Hi, it’s WEEKEND!!!! I’m glad you guys liked the little drawing. I do this just for fun (or in math

Hi, it’s WEEKEND!!!!

I’m glad you guys liked the little drawing. I do this just for fun (or in math class…*koff, koff*), so I’m really happy to see that people enjoy them. ^_^

And as for my last post…I can’t believe that there’s some *gasp* Coffee-Haters! OMG…I’m going to sue you guys.

I saw ‘New Moon’ yesterday (well, more ‘Tentation’ because it was the French version). We were the first to see it in our city because we were with the school and the movie theater was opened just for us.

I don’t know about you, but (please don’t hate me!) I’m not really a fan of Twilight. I think I prefer Harry Potter: it’s funnier, lighter…

I was watching the movie and thinking the whole time:

-‘When will the action come??? Just stop kissing the girl and go kill Victoria, you stupid vampire!’

Anyway…it was better than having sciences.

I realized some people were saying that seeing how other bloggers are always eating ‘healthy’ and don’t have treats/sweets *koff, koff* makes them reluctant to post their eats or feel ashamed.

O_O!

Don’t be!

I do enjoy ice cream, but just don’t post it because:

By the time I will have taken the pictures, my ice cream will have melted (I hate melted ice cream…biggest pet peeve ever!)

I don’t have the abilitie to make perfectly rounded scoops and I’ll be sued by the ICLN (Ice Cream Lovers Nation)

So here’s 2 of my favorite ‘Processed/Added Sugar/Non-Organic’ cereals that I love!

Bowl of ‘Blueberry Muffin’ Mini-Wheats

Drowned in soymilk with persimmon on the side…

I can’t believe some of you have access to persimmons at $2 for 8 or even $1 for 5…SO UNFAIR.

All-Bran ‘Honey Nut Flavour’ Cereal

Drowned in soymilk with sliced banana

Yeah, sometimes I don’t feel like eating organic cereals or protein-packed cereal.

In fact, I think Kashi Go lean taste like…FiberOne-minus-the-hearty-flavour and air. I much prefer eating just plain FiberOne. The Kashi Go lean Crunch is okay. The Kashi Almond Flax is my favourite among the 3 I have tried. I still have the ‘Cinnamon Harvest’ in my cupboard, waiting to be eaten…

What’s YOUR favorite Regular/Sweet/Non-Organic/Cheap cereal???

I went to my FAMILY doctor Wednesday. I showed him the blood test/vital signs results that the ED doctor took, and he said everything was perfectly normal:

Pression is normal (I told him the ED doctor wants me at 120/80 and he said that’s stupid, because for my height it’s almost impossible)

No anemia

No vitamin deficiency…I actually have a higher level of Iron and Magnesium, (the ED doctor told me because my body is ‘debalanced’: I was 0.99 and the normal range goes to 0.98…O_O) but he told me to not worry about that (0.01 is not at all significant).

It’s just really pissing me off. Two doctors telling two complete different stories, but I’m under the care of the one that I hate. And I’ll go to court in a few weeks, because my case got called and the ED team wants to hold me for the next 6 months by telling the judge how ‘unstable and fragile’ I am…I don’t stand a chance, the ‘justice’ and the doctors work together, the court is just a disguise to have the autorisation to keep me as long as they want.

Sometimes, I blame the blogging community to have convinced me to go to a doctor… I know, it’s not fair for you. I’m responsible for my own actions, I just didn’t get lucky and found a doctor that likes to sue people.

By being with them, I really feel entitled with an ED. I don’t want it in my life and they think they are helping me chasing it, but they do the exact opposite! Everytime I go see them, I am weighed, checked…I’m dead scared the day before an appointement and so stressed, I can’t think of anything else! I hate people that are like Oh-I’m-helping-you-it’s-for-your-health when they are not helping at all. In fact, they are letting ED stay. Or at least, it stays the day I have an appointement.

