De boulevard van Cartagena

Op de foto zie je de boulevard van Cartagena. Deze mooie stad ligt ten zuiden van het Mar Menor. Het is een Romeinse nederzetting geweest en zeker een bezoek waard. Wij zelf hebben een appartement op Lomas de Campoamor. Dit is een prachtig aangelegd park. Het ligt plm. 3,5 kilometer van de kust. Op het park is een erg mooie golfbaan. Met erg veel gevarieerde vegetatie. Lomas de Campoamor ligt midden tussen een aantal interessante Spaanse steden. Murcia. Cartagena. Alicante. Elche en Torrevieja.

Aan de kust zijn veel kleine knusse stranden. Met overal gelegenheid om een terrasje te pakken of van een heerlijke lunch te genieten. Voor de golfliefhebbers is  het een waar paradijs. Binnen een half uur rijden treft u meer dan 10 verschillende banen.

Addetto a programma scientifico, inoltre, al Coe di Strasburgo (Francia), il Consiglio d’Europa. Anche in questo caso molti di noi non potranno partecipare in quanto è necessaria una certa competenza nell’ambito farmaceutico. Posso chiedervi se già lavorate per istituzioni pubbliche?

16.11.09 Ci sarà una motivazione ( l’incarico è abbastanza prestigioso), ma almeno dodici anni di lavoro alle spalle sono molti. Questo è, purtroppo, uno dei requisti. Comunque, sappiate che l’Easa di Colonia – Agenzia europea per la sicurezza aerea – offre un incarico di direttore del dipartimento «Formazione tecnica». Per lavorare, eventualmente, in Germania, dovete presentare la vostra domanda entro lunedì sedici novembre. Buon lavoro nel fine settimana per compilare la domanda!

Un lavoro di esperto in infrastruttura del mercato alla Banca centrale europea che dovrebbe aver sede – forse – a Francoforte. L’offerta scade martedì diciassette novembre.

Si dovrebbe lavorare all’Eit di Budapest (Ungheria), l’Istituto europeo per l’innovazione e la tecnologia. Tempo stretto, da oggi, per le domande, da spedire entro venerdì tredici novembre a mezzogiorno (ora di Bruxelles).

Quanto alla specializzazione, ancor “peggio” – o “meglio” in base ai punti di vista – per l’informatico che si occuperà di infrastrutture o per l’assistente finanziario con nove anni di lavoro – se ricordo bene – alle spalle… E che dire del consulente legale?

P.s. Queste domande europee sono ottime per scoprire anche che esistono le cosiddette «Comunità della conoscenza e dell’innovazione» e che c’è un posto per addetto ad un progetto che riguarda questi gruppi…

Cuando una servidora era pequeña, no es que fuese una alumna brillante pero tampoco era de las que llevara a casa una notita de atención en clase a casa firmada por la profesora. Sí que es cierto que, en algún momento, he tenido que copiar 100 o 200 veces las típicas frases de castigo, tales como “No hablaré mientras el profesor esté explicando” y cosas así, y supongo que muchos de vosotros también.
Después de la reciente noticia en la que un profesor ha sido denunciado por unos padres por mandar mencionado castigo y que varios abogados de alicante visitarán los colegios para enseñarle a los alumnos sus derechos (y espero que deberes como ciudadano también) veo que se acerca el día en que los alumnos tomarán medidas drásticas antes las situaciones más usuales del panorama colegial.

While traveling through the Mountains of Alicante region i came across many interesting sights.Two areas captured my interest,the ancient Moorish Castle in the town of Castalla and the town of Alcoy world famous for its moors and Christians festival held every year.

The Town of Alcoy is the site of a yearly re-enactment  next planned in April 2010 in full historical costume that remains one of Spains most well known and Colourful Fiestas.

It is based on  the Battle of Alcoy in the 13th Century and is in place to honour St George the Patron Saint of the town who is said to have saved the town from the Moorish forces of Alazraq in 1275.

As the tale is told James I of Aragon led a campaign of reconquest through the region after centuries of moorish occupation and influence. In retaliation the Moors  invaded once more to recover their lost ground.However as the Battle was starting St George is said to have appeared in the sky over the famous gorge in the town to save the day.

It is a colourful and entertaining day in which mock battles are fought all over the town and where a fog of gunpowder and fireworks descend amidst the playing of traditional period music and merriment and much feasting.

