmm….

Carlos is immediately excited about the little life growing inside Juanita’s womb, he reckons the child will be as cute as a teddy bear because it will have some of his genes. Good luck, Carlos, but remember that you AND Devon have black hair!

CUE GRANDMA… oooh it kicked! I wonder what gender it is? Ooh I hope Devon is giving you lots of massages! (He is)

“Well mum, Granny bodies are high-mantinence, so you better stay fit!” Juanita replies, and gets Maia on the treadmill. Maia loves to agree, note the matching athletic wear, they can really bond over the treadmill these days.

Domingo, annoyed that Alejandra snubbed him after he criticised her, did his homework with all his might that afternoon, encouraged to pass her in school and get on that honour roll to show that little Alejandra who’s boss (come on, isn’t she only a child? I don’t think it matters much in this family)

Maia can’t get enough of the ol’ treadmill lately, especially since she maxed out the Athletic skill (her certificate is shown on the wall) she has felt more confident in her life and loves to excercise too much today.

Esmeralda gossips to her mother about how rude Domigo has been lately to her, saying that she really didn’t mind but she is worried about the ‘lesser-willed, less-intelligent’ family members (huh, so he was telling the truth?) especially Devon, who seemed to be void of all intelligence whatsoever. Don’t worry, Esmeralda

It’s Baby Time! Juanita brought her brothers and parents to the hospital but was only allowed to have Devon with her (here he is about to go inside). Maia and Carlos are arguing what milk they should give this new baby, organic or powdered formula. Domingo and Alfonso just have a friendly chat. It is late at night and the police excuse them for such an urgent family emergency that they do not show up.

All they do is read anyway, no graffitti or burglary from these (geek) teens. Especially as one is thinking about school and the other is thinking about the politics of image displayed in popular magazines.

The first Generation 2 child is born, young Orlando Zanthia who is an insane artist who likes pop music, Stu Suprise and Blue. He sleeps in the same room as his parents while Esmeralda, Alfonso and Domingo are still under the same roof.

Alfonso takes a fancy to the young maid, Vanessa Espinosa, and chats her up in his PJs. Vanessa is half Fijian and half Spanish with sun-bleached hair. She forgets about the unmade bed to talk to Alfonso, so she must be interested.

Vanessa tells Alfonso that Esmeralda is broke, so Alfonso rushes off and checks up on his big sister, and it turns out she is doing fine and has a new computer (Mac, Windows or Linux, we don’t know, but she likes it). Also, Esmeralda has maxed out her logic skill, but Alfonso feel jealous.

Vanessa stays and she boogies down with Alfonso when they return, while Carlos does not want his head in the frame whatsoever.

The Men Of The House bond over some fardening (that means gardening with your father, a Zanthia neologism) the native Zanthias are in their pyjamas so poor Devon feels a little strange, but he gets over himself and helps with the cabbages.

Alfonso decides to call Vanessa over and she agrees to come.

He waits and finds a rock, thinking about how soon he will see his friend.

But as they day gets later, she doesn’t show. Alfonso begins to worry about her, Domingo comes and hangs by the slide and says “I hear she had an aunt’s funeral in Valencia so it was so serious she couldn’t see you, she didn’t even have time to ring because she was so gripped with grief. She’s OK, and she’s coming to see you when she returns.” Alfonso feels a little more relaxed about it, yet sad for Vanessa at the same time.

He rings to check up on her and they have a looong talk about life and death, and he uses his intellect to calm her mind, she is very thankful to have a friend like Alfonso, but does not see his ulterior motives.

Inside, Alejandra’s chess game is interrupted by her birthday.

Alfonso, painting his feelings out, is also given the sparkles treatment. Maia plays the hooter.

Alejandra is first for the makeover room, she is dressed in blue, her favourite colour. She bears the Zanthia ‘do, and Grandma Maia’s Kelptomaniac trait.

Alfonso too, I gave him a casual, carefree look, even though he’s Neurotic (this is from worrying about Vanessa). He goes for the friendly biker look, even though he looks grumpy, that was the studio flash.

That afternoon, Vanessa comes back and rushes into his arms, thanking him for all his help during her troubling time. He is just relieved to find out she is fine, but takes the time to fall in love.

And Alfonso decides to move out so he and Vanessa can continue their relationship away from the prying eyes of the family.