But don’t worry, the rest of the week I’m having fun

I have been on a ‘Applesauce cranberry’ kick lately:

Applesauce cranberry Oatmeal

Applesauce, Yogurt, Flaxseed, Craisins, cinnamon, …

Is it because I like applesauce? Or because I like craisins?

…Nah, it’s just because, well, it’s so pretty! *hides*

And to finish this post, (because everything has an end…)

The fabulous Heather has a fabulous Giveaway!

Happy it’s Friday that is! Happy the working week is over and I’m sitting with a glass of vino, listening to my beloved Kings of Leon with little plans for the weekend . Happy that Adam might be coming home next week too!!!

Cross your fingers for me.

Lenton Brae in case you are wondering.

So I made it to the gym this morning and knocked out some cardio! Here’s my workout:

10 mins Elliptical intervals

10 mins Stairmaster intervals

10 mins 5k/h walk at 15% incline (by far the toughest!)

10 mins seated bike level 5

stretching

I didn’t have time to do my abs as planned because mum’s pump class finished early. I’m going to yoga in the morning though so I should get a good core workout there! Before heading to the gym I had a handful of nut clusters for some fuel.

Brekkie was a serve of All Bran, probably 1.5 serves

30 seconds later… Soggy – meh!

My morning snack was another muesli bread – Mmmmmm, I imagined it spread with peanut butter this morning… PB mission tomorrow morning! And lunch, well that was pretty meh too unfortunately . I met up with my friend Louisa at Schmears and I only had $5 cash and didn’t have time to get to the ATM so I just ordered a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich on rye bread. Well I thought it would be simple and yum but it was just ok. The cheese was pretty non existent and flavourless. No photo either as I was in such a rush I forgot my camera. We ended up having to do lunch early at the last minute because I got scheduled a meeting for 1.30pm, grrrr.

Afternoon snack was just a Freedom bar

and now at home I just had some cottage cheese and a few Mary’s crackers.

Off to make a nice dinner.

Ciao!

Hi guys! First up a big thanks to my readers Emily and Emma over in Adelaide for their help with my

Hi guys!

First up a big thanks to my readers Emily and Emma over in Adelaide for their help with my Peanut Butter situation! I will be going to the health food store over in Crawley in search of the grinder on the weekend . Hopefully PB returns to my life soon!

This morning I got up at 5.15am to go to the gym with my mum. Mum went to pump and I went to spinning. Before I left I got all my gear organised for the day and snacked on this

which I popped in the toaster for about 30 seconds to warm it up! Yum, yum and perfect workout fuel!

I especially loved the pepitas! Spinning rocked and was over done with in 45 minutes then I ate a serve of All Bran while getting ready at my parents place.

For lunch I packed my leftover stirfry from last night which was just as good today! I met up with Claire and we ate our lunch together and enjoyed the balmy 34 degree day. Then we went to the TAB to pick up her winnings from the Melbourne Cup. She won $50!

My snacks were a Freedom bar mid morning

and some Mary’s crackers in the afternoon

and a small Fugi apple.

After work I went to Woolies in the city and picked up some supplies including some walnuts for a dinner I’m planning for tomorrow night. I snacked on a handful and I walked back to mum and dad’s place.

Once home I snacked on a couple of pieces of celery while I prepped dinner.

with some cottage cheese.

So for dinner I baked the fingerling potatoes that I bought at the markets on Saturday. I seasoned them with some Italian seasoning, salt and pepper and a tiny spray of Canola cooking spray.

I cooked them for about 45 minutes at 250 degrees which turned out perfect! I also baked a piece of Dhufish that I defrosted with some Nando’s Lemon and Herb sauce. Plus I steamed my other cob of corn and some broccoli.

My plate

But this filled me up really quick and I only finished the potatoes and fish and left half the corn cob and the big piece of broccoli.

Dessert was some frozen berries which I kept frozen for once. Usually I nuke my berries but it’s hot tonight and they tasted great!

Raspberries are definitely my favourite berry! What is your favourite berry?