It is a 3 day 24hr long festival in which 28 armies do battle and the whole town is festooned in the red cross flags of St George.                                  St George saving Alcoy from the Moors.

Being from the United Kingdom I was fascinated by the  interpretation of  the Patron St adopted both here and in  England and its interpretation in both countries.

In the U.K  St George is frequently shown as the Slayer of the Dragon but in this area of Spain he is shown as a saviour from the Moors.

The Local Church of St George at Portal de san Marcos shows fascinating Murals of the battle painted by Fernando Cabrera Canto  painted in 1921 and a Relic said to be St Georges finger that is paraded around the town during the festival.

Further South heading back to Alicante one sees the outstanding pinacle on which is Perched the Castle of castalla.

Raised in the 11th Century by the Moors it was incorporated into the kingdom of Aragon in 1244.

In 1362 the Castle was given to Ramon de Vilanova to defend against Castilian attacks and ultimately became part of the Hapsburg Monarchy’s defence strategy against Barbary pirate attacks on Alicantes coast line.

Throughout the 18th century Spanish War of succession it became a place for storage and was in ruins by 1813.

Castalla like Pamplona also has its own running of the Bull festival in August and like Alcoy above has its own Moors and Christians festival.

The town found itself embroiled in the Spanish Civil war and Between 1933 and 1935 the hill and fort was sacked by the locals looking for treasure.In recent times it has been the subject of restoration with a view towards tourism.

Wandering through the old medieval town on an early morning sunlit stroll is a nice way to start the day and each corner throughout the maze of passage ways can reveal odd surprises and treats for the senses with sunbleached bright coloured old buildings and elevated views of the area ,a coffee and a taste of the local olives is also highly recommended.Below are some views around Castalla.

The Muscat grape (known in Spain as Moscatel) is thought to be the oldest cultivated grape variety on the planet. Many different wine grapes are descended from primal Muscat vines cultivated thousands of years ago in the Middle East (or maybe Greece, nobody is really sure). The unique, unchanging aspect that distinguishes Muscat is a rich floral aroma that is present when the fruit is fresh as well as in the wines made from this grape. The distinctive rich honeyed perfume is the scent of freshly crushed grapes at harvest time. Spanish Moscatel  has a long history stretching back thousands of years. The Moscatel variety is grown all across Spain and the wines made from this most ancient of grapes come in a range of styles from sweet to dry or somewhere in between.Traditional Moscatel Dulce is a sweet wine, made in a sherry-like style (fortified) in the south as well as a golden late harvest style in the north and east of Spain. These wines are traditionally served with light desserts at the end of a meal. Less well known are the dry and off-dry table wines made from Moscatel.  These wines retain the rich floral aroma that Moscatel is known for but with less (or none of) the residual sugar that usually pushes Moscatel into the dessert wine category. They can be still, sparkling or lightly spritzy. They retain bright acidity that combines with the floral aromatics to create a wine with weight and substance that is also balanced and food-friendly. The closest comparisons would be the aroma and texture of Viognier offset by the edgy grapefruit and mineral character of Albariño. These wines are pefect accompaniments to a broad range of autumn and winter flavors as well as many traditional holiday foods.

Botani 2008 Botani is a dry Moscatel from the Sierras de Malaga region. Victoria Ordoñez, sister of the famous wine marketer Juan Ordoñez, makes this wine at the small family winery. The floral, concentrated aroma is classic Moscatel, redolent of honeysuckle and orange blossom,  but the palate is crisp and dry with citrus and mineral notes. This pale straw colored wine possesses a finely tuned balance of flavors that express a fresh and unique side of this ancient region. $21.99

Avinyó Vi D’Agulla 2008 Made in the Penedès region of Catalunya, this wine from the makers of Avinyó Cava is composed of Petit Grain Muscat, fermented to dryness and bottled with a bit of residual effervescence. The rich Muscat scent is present here but the sweetness usually associated with this grape is only barely perceived. In its place are flavors of tart grapefruit and background flintiness. This spritzy, low alcohol white wine makes a unique and distinctive apperitivo at the start of a festive gathering. $11.99

Viña Esmeralda 2008 This medium sweet blend of Moscatel and Gewürtztraminer is floral and aromatic with notes of rose petal and lavender. Honeyed melon fruit character is held in check by bright acidity. In Spain this is a traditional wine to serve during during the holidays accompanied by some almond cookies or the anise flavored fried pastries known as rosquillas. $14.99