It was about time Maia had a new oufit, she chose this dress. It looks like she doesn’t really care about what she wears, as long as it’s sweat and paint retardent.

Maia is ready in time for Orlando’s birthday, a private family party.

Even the ghosts come and celebrate, and Orlando has A FULL HEAD OF HAIR!!!!!!!!! He is the second Zanthia child (Juanita was the first), and the first Zanthia boy, to be a fully haired toddler. He is hiding from the camera behind his Mum.

The family sits down for cake…

except for carbophobic Juanita, underage xylophoniac Orlando and “living impared” Grandma Maia.

Devon decides to read Orlando an Art book, preparing him for the burden of painting masterpieces ahead of him. With his insanity, he may as well be the next big thing in the art world.

Juanita takes to teaching young Orlando how to walk and to wearing an alternative t-shirt to do so (perhaps Orlando may get muddy feet?)

Also, she taught him to talk, and Devon asked, “what do I get to train Orlando in apart from art?” and got “Well, since you are so keen, take care of the waste management!” Devon thought this meant teaching Orlando how to recycle, so he accepted, but he wasn’t to impressed to discover that “waste management” was a euphamism for potty training!

Grandma Maia came back for a visit this evening to have a check up on the family. Looks like Juanita DID have some cake and look what it did to her!

and she enjoyed playing ‘Space Age Hover Chair” with her oblivious daughter, who was so engrossed in her book.

Uh… what are you and Carlos doing outside the hospital, Maia, talking about flowers? Ah, yes! Of course Juanita didn’t get fat, she was excercising while the family was eating!

Welcome to the family, Fioruccio Zanthia, named after one of your distant Italian relatives, our couch potato virtuoso, which means you will like spending time watching music videos. He likes Indie music, brown and ratatouille (and Remy?)

Will Fioruccio be a bald toddler or a haired one? Will Esmeralda and Alfonso reproduce? Will Juanita have any more babies?

WELCOME ALEJANDRA!

It seems you have been born into a nice family, a harmonious one with a spirit to guide and counsel you through your years. You have been born a Genius, and have inherited your Excitable trait from your father Carlos. He wanted to call you Alejandro, but we found out you were a girl so you became Alejandra. Guess he didn’t see Maia chowing down on those watermelons!

There is one thing about quiet, studious kids is that you can never tell just quite what they’re plotting…

THIS time it was artworks… well, never mind. Thought I may have had something exciting going on there. Anyway, back to the story.

Maia is glad her pregnancy days are over, she begins to concentrate on her Athletic skill between bottle feeds and nappy changes. Also, she is well used to back pain from being athletic and a mother. With only one kid needing intense care (Domingo had done his toddler training), she feels a big weight has been lifted.

Domingo ages up into some sensible blue pyjamas. Not to be outdone by his siblings, he begs me (the Simmer Goddess) to be a genius. Because I quite like the blue PJs I grant his wish (which is also his parents’ wish too)

The birthdays keep coming as Esmeralda becomes a teenager and finally gets to interact with her baby sister (no sparkly picture this time sorry). She becomes very family orientated so she wants to snuggle the baby when she’s not crying (trust me, Alejandra was quite noisy!) but also begins to help out with babysitting.

Since the rest of that day was quite a snore (well, it’s just the kids getting on the honour roll and daily life as it usually goes on), the next day our Alejandra grows up, as bald as a snooker ball. what’s up with hairless toddlers these days, an underground nuclear reactor?

Alfonso becomes a Teenager with a black T-shirt (he doesn’t want to wear his favourite colour all the time) and Esmeralda and Domingo dress conservatively for school too. They are first on the school bus route. I will disclose Alfonso’s fourth trait later.Carlos decides to take up a bit of gardening in his twilight years, as he wants to leave some plants for his kids to remember him by once he’s gone (Grandma Maia has a painting in the kitchen). He is also trying to build up enough skill to plant the Death Flower.

Even ghosts need training! Work it! Carlos trains Grandma and Maia trains Alfonso (who is reluctant) in this Family Gym session.

Juanita’s bikini-painting session is interrupted by her birthday, she grows up into…

a rather flirty young girl! Look, he isn’t too bad looking in hy humble opinion, and I think he likes tanned girls. I didn’t have to change the outfit, this is what Juanita came with. The man’s name is Devon.