So now that my computer has restarted without me knowing I lost my entire post so I’m gonna tr

So now that my computer has restarted without me knowing I lost my entire post so I’m gonna try this again…

I was finally able to get up and run this morning. I woke up at 7am, and my body got up, but my eyes were still asleep. I felt like a zombie. I was walking around, but my eyes felt like they were glued shut. I looked outside and saw it wasn’t raining so I quickly did my morning routine because it looked like it was going to start raining at any minute. My morning routine was:

2 sets 60 reps leg lifts

3 sets 20 reps knelling push-ups

Today I wanted to accomplish 7 miles with speed intervals, and I was able to do just that. I have never done speed intervals before, and I thought it would be good for me. I have to say this was the hardest I have ever pushed myself running. I did 2 miles at regular pace, 1 mile fast, 1 mile regular pace, 1 mile fast, 1 mile regular pace, 1 mile fast, and the last .4 miles at regular pace to cool down. I wouldn’t normally put my stats for 7 miles, but I wanted to show you the differences in paces.

Distance: 7.4miles

Time: 1:03:23

Average Pace: 8:34/mile

Mile 1: 9:03

Mile 2: 9:16

Mile 3: 7:58

Mile 4: 9:15

Mile 5: 8:03 (had to stop 2 times for traffic)

Mile 6: 8:45

Mile 7: 7:33

Last .4 mile: 3:30

All three of my fast miles had some sort of hills in them. Whether it was a slow small incline or a fast steep incline. I always try to incorporate hills in my run. The last fast mile only had a small hill so that is probably why the time was so much faster. The temperature here has raised a bit from yesterday and it is much warmer. It was a nice temperature for my run, but I wore 3/4 pants, and around mile 5 I was wishing I had worn shorts.

I always stretch after my run. I usually do it because I know its good for me, but today I need it. When I was finished running my body felt stiff and sore. I knew I had pushed myself hard. I spent a while stretching my quads, hamstrings, back, and stomach. Those seemed to be the most tight.

Breakfast today was simple because of course I was running behind.
I did the warm cereal thing again, but with milk. I had a 1/2 C All Bran Flakes, 1/2 C Kashi Go Lean Crunch, 1/2 C Fat Free Milk, and 1 Tbs Peanut Butter. I microwaved until warm.

Honestly I don’t think this would have been good without the peanut butter. The All Bran gave it a weird taste, but the peanut butter covered it up.

I also enjoyed a kiwi on the side.

And my Cubano Roast coffee. (with a change…keep reading)

A great post run breakfast if you ask me.

Ok now for some bad news. I’ve been avoiding this for quite some time, but I think I need to do something about it. Every morning I have coffee, and every morning I use 2 Tbs of Coffee Mate Dairy Free creamer. I love the way it makes my coffee taste. I used to use all those flavored creamers, but knew how bad they were for me so I switched to milk, and that made it too watery, and then switched to the coffee mate dairy free creamer which made it just right. It was low in calories so I thought it would be ok. Plus I only use a little each day. But recently I have been reading such horrible things about hydrogenated oils, and I decided to look at the ingredients on my coffee creamer.

And Oh NO…partially hydrogenated oil is the SECOND ingredient. Not only that, but the ingredient list is way too long with way too many unknown ingredients. Not good at all. So I knew I needed to do something about this, and I have known this for a while. But today I decided to make a big step and stop using it all together.

Good bye Coffee Mate!

This morning I just used some fat free milk in my coffee. And to be honest it was actually pretty good. This Cubano Roast is so strong that the milk didn’t water it down. Maybe this CAN be a good thing.

It’s Official. I am officially signed up for Fitbloggin ‘10!!!! It’s great to hear other people in the MD/DC area will be attending Fitbloggin ‘10 too. I can’t wait to meet everyone!!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!

Hi lovelies!

Can you guess by those ingredients what’s today’s recipe????

Yes…like I promised to you:

‘Reverse Deluxe Carrot Cake’ Oat Bran recipe!