Gramona Gessamí 2008 In the Catalan language gessamí means jasmine. This is a perfect descriptor for the aroma of this Penedès region blend of Moscatel, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürtztraminer. The rich floral perfume wafts out of the glass at arms length. Put the glass to your lips and take in the crisp citrus and green apple fruit character. The combination of sweet aroma and tart flavor creates a uniquely delicious experience. Pair this wine with raw fish (tuna tartare, sashimi) or any number of marinated vegetable salads (beets & fennel, mushroom & leeks vinaigrette). $17.99

Musva Espumoso Previously this was called Reymos. It comes from a small co-op winery in the village of Cheste near Valencia. It is a sparkling Moscatel that works its magic best at the end of a meal. It is medium sweet, low in alcohol, aggressively bubbly and aromatic. The celebrated Casta Diva is a lush, sweet Moscatel from the Alicante region on the Mediterranean coast. This bright gold colored wine is redolent of honey, ginger and tangerines. COLLA BICICLETERA URBANA
El pròxim divendres 27 de novembre a les 20h00 des de la plaça de l’Algeps (les Ximeneres), tenim una nova Bici-Crítica (Massa Crítica) d’Elx. L’itinerari es decidirà allà mateix, i esta volta us proposem com a idea fer un recorregut més llarg pel centre (Av. Llibertat, Poeta Miguel Hernández, Carrer Major del Pla, Pont de la Marededéu, Ripoll…) i anar en direcció a Altabix per acabar a la Plaça de la Llotja d’Altabix, ja que a La Llotja Sala Cultural hi ha un concert-concurs de músics joves en valencià i és gratuït (Amplifica’t). Però bé, ja decidim entre tots el mateix divendres a l’eixida des de les Ximeneres segons ens apanye.

També està l’opció de fer alguna tapa anant de Bici-Tapes per algun dels bars que participen en el concurs de tapes d’Elx (Destápate), com en l’última ocasió, que ens ho vam passar la mar de bé mentre vam contribuir amb el petit comerç local a preus populars.

A més a més, el diumenge 29 de novembre tenim organitzada juntament amb companys/es de Murcia en Bici i Alacant en Bici, una visita cicloturística per aquí per Elx (zona monumental, ruta del palmerar, rambla del Vinalopó, etc.). Si us animeu a acompanyar-nos, nosaltres estarem el diumenge dia 29 de novembre a les 11h30 a RENFE-Elx Parc esperant els companys de Múrcia i Alacant, que vénen en tren+bici.

Este domingo 29 de noviembre, a partir de las 19h en CAMON, pre-estreno de David, nuevo cortometraje de José Ramón Samper Bernad producido por Artegalia Films y rodado en Alicante. Visión propia y particular de la prostitución masculina.

La película David muestra una visión propia y particular del mundo de la prostitución masculina. De la mano de dos personajes: un hombre maduro, que busca el placer a través de la visión de la desnudez, y la belleza de un joven chapero.

Pero la historia va mas allá y hace una reflexión sobre la belleza y su pérdida a través del paso de los años, en la vejez, y como la juventud es el canon de belleza deseado y venerado. Los cuerpos jóvenes son sinónimo de belleza, y los tabús de nuestra sociedad limitan la admiración de dicha belleza joven por parte de los mayores.

El corto hace un guiño y un homenaje a películas como Muerte en Venecia (Luchino Visconti, 1971) o Mandrágora (Water Bearer, 1997), donde retratan por un lado la decadencia de la ancianidad con el deseo prohibido de la belleza adolescente, y por otro lado, el drama de la prostitución juvenil masculina en las calles de Praga.

Tras la proyección, habrá un coloquio-entrevista con el director y los actores, que será grabado en formato radio y webTV.

¡Hola a todos! Esta semana estrenamos cabecera para nuestros vídeos y continuamos con el recorrido por Valencia.

A continuación, una calle donde podéis hacer vuestras compras: la C/ Colón, y un café donde parar a tomar algo: el Café Lisboa.

La calle Colón es como la arteria principal para ir de shopping y el Café Lisboa, un rinconcito mágico con una terraza donde tomar el sol. Allí fuimos después de comer algo en el Orient Xpress.