Alejandra was the next to age up- to childhood. She inherits Carlos’ black hair (yay!) and the same style as her sisters. Her third trait remains a secret.

Esmeralda was Father Time’s next victim (there is a rumour tha Father Time is having it off with Mother Nature instead of Mother Earth) and grew up into young adulthood too. Her LTW is Chess Grand Champion.

Juanita proposes to Devon while Esmeralda thinks of fridges. Devon nearly fainted but h accepts, and they have a private wedding. Devon’s traits: Excitable, Bookworm, Hopeless Romanic, Never Nude, Mooch. He likes Kids’ Music, Pink and Stu Surprise.

They move out and make sweet sweet love (because they can’t do it with all the family around, that’ll just be annoying!) but Juanita is still a Zanthia and she can still be an heir!

(ps. Domingo also became a teenager but the lazy photographer lost the photo!)

Well, last time we left the Zanthia Legacy the family consisted of two children (Juanita and Esmeralda), a toddler (Alfonso) and a baby (Domingo). Juanita takes to spending more time outside the house in the community, and gets some help from some local people with her homework, I think this assignment was something to do with the popularity of high-waisted jeans in Sunset Valley. Juanita was given the Sandy Cheeks shirt to inspire her in her studies, as the squirrel is very scientific.

Meanwhile, Esmeralda takes a shine to the telescope, even though she requests very early in her life to be a Chess Grand Master, so she must get those logic skills up so she has a chance against the opponents, who can be brutal in their techniques. They must be pretty powerful telescopes to look into space during daylight.

Night falls, and Grandma Maia returns for a quick game of foosball with her dear daughter, who can only talk about how strong she is getting from all the excersize she has been doing while the kids were at school and while Alfonso and Domingo were taking naps.

Esmeralda couldn’t wait to square off against Juanita in chess again… but I think in this match Juanita still has the upper hand, one day Esmeralda, one day…

With Alfonso going well in his toddler activities, Domingo ages up and acquires a blue outfit and a chrome dome. Mother Maia couldn’t help but get Domingo going on the right foot (or was it the left foot?) and doesn’t mind wearing her pyjamas in broad daylight, for her focus is directly on her childrens’ wellbeing.

Carlos and Esmeralda play catch under the watchful eye of Grandma’s spirit.

Juanita develops the lifetime wish of Illustrious Author (the same as my Simself) so she gets to work on her writing and painting skills. It is quite easy to see that young Juanita is getting a fast grip on the Simlish language and will be able to use it effectively to her heart’s desires one day… whatever they may be.

But she writes late into the evening, and suddenly stops and has a little wee sparkle. Maia accompanies her on the trumpet and Carlos pretends to play the drums (well, that’s what it looks like anyway) She gains the Lucky trait.

She ages up into a teenager and grows into the Zanthia hairstyle. Nobody thinks the sparkles are a computer virus, luckily enough.

The next day, Carlos decides to play in the park for some tips, and to stop him from going stir crazy.

Our two little bald boys discover the joys of playing together, since for some strange reason they can’t interact with Esmeralda and Juanita is too busy dealing with acne…

That evening, Alfonso has his birthday and comes into childhood, and scores some hairs on his head, brunette ones like the rest of the family. He scores the Genius trait too (looks like we have a family of brainboxes) Looks like nobody is inheriting Carlos’ black hair… yet. Don’t forget Maia’s LTW is to raise 5 children from babies to teens. 1 down, 4 to go.

So, like proactive Sims do, Maia got down to business with Carlos once more…

To avoid certain madness, Maia goes to Central Park, but it was not the odor from the athletic Sims that made her throw up in the good ol’ porcelain throne.

But it might have been from all those fish in her inventory… but she has a pocket bag that keeps fish cool so it mustn’t be that…

The kids decided to join Mum at the park after school and do their studies, they seem to be enjoying this particular project.

Alfonso and Esmeralda couldn’t help squeezing in some Twilight Chess (Esmeralda’s smirking because she knows checkmate is only a few moves away)

Juanita brings this boy home from school and they spend the afternoon talking rubbish, hmmm, I wonder if his dad’s the garbage man?

The girls decided to end the night by having a quick swim before bed. (Maia… your togs… they changed? Ooooooh!)

After sleeping in her togs, Maia has a little snuggle with Domingo.