Reverse, because the frosting is IN the bowl and the coconut is ON top.

Deluxe, because everything with coconut deserve this title.

There’s a lot of ‘carrot cake’ oat bran recipe out here, I know mine isn’t really necessary, but I wanted to have my own :p

It has an ingredient other recipes don’t have, huhuhu…

And, of course, if you had this at breakfast, then at snack time you must have…

Carrot Cake Clif Bar

I know…I am so predictable! <3

*This is out of the subject but the pic of the bar is taken by the new Sony T-900 camera…When my mom doesn’t hid it (it’s her camera), I take the pic with it, but it’s rare. Although when I use it, I don’t need to use photoshop to add lightening and everything, I love it! Highly recommended

I can’t really do a ‘proper’ post because I’m quite busy with school now, so I’m just going to throw some eats:

All-Bran Cereal n’ Cherry Parfait

And to finish…What’s a post without a sammie? :p

Classic Turkey Mustard Sammie and Cauliflower w/ salsa

Little story:

A few days ago, when my mom was giving me a massage, she said:

-‘Your waist is not so small after all…’

I already can hear you:

-‘That’s was very inappropriate from her!’

-‘Don’t listen to this!’

-‘Stay strong, girl!’

Haha I can assure you, I don’t really care about her comment. After all, who care’s if my waist is tiny or not?

My mom is somebody who doesn’t like to lie. She’s very straight, sometimes too much. There’s time where I wish she was more soft and delicate, but sometimes, I think that’s okay because I need to hear the truth, not just what I want to hear.

Maybe that’s why our relation is so complicated. When we fight, it’s very, very intense. Like world’s war.

Anyway…I think I should not let her words get to me

Lots of love

xoxo

EDIT: I FINALLY corrected the link for the recipe…sorry, I didn’t know it wasn’t working!

An old recipe from childhood – and it’s still as good now as it was then!

Ingredients

1 cup Asda’s High Bran Cereal (this recipe was originally made with Kellogg’s All Bran, but that isn’t vegan – they use animal products in the manufacture of the vitamin D3. The Asda version is vegan, and a lot cheaper)

1 cup soya milk

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup raisins

1 cup self-raising flour

Method

1. Soak High Bran, sugar and raisins in soya milk until High Bran is soft (overnight, or for 3-4 hours)

2. Add flour, and mix well.

3. Spoon into a greased loaf tin.

4. Cook in oven at 180C for 1hr. Check if cooked – may need up to 20 minutes longer, depending on oven. (You can tell if it is cooked if a cocktail stick, inserted in the middle, comes out clean.)

Good morning All-

I hope you are having a happy hump day! I certainly am. First I need to tell you that my dinner last night was off the chain. I can’t believe how well it turned out. I did a healthy home-made eggplant Parmesan. I went into it blind, and it came out AWESOME! First I sliced the eggplant and coated each side with some Pam. I dipped each slice in crushed up All-Bran Wheat Flakes, and laid them in a baking dish. I baked for about 15 minutes and then topped with tomato sauce and baked the eggplant for another 15-20 minutes. Once I felt they were getting soft I added the cheese. I made two dishes and tried out two different cheeses. To one dish I topped with some Organic Shredded mozzarella, and to the other dish I topped with some Ricotta. Both came out pretty tasty.

However I have to say I liked the Mozzarella better because it melted better. This was seriously delicious. I had 3 hearty slices of eggplant. I also grilled some zucchini and squash on my grill pan, and baked some yuka root in the oven.

The yuka root was…well…interesting. It was such a pain to cut up, and I thought to myself I’m never getting this again because it is way too hard to cut. But once I tasted it I was hooked. It was crunchy on the outside and sort of like a potato on the inside. Very interesting, and my mouth kept wanting more. I dipped my yuka in some bbq sauce. MMM MMM.

I’m still trying to research this vegetable to find out if it is really good for you or not. If you know what kind of vitamins or nutrients this has pls let me know!

This morning I woke up bright and early to do my 30 Day Shred.