Antiguamente, el profesor tenía la razón. Podía castigar a una alumna por no hacer los deberes y cuando se lo contaba a sus padres, éstos daban la razón al profesor. Pero el comportamiento de los adolescentes en las aulas se han vuelto más difíciles de sobrellevar puesto que a la mínima se rebelan, y son los profesores los que reciben las vejaciones y los castigos.  Hasta qué punto hemos llegado que un padre puede denunciar a un profesor porqué ha castigado a su hija al no hacer los deberes! y encima le acusa de maltrato y trato vejatorio porque la mandó al final de la clase. Esto ha sucedido en el instituto público Gloria Fuertes de Alicante, donde reciben clase los alumnos del Juan Bautista Llorca hasta que finalicen las obras en su centro educativo cerca de aquél. Como ha declarado una juez se trata de una denuncia  “descabellada” y no es sancionable penalmente; y a mi parecer un tanto absurda puesto que hacer copiar a un alumno 100 veces “debo hacer lo que me manden” si no realizas tus deberes me parece de lo más normal y todos alguna vez lo hemos tenido que hacer, porque como la misma palabra indica son deberes u obligaciones de un/una estudiante- cosa que quizás hay que explicarle a este padre, que puede que  no sepa la definición-.

Chatines y chatinas conductores… mucho ojito a la hora de circular, porque en 4 años ha aumentado el número de radares en toda la provincia, llegando a ser hasta 21 los terminales que nos están vigilando día y noche cómo circulamos por las carreteras de La Terreta.
Cierto es que ante los accidentes de tráfico toda precaución es poca, pero visto lo visto llegará un momento que con tanta cámara les servirá para algo más que para pillarnos “in fraganti” en cuanto a velocidad se refiere.

Su presidente, Serafín Doménech, es un profesional de la etología con amplia experiencia en trabajo con fauna salvaje, que después de casi 30 años dedicados al rescate de estos animales, ha decidido poner toda su experiencia al servicio de la protección de la fauna y flora del bosque amazónico litoral en Brasil, conocido como Mata Atlántica.

Este año en los municipios alicantinos se va a producir un récord:“Los ayuntamientos alicantinos tienen previsto batir este año todos los récords de recaudación  de sanciones de tráficos y aliviar así sus maltrechas arcas municipales”. ¿Será Alicante la ciudad elegida para dar una solución a la crisis mundial? ¿Los alicantinos se sentirán orgullosos al cooperar con su bolsillo  ayudando a que  este problema mundial que a todos nos afectan se acabe?. Pues va a ser que no.

El presidente de Automovilistas Europeos Asociados, Mario Arnaldo, denunció ayer el “afán recaudatorio, se están usando las multas para nivelar los presupuestos municipales y se están convirtiendo en un impuesto más”. Y es que se dice que el problema radica del progresivo deterioro del mercado inmobiliarioy  las multas de tráfico son  una vía de escape para reactivar la liquidez municipal.

Cuidado porque  según los titutalares de los periódicos alicantinos “los ayuntamientos de la provincia prevén cerrar el año con 27.ooo sanciones más que 2008 para hacer frente a su falta de liquidez por la falta de contruscción”. Así que se acabó salir con la hora justa de casa para ir a trabajar  y aparcar encima de un bordillo, ahora deberemos de madrugar más y aparcar bien para no tener que dar demasiado trabajo al cuerpo de policía, y por supuesto madrugaremos para llegar puntual a nuestro oficio  y que no nos despidan porque entonces es cuando jamás saldremos de la crisis.

El próximo sábado 28 de noviembre tendrá lugar el seminario “Desarme y retención de arma corta”. Empleando la metodología de entrenamiento y conceptos  característicos del Systema, los participantes podrán aprender a desarrollar las habilidades requeridas para actuar en situaciones de combate en corta distancia con arma corta de fuego.

Damos una vuelta y decidimos comprarnos unos cómics en Futurama, el templo de la novela gráfica. Las elecciones del día fueron: “Primeras Veces” 10 relatos eróticos de Ed. La Cúpula y Pizzeria Kamikaze.

Después de eso, a Ale y a mí nos entra un hambre feroz, así que buscamos un sitio para comer. Os recomendamos:

- Orient Xpress: 11 euros menú y unos exquisitos fideos japoneses (udon)
- La Mandrágora: Un colectivo vegano, algo difícil de encontrar, pero que vale la pena. Se puede comer exquisitamente por unos 7 euros entre semana. Está entre la Calle Portal de Valldigna esquina con la Calle Mare Vella.