And along came Alejandra, our fifth and final child!

-Sábado 12 septiembre: Reses de Antonio San Román para Luis Francisco Esplá, El Fundi y Luis Bolivar.

We left the Zanthia family in a pickle, old Grandma Maia had passed on and Juanita had just become a child. In grief and wanting to overcome it, young Maia decided to check if her libido was still intact and that the grief had not ruined it. Carlos also had the same overwhelming desire, and became excited (as excitable Sims often do) so, one thing led to another and soon hearts were falling onto their bed again as they made their love.

Maia felt a little cheered up after this. Even though she was still sad, knowing she was hitched to a sexy man was just what the doctor ordered (except the qualifications of said doctor may be questionable)

Juanita decided to take out her emotions on the nearest canvas, while Esmeralda and Alfonso continued on life without a care in the world. Juanita wondered why Esmeralda and Alfonso could not comprehend her feelings, before she concluded that they were too young, but at least Esmeralda, the other genius of the family, should understand. Or perhaps Esmeralda was just too smart to say anything in such a tense time around the house.

Luckily, Esmeralda was able to honour the memory of her great grandma by inheriting the bed, even though deep down she wishes it had a pink bedspread.

The family decided to call a babysitter and spend a day at the park to let Carlos practise his guitar in front of the people of Sunset Valley. One of the elder women reminded Maia too much of Grandma so they decided to return home.

Juanita decided to have her first ‘big girl’ swim in the pool, and she loved the calm of the water in the sun of the day, this helped her recovery (even though her moodlet never showed it)

While Esmeralda took to wrestling Anita (with Alfonso looking on, still wishing to age up)

But someone decided to inspect the toilet that evening a little too closely… or that’s what Maia told Juanita what she was doing (not good for the daughter really) but I think we know what’s REALLY going on here.

Juanita got bored and went to bed (that Carlos had brought down to the kids’ room because he didn’t want Juanita to think she was alone, they changed the sheets too for her) She thought the pigs were cute but I don’t think it rains fruit, does it?

And soon enough Maia’s waters broke and she was rushed to hospital to give birth to this young lad! They named him Domingo and he became an excitable artist. He takes a shine to pop music, cheesesteak and the colour spiceberry (which is probably just a politically correct term for pink!)

That evening, Grandma arose from her tombstone and young Maia was only to quick to see her again. Grandma told Maia not to worry about her, and to focus on raising a family worthy of the Zanthia name, and that she was already on a good track with young Juanita. Grandma’s first day in the afterlife wasn’t that great, she must’ve been running errands for Bob Marley and got stressed. Also she gives congratulations to Maia for the birth of Domingo.

In the morning, Juanita went to school fresh as a daisy, and ended up staying later to fix the boiler room (oh that thing always breaks down, why do they use child labour to fix it, and why isn’t the school making enough money to hire a repair technician? Heh, at least I’ll raise my performance to B level on my first day)

Juanita did find it almighty liberating biking home afterwards, no depending on Mum to get around anymore!

Meanwhile Esmeralda is having fun with this random boy who turned up at the Zanthia house on the schoolbus (he was supposed to be coming home with Juanita but Juanita didn’t follow him here)

Until Esmeralda’s birthday arrives and she ages up into…

This little chess-obsessed girl with clothes like a watermelon (trust me, this will change!) Her third trait was Lucky to help her win chess matches (but she is contesting against her older sister here)

And our little bloke Alfonso FINALLY gets to age up into the toddler he wanted to be, so he doesn’t miss out on any of the action! He heads straight for the xylophone and Carlos is only too happy to help.

Esmeralda changes her style and checks herself out in the mirror (she thinks she looks quite alright, an improvement on the watermelon look!)

A photo of Maia and Carlos with the two boys catching up on some television. Well, we shall leave them there as the author is getting tired and her energy meter is getting low.

The next chapter will bring more fun from the Zanthias, and will there be another bub or will they wait? Will Carlos last that long?

When we last left the legacy, Maia was pregnant again, Carlos became an elder, Juanita became a toddler and Esmeralda was a baby. This was about to change

Esmeralda grew up! Carlos could not wait to begin talking to her about the joys of wedding bells, so she began to learn to talk from him on their stony dining room floor (example of Grandma Maia being avant-garde huh!)