I started off with my morning leg lifts and proceeded to the Shred. I haven’t done this in a while, and my arms were burning! WOW! I was a sweaty mess!

Breakfast consisted of a lovely yogurt parfait and some Guatemalan coffee.

Fresh, healthy, and filling! My parfait included:

1 Honey Chobani Yogurt

1/2 C All-Bran Wheat Flakes

1/2 of a banana

1 tsp flax seed

I used the Truvia again for my coffee. I’m starting to really like it. I only needed about 3/4 of a packet to get the coffee where I like it. I had the honey Chobani, and I liked it, but not as much as I like the Stonyfield Oikos Honey flavor.

The Chobani is honey flavored yogurt where the Oikos is plain flavored yogurt with real honey in it. It’s good and I still ate it, but I just prefer the Oikos.

So far this morning is going pretty well. Hopefully it will continue through the rest of the day.

P.s. My mom is in Spain right now…I hope she is enjoying herself and eating the authentic food and drinking the authentic Spanish wine. I’m so jealous that she got to go! HI MOM! Love you and hope you are having the time of your life!

P.P.S. Did you watch Biggest Loser last night? Holy Moly this is going to be a good season. I may have cried throughout the whole episode. WOW!
See ya later!

Oh boy! I am feeling chipper this morning!

Maybe it’s because I ate a glorious bowl of strawberry all bran this morning (fibre ladies, fibre). Yes, that’s probably the reason. Good ol’ fibre, always the happy-maker. What I am trying to say is that I’m laying off the toast and cream cheese and trying out the cereal breakfast option, to see if that will have any effect on my stubborn fatbags. (This is not to say that I would turn down an omelette if someone whipped one up for me. . . I am human after all).

This week I have biked to/from work 3x times, clocking up 43.8km total. I’m probably ready to take on the tour de france, or if not that, at least have a good race with Stacey. And maybe Jo, if she hasn’t just eaten. All in all though, biking rocks my world, and burns my quads like nobody’s business. But I guess I just made it your business. Also, today my chain popped off just before the McDonalds Island crossing, so I got to enjoy the feeling of looking really cool while “fixing” my bike on the side of the road. All the people eating McDonald’s breakfast looked out the windows at me with jealousy as they took another bite of hash brown. Mmmmm, hash brown.

So to sum up, let’s all get bikes and ride across the world!

P.S. I miss Nikki already. Come baaaaaaaaaack.

I woke up super tired this morning. I definitely went to bed too late last night. Since it is Spring (not that you would know it with the weather) I am going to make a concerted effort to try and exercise in the morning at least 2 times during the week. Starting tomorrow… I will be setting my alarm for 6am for a run. Let’s see if I do it hey!

On to today’s eats. I started off with a bowl of All Bran

soggy, ick . Got to use the box up though and it is very good for me!

For snacks today I had 2 Freedom bars and some Sakata Wholegrain rice crackers. I met my old boss for lunch at Schmears and had my usual sambo combo, rye bread, avocado, spinach, cucumber, tomato.

Very nice!

I also tried this tea today.

And I hated it. It tasted like grass .

I headed to the gym straight after work tonight and hit the 6.30pm spin class. It was sooooo hard but I powered through. My watch played up the whole time though so I MUST go get it checked out.

For dinner Adam’s friend Danny came over but since we’ve been indulging lately I kept it very low cal. I snacked on some of these as soon as I got home

tasty!!

I had salmon fillets and tofu, broccoli and bok choy. So I made a marinade for the tofu and salmon with honey, peanut butter, boiling water, garlic powder, ginger powder, chilli flakes and rice wine vinegar. I tossed the (pressed) tofu cubes and small pieces of salmon and baked them for 20 minutes. I then put the tofu under the griller for a few minutes just to crisp it up.

Greens

Salmon

Tofu

My plate.

The marinade was really tasty! I will be doing that one again . It turned out very spicy though and so I sculled lots of water during the meal.

Dessert was some raspberries!!!

Oh how I have missed you. I am heading to bed early to read my Harry Potter book and get some sleep for a run tomorrow.

4 a 6 porciones

Ingredientes

3 latas de atun en agua

1/2 cebolla

Sunday Morning!

I am up early again on a weekend…is this a trend??? I woke up at 7.30am and just couldn’t sleep anymore. It will have to be an early one tonight as I didn’t fall asleep till after midnight.

I’m excited for my 12k City to Surf practice run this morning! I fuelled up with a bowl of All Bran and a small apple. I finally got around to buying a pack to do the Vogels/Allbran taste test and the bottom line (in my opinion) it tastes ok but turns to complete mush in about 1 minute flat. Which doesn’t make for a great eating experience in my book. Vogels just keeps its crunch for ages!

Royal Gala’s are in season now – so crunchy!!

Adam is off to get me a coffee (yip yip!) and then I will head off to meet up with my friend! Hopefully the rain will hold out – fingers crossed!

Cheerios are easy to eat, but full of salt!

When my bro was a bambino, I tasted some of his Cheerios. I couldn’t believe how salty they were! Knowing this, I confess, I still bought some for Cillian, more just to encourage his picking-up skills skills than for actual nutrition.

Then I bought some other organic types, and the problem was that he couldn’t eat those as easily, something about the shape being a bit too thick. Definitely, Cheerios has the meltiness down pat.

But basically, I am convinced they are like potato chips for babies, so I let him eat them with that in mind. The health claims are bogus, if you ask me, or at least eclipsed or negated by the deleterious effect of the sodium content. I looked at the box, which confirms what I thought. There is a lot of sodium in there. What irks me is that these are marketed as a perfect kid’s food. Just look at the image above from the Cheerios website. To the Cheerios people: Your cereal is just too salty. You need to make an alternative low-sodium version for babies, if you want to market to them.

Maybe Canadian Cheerios are saltier than American Cheerios? The Globe and Mail just reported that Canadians are getting way more salt IN THE SAME FOODS that are served elsewhere in the world from companies like Burger King’s onion rings, Subway sandwiches, and cereal makers like Kelloggs (All Bran, of all things).

Let’s look at the curious case of All Bran. 861 mg of sodium for Canadians. For the US? A mere 258 mg of sodium, for the same product.

I’ve always contended that cereal is just junk food, and it looks like I’m right. Nothing wrong with junk food in my book, it just gets my hackles up when it’s portrayed and heavily marketed as healthy, nutritious stuff.

-GBS

What Cillian is doing now. Mercifully, sleeping. It’s been a wild ride of nightwaking and difficulty putting him to bed, this little dude. On the developmental side, he’s crawling like crazy, and yesterday he was chasing Janet around the house and yelling at her, for fun.

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!

I hope you all had a great and relaxing weekend! I’m sorry about my lack of posting yesterday, I let myself take the day and just recover from friday night.

Friday was really great! It started with a friend coming over some pre drinks, we caught up and split a bottle of Riesling. It was really nice to just kick back and enjoy some time with a friend. While it was hard for me at first to not think about the calories in the wine, it became easier to ignore that negative voice with each glass (not surprisingly ) Feeling a little buzzed we headed out to the bar where the party was. The birthday girl was well drunk, and we all had a great time.

I saw a lot of people who hadn’t seen me in a long time. One of my closest friends had just gotten back from a trip to Europe, and hadn’t seen me since I was at my lowest weight. When she saw me, she teared up a bit, and said I was looking so much better, and was looking a little bit more like my old self.

It was the best I have felt in a long time. The thought that I could look good has been far from my mind for months, so when people told me I did, it was hard for me to beleive it at first. But then I decided to take the compliment, and feel good about myself.

I had a great time, and left the night with many new plans to meet friends in the next week. Let it be a lesson: that even taking one step out of your shell can be a great leap forward!!