Heavily preggers Maia took the responsibility of teaching young Esmeralda to walk her first steps as a toddler (and hopefully soon run these steps on a treadmill!)

But she went into labour and was rushed to the hospital and came back with a bouncing baby boy named Alfonso, who scored the Artistic trait from his mum and the Friendly trait from another relative (I forgot who). Here he is with Mum and Juanita playing with Mum’s shoes (or is she looking longingly at that treadmill? Oh, you little go-getter!) He likes indie music, fish and chips and the colour purple. Great taste for the colour.

The Zanthias finally extended their home for the kids, putting them together to help them build tight relationships and become a close-knit family. Here they are all taking a daytime nap. Awww.

Alfonso gets fed well with his bottle, but tends to be slightly noiser than the girls, but is still quiet nonetheless. Here (and in the photo above) he is temporarily using Esmeralda’s cot for some reason. He must be dissapointed at the colour of the bottle, and not old enough to understand that Mum chose it.

Meanwhile Juanita makes her own way to the chest of drawers and manages to whipe the textures off the objects in the house (is she trying to hack my system… oh no!) and choses her own clothes for the first time.

“Check out my new style!” She says to Maia, who lovingly holds her but reminds her that purple is Alfonso’s favourite colour and compliments her for thinking of her brother, even though it’s more of a bluish purple which would also please Carlos. Someone is thinking of men at a young age! You can see the hair colour similarities in this shot.

Then Grandma Maia begins to change rapidly, she begins to express a lot of darkness through her art, as if she is afraid of something approaching. This happens when you’re an elder Sim nearing the grand olf age of 90 days.

She becomes heavily engrossed in soap operas, something she had never watched before, and it is considered dangerous to get between Grandma and her ’stories’

She has a long heart to heart talk with Maia, expressing how much she is thankful that her granddaughter took her into the house and looked after her (even though she was rich and paid for the whole thing), about how Carlos was the right man for her and how she was proud of her avoiding the others for him, and how well her children were developing.

She spends a lot of time holding Alfonso and watching her soaps in the bar in her formalwear, and also quite a bit of time with the two toddlers (pictures have gone missing, jeez what a disorganised photographer, I should talk to him about this!)

And, to a strum of Carlos’ guitar, Juanita ages up into a child, who must be flirty because she’s already thinking of hot stuff!

But our celebrations were turned into mourning for Grandma Maia as she aged beyond her lifespan. She doesn’t fight muh, she accepts that her time is up and she needs to make way for further generations of her family to continue. Obviously Grandma was unable to find the Death Flower quick enough.

This is sadder for Juanita as she has just had her birthday, poor thing. So, our Sims will spend the next two days in mourning… how will this affect our legacy, will there be more tiny footsteps or will Maia give up because of grief?

Aún se me ponen los pelos de punta al recordar este momento. Era el Verano del año 2000 y España se la jugaba en un partido contra Yugoslavia, en el que tenía que ganar si o si para poder continuar en la Eurocopa (a la postre no sirvió de mucho ya que creo que al siguiente partido nos eliminaron ). El caso es que a falta de 10 minutos para el final el marcador no podría ir peor, perdíamos 3-2 y la sensación de que otra vez nos quedábamos fuera a las primeras de cambio.

Recuerdo que en el bar donde lo estábamos viendo la gente se iba acercando a la barra para pagar las consumiciones, y en ese momento Mendieta , sin que casi nadie tuviera fe en el equipo marcaba el gol del empate. Era el minuto 90 y sólo nos quedaba el tiempo de descuento para obrar el milagro. En ese momento Guardiola cogió el balón en el centro del campo (mientras casi toda la gente del bar gritaba: ” a la olla , a la olla!!!, cuélgala!!” ) y con una tranquilidad no apta para cardiacos , colgó el balón al área en la que Urzaiz , ganando el salto a su defensor , dejó el balón templadito a la altura del punto de penalty para que nuestro protagonista , con sus inmaculadas botas blancas marcara el gol de la victoria y con ello el paso a la siguiente fase. Aquel día y por una vez en la historia, la diosa fortuna sonrió al fútbol español.

Recuerdo la imagen de toda la gente del bar dando saltos, algunos sin camisetas agitándolas al aire, otros abrazándose sin conocerse…

Sin duda alguna fue una de las mejores remontadas que he vivido con la Roja…