Saturday morning, was not as bad as expected! My head was throbbing a little but for the most part I was fine. I spent the morning watching trash TV with my mom (amazing hangover cure) but after a few hours we needed to get out of the house. So me, mom and my dad headed downtown and just enjoyed the weather and the bustle of the city. At around 5 I got a text from my friend inviting me to go see Bruno with a group of them.

My immediate reaction? I wanna go, but it interrupts my food schedule, so no.

Then I asked myself, would I really rather spend the night alone and stick exactlly to the food schedule or adjust the timing a little and be with my friends?

I adjusted and went!

I had an early dinner before the movie, and decided I could have the afternoon snack then instead after the movie. While it was a little anxiety provoking for me, I dealt with it, and got to see my girlies, and quite a hilarious movie.

My thoughts on Bruno? Shocking, but pretty funny (My post title is from da film)
Compared with Borat, it was not as funny, but I still laughed quite a lot, and have never said “oh my god” so many times in one sitting, haha. I’m so happy I saw this with friends, and not my parents!! haha

So all in all a great weekend, I felt pretty free from the grips of my eating disorder, and that felt great! Friends are much better company than the ED voice.

So I didn’t photograph all my eats these past two days, but I did photograph some so here they are

Friday’s Breakfast:

Oatmeal bagel with butter, slicd banana, tropical cottage cheese (yum) and some coffee.

This was a great breakfast, super yummy and filling. It fueled me through the whole morning Which included a starbucks run, an eyebrow wax, and general pampering for the evening ahead.

Friday’s Lunch:

Whole Wheat Pita with turkey, laughing cow and mustard, with the usual sides of course.

Looks yummy? yessssss.

Mid Afternoon Fuel:
I was going to skip this snack, because of the calories I was going to be taking in in the alcohol. But then I reminded myself, normal people do not limit their food intake before they drink, so why should I? Hence the thumbs up, it was a snack in the right direction Smores Luna Bar

Also a quick picture of my new stunnaaaa shades I told ya’ll about. [excuse me pops in the background]

I wish I had a photo of Friday nights dinner, it was beeaauuutiful. My mom poached some salmon in white wine and lemon juice, and also grilled some asparagus and made a gorgeous salad. It was a classy start to my messy night.

Saturday mornings breakfast was eaten half conciously, hence no photogrpah, but I had some maple oatmeal with 1/2 an english muffin spread with 1 tbsp DCD, and banana-nananana.

Morning Snack looked a little something like this:
A repeat picture? me? never!

…or maybe just this once

Creamy Vanilla Yogurt, all bran, and just imagine some nanner slices on top.

Ain’t no such thang as too much potassium..i hope.

Lunch was the usual shebang, except a tuna melt! yummmers.
Then I read all your lovely blogs, and pondered doing an entry myself…but then we were off to the downtown, hence no postings

Before ish dashed off for some super fantastish movie watchings, Bruno, I made this lovely dinner, inspired by a few blogs I like reading:
Sol Veggie Burger with mozzarella and ketchup on a whole wheat tortilla, panini’d and pressed. This was DELISH! Burgers on wraps, whodathunkit? But it was awesome, and definetley something I will repeat. I paired it with some steamed veggies, baby carrots, and my lemon lime gatorade.

xtra ketchup obvi on the side

I packed some kashi crackers along for the movie, and brought along my boost hoping I could have it during the movie, I ended up just having a fresh cold one when I got home instead.

Along with my Boost, I tried a new bar, similar to a LaraBar. It was a Nature Paths Organic Pure Fruit and Nut Bar - Chocolada Walnut flavour. I saw these in the store the other day and decided to be adventurous. It was vveeerrryyyy goood. Although nothing can take the place of larabars in my heart, these are quite similar, delicious, and come in many other flavours. Click here, for more info

Alright well I am off to enjoy the weather with the fam, we’re doing some gardening apparently. Hope you all have a relaxing sunday, and I will be back to regular posting tomorrow.

But before ya’all dash off, make sure to check out Jaime’s fearless and fabulous GIVEAWAY looks fantastic, yes?

Lots of love,
xx
